Summary[]

Everyone has dreams that seem to both be ridiculous and stuck in your mind like it’s real. Sometimes it’s just one scene in an otherwise foggy dream but this wasn’t that. It was an epic adventure with my family as we learned what makes us so close. We were on a quest. I don’t remember when or why but at some point we got (Nasuverse) magic circuits, with my parents having an intuitive type of magecraft. But not me, I initially thought the world was mocking me until Fate itself showed me my role. It wasn’t to fight in the light or the shadows… it was to be the light. With Saber as my sword, my brother as a silent guardian, and my parents as a shield. It’s only natural that a story explaining that the (retroactively) titular “Familial Bonds” aren’t the same as blood ties would have my parents as central figures. Because I have a loving family that just happens to be related to me.

Powers and Stats[]

Tier: Varies from 9-C to High 6-C

Name: [Redacted to prevent doxxing]

Origin: Dreamverse: Familial Bonds

Gender: One male one female

Age: 53 and 52

Classification: Human, likely magi

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery (Wielded defeated opponent’s guns on several occasions. Should scale to [Father]’s long range hunting in various weather and light conditions.), Martial Arts (Baffled varies magi and mercenaries/soldiers with their skills and teamwork), Supernatural Willpower, Accelerated Development and Empowerment ([See notes] Grew much stronger over the course of the dream and are more powerful the more danger their children are in), Stealth Mastery (Escaped a military prison alongside WDinATX and a squad of elite soldiers after sustaining torture that left the other captives barely able to stand, while protecting said captives), Resistance to Electricity Manipulation (Could briefly fight at near-full capacity while affected by electricity-based magecraft that ultimately knocked them out).

Likely Resistance to Magic, including Power Nullification, Law Manipulation, Size Manipulation, Sealing, Fate Manipulation, Density Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, Life Manipulation, Body Puppetry, Space-Time Manipulation, Time Stop, Petrification, Holy Manipulation, Purification, Memory Manipulation, Death Manipulation, Sleep Manipulation, Social Influencing, Fear Manipulation, Chaos Manipulation, Probability Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Soul Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation, Information Manipulation, Absorption, Transmutation, Curse Manipulation, Dream Manipulation, Perception Manipulation, Sense Manipulation, Disease Manipulation, Paralysis Inducement, Illusion Creation, Madness Manipulation (Type 2), Deconstruction, Subjective Reality, Telepathy, BFR, Higher-Dimensional Manipulation (All magi and characters with Magic Circuits have resistance to magical effects that aim to control and create effects within others, by rejecting the effect with magical energy. The party in Familial Bonds was speculated to have Magic Circuits, a theory reinforced by WD’s contract with a Servant.)

Attack Potency: Varies from Street Level to at most Large Island Level+ (Consistently defeated dozens of foes with ease, even knocking out “well over a dozen” soldiers while on the brink of unconsciousness. As the story continued [See notes] they fought increasingly powerful magi, eventually scaling far above this despite usually losing 2v1. Fought a defensive battle against Tartaglia while he was still wounded from fighting Saber and could somewhat injure him, electing praise or awe from everyone present.)

Speed: Varies from Peak Human combat speed to Relativistic + with FTL reactions and combat speed (Could regularly blitz ordinary soldiers and weaker magi. Later on fought magi that should scale far above Hansa and eventually could contend with Tartaglia.)

Lifting Strength: Unknown

Striking Strength: Peak Human to Large Island Class+

Durability: Varies from Street Level to Large Island Level+

Stamina: Superhuman (Despite having just undergone torture that left others unable to stand they were acknowledged by over a dozen elite soldiers as having more than doubled their forces by being released, even when accounting for the other captives slowing them down. Could fight at near-full power while barely conscious. Continued to fight and injure Lancer while on the brink of death, earning praise from him and Saber.)

Range: Standard Melee Range, Hundreds of Meters with firearms

Standard Equipment: None

  • Optional Equipment: Various firearms.

Intelligence: Above Average (Their martial arts and teamwork baffled most everyone saw them. Alongside WDinATX they escaped a military prison while protecting the other captives.)

Weaknesses: Initially lacked real combat experience. Much of their strength comes from their teamwork and attachment to their family [see note 1]. Willing to face impossible odds to keep their children safe, which ultimately led to their deaths.

Note 1: Their strength scales with how much danger their children are in and it’s implied that several of their losses were due to them getting away safely. It was theorized that if either me or my brother’s dream self died they’d permanently become much weaker, but it’s unknown if it’d just be because of how our danger stacked.

Note 1.5: The fight against Tartaglia was while my dream self was near-powerless and my brother’s was critically injured, which is the strongest they weee shown.

Note 2: Even in base their strength and teamwork was consistently portrayed as incomprehensible throughout the dream. Both grew as time went on, experience making them skilled fighters and gradually getting stronger for unknown reasons.
