Combat Statistics[]
Tier: At least 10-B, likely higher, High 6-C with Saber | Varies from 10-B to High 6-C, higher in Rage Trance and Hard Drive Divinity, at most Low 7-B with Zorua, Unknown with Slifer the Sky Dragon, Low 6-B with Summons | Unknown, likely 2-C, possibly 1-C. At least 2-C with Creation and Environmental Destruction
Keys: Familial Bonds|Composite Dream Self|Lucid Self
Powers and Abilities:
Stealth Mastery (Broke his parents out of a military prison alongside a squad of elite soldiers), Social Influencing (Quickly became a key figure in a rebellion and commanded many characters throughout the dream), likely Genius Intelligence, limited Telepathy (With Saber), limited Healing (Of beings with abnormal bodies), Summoning and Power Modification of Saber (With Command Spells), likely Weapon Mastery (Shown using a gun alongside elite soldiers), Statistics Amplification and Healing/Status Effect Removal (With items), and Resistance to Electricity and Radiation Manipulation (Completely unaffected by large concentrations of Electro Energy) and those of Nasuverse magi (Unlike the rest of his family, WD was confirmed to have Magic Circuits)
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, all of Homelander’s powers to a lesser extent, Accelerated Development, enhanced Charisma (One version was “The King of [redacted] Texas” and made it a much higher class city than in reality. In fact, he was such an influential figure that he was in Shido’s palace despite not being Japanese and the implication they don’t see eye-to-eye. Another was a successful content creator who guest starred on many YouTube channels before even making his own content. When acting as Makoto Naegi, WD was able to convince Mukuro Ikusaba to turn on her sister and the latter to let him live despite his brazen attempts to oppose her, such as his guidance of Alter ego and helping Kiyoko Kirigiri recover her memories. One version restored a non-human friend’s faith in humanity after they suffered such a traumatic experience their memories were altered to think WD wasn’t human. Convinced Chara to accept their challenge.), Supernatural Willpower (Chara hinted that WDinATX's DETERMINATION is exceptional even among humans with a red SOUL and that he could surpass theirs [see note 4]), limited Sealing (With Poke Balls), enhanced Stealth (Snuck out of a boarding school large enough to have its own mall as an elementary schooler. Would have snuck out of his hometown after it was taken over by “the conqueror.” Somehow snuck into the cockpit of a city-sized airplane despite not knowing it was a restricted area -meaning he wasn’t actively being stealthy- and its security being prepared for people as savvy as Loki, though this could be attributed to luck.), Vehicular Mastery (One version was an accomplished Turbo Duelist), likely minor Precognition (Often has vague premonitions that turn out to be true, such as when instinctively knew a specific TTRPG would prepare his family for an upcoming crisis, Cosmic Awareness (Was accidentally granted intricate knowledge of reality by his Lucid Self), Fourth Wall Breaking (Some versions that meet fictional characters are aware of such. Told Junko that he'd played the Danganronpa series and came from "beyond the 4th wall." A rare few have realized that they were in a dream, though this usually causes it to end.), possibly Luck Manipulation (Akin to Yugi Moto, WD drew the card he needed and played it without even looking. Later on he drew the cards he needed to survive several turns after he’d “lost.”), Magic (One version was a Rod Hero from Shield Hero, but was never seen fighting. Another was a DnD mage.), likely Supernatural Luck (While the one acting as Makoto was noted to lack his luck, another iteration accidentally got past a security system prepared for Loki), Weapon Mastery (One version hit a distant -but large- target with a spear while barely awake. Another used a sword and shield as a clearer past SAO’s 30th Floor.), Electricity Manipulation (One version was taught Atlantean magic and their lightning was considered impressive bu one of the greatest mages in their royal family), Ice Manipulation (Flash froze a rival mage with Cone of Cold), Rage Power (Sufficient rage puts WDinATX in a trance where he’s much stronger and more ruthless, at the cost of added sadism), Physiology, Summoning, Statistics Amplification and possibly Resurrection as a Demi-Servant (Could summon various monsters from Yusei Fudo's deck. This includes the Stardust Dragon, which was described as giving "Divine Protection" to its allies and "maybe even" prevent Tsumugari Muramasa from killing its user.), Empowerment, Time Stop, Acausality (Type 1), Time Manipulation, limited Longevity, Immortality (Type 4 normally, Types 2 and 7 after dying), Resistance to Soul Manipulation, likely Power Nullification and Resistance to it through DETERMINATION (Was taught to produce DETERMINATION with his red SOUL by Chara and could take it a step further by "pausing" the world, somehow being able to move in stopped time. As a human with a red SOUL he should be at least comparable those of the Six Fallen Children, all of which were equal to all monster SOULs put together and persist for several decades after their death. It was implied Chara couldn't take away his DETERMINATION, who was stated to have done so to several of their "partners", and to have the potential to surpass theirs. [See note 4]), self-BFR (Attempted to escape Miyuki by waking up), Self-Sustenance, Resistance to Extreme Heat (One version was unaffected by the heat of a “lava monster” that was scorching the landscape with its presence), Fear Manipulation (Was unfazed by Chara's intimidation and a Adult Dragon’s aura) and possibly Sleep Manipulation (While most versions are especially vulnerable, one could wake up and somewhat fight after being pumped with copious amounts of sedative while asleep. Another was uninhibited by three darts coated with Drow Sleeping poison.), Madness Manipulation (Went through 5 trials by eldritch beings that were meant to “expand his mind” so he could interact with them without losing his mind. Was able to comprehend his Lucid Self without going mad, though he theorized that this was due to their connection), many others
All prior in addition to limited Subjective Reality and Plot Manipulation (By adding and removing plot points, though he has little control of this. His subconscious controls every aspect of the dreams, with even the things people say and do being “dialogue in his [dreams]” as opposed to true autonomy.), Time Stop (Accidentally “paused” the dream on numerous occasions), Teleportation (Teleported Dream WDinATX away from a train crash), Creation (Stated to create things that were “always there” with a thought), Existence Erasure (Accidentally took away people’s identities on several occasions, turning them into “cardboard cutouts” with no mind or soul. Implied to have erased a train and most of its passengers from existence. Described as “deleting something or someone like they never existed” with one stray thought.), Mind Manipulation (Accidentally created animosity between Josuke and Hayato by thinking about his distaste for the former. Constantly changes people’s personality on accident, even mid-dream.), Reality Warping (By believing it’s canon, he can change aspects of an established world), Clairvoyance, Power Bestowal (Accidentally made Malty Melromarc able to fight against several powerful characters from her verse at once and allowed her to break the 4th wall. Gave Hayato a Stand. Accidentally gave his dream self and Sone Miyuki Cosmic Awareness. With this awareness the former stated that “our personality, powers, skills, body, mind and even biology are at the whims of the dreamer.), Acausality (Type 4. Exists on a linear path through time that’s separate from that of the dream worlds.), Nonexistent Physiology (Nature Type 2; Aspect Types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Is an “outsider to the plot” who shouldn’t have any presence or influence in his dreams. Even forth wall breakers aware they’re in a dream can’t comprehend his existence without going mad.), Madness Manipulation (Type 3), likely many others
Attack Potency: At least Human Level, likely higher (Never physically attacked, but could scale to the elite soldiers he fought alongside. Likely comparable to his sister at the dream’s start, whose [triathlon] coach considered a near-Olympian athlete.), Peak Human Level with weaponry and Large Island level+ with Saber | Varies from Human Level to Large Island Level+, (Most versions are physically unremarkable humans, with one being overpowered by Andrew Graves. Was described as slightly weaker than Pre-Usurpation Sone Miyuki. One version threw a truck from a parking lot into a nearby pool and continuously got stronger during the dream, eventually matching an Adult Dragon’s strength. The Conqueror and Heathcliff were both surprised none of Aincrad's Five Legendary Guardians chose the SAO Player, implying that he's one of Aincrad’s strongest. One version had a copy of Homelander’s powers and fought on par with him, but was ultimately far weaker. Another was a “Rod Hero” in Shield Hero's setting and would presumably scale above the High Priest’s Judgement, albeit he was never shown fighting. Used Cone of Cold to freeze a rival mage and at least half a pool nearly as large as an Olympic Swimming Pool, Has been a Demi-Servant of "Gamer: Yusei Fudo" and was described as "actually packing a punch" despite generally being unsuited for direct combat, making him superior to Servants like Euryale and Stheno.), higher in Rage Trance (Consistently stomps people on par with him normally and fights on par with people who’d previously no-sold his attacks), at most Small City Level with Zorua, Unknown with Slifer the Sky Dragon (Was shown to affect the real world when WDinATX dueled with it but it’s unknown if he could use its true power), up to Small Country Level with Summons (His “true strength” as Demi-Servant of Yusei Fudo was in his ability to summon monsters. This includes the Stardust Dragon which, as a dragon, should scale to Fafnir.Despite claiming to be far inferior to his uncle as a Demi-Servant of Senji Muramasa he was considered a "real contender" in a competition between dozens of Demi-Servants, when one of Medusa was not.) | Unknown (Never intentionally interferes with the dreams), likely Low Multiverse Level, possibly Complex Multiverse Level (Should be superior to any of the “perspectives” in the dreams, which are described as “reflections of reflections” of him. This includes a version of White Heart with low Shares who fought in par with Purple Sister despite having “literally no chance of winning” against the “objectively superior opponent.”), at leastLow Multiverse Level with Creation and Environmental Destruction (Exists as the "real WDinATX" that's having the dreams and presumably is responsible for their existence. Sees his dreams as fiction and has accidentally caused several dreams to "break apart" by trying to influence them. This includes several dreams like “Double Home: Double Life” that explicitly involved multiple universes. [See note 3]), many abilities ignore conventional durability
Speed: Likely Athletic Human (Fought alongside elite soldiers and is possibly comparable to his sister at the dream’s start, who's a near-Olympian athlete), with Relativistic+ possibly FTL reactions (Could assist and give orders in various battles, only struggling when Saber was moving at lightspeed) | Varies from Average Human to Reletivistic+ with FTL reactions, Massively Hypersonic with Zorua, Unknown with Slifer, up to Reletavistic+ with FTL reactions with summons | Unknown
Lifting Strength: Unknown | Varies | Unknown
Striking Strength: At least Human Level, likely higher | Varies from Human Level to Large Island Level+ | Unknown
Durability: At least Wall Level (Took a glancing blow from an amped Bowser’s flame breath with minor injuries, which had previously collapsed a massive stone temple) | Varies from Human Level to Large Island Level+ (Miyuki broke his ribs with a punch. Took a brutal beating from Homelander, but was ultimately killed. Unaffected by the heat of a monster that was "scorching the landscape" with its presence. Scales from Euryale and Stheno.), has various abilities that make him difficult to kill | Unknown, Nonexistent Physiology makes him difficult to kill
Stamina: Superhuman (Was barely affected by several second-degree burns and can walk long distances without food or rest. Consistently fights in multiple sequential battles, albeit usually as support, without needing a break. Keeps up with Keqing’s high standards, who infamously never had an assistant for more than three months.) | In addition to his prior feats; fought on par with Homelander for several minutes despite their difference in strength and continued fighting on the verge of death. While he admitted to lacking the optimism of the Ultimate Hope WDinATX could maintain composure for debates that lasted hours and quickly come up with a plan that impressed Junko Enoshima under threat of death. Won a Shadow Game with cuts all over his body while continuously shifting his weight to keep blood off his cards and recovered in time for his duel with Seto Kaiba. Dueled several of “the conqueror’s” minions, all of which were among the best Duelists in the country and had The Seal of Orichalcos, before facing their leader. Could accurately throw a spear while barely awake. Chara hinted (see note 4) that WDinATX's DETERMINATION was exceptional even among humans with a red SOUL and that he had the potential to surpass them. Was uninhibited by three darts of Drow Sleeping Poison that left his party member unconscious. Ran through Miyuki’s maze for years while having his physical stamina restored, enduring constant exhaustion in the process. | Low (Can only use his powers for a few seconds.)
Range: Standard melee range, several meters with items (As far as he could throw), and up to hundreds of meters with firearms | Varies | Kilometers with Teleportation
Standard Equipment: None normally, but was given several items by Mario and used guns on multiple occasions | Varies | None
Intelligence: At least Gifted, likely Genius (While generally inferior to Keqing, WD can keep up with her infamously high standards and is considered the superior tactician. His tactics were so invaluable to a resistance group that he became their unofficial leader within days and led them to great effect against superior forces. Supported characters as savvy as the Mario Bros and Edward Elric with his tactics, leaving the former baffled by the ease they beat an amped Bowser and the latter impressed by his quick thinking. Learned magecraft to heal spiritual beings just by watching a Homunculus regenerate. Alongside Saber, WD made a near-foolproof plan to defeat Tartaglia that would have worked if not for their haste.) | In addition to his previous feats; Defeated Homelander in psychological warfare twice and his sacrifice was instrumental in unveiling his true nature to the world. Alongside his family he made [redacted] Texas much more “high-class” than in reality. Had mixed results getting a better ending than Makoto Naegi in DR1 despite lacking his luck and some initial brashness, managing to unmask Mukuro Ikusaba and convince her to work with the group. Quickly adapted to Junko learning what he was and (under the threat of death) set up a ceasefire where he couldn’t use [openly] his or Mukuro’s outside knowledge by goading the Ultimate Despair into a “competition” against someone from beyond the 4th wall. Saved Chihiro’s life by interrupting Mondo and Kiyo’s stamina competition, causing a somewhat-planned chain reaction that led to Mondo killing the latter instead of the former. Easily learned his Zorua’s mannerisms and how to recognize her “human form.” Became America’s national champion duelist at the age of 18 and (under the mentorship of Joey Wheeler) reached the semi-finals of a second Battle City tournament, winning a Shadow Game against a “Shadow Duelist” who learned their magic solely to improve their dueling and was presumably comparable to the one that defeated his mentor. Years later he taught his sister everything she knew and built a deck suiting her playstyle, which she used to dominate several Shadow Duelists that rivaled pre-Joey WDinATX before they enhanced their skills with magic. Even after greatly improving her skills and deck to defeat “The Conqueror’s” minions, such as Valon, she was still the weaker sibling. WDinATX wasn't remotely challenged by the patriarch of the aforementioned Shadow Duelists, dismissing his years of preparation and sacrifices to defeat him as "pointless." Worked together with his sister to defeat the spirits guarding Slifer the Sky Dragon in a duel “close enough to Shadow game,” whose decks were specifically designed to counter his. The SAO Player, despite being a far inferior duelist, completely humiliated Weevil Underwood with an unfamiliar deck and him not receiving one of Aincrad's "Legendary Guardians" was seen as proof that they valued more than someone's abilities. As one of Liung's best students he shouldn't be far behind Asuna (his number 1 student) and contributed to the former's thesis on the connection between Xǐngxiǎng/Alteration (Incarnation in canon) and the Heart of the Cards. Another version was a proficient Dueltainer who organized a team consisting of Shay Obsidian, Joey Wheeler, Shion Sakura and himself. They all agree that he was superior to the former two and on par with the latter (the protege of Rafael who’d surpassed her mentor) and led the team. WDinATX later contended with a mind-controlled Yusho Sakaki before the latter played his god card, though he was quickly overpowered afterwards and would’ve died without Tristan Spade’s intervention. Came up with 19 plans to prevent the Doctor‘s disguise as [redacted] from hurting anyone while greatly handicapping himself and it was implied that his failures had more to do with his mental state than his intelligence. A version born in the 60s somehow deduced the existence of the internet just from an iPhone that was sent back in time and could reverse engineer a device to cryogenically freeze people from its blueprints, which were implied to have been written by his future self. Multiple versions have mastered a video game in an extremely brief period of time to just humiliate an experienced player (often a pro) that’d angered him. Trained for years as a mage and uncovered the Sharran cult using it as a cover. | Despite being much less knowledgeable [see note 2] than his dream counterpart Lucid WD possesses a far better insight than him; seeing through tricks that Dream WD falls for, understanding the mechanics of abilities that he doesn’t, deducing someone’s entire mindset and motivations, etc. Almost always understands Dream WD (and other “perspectives”) better than they understands themselves.
Weaknesses:
Was initially naive and lacked confidence. Refuses to use Command Spells without Saber’s permission, even in a life or death situation. Has a near-obsessive desire to make his plans “efficient” and is quite hasty, which has nearly gotten him killed on multiple occasions. Items are limited in use and his healing magecraft only works on beings primarily made of mana.
All prior, in addition to:
- WDinATX’s stubbornness and desire for success can cloud his judgement.
- Is sometimes portrayed as arrogant and/or unobservant, to the point of underestimating Junko Enoshima’s analytical skills and looking down on "the conqueror" until it was too late. Chara's partner was willing to purposely fall for obvious tricks/traps because he could undo them
- Suffers from extreme tunnel vision when angered, which has led to multiple versions' defeat/death.
- Tends to be portrayed as fanatically loyal to his loved ones and cripplingly afraid of failure, which a “doctor” exploited to (presumably) make him commit suicide and the mere sight of his sister crying sent another iteration into a blind rage. The mere idea of dying without his girlfriend knowing why made him willing to do terrible things at Ashley Graves' behest.
- Is often portrayed as a heavy sleeper, to the point Malty claimed that she’d “never seen someone so vulnerable to sleep magic." This has made multiple versions of WD late/absent for important events or even fall asleep mid-battle.
- Several iterations have little regard for their life, with Hugie’s friend seemingly having a Martyr-Complex and the SAO player casually wondering when he’d die.
- Is exceptionally vengeful, with the SAO player frustrated he couldn't "familiarize [Weevil] with the pain absorber's limits" after the bug duelist spent their whole duel slandering him and his loved ones and another version killed a famous serial killer with such brutality that a crowd of people (including families of their victims and WDinATX’s own parents) looked at him with disgust. Was described as having a habit of toying with his opponents in his Rage Trance.
- Hugie’s friend was inexperienced with his powers.
- Most versions are susceptible to going mad when suddenly given immense power, such as when Chara's "partner" was implied to have fallen for a trick on purpose so he could violently beat a child and undo them even meeting.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Spiritual Healing: A technique WDinATX learned out of a desire to assist Saber in combat and named after her nature as a Heroic Spirit. Contrary to its name, this technique doesn’t work by restoring spirits but instead by directly reinforcing the energy that makes up certain beings. Since this was inspired by a homunculus’ regeneration it likely works on beings made through magical means as well as ones made of magical energy.
- Rage Trance: When WDinATX witnesses his loved ones suffer and his anger goes past a certain threshold he enters a trance. While in this trance he can't even think about anything beyond his current plan to make that target suffer and gains enough strength to stomp people who could previously contend with him. This even extends to non-physical tasks like Duel Monsters or video games.. But because WD usually toys around with his foes to make them suffer he can be taken off guard or end up doing things he'd later regret. Some versions retain scattered memories of this time while others completely black out.
Note 1: The composited key is composed of varying iterations of my Dream Self that are essentially different characters despite being hard to tell apart, such as how the duelist and SAO player were explicitly different people who looked identical.
Note 1.5: While most dreams where I’m dreaming “as someone else” are excluded; Makoto Naegi is an exception due to it explicitly having “me” wake up as him, my dream self knowing about Danganronpa as a story, and outright lamenting that he lacked Makoto’s luck or optimism.
Note 2: When my Dream Self shows knowledge I don’t have the “camera” cuts away, which accounts for most of "my" intelligence feats.
Note 3: Whenever my Lucid Self tried consciously controlling the dream "my" mind was overwhelmed by feeling everything usually breaking down and being fixed again, to the point they rarely do more than watch the dream from the third person. While he isn't directly stated to have created the dream world it's been referred to as "[his] dream" on multiple occasions and it's clear he sees them as fictional.
Note 3.5: Multiple dreams have focused on traveling to other universes, proving that there's a multiverse of some sort.
Note 4: While Chara and my Dream Self had equal control over the timeline after the former taught the latter how to produce DETERMINATION it was left ambiguous if they could change that. My Lucid Self theorized that they either were grooming their "partner" to surpass them in a bid to commit suicide or that they simply were curious if it was really possible but he acknowledged that they could be lying about my Dream Self's potential.
Note 5: Unlike in canon, the “meta twist” involving Miyuki was the knowledge that “this world is run by god who can’t control his own power” and who changed history so she wouldn’t be with Shinichi on accident.
