Summary[]
Nixon Holmes is one of the secondary protagonists in Collapse, serving as a member of the Rebels. At birth, his intelligence was unrivaled and he was a prodigy at what he could accomplish. By the mere age of 10, he began to unravel the veil of reality and show what was really behind it all. However, thanks to his vast intelligence he was ostracized from the world, never having true friends as his potential was exploited. Tricked by Nyarlathotep to help in the improvement of the Borea, he would find out about its betrayal and join up with Adam and his group in order to get his revenge. Although along the journey, his quest for revenge eventually turned into one of righteous justice.
Appearance[]
Nixon takes on the appearance of a rather slender man, and a bit aged as well, surprisingly. His hair is actually black, though he commonly dyes it blue, his eyes being a shade of green but he wears contacts to make them a shade of light blue. As you can tell, he is someone who does like to accesorize and his skin is a bit pale as he never went outside that much. He commonly wears a white lab coat over a gray button-up shirt and a dark blue tie hanging down from it. Adding onto it, his hands are usually covered in white gloves and the set is commonly completed with black dress pants leading down to black dress shoes.
Although that is what he commonly wears, during a time of relaxation he takes it all off and decides to wear a tropical shirt over shorts. This is usually accompanied by either flip-flops or crocs. There are even some headphones worn around his neck, and that he occasionally uses to listen to some music.
Personality[]
As the most intelligent out of everyone, Nixon does have some difficulty interacting with others. Having never been taught in social interactions, he can commonly freeze up and not know what to say next. Not only that, but early on in the journey, he would always be the one to look at things from a very robotic perspective. There would be times where he disregarded human life for the sake of his own revenge, and was solely driven by such.
As he was humiliated by Nyarlathotep, the hatred for the Outer God would run deep and he would wish to make him feel the same humiliation. However, as the journey continued, he would learn to mellow out and find his family in the Rebels. He would become their voice of reason, and find them to be like his brothers and sisters. Thanks to this, he learned to fixate on better things.

- Saraswati: Nixon's Omikami, named after the Hindu Goddess of Knowledge. This Omikami commonly takes on the form of a mist constantly surrounding Nixon, acting almost as his personal bodyguard. With it, he is capable of forming attacks out of the mist, which is the primal fear of humanity, darkness. But its most unique ability is being capable of seeing into small glimpses of the future. While it is used to formulate strategies, if Nixon were to ever be in danger, Saraswati would act for him. Instinctively protecting its wielder, it is even capable of using his Alternative Observation to the same precise degree.
Intelligence: Supergenius (Is the smartest out of all of The Rebels, and is considered to be the most intelligent mind in the history of the universe, surpassing even that of Nyarlathotep. His technology has been considered to be 'magic' and has uncovered every secret of the universe in the fight against the Court. Could casually converse with the Outer Gods and conceptual entities embodying Knowledge itself. Is responsible for the current understanding of reality and it was theorized that he constructed the Shining Trapezohedron, as he was familiar with its structure)
Standard Tactics: As Nixon mostly stays on the sidelines and helps out at support, he is not one to be in combat. Due to the nature of Presences, it acts for him. If he ever were to be placed into combat, he would rely on Saraswati to do what is needed. However, if the fight drags on long enough, then he would begin to analyze his opponent and their attack patterns before going in for the kill. Again, he mostly lets his Presence and Omikami to do most of the work for him. But if the opponent manages to last for quite some time, he would just use his Alternative Observation to do the job. Commonly, he uses his Alternative Observation to teleport the opponent's atoms across the multiverse.
Weaknesses: Does not fight in hand to hand combat, often relies on his Presence and Omikami.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
Eyes of the Observer: Due to how immensely knowledgeable he is in not only the secrets of the universe, but also Alternative Observation, Nixon wields immense skill over the ability. He was the one to teach Adam on how to use it in the first place after learning of his position of the Silver Key, after all. In any case, Nixon's Alternative Observation is different from all of the rest, as he is immensely precise with it. In fact, it grants him the ability of teleportation across the entirety of the universe, displacing targets to even himself to make him incorporeal and phase through attacks. Eventually, it would become so great that in Edge of Annihilation, this ability would evolve to allow him to alter reality through his perception alone.
Kineticism: Nixon's Presence, which allows him to alter the kinetic energy of not only himself, but those deemed as targets as well. With this, he is capable of collapsing the kinetic energy of targets to the point where they are turned into nonexistence. Though, that is when it is Offensive. In Defensive form, it manipulates the kinetic energy of projectiles and attacks to reflect back onto attackers. After being enhanced by Saraswati, it would be capable of manipulating the kinetic energy of even Time and the Bindings themselves, altering them to immense degrees.
