Summary

Za'lgatoth, also known as Zalgo, is one of the characters in Gods and Demons who personify evil, chaos and darkness, being an entity known as Tulpa, an abstract being born from the human unconscious and the collective observation of humanity. Zalgo is apparently one of the oldest tulpas, so ancient that its true origins are unknown, probably being worshiped by some ancient peoples as some evil deity with a hitherto unknown name. However, what matters is that after the introduction of Zalgo's creepypasta that was posted on reddit, the Dark Tulpa got a new name and a new identity, Zalgo, the Manifestation of the Apocalypse and He Who Waits Behind the Door.

Despite being an entity of pure chaos and evil, Zalgo remains an abstract being and, being considered a fiction because people don't believe him to be real, which consequently causes Zalgo to remain trapped in fiction, imprisoned by the human collective mind. However, Zalgo is still able to manifest through avatars that are personifications of the fears and afflictions of humanity, such as S.
