Nuclear Manipulation is the ability to control nuclear interactions, and a form of Matter Manipulation. The user can induce nuclear reactions on varying scales for the desired result, whether it be for fine scale creation of elements or producing large amounts of energy. The results are often destructive if the user isn't careful with their power. Some users can directly control the energy and radiation that the reactions produce.
There are multiple ways this ability could be applied:
- Decay: Destabilizing matter in order to make it emit radiation. Applying it to larger objects not only causes it to produce dangerous amounts of radiation, but will inevitably cause it to disintegrate into something else.
- Fission: The user induces a nuclear reaction that causes matter to split into simpler particles.
- Fusion: Forcing atoms to collide in order to produce heavier particles. Fusion is known to generate much more energy than fission.
