" | I don't care if Earth is destroyed, as long as Remnant is safe, I'll do anything. | " |
Summary[]
Weiss Schnee is the second member of Team RWBY. Her weapon is a Dust revolver/rapier named Myrtenaster, and her Semblance allows her to create glyphs in battle. At 17 years of age, she is the heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, a corporation famous for its sometimes shady business dealings, dangerous practices, and mistreatment of its Faunus laborers. Both the Schnee Dust Company and the Schnee family have been targets of the White Fang terrorist organization for years, leading to Weiss' inherent distrust of the Faunus. Weiss chose to become a Huntress over taking a job at SDC to restore her family's honor, as her father caused the company to decline. At the start of the show, she was shown as self-centered, standoffish, and an obnoxious know-it-all, but has matured somewhat throughout the show. She has a noticeable scar over her left eye, which she is assumed to have acquired in a fight against a living suit of armor in the 'White Trailer'. As of Volume 4, she is the former heiress of the Schnee Dust Company.
After the fall of Atlas, God contacts her after seeing her power and takes her and everyone who fell into the void to Earth. God purposely transports Weiss to the Isle of Nightmares as a way to empower her and ease his control over her. Her time on the island forces Weiss to evolve both physically and mentally, which eventually causes her to transform into a monster and take control of the island, thus becoming ruler of the place and becoming Queen of Monsters. She eventually makes it to the mainland, where she rejoins her team, but her new status as a monster makes her fall in the crosshairs of the hero association. During the invasion arc the association of Weiss monsters is possessed by Curious Nyan who fails to take control of her causing her to evolve once more and further distorting her sanity in the process. She later fights Flash Flashy and Tatsumaki, defeating them and turning them both into monsters and taking control of both. She is defeated by Boros during the surface battle, weakening her enough that she is willing to accept becoming God's puppet.

When in combat, Weiss remains calm and tactical, fighting with precision and coordination. As a testament to her skills, Weiss was listed as the top ranking of the sparring class during the events of the Vytal Festival. Weiss can move quickly and is creative on the battlefield, particularly with Ice Dust, although she is proficient in several different elements. She can use them both on their own and incorporate them into her Glyphs and can rapidly switch between several different elements in rapid succession without faltering. Weiss also mastered summoning in a relatively short time despite being completely unable to do so and believing she was incapable of doing so prior, during her time on the Isle of Nightmares, Weiss demonstrated high survivability, being able to adapt to various adversities in her time on the island, quickly learning to survive even without her weapon or Dust, she also demonstrated the ability to copy Ruby's fighting style limited) | Genius (Unlike what happens in most cases, the monster enhanced Weiss's intelligence, allowing her to master a wide variety of weapons, in addition to copying and synthesizing the fighting styles of her entire team, friends and family into a single one, to the point of giving the impression that his opponents were fighting several people at the same time, also possessing great cunning in combat, knowing how to take advantage of the environment to his advantage and mastering his countless skills in a few hours, skills that are so complex that for an ordinary person it would take more than a century to master, she has also demonstrated the ability to manage a large group of monsters with limited intelligence, tame and train beings with an intelligence level slightly above that of a jellyfish, as well as being able to identify the weaknesses of her past enemies' fighting styles) | Extraordinary Genius
Weaknesses: Stronger summons such as the Arma Gigas take a few seconds to be fully summoned (Though she can summon parts of them instantly) | None Notable | The monstrification and the trauma left her mentally unstable, her Grimm heritage leaves her vulnerable to the divine effects of the silver eyes | the desperation and loss of her team has made her even more mentally unstable, making her easily lose her temper against illusion users.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Glyphs: Weiss' Semblance is Glyphs, which is the hereditary Semblance of the Schnee family. Her Glyphs have a variety of effects on objects, monsters, and people, but she often uses her Glyphs for propulsion, as they can control motion, with the basic Glyph type exerting push forces on other objects and acting as a solid surface.
- Glyphs+: Thanks to her training under Winter in Atlas, Weiss' Semblance evolved further. Alongside her other Glyph abilities, using her enhanced Semblance, Weiss can now cause the Dust Glyphs she creates to shatter into a flurry of Dust-infused shards that damage those around it. In addition, Weiss' is able to utilize her Dust much more efficiently, with each Glyph using half as much Dust as it used to.
- Default Glyphs: Weiss' default Glyph allows her to create a seemingly solid force, allowing Weiss to push whatever is within their influence. This Glyph usually appears white or pale blue. Weiss can stand on this Glyph, using it as a platform for various acrobatic movements, including breaking a free-fall and quickly reversing her motion by kicking off of it mid-air, as well as instantly amplifying the speed of objects both through the air and over surfaces. She can also use this Glyph to create a barrier. When directly channeled through Myrtenaster, the white setting instead creates what can best be described as a 'finishing move', causing enormous damage to foes. When used on the Arma Gigas, it appeared to disintegrate into ice shards after being hit with this move.
- Dust Glyphs: Using Myrtenaster, Weiss can modify her Glyphs to give them added effects. Weiss is also able to confer these enhancements upon other people.
- Ice: Weiss can utilize her Glyphs to manipulate what shape her ice will take. She can launch towards a foe using a circling motion of Myrtenaster's blade, send out a wave or field of ice from the blade to trap or immobilizing a foe, augment projectile attacks so that they explode into ice crystals on impact, create large barriers of ice, ice daggers, giant ice swords, and can even use her Glyphs to manipulate ice in her surroundings. As of Volume 6, Weiss can use ice Glyphs directly on her opponent, using them to freeze their body itself so thoroughly that attacking it causes them to physically shatter.
- Pierce: Weiss uses a glyph to propel herself forward, freezing the enemy on contact as well as any in the immediate area.
- Gravity: A black Glyph with several different properties. Gravity Glyphs demonstrate a pulling property, and when used on a solid surface it allows Weiss or anyone on it to stick to it and not fall off, even if that surface is vertical or even upside-down. When used in mid-air, this Glyph can amplify the speed anything sent through it so it moves several times faster than its initial velocity. Weiss can also combine this Glyph with her default Glyph to create a mid-air platform that she can stand on at any angle, and can manipulate to change her trajectory instantly to the point that so much as touching the glyph with her finger will propel her in the opposite direction. Gravity Glyphs can also be used offensively to create a low or anti-gravity field to make enemies float in midair and allows Weiss to throw them around while they are in said field, as well as create Glyphs in front of her to repel opponents and underneath the opponent to launch them into the air. Weiss can also augment her physical attacks with this Glyph, allowing her to deal increased damage with her slashes, as well as trap enemies inside of a Glyph to restrain them.
- Hard Light: When combined with her Glyphs, Weiss can create numerous light blue glyphs that fire energy projectiles that curve through the air and strike her opponent as well as create restraints to suspend her foe in midair.
- Time Dilation: Weiss can utilize her Glyphs in conjunction with Lightning Dust to create a time dilation field, which speeds up the user's actions.
- Summoning Glyphs: A Glyph unique to the Schnee family, Weiss can summon avatars of the foes that she has defeated in combat and bring them to fight for their side. She has shown to be proficient enough to be able to summon creatures such as a Boarbatusk and the Arma Gigas. She can also cause her summons to teleport and use her glyphs as surfaces to jump off, as demonstrated in "Dread in the Air". She is capable of manipulating the size of her summons, as seen in "Unforeseen Complications".
- Air Slash: A long-range attack, where Weiss is able to generate air slashes for her targets.
- Adaptability: During his various fights, Weiss has shown to adapt both physically to become faster and stronger, as well as to be able to resist harmful effects such as acids, sleeping pills, poisons, among other adversities.
Monster Queen: Weiss assumes this form, after succumbing to wrath, thus becoming powerful enough to defeat the entire Legion of Monsters, Earth's natural monstrification proved to be compatible with the Grimm essence that was sealed in Weiss's heart, thus making it a kind of monster. Monster-Grimm hybrid that was also compatible with Schnee blood, thus making it one of the most powerful Disaster Level Dragons, also becoming the most powerful being on the Isle of Nightmares.
- Regeneration: Her monstrification made her develop a rapid regeneration that is able to heal wounds in seconds and even regenerate the heart in a few moments.
- Master Combatent: The augmentation of monsterification with Nightmare's Grimm heritage increased Weiss's intelligence to the point where it allowed her to copy and memorize numerous combat styles from various individuals she witnessed fighting, copy the fighting styles of her team and friends, and synthesize into a single style that makes your enemies feel like they're fighting multiple people at the same time.
- Various Fight Styles:
- RWBY Fight Style: It is a combat style developed by Weiss, which is based on two things, the combat style of the entire RWBY team mixed in a single style and a moldable weapon that changes according to the wielder's will, thus being able to assume the various functionalities of the weapons. Own to each individual on the RWBY team, this style demonstrates the ability to overwhelm the opponent giving the impression of fighting 4 people at once.
- Composite Style: It is an even more complex form of combat than the RWBY fighting style, where in addition to integrating the combat method of each member of the RWBY team, it also includes the fighting styles of the JNPR team, Winter, Qrow, Penny, Sun and Netune, as well as making Weiss fight like an army, overwhelming his opponents with 13 different fighting styles.
- Various Fight Styles:
- Summon Execution: It is a lethal attack that Weiss often uses against single opponents that pose a considerable threat, this attack relies on reducing a Summon to size enough to enter an enemy's body and then maximizing its size to the point of exploding the target from the inside out to outside.
- Limbs Creation: On multiple occasions when using the Composite Style, Weiss will summon extra limbs from his Summons to overwhelm his opponents and overwhelm them.
- Dimensional Storage: She was able to place the entire Nightmare Island in her dimensional storage to transport her army along with her.
- Flight:She is able to generate wings from her summons to fly and use her Glyphs as aerial platforms to walk on air.
Big Rip's Archangel: Weiss assumed this form after being overwhelmingly defeated by Boros, thus becoming desperate enough to fall for the temptations of "God", this form enhanced her ability with her semblance, making it especially compatible with temporal manipulations, increasing the power of her control over the cold to the point of causing her to drop the ambient temperature to below absolute zero, also giving the ability to summon any non-living being from anywhere in the multiverse and their divine magic that was stolen from the gods of Remnant, Her various sources of power (The Blood Schnee, Nightmare's Grimm heritage, the damage to her limiter during her stay on the island, the monstrification that raised her limiter even higher, Curious Nyan's attempted possession that culminated in her partial fusion soul of Weiss with Nyan, magic stolen from Salem, Cinder and the creator gods of Remnant, and God's own blessing) making her incredibly versatile and powerful, with many broken abilities.
- Ice Apocalipse: She possesses powerful freezing attacks that are capable of affecting large areas, easily generating mountains of ice and in more extreme cases freezing an entire star.
- Planetary Storm: Able to generate gigantic storms that can be seen from space, as well as being able to generate magical storms capable of swallowing the Sun.
- Summon: She is capable of summoning a great diversity of individuals from multiple different sources, from her pocket dimension, from another universe or even summoning something directly from her imagination.
- Storage Convocation: She has demonstrated the ability to summon any creature that is in her control, creatures and objects that she usually keeps in her pocket dimension.
- Imaginary Summon: She was able to create an entirely new weapon by imagining a combination of her teammates' weapons.
- Multiversal Invocation: It was able to summon a legion of beings with different abilities, powers and strength, pulling them from different universes and parallel timelines, also being able to pull even celestial objects such as planets, stars and black holes.
- Time Manipulation: On numerous occasions she has demonstrated the ability to control time both offensively and defensively, she often abuses this ability when facing tricky opponents.
- Time Stop: It is said that the cold it produces is so powerful that it can freeze time itself, Weiss uses this ability to deliver a fatal blow with the intent to kill against any opponent who poses a threat.
- Time Travel: Time travel is an ability manifested in the form of large portals with the appearance of temporal Glyphs, used as a trump card against opponents she is unable to kill directly, creating a portal to the past with the aim of killing the target in their childhood or Some ancestor, in her battle against Saitama, Boros and Garou, she demonstrated being able to go back to the point of the formation of planet Earth and it was stated that she is capable of going to the future.
- Time Regression: She is able to rewind time, using this ability to undo attacks and damage suffered, she also used this ability to trap Saitama inside a recently destroyed planet by rewinding time and returning the planet to its previous state, Weiss used this ability to reverse Saitama's massive stat growth from his increased emotions, although it had limited results due to the speed of his growth.
- Time Acelleration: She used temporal acceleration to increase her speed so she could keep up with the growth in speed of Saitama, Garou and Boros who were suffering in the middle of the battle.
- Atemporal Attack:
- Limited Precognition: Weiss has demonstrated the ability to see future scenes.
- Time Destroyer: Weiss's most powerful attack, used only as a last resort, where she creates a vortex in time and space that will erase the timeline completely.
- Temporal Damage Negation: Weiss uses this ability to negate incoming damage, by freezing the time in which the damage from an attack is applied to her body, thus ensuring that the damage from the blow is never suffered as its passage of time is reduced to 0.
- Time-Space BFR: Technique used on opponents superior to her, where she creates a portal that sends the target to another universe and time period, a technique used on Jaune to send him back to Remnant.
- Age Manipulation: An ability that aims to reduce or increase the target's age to the point that they are out of combat, generally used to erase an individual from existence by aging them so much that not even their bones shadow them or reducing their age to zero, which would erase them from existence.
- Vector Manipulation: Ability used against long-range attacks, reversing its temporal direction and causing it to have the opposite effect of the original and returning it to the launcher, such as the fact that a fireball launched by the target is reversed and returns to its launcher and instead of burning, it freezes because of the loss of temperature when reducing it to its original state.
