P-21

Summary[]

Fallout Equestria created by Kkat

P-21 and Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons created by Somber

When the doors to Stable 99 had opened, the apocalypse had come to sweep life off the surface world, forcing ponies into these Fallout Shelters, to survive. To keep order and maintain the functionality of the Stables, Stable Tec insisted that a set protocol be followed to ensure the survival of the Stable, and that it be lead by one family of Overmares, passed on to their decedent.

Approximately 100 years into 99s' operations the male side of the stable had had enough of being looked down upon and staged a failed rebellion that nearly put an end to all life in the shelter. The event changed the stable forever, forcing everyone into inherited positions as females took over all the vital functions of the stable; leaving the males around exclusively for breeding and their own amusement. Males had no names, only P and U classifications and an ever ascending number to show their age, once they reached 21, "their time was up".

This "P-21" is a unique case. He was smarter than anyone assumed; he learned how to lock pick and hack computers on his own time, putting every fiber of his being into escaping. Desperate to escape the hell hole he was in before his time was up. He did everything he could to escape subjecting himself to even becoming the young Overmares favorite Stalion, all to access as many resources he possibly could.

Through his research he had learned that the recently appointed Overmare had made contact with a "reputable source" above ground. The source demanded a file hidden deep within the stable in exchange for valuable resources. Knowing the young Overmare was being had he stole the decrypted file attempting to find the head of security before he was noticed but he was too late. Knowing that he was doomed to death he came clean to the patrols who beat him severely until he was saved by a lone young mare, one who had horrifying experiences with, and one he'd hope to never see again...Blackjack, Blackjack was the one sent to escort him to death.

She questioned why he had ran from and seemed unwilling to die, transferring his damaged Pipbucks data per protocol before it was destroyed in the brawl. Looking through it she found the Overmares plan and shared in his concern, opting to spare P-21 and warn her mom, the head of security.

Before they knew it however, the stable was completely overrun with deadly dangerous, and disease ridden outsiders, seeking a violent takeover. P-21 didn't let this chance slip by him, knowing he'd be dead either way, he chose to stay by Blackjack's side by playing decoy, making his impromptu way outside and to the real horrors that awaited above.

Appearance[]

P-21's appearance stays relatively uncomplicated by comparison to Blackjack. He wears a Brown trimmed Cowboy hat and usually carries satchels for his equipment.

Personality[]

Given his extremely rough upbringing, P-21 holds trust above everything else with regards to those around him. He is has trouble often communicating his true feelings to others and early in the story did everything in his power to avoid being the center of attention. He will defend those that he cares about to the bitter end, though is prone to doubting himself should he hesitate to act on this, especially if someone as damagingly selfless as Blackjack is around. Another effect of his trust above all else personality is his inability to drop or let go of grudges. He initially hated all females around him to the point it affected him subconsciously initially. He was so extremely wounded and blinded by said hatred that he unintentionally shot Blackjack when she first gave him a firearm. Entirely not his fault, P-21 eventually learned to look past his upbringing, seeing it less as the upbringing that molded him, but rather the one that inspired him to, do better, and be better.

Name: P-21

Origin: Fallout Equestria Project Horizons by Somber, a Fallout Equestria fanfiction

Classification: Earth Pony 21 (In Stable 99, males are distinguished by their breed and how many children they've currently fathered. Once they reach 21 they are to be systematically killed off.), Spirit-touched

Age: Between his Late Twenties and Late Thirties (While confirmed to be older than Blackjack, his given age range has been wildly inconsistent throughout the story from being in the same schooling class as Blackjack, the mechanics of Stable 99's breeding system, to the sheer existence of Scotch Tape and how old she is.)

Birthplace: Stable 99

Likes: Peace, Males, Priest, Chapel, The Crusaders, Boo, Teaching others. Later in the story he comes to terms regarding his personal feelings for Blackjack and Scotch Tape (His Daughter.), moving past the horrors of Stable 99

Dislikes: Females (Due to males only being seen as "breeding equipment" in Stable 99), Stable 99, Idealism, Religion, Pre War Politics and Society, Firearms, Rampage (Views her reasonably as irresponsible and as a major liability for her multiple personalities.), Psychoshy (Similar to Rampage), Sanguine (For killing Priest and attacking Chapel), Dawn (For also attacking Chapel), Legate Vitosius (For instigating nearly every conflict that Blackjack and himself encounter in the story.), Cognitum (Same as Legate, and also stealing Blackjacks body, which was pregnant with their kids at the time.)

Via Spark Grenades: Electricity Manipulation, and Magic Nullification (Spark Grenades are EMPS designed to shut down or disrupt magic based electronics.) via Flashbangs: Light Manipulation

Attack Potency: Building Level (Scaling to Littlepip, consistently portrayed as one of Blackjacks weakest party members physically. Stomped by Book 1 Blackjack early on; However he has grew stronger since then due to detoxing and kicking his various drug addictions.). At least Building Level with explosives (Should be no weaker than they are in his later form where in they harmed Cognitum.)

Speed: Subsonic movement and reaction speeds (Should be comparable to this canon FiM feat.)

Beyond the world of hacking and lock picking, P-21 is the teams best strategist by far. Often times he will use his relatively weak demeanor to hide a elaborately constructed trap to fool would be foes.

Weaknesses: Refuses to use firearms, addicted to drugs and painkillers due to Stable 99's breeding and slavery policy for males and his resolve is weakened as a result. 1. Project Horizons Chapter 11 Enervation Properties: There’s contamination deep within the very soil of Hoofington. For miles around the city, the Enervation saps the life and magic of any living thing. In some places there are Enervation fields strong enough to kill a pony. You won’t see a thing. You’ll simply start to die.
  2. Project Horizons Chapter 26 Wing Melt: I stared as the skin holding the wing slowly stretched like taffy and then broke, the wing splashing softly into the water beside her. I stared at her standing in a daze. She didn’t know. “Glory…” I rasped, blood dripping down my chin. “Your wing…” She looked at it lying there beside her. She slowly picked it up and held it in her hooves. “It fell off…” she said with a whimper, like a foal who’s favorite toy had broken. She started to shake, at first with tears… but then she threw back her head, laughing hysterically. “It fell off! It FELL the fuck off!” And with bloody tears she laughed and sobbed at the same time. “We’re going to die! We’re going to die! Please let us fucking die!”
  3. 3.0 3.1 Project Horizons Chapter 71 Pipbuck Quote: “What is it?” I asked as I magically shrugged into it. All my friends, save Glory, were already wearing ones like them. We’d also made sure that all of us had PipBucks and broadcasters like the rest of the battle leaders.
  4. Project Horizons Chapter 74 Impresed Blackjack Quote: Calm. Complete calm. He even wore a small smile. I didn’t know if it was the telepathy or just that we’d gone through so much together, but I knew… just knew… it would be alright.
  5. Project Horizons Chapter 71 Flash Freeze Quote: Then P-21 grabbed one of the hoses near where it joined a pipe on the tower and pulled with all his might. The old tube, coated in frost, gave a ripping noise and suddenly popped free in a cloud of white. He turned and pointed it right at the red-striped zebra, bathing him in a stream of evaporating fluid. Some safety had to exist, because after several seconds, the flow cut off. The Legate stood there, bar overhead, a rime of frost covering him from head to hoof. I had to drink a healing potion just to see clearly, wiping the blood out of my eyes and spitting out a shard of glass stuck in my tongue, then approached the Legate. Some of the freezing fluid was still dribbling down his body, and I could hear little creaks and pops. “Invincible this,” I said, and swung the bar with all my strength. The Legate’s limbs shattered, falling into the puddle of freezing fluids, breaking like a delicate figurine upon the ground. I rushed up to P-21, trying to pull the hose away as it drooled cold-steaming liquid... It took a great deal of his fur with it… and other things that I’d need healing potions for. He shivered horribly against me. “He talks too much,” P-21 muttered, ice dangling off his mane..
  6. Project Horizons Chapter 74 Flesh Bombs and Hidden Explosives Quote: She levitated him to her and for a moment hesitated, lips pursed, turning him this way and that. His utter composure left her nonplussed. As with Scotch and myself, Persuasion was yanked away, bent like a nail, and tossed aside. “You likely have some bomb hidden in your tail, don’t you?” she sneered, and the shadow of a grimace flickered across his gorgeous features as her magic ripped out great big chunks of his mane and tail, casting them into the void below. Half a dozen grenades he’d secreted tumbled after them.
  7. Project Horizons Chapter 74 Bisect Quote: I spotted him lying out on his stomach, hooves still working the terminal, leaning against a half-dozen slim metal shafts. “I think... I think I have a problem,” he rasped, not taking his eyes off the screen. I slowed as I looked beyond him lying there to the shafts and... no... no no no... They weren’t against him. They were impaled through him. From the middle of his back to his haunches, the rods pinned him to the floor like a butterfly to a mat. He didn’t take his eyes from me. “It’s bad, isn’t it?” he asked. “Yeah, it’s bad,” I whispered in horror. “Figured it must be. I can’t feel anything below my shoulders.” He glanced over at me and gave a tiny half smile. “You look good, Blackjack.”
