The AUG 9mm is the submachine gun variant of the Steyr AUG that fires the 9x19mm Parabellum round, though it is treated as an assault rifle within the XNDUIW game files itself. It was developed in by Steyr Mannlicher in 1988, and is primarily used for combat.
Conversion kits for the AUG A3 do exist which can make it fire the 9x19mm Parabellum round, which can be hard to obtain.
