Myst

Enough … is enough. Final warning — stand down now, or I'll make you cease to exist. I don't want to do this, but you've left me with no choice.
~ Myst to Mitoshi, A Blond Ray of Sunshine, Part 5: Frozen Summer

Summary

Myst, also known as Kristi, is a character in A Blond Ray of Sunshine — a Pokémon fan fiction series that takes place in a future timeline, almost one hundred years after the events of Pokémon Red and Blue. Making her debut in Frozen Summer, she is portrayed as the 16-year-old stern, yet compassionate member of her group, The Clique, consisting of her longtime friends, Celeste and Kage, and boyfriend, Ken. Her appearance is that of a human mixed with the features of a Raichu, including dark orange fur covering her body, Raichu ears atop her head, long, thin tail with a lightning bolt-shaped end, and yellow 'electric sacs' on her cheeks. Her background is shrouded in mystery, though it is revealed that she and her friends were all previously normal humans who went to the same school as Serenity.

Frozen Summer (2019)

Once Antoshi, Latoshi, and Mitoshi have defeated both Kage and Celeste in the forest where The Clique had been hiding, they find the massive swirling vortex that is churning and fueling the summer blizzard. However, Myst appears and stands before them, stating that their leader, Ken, is within the vortex and she will not allow them to disturb him. Antoshi is unable to reason with her, as was the case with Kage and Celeste, and so Mitoshi steps up and volunteers to take down Myst.

The fight is initially one-sided, as Myst holds a clear upper hand over the inexperienced younger fighter. Myst continuously tells the girl to give up and leave, but Mitoshi refuses to quit. The younger girl eventually finds a new level of power and gains a momentary advantage, before Myst reveals that her Raichu-like appearance is not just for show and creates a surge of electricity that damages and stuns Mitoshi.

Mitoshi counters by revealing her water form, and is invulnerable to Myst's attacks until Myst begins to increase the current of her electricity and vaporizes Mitoshi's liquid body away bit by bit until she's nothing but a floating head. Mitoshi considers surrendering, but goes for one final long shot by launching herself into the cold, storm clouds in the sky. After a moment, Mitoshi begins to rain down as shards of Ki-infused hail that strike down upon Myst with such tremendous force that it renders Myst unconscious. Though drained of energy, the girl reforms her body back to normal and the group move on to face Ken.

Myst regains consciousness when Ken rushes over to check on her. She warns him not to take them lightly, and stands by to spectate the ensuing fight between Ken and Antoshi. Kage and Celeste soon emerge from the forest to look on as well. Antoshi's speed becomes too much for Ken to deal with, and finds himself enveloped in a giant sphere of Antoshi's energy, which the boy calls Red Giant, burning Ken intensely before exploding.

While the siblings cheer Antoshi's victory, Ken plays possum for a short time before firing off a sneak attack in the form of a large, pointed icicle that catches Antoshi in the arm. Myst pleads with Ken not to continue, but Ken is too consumed with rage to listen, launching a barrage of similar icicle attacks which forces the siblings to team up and defend against them. One is deflected and buries in Ken's chest. Ken collapses, believing he's about to die, stating his farewells to his friends before falling unconscious. Antoshi, however, uses his new ability to heal with his Ki, managing to completely fix the hole in Ken's chest and revives him.

Ken is shocked that the boy would save him, and respects him for the great gesture. He and his friends understand that what he'd been saying all along about wanting a peaceful resolution was true. Just as Ken offers his friendship to them, Serenity appears and quickly recognizes the four members of The Clique as the same group that she used to know from her time in school. Ken wishes not to explain what happened to them, and she does not press the issue. She is just glad to see them again, and the two sides part ways on good terms. Within the next few days, the blizzard is completely gone and the snow begins to melt, allowing life to get back to normal after a very abnormal situation.
