Agency (or Agentcross), split into the stories Starcross, Heavencross, and Fatecross, is a science fantasy story created by Promestein. It is undergoing constant revisions and is subject to change.
At the turn of the 20th century, a series of conflicts between powerful agents, among them Alice Kang and her wife EQUINOX, renders the Earth more or less uninhabitable. Several hundred years later, a young girl, Minna Yamane, dreams of becoming a great witch in emulation of EQUINOX, her idol, and works towards this dream alongside an unusual acquisition of hers she discovered by chance...
Stranded outside of Heaven after a mission went wrong, Harahel, for the first time in their life, experiences the world beyond Heaven's reaches and comes to question their place in the universe with the help of a renegade law.
In the world that remains, a survivor tries to change.
Supporters and Opponents
CrossverseCrisis (very big fan of this verse, the way powers are used and how they function in comparison to most i've seen so far, and good backstory for each and everyone of them. Looks and personalities of the characters are lovely, especially those like EQUINOX and Mariposa for example, and interesting as well. Overall, one of the best and most original verse's i've seen here thus far)
Talonmask (I find the verse as a whole quite interesting, the concepts of a lot of their powers are creative and fit nicely within the setting, lots of depth are put into the personalities of the characters and none appear over the top. Everything just seems to flow, in my opinion.)
Fllflourine (big fan of Starcross, regularly reads pages of it to inspire him, and the details inspire him moreso, love the relatable characters, original story, and it is quality. Plus, EQUINOX is best girl)
ExoSaiyan9000 (I find this Verse immensely interesting and well made. The level of depth and detail regarding each of the characters is great and the sheer effort put in is incredible. It seems real and its quality is above many real and well-known Verses.)
Xanix (Story is well written and so are the characters)
Eldritch abomination (I love the power system of this verse, The detailed pages make me want to write fanfiction about it XD.)
Xmark12 (This gives tons of inspiration for my friend's, and my own verses >u<)
Azathoth the Abyssal Idiot (Quality verse with lots of thought put into each character. You're the man now, dog.)
FateAlbane (This one is, without a doubt, my favorite verse here in FC/OC. From the characters - their personalities, their histories and how these things affect their actions as a whole - to the setting of the series and the powers, nothing seems out of place to me. I can tell a lot of thought has been put into this verse and it reflects in the "final" result: A series with depth and the most important, characters that have a history to tell. A very good one at that. Btw, SOLSTICE ftw.)
AkuAkuAkuma (An amazing verse with a set of incredibly interesting characters that have some quality writing to back them up. Overall a fantastic creation of yours that I enjoy a lot.)
ExerciseDancefloors (I seriously wonder how much patience it takes to create a verse of this scope and scale, especially considering the amount of time it takes to brainstorm everything.)
Uninown (Ma'am, you have just done a masterpiece. If this page was a company, this would be the big boss. Good job)
DMUA (SOLSTICE being evil allowed me to get Fate to pitch Jack of All Trades so 10/10)
Karrrrrrrma (I have been following this verse for a very long time, and I’ve loved it ever since conception. Logos is best waifu, dont @ me)
Somf (Let's be honest here, Starcross and the page made for EQUINOX were the first things I saw on this wiki back around late 2019. Yet I didn't pay that much attention to it, I slowly started noticing overtime how complex and fleshed out the entire thing was. And that's what makes me support this verse: its level of detailing. Everything about Starcross is extremely fleshed out on a level that I won't reach on a long time, from its lore and general term explanations to its character, their personalities, powers and etc. With this I also talk about Heavencross and Fatecross by the way, both of which gave me a good amount of inspiration on the creation of new techniques. The stories are overall great, and a well-wasted time for me to read them, definitely. 10/10. Also, EQUINOX > SOLSTICE.)
Phoenks (I've always been a big fan of stories that take place in a future with highly-advanced AIs, so the Starcross series was something I instantly took an interest in on this fandom. And I am not disappointed in the slightest. After rereading a few of the pages and stories, I've come to hold a pretty big liking for this fun little verse on here (Which I prefer to keep a secret, though I've read multiple pages many times over). It has many of the aspects and themes I love in stories: Sci-fi bullshit, over-the-top action, unique but easy to follow plot-points, crazy good power system, interesting and fun characters, etc. I would definitely give this a thorough read if it ever becomes any form of novel or official story. Not to mention the pages are phenomenal, and have been a great inspiration for many of the things I've done so far on here. Amazing backstories and interesting characterization inscribed in beautiful formatting. I have no idea why I put my self on neutral last time, this is without a doubt one of my favorites on here. And I will try to read even more of its content in the near future. Notably the Heavencross cast, which I've yet to dive into. So yeah, what I'm trying to say is that this definitely gets a 10/10 from me so far. I hope Promestein keeps up the good work)
Power of the Verse
The world of Agency bears a variety of powerful characters, with most sitting in Tier 5, around Planet to Dwarf Star level, at the least, and reaching up to Tier 3 and Galaxy level, even High Universe level with the setting's strongest characters - a single, highly powerful attack is Tier 2, Universe level+, though one could argue for the High Universe level characters also being Universe level+. Speeds range from Massively FTL, with characters who can explicitly surpass lightspeed and outspeed radiation attacks, to Massively FTL+, with the fastest characters having enough speed to quickly travel universal distances while fighting.
However, Agency's most powerful aspect is its hax. Nearly all characters can affect the soul in combat, harming it just as they do the body with every attack, and many can manipulate abstract concepts and ideas in some way - while these concepts are personal and mental constructions, many characters can shape them into abstract concepts and impose them onto reality. Even weak characters could, feasibly, with enough effort and willpower, manipulate causality and erase objects or beings from existence. The strongest of characters can warp fate, manipulate space and time, induce death, and alter the physical laws of the universe.
Certain characters from earlier in the stories, including several historical figures on Earth, are a whole lot less impressive, sitting in Tiers 9 and 8 with Supersonic speeds. While some characters on this level have impressive hax, most of them are fairly unremarkable, at least by Agency standards.
More information on the functions and mechanics of Agency's magic system can be found on this blog post.
