Summary[]
Nazo Unleashed is a fan-made Web Animation trilogy of Sonic the Hedgehog by Flash animator Aaron "Chakra-X" Cowdery. It is based around an unused screenshot from Sonic X that had a hedgehog with spiked-up quills and a silver coat. The mysterious character was Fan Nicknamed "Nazo", a Japanese word for "mystery", after the name of the image file on the website.
The premise of the trilogy is that Nazo is a sentient being created from the negative energy of the Chaos Emeralds. Nazo is a hedgehog because the Chaos Emeralds have gotten accustomed to the forms of Sonic and Shadow. Of course, something made of negative energy like that is going to turn out evil. Nazo then goes around the world collecting the Chaos Emeralds in his plan to become more powerful, leaving much destruction in his wake. Sonic and his friends hear of this and go to take him down, but they are easily defeated. Shadow then comes in try to defeat Nazo, but is defeated too. Only when the two hedgehogs use their Super Modes together can they take him down, but it turns out Nazo has other plans...
Power of the Verse[]
Characters in the verse, in their base form, physically range from Building level to Small Town level, from early base Nazo being able to pummel Knuckles through rock and himself being able to quickly recover, to Sonic being able to deflect attacks from Nazo capable of destroying Downtown Metropolis and Shadow even being able to trade blows with him, with Nazo eventually scaling to Planet level for being stronger than Super Sonic & Shadow. The power of the Chaos Emeralds vary from Small Town level to Planet level, with a single Chaos Emerald being able to create an explosion big enough to destroy Downtown Metropolis, to all seven emeralds empowering the super form, with users such as Super Sonic being able to fragment a chunk of the Earth. The power of the Super Emeralds vary from Planet level to Solar System level, with Hyper Perfect Nazo eventually being able to have more energy than any star or universe if he was to continue living.
