Winifred Briet
Really? That's my promo? I can knock out one better in my sleep... Just a vampire? Frenchmen call me Rouge, for the blood I spill would be honored no other way. People who can spell words correctly know me as the Rogue, a SUPERGOD-DAMNED renegade to an order even amongst the counts of the dead! And I am in this land for but one goal: I'M KILLING SATAN! THEN YOU'LL LIVE IN THE SHADOW OF THE FREEST SOUL TO EVER BE!
~ Winifred's introduction to the Crusaders
Maybe you assume your babbling won't be caught because you're that deaf for yourself. So allow me to breach the wax in your ears and pierce to that shekel-covered mind of yours. I am not just a Vampire. I am a Rogue. Blood can be lapped up by the dogs and the dirt, I eat LIFE! And SUPERGOD won't take this cursed existence, I SPIT IN HIS FACE! So I'll make sure the Devil won't have me either! You want me to back down... Guarantee my soul, whore. Before I eat yours.
~ Words soon made obsolete, good a show as it was.

Summary[]

Winifred is one of the primary members of the Shalom Crusaders, having joined in the midst of their time in the Daemonic Colony Prison. With her initial goal of killing Satan, she was roped into facing off against them on the third day of their time them, though this matchup quickly defused as Winifred realized her intended target was another of many different Satans, which threw a wrench into her ultimate objective of securing her soul from damnation in case of her death. From that point forward, she decided to align with the ragtag team for the sake of freedom, forming an unlikely friendship between Coin Lesser and Paramecia in an effort to defeat the Capitán and go into the world once again, perhaps taking a new approach to their desire for a true Eternal Life.

Powers and Stats[]

Tier: 8-C

Name: Winifred Briet

Origin: Kinyobi: Dusk before Dawn

Gender: Female

Age: Over 200

Classification: Rogue Vampire Shinigami Death Goddess Spirit, Fallen Cleric

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Kinyobi Physiology, Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3, 7; despite her relatively slow regeneration, was unbothered by being repeatedly impaled, immolated, and having her torso explode and violently launch out a majority of her vital organs.[1] Even her HP value going into the negatives is mitigated by the effects of Lethal Death: Darkness Beyond Darkness[2]), Regeneration (Mid, could heal from being impaled through the head and having a chunk of her skull and brain explode[1]), Martial Arts (Holds a fair sum of hand to hand combat proficiency, particularly in the art of grappling opponents in elaborate holds like the Triangle Choke[3] or Rear Naked Choke.[4] Despite the disorientation of having her skull explode, was capable of discerning her lack of coordination and avoid feigning to instead sweep Rosnek's legs, delivering an axe kick directly to his trachea[1]), Weapon Mastery (Specializes in this field to an even greater extent than martial arts. Was capable of catching an arrow and redirecting it from the hook of her blade.[3] Outclassed Rosnek and repeatedly struck him with her scythe, despite only possessing one arm to wield it[1]), Acrobatics (Enhanced Condition, All Terrain Mobility, Self Momentum; Possesses an extreme affinity for maneuvering her body even mid air, with Aerials in particular allowing her to launch herself and gain an immunity to environmental effects, alongside a heightened ability to evade attacks.[2] Capable of near indefinitely sustaining this through attacking enemies for leverage, and could kick off Rosnek to sustain her flight where her attack failed to land[1]), Awakened Power (By going below 25% HP, Survivalist will activate and give Winifred an increase to her ability to resist and evade attacks[2]), Life Manipulation (Can directly drain the HP of enemies through extended physical contact, taking off 20% of their maximum and healing Winifred for 75% of that, working even on the forcefields of adversaries.[5] Her attacks in general heal her for a sum of the damage she deals, which can be enhanced via the Drain stance of Blood Price[2]), Aura (Fear Inducing, Overwhelming; Lethal Death: Darkness Beyond Darkness applies half of her racial drain effect across a 2 meter radius, bypassing forcefields in the process[5] and provoking an intimidate check which cannot wear off so long as one remains in her radius[2]), Darkness Manipulation (Winifred's Belt Covered Robe is infused with a "Blacker than Black" darkness that protects her from sunlight as long as it's uncompromised,[6] which she projects outwards through Darkness Beyond Darkness[2]), Fear Manipulation (Capable of forcing an intimidate check when activating Darkness Beyond Darkness, generally proficient in the Intimidate skill[2]), Body Control (Has an innate ability to manipulate the components of their own body, and utilizes it with a variety of her abilities. Indestructible allows her cover herself in tentacles of flesh that absorb damage and increase her ability to heal, Protection From The World allows her to use her own blood to increase her SAVE values through either protecting against supernatural effects or propelling her own body away from attacks,[1] and potentially a far wider range of applications yet unexplored), Weapon Manipulation (Capable of generating her War AND Death Scythe through various components from her own body and can alter the angle of it's blade to shift between forms. Unholy Diver allows her to unleash a spray of blood from it's butt, propelling her downwards at a rapid rate.[2] Capable of turning her Scythe into a guitar[7]), Sound Manipulation (Capable of using her own blood as an Amp, producing "screams from hell" in conjunction with her Scythe's guitar form[7]), Healing (Get Out Alive allows her to use her own flesh as a means to restore the injuries of her allies, at the cost of her own HP[2]), Holy Manipulation, Death Manipulation and Damage Boost (Can deal either Dark or Holy damage via the Decay stance of Blood Price, dealing more damage the more HP an opponent is missing[2]), Teleportation (Capable of draining at the universe's spatial expansion via Across the Line, allowing her to travel 6 meters forward in an instant[2]), Status Effect Inducement (From Heads Unworthy allows Winifred to damage the legs of enemies, slowing their movements[2]), Gravity Manipulation (Gravity of Discomfort allows her to drain at the "weight of the world", warping gravity and spacetime as a result to launch an enemy towards her, dragging them straight through the distortion in the process[2]), Acid Manipulation (By donning Paramecia[1], Winifred can gain her core's ability to corrode enemies she's grappling), Kinyobi Resistances, Resistance to Poison Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, Acid Manipulation, Life Manipulation, Blood Manipulation, Disease Manipulation, Pain Manipulation (Vampires are completely immune to Natural Damage, as well as Fatigue, Bleed, Sickness, and Pain-type effects[8])

Attack Potency: Building level (Held their own against the Capitán in direct combat alongside the rest of the Shalom Crusaders,[7] who destroyed an entire arena with a single blast[1])

Speed: Relativistic+ (Capable of reacting to Ayasu's Lightspeed Movement, which is the literal capacity to move at the speed of light,[9] blocked the Capitán's lasers[7])

Lifting Strength: Class 25 (Physically impaled Rosnek through the top of a ladder with one arm, before embedding that ladder into a wooden platform.[1] Described as having strength comparable to a 20 foot tall Goliath[4])

Striking Strength: Building level

Durability: Building level

Stamina: Infinite (Immune to fatigue, and can persist through grievous injuries through natural resilience and regeneration)

Range: Standard Melee Range, Extended Melee Range with her Scythe, Several Meters with Swansong and Nothing Personnel

Standard Equipment: War AND Death Scythe (A weapon made of Winifred's own flesh and iron extracted from her blood, capable of shifting it's blade in order to transform into either a War Scythe, or a more stereotypical Death Scythe), Belt-Covered Robe (Attire Winifred created out of leather and her innate blacker than black darkness in order to protect her from the sun. It loses effect when she takes damage, but provides some use in fighting in sunlight)

  • Optional Equipment: Crystal Core of the Slimebound (Paramecia's core, which Winifred can draw power from by doning the slime's body as an impromptu protection against the sun, allowing her to regenerate in sunlight. This regeneration doubles when grappling an enemy, alongside causing Natural damage to be inflicted upon grappled opponents)

Intelligence: Gifted (While socially rambunctious and strategically reckless, possesses a long pedigree of military and direct combat experience, which she employs to great effect with or without her signature polearms. Even at a great disadvantage, such as when she needed to use her own body to guard a nearly dead Paramecia, she was able to deflect attacks delivered on either side by Alpha skeletons[1])

Standard Tactics: With her kit primarily consisting of melee implements and her extreme survivability, her first goal in combat is to close the distance on a given opponent, using Across the Line or Gravity of Discomfort to bridge the gap more quickly if she has the resources to spare. Once proximity is established, she makes liberal use of her various techniques should the circumstance allow it, making herself harder to damage or causing damage and negative effects directly. In cases of taking extreme damage and exposure to sunlight, she is also prone to disengaging and finding a source of shade to recover from.

Weaknesses: Sunlight weakens her and overwhelms her ability to regenerate with steady burn damage equivalent to what she would heal ordinarily. While more resilient to it than Vampires in general, still possesses a -50% weakness to Holy attacks.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:[]

Skills[]

  • [Vampire]: May feed upon a prone or grappled enemy for 5 Turn Action, rolling an unarmed melee attack with Advantage to-hit and to finish off to deal 20% of their maximum HP as Biological Damage while recovering half that amount. Against unconscious enemies, no roll is necessary. Needs to feed at least once per day, or suffer a Disadvantage to all checks. If unable to feed for over three days, they die.
  • [Light of Healing]: Gain a 50% increase to all healing received and given.
  • [Rejuvenation Through Agony]: You heal equal to 25% of the damage you deal.
  • [Blood Price]: As a bonus action, you may switch between a damaging and healing stance.
    • Decay: After hitting an enemy with an attack, they take an additional 5% of the enemy’s missing HP as Dark or Holy damage. No Rejuvenation Through Agony healing is gained as a result of this damage.
    • Drain: After hitting an enemy with an attack, you heal an additional 5% of your missing HP.
  • [Protection From the World]: Before rolling a saving throw, you may pay 2% of your maximum HP up to 3 times to gain a +1 to that saving throw that many times.
  • [Hand-to-Hand Combat]: This character’s Unarmed Base Power increases to 60 (that of an average weapon), if it would otherwise be lower. Additionally, they receive +3 to and vs. all Push/Pull and Grapple Combat Maneuver checks, and +3 to and vs. all Intimidate and Taunt Combat Maneuver checks.
  • [Caster of Fists]: Gains +3 to weapon attacks and Technique Save DCs, and negate a flat 8% of resistance to physical damage types.
  • [Survivalist]: When below 25% HP, gain +2 to AGI, STR, and END {Saves}, as well as to AC. Furthermore, gain +3 to Persist checks.

Techniques[]

  • [Nine Inch Nail: Impaler’s Animus/Death Throe]: An attack with varying effects based on the form of Winifred's War AND Death Scythe
    • War: Lunges one square and stabs into an opponent for 1.25x Damage.
    • Death: Makes a normal piercing attack. Upon success, blade hooks into the enemy and pulls them towards the user, initiating a grapple.
  • [Aerials: Cicada Killer]: A leap off the butt of the Scythe, sending Winifred flying up into the air for 3 Rounds. This acts as a form of pseudo-Flight, with +2 to AGI Saves and -2 to melee attacks and physical maneuvers targeting the user. Additionally, the penalty to the user’s melee attacks is ignored. Each successful attack takes the form of a spinning flourish that extends her hangtime by another round and allows her to dash up to 1 meter afterwards.
  • [Unholy Diver]: A spray of blood from the butt of her scythe propels her to the ground, stabbing into the opponent before diverting that momentum into a spin, delivering a second Blunt attack for half damage. Can be cast in place on the ground, but if done in the air, receive +2 to attack and can dash across 2 meters.
  • [From Heads Unworthy: Blood/Grain] An attack with varying effects based on the form of Winifred's War AND Death Scythe
    • War: Stabs for the leg of an enemy. On hit, the enemy makes an Endurance saving throw against Winifred's Strength or suffers 50% Slow for 2 Rounds.
    • Death: Slashes 3 meters horizontally in front of Winifred. Deals 75% base damage and on success, enemy makes Endurance saving throw against Winifred's Strength or suffers 25% Slow for 2 Rounds.

Spells[]

  • [Indestructible: Ten Thousand Hands]: Spawns Tendrils of flesh that serve as an automatic defense against attacks and extra prying hands to the life of Winifred’s foes. Puts up a shield for 75% of Winifred’s MAG damage for up to 3 rounds, which boosts healing received by 25% while it is up.
  • [Across the Line: Nothing personnel]: Drains life from space itself to interfere with its expansion, causing a warp which Winifred uses to appear behind an enemy in the blink of an eye. Has a range of 6 meters.
  • [Gravity of Discomfort: Swansong]: Takes a bite out of the world's weight, distorting gravity and spacetime to rip opponents towards Winifred. Enemy makes a STR saving throw, on fail, deals Dark Damage and gives disadvantage to the ensuing pull check, which covers the spell’s range. On success, deal half damage and initiate pull with no disadvantage.

[I WILL NOT BOW][]

Winifred's Final Gambit, representing a release of her natural form, as an animal of survival. As with many of these abilities, there are passive effects alongside more active uses.

  • +50% resistance to Holy
  • Rather than falling unconscious when going to or below 0 HP, may instead activate Lethal Death - Darkness Beyond Darkness and continue fighting. While at or below 0 HP, the mana cost is increased by 50%, to 45 MP, and she suffers a -2 to Attacks, Physical and Agility Maneuvers, and AC. This cost is not applied immediately upon the first activation, rather delaying it to her next turn. Increased MP cost is negated if she reaches full.
  • Get Out Alive - Graft: Winifred rips off parts of her own body and transfers them to an ally, directly converting her HP to theirs.
  • Lethal Death - Darkness Beyond Darkness: Winifred starts emitting an aura of death, potent enough to eat the sunlight and negate its penalties. At the end of Winifred’s turn, all enemies within 2 Squares of her are drained for 10% of their maximum HP as Natural Damage, healing Winifred by half that amount. Additionally, if they are not currently Intimidated, they must roll against Intimidate, with Winifred getting a +2 to this roll. The duration of Intimidate does not go down if they are inside of this area at the start of Winifred’s turn. At the start of Winifred’s turn, she may either spend 30 MP to continue the effect, or end it immediately.
