Calc6 (Ranks)[]
The Rank system is used universally across all factions throughout Crestseal to assign characters a ranking based on what they have displayed in terms of power, either by themselves or in comparison to others. This is a collection of calculations for characters at all different Ranks that are universally used to assign to each character in Crestseal to determine their power and durability. Characters with any particular Rank assigned may also have one to three plus (+, ++, or +++) in their Ranks, for Example Rank 10+, Rank 10++, or Rank 10+++ (Spelled Rank Nine Plus, Rank Nine Two Plus, Rank Nine Three Plus) to indicate that they are superior to what is usually expected of that rank, and likely to have their displays other individuals of the same Rank cannot be assumed to be comparable to them. It is important to note that the Rank system is primarily to assign a value to a character's power, and other aspects are not included, meaning a Rank 10 character can defeat a Rank 1 character by other means, but will always be weaker in terms of raw power and durability.
This is for scaling. Some characters don't have Ranks or their Ranks are unknown, they may get a certain scaling based on keeping up with or defeating another character of a certain Rank without being on that Rank themselves.

- This rank, Rank 1, is the final and highest rank of Spherers under the Ranking system. Due to it being the final rank, a lot of characters eventually reach this rank, thus the power of characters at this rank can vary greatly, far more than for other ranks. As such, unofficial terms like "Fresh", "Average" and "Special" are more consistently used for characters of this rank. These terms are official in all but name, as they are widely used but are not separate ranks but rather part of Rank 1.
- Nonetheless, a Fresh Rank 1, meaning a character who was assigned Rank 1 recently would be at least strong enough to one-shot any Rank 2, including highest-ranking ones, as this character far surpassed them and got promoted to Rank 1. This establishes the bare minimum of power of a Rank 1, similar to other ranks. They also generally scale to their value below
- Average Rank 1, one who is more in line with typical standards of this rank, scales to their own value below
- Special Rank 1, the ones who are the highest-ranking members of this rank, generally scale to Broatative Probe Yekks and Cavils who can keep up with the said Yekks. These can reliably keep up with, defeat, or overpower such targets
- (Note: Terms like Fresh, Average, and Special are not official and may not always be mentioned when talking about Rank 1. They are used in the story due to this rank being so stacked as the end point of the Ranking system in Crestseal)
