The following blog post is going to be a compilation of calcs from my book, Hero's Oath. I'm going to do AP feats, then Speed feats, then LS feats

Now there are more feats that happen in the story, but most of them are either just supporting feats or I'm not able to calc due to there not being enough information to go off of, making it difficult to calculate. Now let's do this

AP Feats[]

Lightning Rod punches Bladed Hand through a steel wall[]

Pretty simple. In the story, while the students are hiding in the safe room, Lightning Rod punches Bladed Hand through the steel wall of the saferoom. Earlier in the story, it was described that the saferoom had “10 feet of thick steel” for its walls

I’m going to use part of the calc used in “References for Common Feats” for the surface area, which was 9,500cm^2

10 feet = 304.8 cm

9500 * 304.8 = 2,895,600 cm^3

Fragmentation of Steel = 208 j/cc

2,895,600 * 208 = 602,284,800 Joules, or 0.144 Tons of TnT (Small Building Level+)

Lower than I expected

Taylor Wilson destroys a bridge[]

During a part in the story, Taylor in his base form kicks Adam in his base form through a bridge, completely destroying the bridge. How powerful is this?

For measurements, I’ll use this one bridge I found in the city that the fictional city in the story is inspired by, Kansas City

So using the power of google earth, I found that the section of the bridge that was destroyed is 38.24 meters long and 12.86 meters wide. Now for height. Now lucky for me, when I went into street view, there was a train on the bridge, and I can use this train to pixel scale how tall the bridge is

So the train is a BNSF locomotive, which has a height of 15 feet according to their own website. Now, we can’t see the wheels in any of the street view photos, so we’ll have to find the height of the main body of the locomotive, and from there we can find the height of the bridge. Lucky for us, BNSF has a 3d model of their locomotives

Scan 1

Total Train size = 311 pixels

311/15 = 20.733 pixels per foot

Body height = 210 pixels

210/20.733 = 10.129 feet, or 3.087 meters high

Now to compare it to the bridge

Scan 2

Train body height = 57 pixels

57/3.087 = 18.465 pixels per meter

Bridge height = 70 pixels

70/18.465 = 3.791 meters

This means that there is a total of 1,864.286 m^3, or 1,864,286,000 cm^3

I’m going to assume a ratio of 60% reinforced concrete and 40% steel, as the entire underside is made of steel, but the top of it is concrete that is likely reinforced to carry the trains

1,864,286,000 * 0.6 = 1,118,571,600 cm^3 of reinforced concrete

Fragmentation level for reinforced concrete is 10 J/cc

1,118,571,600 * 10 = 11,185,716,000 Joules for the concrete

1,864,286,000 * 0.4 = 745,714,400 cm^3

Fragmentation level for steel is 208 J/cc

745,714,400 * 208 = 155,108,595,200 Joules for the steel

155,108,595,200 + 11,185,716,000 = 166,294,311,200 Joules of energy, or 39.75 tons of TnT (City Block Level)

Hero's Oath can now fight My Hero Academia. Sweet

Black Ice destroys several city blocks with his ice[]

In an attempt to slaughter some high school freshmen, Black Ice goes into his ice armor form and tries to kill them with a powerful ice attack. He fails thanks to Keli’s force fields, but he kills plenty of innocent people in the surrounding city blocks. How powerful would this ice attack be?

All we need to do is find the weight of the ice and how fast it was moving

Now it’s important to note that Black Ice’s ice is a lot stronger than normal ice, so this is going to be a bare minimum for his power, and his tier is going to be “at least”, as he is likely stronger than what I’m about to calc. So, let's get this show on the road

So the ice attack spanned several city blocks. Let's say about 10

20 blocks is 1 mile, so 10 blocks is 0.5 miles, or 800 meters. The attack spanned this entire distance, so this will be used as the height. The ice attack crossed this distance in a single second as stated in the book, so 800 m/s attack speed (Supersonic)

The spike was about 5 stories or so. A story is 4.3 meters, meaning that the spike was 21.5 meters tall. Making our radius 10.75 meters

Throwing this into this cylinder calculator and assuming 20% hollowness as the ice wasn't a perfect cylinder, we get 290,440.241 * 0.8 = 232,352.1928 m^3

Density of ice is 930 kg/m^3

232,352.1928 * 930 = 216,087,539.304 kg

Throwing these numbers into a KE calculator, we get 16,526.77 tons of TNT (Town Level)

I knew that there was going to be a Tier 7 feat somewhere

The 5 characters that scales to this are Black Ice’s ice manipulation while in his ice armor form as well as the ice form’s durability, Inferno’s pyrokinesis when enraged, Inhuman Fist, Bladed Hand’s blade arm, and Keli's force fields as her force fields withstood the attack and kept her and her classmates safe

Also btw, this wouldn’t scale to Black Ice in his base form, as it’s specifically stated that the adrenaline rush gained from activating the ice armor enhances his abilities tenfold, and so his ice manipulation when not in the ice armor wouldn’t scale due to him not having the rush. It would just scale above his base striking power

Liam brings down a skyscraper with a single punch[]

To show off his strength and to prove a point to Adam, Liam destroys a large chunk of a skyscraper with a single punch. Apparently about ¼ of it. How powerful is this?

The building was about 50 stories. According to this quora post, average 50 story skyscrapers are about 214,500 tons ignoring the foundation, which is exactly what we’re going to do here. Because he only destroyed a fourth of it, that means that the weight of the area he destroyed was 53,625 tons

Skyscrapers usually have a 1:5 ratio in reinforced concrete to steel, which means that for every kg of steel, there is about 5 kg of reinforced concrete

53,625 tons = 53,625,000 kg

53,625,000 kg * (1/6) = 8,937,500 kg

Steel weighs 7,850 kg/m^3, making there be 1,138.54 m^3, or 1,138,540,000 cm^3 of steel

It was described that Liam completely obliterated the section of the skyscraper, turning it into nothing but small pebbles, so I’ll assume violent fragmentation

Violent fragmentation of steel is 568.5 J/cc

1,138,540,000 * 568.5 = 647,259,990,000 Joules

53,625,000 kg * (5/6) = 44,687,500 kg

Reinforced Concrete has a density of 2500 kg/m^3

44,687,500 / 2500 = 17,875 m^3 = 17,875,000,000 cm^3

Violent Fragmentation for Reinforced concrete is 61.2 J/cc

17,875,000,000 * 61.2 = 1,093,950,000,000 Joules

1,093,950,000,000 + 647,259,990,000 = 1,741,209,990,000 Joules, or 416.16 tons of TnT (Multi-City Block Level)

I was expecting Large Building Level but this works too

Bonus Calc: First Stage Adam supporting the weight of 10 floors[]

In the book, it said that the top 10 floors were undamaged after the strike. The 10 floors then fell downwards, only to be caught by Adam in his first stage, who supported their weight for a few seconds until the floor under him collapsed

In this moment, he would have been supporting 1/5th of the building’s weight

214,500/5 = 42,900 tons (Class M LS)

Destroying Arena Walls[]

So a feat that happens pretty often in the tournament is people destroying the walls of the arena. The amount of destruction varries from person to person, but I'll use one of the more impressive showings when Carla destroyed the wall up to the front row seats.

So the front row seats are 15 meters high, so we already have their height.

The walls were made to be 2 meters thick, so that's easy too.

The width is the hard one as that's never specified, so I'll use 10 meters for a low-end and 15 meters for a high-end.

Low-end:

15*2*10 = 300 m^3 = 300,000,000 cm^3

The brick is reinforced, but I'll just use regular brick fragmentation for this

300,000,000 * 0.51 = 153,000,000 Joules, or 0.036568 Tons of TnT (Small Building level)

High-end:

15*2*15 = 450 m^3 = 450,000,000 cm^3

450,000,000 * 0.51 = 229,500,000 Joules, or 0.0549 Tons of TnT (Small Building level)

Pyramid Smash's AP[]

So here in this blog, we calculated the weight of the pyramid. Now we just need to find the speed Ben throws it with and we have the AP.

So Ben closed the 35m height pretty quickly. In less than a second. But an exact time is never given and "less than a second" is vague. So I'm just going to assume 50 m/s. It would cover the distance in 0.7 seconds, which falls in our peramiter, and it's just a nice even number.

(0.5 * 292,837,593.75 kg) * (50 m/s^2) = 87.4873 Tons of TnT (City Block level+)

Samantha survived multiple slams from the pyramid, so she would scale to this, thus turning each 8-B to 8-B+ (And outdating a lot of matches)

Henry Turns The Arena To Glass[]

In the final battle of the tournament, Henry delivers the most powerful attack he has ever done onto Stage 3 Adam in order to try and beat him. This attack not only does a good amount of damage to Adam, but also turns the entire arena's sand floor into glass. How strong would his attack have to be?

So if you scroll down a bit to the LS section, you'll find that I already calculated the weight of the sand in the arena, which is 28,822,151.26 kg.

Specific Heat Capacity of sand is 830 j/kg.

This fight took place in North Carolina during the summer, which can have temperatures up to 89°F, or 31.6667°C, or 304.8167 Kelvin. The required heat to turn sand into glass is 1973.15 Kelvin

1973.15 - 304.8167 = 1668.3333 Kelvin

28,822,151.26 * 830 * 1668.3333 = 3.9910512e+13 Joules, or 9,538.8 Tons of TnT (Town level)

Not half bad (Funny enough, despite being his most powerful attack ever, this would only be a supporting feat lol)

Henry's Explosions AP[]

Pretty simple. Henry creates a final massive explosion that covers the entire arena that finally manages to knock out Adam, making Henry the winner of the tournament. How powerful would this explosion be?

Air Burst Method[]

The arena is 150 meters in diameter, so 75 meter radius

((0.075/0.28)^3)/1000 = 0.00001921806 Megatons, or 19.21806 Tons of TnT (City Block level)

Divide by 2 because it was non-nuclear

19.21806/2 = 9.60903 Tons of TnT (Large Building level+)

Ground Burst Method (Low-End)[]

Standard explosions are 20 psi, or 1.37895 bars

75^3*((27136*1.37895 + 8649)^(1/2)/13568 - 93/13568)^2 = 33.91 Tons of TnT (City Block level)

Ground Burst Method (High-End)[]

According to this calc, real life explosions can reach up to 50 psi at the maximum, or 3.44738 bars

75^3*((27136*3.44738 + 8649)^(1/2)/13568 - 93/13568)^2 = 117.7577 Tons of TnT (Multi-City Block level)

Draco Porven's First Appearance[]

Draco Porven was the first new villian introduced in the Sophmore Year edition of Hero's Oath, and in his first appearance, he attempts to kill Charlotte by creating an explosion with his sollertia. How powerful is this explosion?

First, we need a radius. Charlotte had to teleport about 5 blocks away to be a safe distance away from his explosive blast, so let's assume that's how far his explosion can reach. Average city blocks are ~80 meters long, so 80*5 = 400 meters

400/2 = 200

Now Draco's explosions are described as being extremley dangerous and more powerful than normal explosions, so we'll assume a PSI of 25 instead of the standard 20

200^3*((27136*1.72369 + 8649)^(1/2)/13568 - 93/13568)^2 = 881.467772013 Tons of TnT (Multi-City Block level+)

Charlotte & other comparable characters scale

Summer Graves vs A Litteral Graveyard[]

Summer tries to shoot a villian with a beam of hers, only to miss and accidentally vaporize a graveyard. Oops.

The crater was a dome that covered the entire graveyard and reached the bodies under the ground, which are 6 feet deep. So we know how deep the hole is at a minimum.

Using Mount St. Mary Cemetery as a reference, the hole would be ~543.47 m in diameter

Throwing this into a dome calculator we find that 212,121.069 m^3, or 212,121,069,000 cm^3 was destroyed

Pulverization of dirt is 1 J/cc

212,121,069,000 * 1 = 212,121,069,000 Joules, or 50.6981522466539 Tons of TnT (City Block level), and a lot of families that deserve an apology

Jack's Electricity vs The Beach[]

While running on the beach, Jack crystalizes the sand behind him due to his running. How much energy is this?

Right before running this, Jack said "500 meter race GO" to Charlotte, so we can assume he ran 500 meters. I'll also assume the crystalizing was 1 meter wide and went about 0.5 meters deep, meaning that 250 m^3 of sand was crystalized.

Sand requires 2041.37 J/cc to crystalize.

2.5e+8 * 2041.37 = 510,342,500,000 Joules, or 121.975 Tons of TnT (Multi-City Block level)

He never uses his electricity in combat, so this just scales to him

Oxen's KE[]

Oxen has the appearance of an ox, but can he hit as hard?

Oxen's canon weight is 2,267.962 kg (5,000 lbs in freedom units), and it's stated he can run twice as fast as a truck going top speed. The top speed for a Ford F-150 (most common truck in the US) is 133 mph, or 59.4563 m/s. Double that is 118.9126 m/s.

(0.5*2,267.962) * (118.9126^2) = 16,034,725 Joules (Wall level+)

Point Blank Blast vs Pyramid Smash[]

So Ben attempts to preform the Pyramid Smash move on Point Blank. Point Blank instead decides to use his blast ability to demolish the pyramid. We already have the volume of the pyramid calculated at 1.21875e+11 cm^3 earlier. Let's use the violent fragmentation of sandstone to get the number, as there was not much left of the pyramid.

Low-End:

1.21875e+11 * 55.16 = 6.722625e+12 Joules, or 1.606 Kilotons of TnT (Small Town level)

High-End:

1.21875e+11 * 95 = 1.1578125e+13 Joules, or 2.767 Kilotons of TnT (Small Town level)

Screamer's Scream[]

So we get introduced to this new character called Screamer, whose power is that he screams, really loudly. How loud? 257 dB is his record, and apparently that can be turned into KE. Using this calculator, we find that a 257 dB sound creates 50,118,723,362,727.16 watts per square meter. 1 watt = 1 joule, so this means 50,118,723,362,727.16 Joules, or 11.978 Kilotons of TnT. But, how much of this did Point Blank tank?

Point Blank is 5' 9" & 145 lbs, giving him a body surface area of 1.8018 m^2, or a 0.9009m^2 cross section.

11.978 * 0.9009 = 10.791 Kilotons of TnT (Town level)

Point Blank survived this scream no problem, and Point Blank is scalable to a Stage 2 Adam, who is equal in strength to his Stage 1 enhanced punches, which enhance his punches by 3x. So in short, Stage 1 Adam & those who scale would only be 1/3rd of this output.

10.791/3 = 3.597 kilotons (Small Town level+)

Master of Metal Does A Wolfram[]

As if Hero's Oath wasn't already a MHA rip-off, one of the villians creates a giant metal cube and throws it at our protagonists. But instead of Inhuman Fist & Adam Pixton teaming up to do a double punch and destroy the cube while triumphant music plays, the cube just slams into Stage 3 Adam at full speed and does a bunch of damage to him. Not quite as exciting. How powerful is this?

Firstly, the cube's dementions. The cube is described as "[Adam] could see a massive skyscraper sized cube being made in the distance, collecting all the steel and metal that can possibly be obtained." Considering how it was described massive and is supposed to be a giant structure, let's assume it's at least the height of a "supertall" skyscraper, which starts at 300 meters tall. Because it's a perfect cube, all sides would be the same size, meaning that there's 27,000,000 m^3 of steel in the structure. Steel weighs 7,850 kg/m^3, so the cube would weigh 211,950,000,000 kg (Class G). Adam could somewhat lift this cube off of the ground, though failed once Master of Metal put additional force behind it, so Stage 3 Adam & those who scale would have Class G LS.

Now for the KE, we need to find out how fast it was moving. Due to there being almost no steel left in Mefton due to the amount of destruction, this cube was made up of all the metal he could find in the city north of them, which was stated to be about 30 miles away. Master of Metal brought the cube over while Liam & Adam were talking. I personally spoke the conversation myself and timed it, and it took me about 43 seconds to say it all, so it took the cube 43 seconds to cross the 30 miles. That is 1,122.8 m/s.

(0.5*211,950,000,000) * (1,122.8^2) = 133,600,546,044,000,000 Joules, or 31,931,297 Tons of TnT (City level)

Stage 3 Adam tanked getting slammed by this, so he scales. Not as impressive as the Mountain level I predicted but still incredibly good! Congrats on the upgrade Hero's Oath! Well, now we can call it good and be done with the... wait, what's that?

Henry melts the steel cube[]

Henry, coming in clutch and saving Adam, melts the giant steel cube with his fire blasts. That's gotta have a really high output.

Because Henry melted the cube extremley quickly, I'll assume the high-end for melting steel, which is 7,778.62 J/cc

2.7e+13 * 7,778.62 = 2.1002274e+17 Joules, or 50,196,639.6 Tons of TnT (City level)

Wow, that's almost City level+! These guys came a long way from being messly 7-Cs. They went from rivaling the Little Boy nuke to being almost as strong as the Tsar Bomb, so good on them.

Speed Feats[]

Jack evacuates a city[]

So pretty simple calc. Jack Still, during the giant final battle, evacuated almost everyone out of the city. About 700,000 according to him. He ran about 20 miles out of the city, then 20 miles back in order to get people a safe distance out of the city during the final battle, and he did this feat in about 15 minutes

Assuming he carried 2 people each time, he ran this 40 mile strip 350,000 times

40 * 350,000 = 14,000,000 miles ran

Putting these numbers into a speed calculator, we get 25,034,240 m/s, or 8.4% the speed of light (Sub-Relativistic+)

Now obviously he ran different distances for different people, for some people he probably only needed to run 10 miles out and 10 miles back, but this is made up for with all the people he would have to run 30 miles out and 30 miles back, so the number would probably be somewhere in this ballpark.

This scales to only him, as nobody else comes close to this level of speed, and he’s constantly shown being faster than anyone else in the verse, being nearly unhittable.

Liam kicks Charlotte really fast[]

So during the Liam vs Charlotte fight, Liam was able to kick Charlotte right after she teleported. The thing is, in the story, it's described that Liam's leg was already lifted when she arrived at her wanted teleportation spot, meaning that while Charlotte was in the middle of teleporting, Liam lifted his leg up.

Now, Charlotte's teleportation works by her splitting her atoms apart and putting them back together at a diffrent area. Her atoms are confirmed to travel at light speed while teleporting, so her teleportation has a finite speed and takes time to cover a distance. While her molecules were moving to cover that distance, Liam could lift up his leg. So all we have to figure out is how long it took Charlotte to teleport the distance and how high Liam had to bend his knee.

So Charlotte was roughly a meter or so away from Liam. She teleported right behind him within distance for him to kick her. So 1 meter + Liam's leg. Liam is 5' 10" or 1.778 meters. The leg is 45% of a persons height give or take, so Liam's leg is about 80 cm, meaning that Charlotte teleported 1.8 meters. According to Omni Calculator, it takes light 6 nanoseconds to travel that distance.

The knee is about 50% the height of the leg, so Liam would've lifted his leg 40 cm high in that time.

40 centimeters/6 nanoseconds = 66,620,587 m/s, which is 22.22% the speed of light (Relativistic).

This verse just got bumped from Massivley Hypersonic+ to goddamn Relativistic. That's impressive. Pretty much everyone in the verse scales for reaction & combat speed, with Jack massivley upscaling this as he can speedblitz people with this perception. No wonder people without the sollertia gene are scared of these guys

LS Feats[]

Benjamin Taylor lifts some sand[]

During the fight with Lightning Rod, Benjamin lifts up the sand from the school's training arena to attack him. Good LS feat for Benjamin to see how much sand he can lift with his ability

So sand weighs 1,631 kg/m^3

The arena has a radius of 75 meters and depth of 1 meter of sand

This means that there is 17,671.46 m^3 of sand in the arena after throwing the radius into a circle area calculator and multiplying it by 1

17,671.46 * 1,631 = 28,822,151.26 kg (28,822.15 Tons) of sand lifted (Class M)

Keli supports a tower crane[]

So after Lightning Rod hit a tower crane with a lightning bolt, the crane started to fall. And after a few failed attempts to stop the fall with her forcefields, she took matters into her own hands by jumping up to where the crane was splitting, positioning herself upside down so that she could squat the crane, put a forcefield under her feet, and attempted to squat the crane. And although she barely did it, she did start moving the crane until Isaiah grabbed it from her with his telekinesis. Pretty solid LS feat for the verse

So I couldn’t find the weight for a tower crane like, anywhere. But, I found the weight for the individual parts, so all I have to do is add the weights together, subtract the parts she wasn’t lifting, and boom.

So the tower started splitting a little high. I’d say roughly right when the S60/S35 section ends. There appears to be about 9 TS212 parts, so I’ll multiply that part’s weight by 9

I’ll also assume the 55m Jib assembly

4,360+10,800+1,730+2,800+(4,220*9)+12,020+3,400+3,090+800+540+11,340+1,450+300+6,600 = 97,210 kg, or 97.21 Tons (Class 100)

Just a tad bit short of Class K

Characters who scale above this, like Smokescreen and Isaiah's Telekinesis, can fall under baseline Class K

Ben's Pyramid's Weight[]

So Benjamin shows off some new moves with his "Pyramid Smash". Pretty much, he creates a giant pyramid made of sandstone and throws it at his enemies. This will be calculating the weight of the pyramid for both Ben's sands LS and for the AP of the attack

So the base of the pyramid was about the same lengh as the arena's radius. The arena has a 150m diameter, meaning that the radius (& the pyramids sides) are 75m

The base of the pyramid was at the same height as the highest seats in the arena, which are 35 meters high. The entire invisible dome surrounding the arena is 100m tall. So assuming the peak reached the top of the dome and the base was at the 35 m high seats, this would mean that the pyramid is 65m tall

Throwing this into a pyramid volume calculator, we find that the pyramid had 121,875 m^3 of sandstone.

Sandstone weighs 150 lbs per cubic foot, or 2,402.77 kg/m^3.

2,402.77 kg/m^3 * 121,875 m^3 = 292,837,593.75 kg, or 292,837.59375 Tons (Class M).

Over 10x more impressive than lifting the sand in the arena. Damn.

Stage 2 Adam was not only capable of supporting the weight of the pyramid, but also faught back against Ben pushing it onto him, adding even more force (Granted, Adam did this with tremendous difficulty). So Stage 2 Adam scales to this

Adam Stops A Train[]

So during the first fight scene of Sophmore Year, a villian destroys a bridge that a bullet train was about to go on (because the villians in this series really don't like bridges that hold up trains). Adam, not wanting the train to fall and kill all of the passengers, attempts to slow down the train before the hole, which he successfully does.

The N700 Series Shinkansen bullet trains weigh 715 tons and a top speed of 186 mph, or 83.1494 m/s. It took Adam about 30 seconds to bring the train to a complete stop, meaning a deceleration of 2.77164666667 m/s. We'll use the F=M*A equation, and use the deceleration as the A, with the trains mass being the M.

715,000 kg * 2.77164666667 m/s = 1,981,727.36667 Newtons, or 202.08 Tons of Force (Class K)
