ㅤㅤMynx, otherwise known as Myrestica, is a primary antagonist of Anamnesis and primary protagonist of Last Chance. She is an extraordinarily gifted scientist born in the city-state of Noviaa, neglected by her parents and subsequently self-taught at a young age. After running away from home and getting involved with an unsavory group of domestic terrorists, she found herself bound to The Empirical Project, where her genius would be put to dubiously good use. With the resources to do as she pleased, she dedicated her life to independence and freedom from the authorities that had failed her.
ㅤㅤThe world never gave her anything. She remembered that.
𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢
ㅤㅤThe only title more fitting than "The Smartest Woman In The Multiverse" is "The Most Unlikeable Woman In The Multiverse," and it doesn't take more than a few minutes in her presence to see why. Self-absorbed, cocky, antagonistic, narcissistic; all of these describe Mynx aptly, and then some. Controversy doesn't just characterize Mynx—it defines her. Mynx prides herself on her prickly, disagreeable nature, more than eager to scare off the average person she so heavily despises. She thinks she's better than you, she'll make sure you know it, and you'll come to regret ever disagreeing with her.
ㅤㅤWhen Mynx was a child, she lacked adult guidance or role models to teach her social norms, resulting in her being cast aside and ignored by the system. Frustrated and angry, yet lacking the necessary social skills to express her emotions, she quickly discovered that the most effective way to garner attention was by acting out and provoking others. What made matters worse was that she excelled at it, adept at highlighting genuine flaws in the rules and logic she was expected to adhere to, thus frustrating the authorities who demanded respect she refused to give. Rather than get help, she got punishments upon punishments that led her towards her decision to run away from home.
ㅤㅤAs time passed, Mynx honed her ability to deconstruct the charisma of those around her, enabling her to mimic it with surprising efficiency to disguise her ineptitude. With active deliberation, she learned to use her intellect to say the things she knew would get what she wanted, even if she lacked an empathetic understanding of why. Socially, Mynx exudes dominance and assertiveness. She relishes in asserting her influence and challenging others, finding ordinary conversations unimaginably dull. During her youth, she would purposefully provoke individuals of higher status for her own amusement. Either they would succumb to her superiority or she would revel in the exhilaration of putting arrogant individuals in their place. These immature and confrontational tendencies persisted well into her adulthood, as she saw no reason to fix a system that she believed was not broken.
ㅤㅤHer assignment to The Empirical Project was a dream come true. Her own laboratory, her own materials, and her own projects; she still had Rakiel to answer to, but she could ignore him most of the time and pursue her own interests instead. As long as she produced results, her supervisor was happy, and so was she. Her time on the Project exemplified her love for science and discovery, with few things satisfying her curiosity more than intellectual pursuits. A day spent alone in her lab was a day well-spent.
ㅤㅤSafety protocols and regulations are a joke to Mynx. She is more than happy to flex her arcane excellence and cybernetic brilliance by working around exposed nuclear reactors, toxic materials, live circuits, and other horrifically dangerous circumstances, sometimes completely nude. She even drinks radium with every meal and jokingly offers it to anyone in her presence, finding thrill in living life on an edge so sharp that no ordinary person could dare approach. She is a vocal critic of safety guidelines of all kinds, from scientific ordinance to traffic laws, and regards them as gross attempts at government overreach.
ㅤㅤFurthermore, Mynx is a deeply distrustful person with a cynical perspective on human nature. Having grown accustomed to betrayal and manipulation in her youth, Mynx judges everyone around her through lenses as blood red as those in her glasses. She maintains that all humans are deeply selfish by nature, and refuses to engage with the social pretenses everyone else so eagerly dabbles in. Sacrificing her sense of self for conformity is a grave sin she'd rather die than commit. In most cases, her intuition proves remarkably effective in staying ahead of subterfuge and treachery, but at the cost of further isolating herself. It's fine, though—as if she cares.
ㅤㅤIn the wake of The Empirical War, she took her unnaturally acquired social skills to the next level, abandoning alliances just as quickly as she would make them. She'd eagerly make friends with people, use them to advance her own position within the war, and betray them the moment they became a liability. Both Mayflower and The Showstopper met their end because of her nefarious endeavors, and Jackson Merrick nearly killed her several times in retaliation for her backstabbing. She never felt bad for this, as she knew that most of her past allies were likely to betray her at some point anyway; she was simply better at it.
ㅤㅤEverything changed after she met Ash and joined The Final Triumvirate. Having been faced with the existential despair of doom caused by her own actions for several years, she found a unique solace in being able to share her feelings with someone who understood her and could navigate her emotional sensitivities flawlessly. Finally, with the constant threat of death by intrigue no longer looming, she could let out and nurture the kindness inside of her that had been suppressed for so long. She remembered why she repaired defunct cybernetics for the homeless and fought tooth-and-nail for the well-being of the disenfranchised. Her hatred was never for everyone, but rather, the powerful and ignorant. It just so happened that there were a lot of powerful and ignorant people in the world.
ㅤㅤThis is not to say Mynx is a great person, or even a good person. Where she has a soft place in her heart for children, animals, and the injured, she also has a gaping pit of narcissistic fury that fuels disproportionate retaliation against any who wrong her in the slightest. She tries to make things better wherever she happens to be staying, but responds to issues with bull-headed aggression motivated by egotism above all. Ash may have taught her love, but that love remains locked away for the one man that deserves it, and her opinion on the average person hasn't changed in the slightest. Mynx knows she's no saint, and even if age has made her quieter in her self-important tendencies, she has no intention of getting rid of them. Yet, if there is one thing Ash managed to teach her better than anything else, it was the value of sticking by friends and giving them a reason to trust in her as much as she wants to trust in them. The lessons may be over, but there's still someone to whom she can show what she has learned.

ㅤㅤMynx was only seventeen years old when she first joined the newly-formed Empirical Project, the third member to join the burgeoning race to unveil arcane secrets beyond humanity’s limited understanding. Mynx, young, stubborn, and feisty, initially took the job as little more than a pathetic joke that happened to get her off death row. With the government mostly off her back, and under the sole supervision of a middle-aged deadpan scientist and his sour secretary, Mynx quickly took to goofing off and wasting resources on petty, immature projects that all too frequently exploded or caused immense trouble. Lucretia frequently scolded her at first, insisting that she did her work like she was supposed to. Yet, for all her efforts, Rakiel never seemed to pay her rebellious behavior any mind. No matter how hard she tried to irritate the old man, he simply brushed it off, and kept at his work.
ㅤㅤIt was only after another unsuccessful attempt to disturb Rakiel by inverting the gravity of the entire facility that her outbursts were responded to, but not at all in the manner expected. Rakiel kneeled down beside her with his traditionally expressionless face and asked her just how she managed to create and maintain such a field with a device no larger than a phone. Confused by this sudden interest, Mynx responded with an intentionally smug half-truth, yet Rakiel pressed further. By the end of the day, they were working together to clean up the facility and replicate the progress Mynx had made.
ㅤㅤThe days and months that followed weren’t suddenly a perfect dream. Mynx continued to act out with her usual self-absorbed sense of priorities, frequently shutting herself in her personal laboratory for over a week at a time. Yet, Rakiel always respected her independence and awaited a thorough report on her discoveries the moment she emerged once more. Unwilling to disappoint, she delivered every time.
ㅤㅤAs the years went by and the team grew larger and larger, Mynx grew into her role as an independent researcher, coming out a scant few times a week to share her findings and take inspiration for her next round of studies. Even with the maturity of adulthood, Mynx never truly grew out of her introverted nature for anyone except Rakiel himself. Reporting her findings to Rakiel and receiving even the slightest of nods remained one of the few things that encouraged her to leave her room. Around nobody else did she feel the respect and appreciation she needed to feel comfortable reciprocating, and there was never a week where she couldn’t be found having a rich, mentally invigorating conversation with her team leader from dawn to dusk at least once.
ㅤㅤYet, even with the respect, privilege, and responsibility of an esteemed and successful adult, Mynx’s mind and pride were never able to fully relax around Rakiel. His professional, impersonal style of communication drove Mynx insane, as she could never get a read on him like she could on anyone else. Even through her charm and wit, there was always a conscious attempt to never overplay her admiration for him, with extra attention given to ensuring that the balance of their mutual appreciation remained equitable in Mynx's mind. She analyzed every last sign, weighing every word choice and change in body language in an attempt to figure out how he truly felt without having to ask directly. Not once could she reach an answer that lasted more than a single conversation before her compulsive mind found a million reasons to cast doubt on it.
ㅤㅤDespite all that, her friendship with Rakiel remained stable and productive for over ten years. Then, they found The Empiricals. In only a few weeks, everything she knew was gone, and Mynx was alone once more. Isolated and with nobody to turn to, Mynx found herself missing the tactful, sharp tongue that kept her mind racing in the most dull of times. So lonely she was that, when Rakiel and Ash came to retake her Empirical of Chance, she jumped for joy at the opportunity and abandoned her studies to engage in repeated battles of wit and magic against her former friends. However dangerous and painful these confrontations were, she found no greater joy than being able to hold Rakiel at a standstill, both intellectually and magically.
ㅤㅤAfter Ash managed to recruit her into The Final Triumvirate, Mynx found the time to get closer to Rakiel than she ever had before. In those final weeks leading up to The World Reset, she got so close to the man’s honest thoughts and could just about taste the truth she so deeply desired from him. Never before had she been happier than in the final days before the end of it all. Even after Ash’s death, it was Rakiel who helped her keep it together and move forward with the plan. Then, in the last few seconds of existence as all of comprehensible reality tore apart, Rakiel smiled at Mynx and gave her a hug.
ㅤㅤThat was the last she would ever see of Rakiel. Reborn in the aftermath of City Aleph, Mynx could only read the historical records in gut-wrenching horror as she realized that she had arrived just slightly too late. Rakiel had been reborn and killed before she even had a chance to meet him again.
ㅤㅤNow, Mynx lives in the shadow of a man she failed to understand. She can’t walk down the streets without seeing the faintest reverberations of his impact, lingering remnants of a man from so long ago. Rakiel is a man who, even in death, creates more questions for Mynx than answers. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t think of him, filled with deep misery she could never admit to anyone—not even herself. Deep down, she remains conflicted, furious that she lost the chance to prove her worth yet also despondent over the loss of someone who motivated her so much. At times, her mind floods with illogical self-loathing over just how much she owes to him, only for her to wallow in guilt and shame immediately afterwards. The growing pit in her stomach is only bearable as long as she regularly fills it with shallow entertainment and cheap booze. Yet, in the end, she finds it her solemn duty to finish what they started all those years ago. Even though Mynx can no longer earn his approval, she will always continue to try.𝙰𝚜𝚑 𝚅𝚎𝚛𝚕𝚎
“ | You were the most annoying, unpredictable little brat I’ve ever met in my life, yet I wish I could’ve been more like you. I may not have you anymore, but I’ll be sure to take care of what you’ve left behind. | „ |
ㅤㅤAnd if there is anything Mynx hated more than being one-upped, it was being wrong. Without any qualifications, Ash defied all expectations and turned out to be a valuable and productive member of the team. He slowly earned favor among his fellow coworkers with his street smarts and natural intuition, his scrappy nature assisting greatly during expeditions into the wastelands surrounding Noviaa. Sure, he was far from the most capable scientist, and could never compete with Mynx in terms of academic intellect, but his creativity and work ethic made him more successful than she would have liked.
ㅤㅤFor a while, things were normal enough. Mynx matured with age and became more concerned with secluding herself and interacting with no one than holding a petty grudge. Really, Ash simply stopped being a recurring subject on her mind, as she continued uncovering the secrets of the multiverse in complete solitude. Her relationship with Ash improved tangentially, but she still regarded him as little more than a naïve child. He was good at his job, sure, but that alone didn't deserve Mynx's respect; after all, few things did.
ㅤㅤLittle did she know that he would soon become a pain in her side once more.
ㅤㅤWhen Mynx helped jumpstart The Empirical War, she imagined that Ash would be one of the ones swiftly killed off by others. She was wrong. The young man, donning a historical greatsword he looted from a museum, saved the life of none other than Rakiel E. Maruher, becoming his closest ally in the process. The tag team of time and knowledge would become a permanent pain in Mynx's side, operating with unbridled ruthlessness and cleverness that she could only barely stay ahead of. Each attempt she made to take them out of the picture resulted in failure, and even if she always managed to escape by skin of her teeth, she was forced to re-evaluate what she knew about Ash's character.
ㅤㅤWhat Mynx had learned throughout the conflict was that, above all, Ash was unpredictable. Yes, he spoke with a sense of candid honesty, but those words never actually brought Mynx any closer to understanding how he really thought. His actions were spontaneous and improvised, and he served as the split-second problem-solver to accompany Rakiel's long-term strategic genius. Whatever logic that dictated his actions was downright foreign to Mynx, with his "carefree, innocent attitude sharply contrasted with unflinching brutality when necessary. To Mynx, it had to be a ploy, some kind of manipulation to make people underestimate him. She swore she would never make that mistake again.
ㅤㅤWith this in mind, she sprung a trap. She offered a diplomatic invitation to Ash alone, under the pretense of wanting to resolve their differences and potentially bring a truce. It was a perfect opportunity to kill her, and that was exactly what Mynx planned for. With dozens upon dozens of safeguards, counter-plans, and defensive contingencies, she welcomed Ash and Rakiel's attempt at her life, as it would finally let her see their true colors. As expected, Ash arrived at the abandoned storefront on a planet devoid of life, and they began their talks.
ㅤㅤAnd they talked.
ㅤㅤAnd they talked.
ㅤㅤAnd they talked some more.
ㅤㅤBy the end of the day, it was clear that Ash had absolutely no plan. No ulterior motive, no clandestine intentions. Mynx was utterly baffled, even more so when he revealed his motivations—he genuinely wanted to spend time with her. Thrown so far off her original plans, Mynx couldn't do anything but go along with it, even if just out of innate curiosity. By some charismatic miracle, he had managed to confuse her so heavily that she was able to forget all about the war and the death it had brought. Instead, she was able to enjoy the company of a cheerful, awkward weirdo who had managed to sneak past her prickly exterior so well that she never even noticed.
ㅤㅤAfter that, she was recruited into The Final Triumvirate, and joined Ash and Rakiel in their quest to enact The World Reset and defeat The Bearer of Chains and give the world another chance at doing things better. They prepared for months, planning and conducting experiments within time-dilated spheres of magic and their personal dream worlds to buy themselves as much time as possible. Naturally, that gave her plenty of time to deepen her connection with the strange young man, with their hangouts becoming increasingly frequent in the days leading up to the day of reckoning. All looked well in these final days, and for once in her life, Mynx felt a sense of joy in the presence of another human being. In fact, maybe she was a bit more than just happy.
ㅤㅤAnd then, The Bearer of Chains arrived, far ahead of schedule. The three of them panicked, and rushed to finish the device that would grant them a chance to cleanse their sins and save everything. Yet, they had seconds where they needed minutes, and as they hopped from one realm to another in a desperate attempt to evade Lucretia, Ash stopped them in an urban city street and declared he would stay behind to buy them some time. The ensuing argument was brief, but his mind was made up, and the two of them left.
ㅤㅤMynx doesn't know what transpired on that city street. She only knew that, by some miracle, he had bought them the time they needed, and The World Reset was in motion. With their immortality contingencies in play, Rakiel and Mynx spent their last moments constructing a homage of their lost friend, a new life built from their time with him. The construction was flawed, stained by tears and bias, but it represented the last fragment of Ash they had left. With reality collapsing around them, Rakiel and Mynx embraced one final time, with the promise that they would all meet again on the other side. Even if Ash was no longer with them, Mynx would be accompanied by a new soul—a soul named Valev.

Tier: 1-A | At least 7-A, likely much higher
Name: Myrestica, Mynx
Origin: The Infinite Consortium
Gender: Female
Age: Complicated
Classification: First Herald, Consortium Traveler
Powers and Abilities:
Automatic Translation (Mynx has her mind programmed to read through any sort of text or cipher she doesn’t understand, using all her knowledge and standard code-breaking techniques to understand it in seconds. Works on both conventional and runic languages), Acausality (Type 2: Mynx, as with the entirety of The Last Triumvirate, Unbound herself from the past and future to retain enhanced personal freedom in all circumstances. All members of The Empirical War were able to travel through time and engage with each other on individual levels, being present in only one place at any given time), Accelerated Development (Mynx processes and comprehends information at an increased speed through her many mental modifications, allowing her to learn new magical spells and techniques at a fast rate), Adaptation (The pathways of Mynx’s soul automatically shift in response to attacks coming her way, altering to proficiently protect against anything that may hit her and preparing to better resist them in the future), Age Manipulation (With The Boon of Chance, Mynx can rapidly wear down the telomeres through repeatedly unlucky and extremely faulty replication of the lagging strand, causing volatile and swift aging capable of killing in seconds), Attack Reflection (Superior mages can hijack and invert attacks from inferior mages, sending them back at their attacker or controlling them altogether), BFR (Mynx can both send foes through space with traditional Consortium Traveler abilities and can teleport individuals significant distances with her Empirical of Chance), Biological Manipulation, Body Control, and Body Puppetry (Through Soul Grasp and her proficiency in biological engineering, Mynx can swiftly reprogram the Existence of allies and foes alike, warping or controlling their bodies as she sees fit. She has full control over her bodily systems and can warp them both biologically and technologically, and can similarly invoke control of the bodies of others by picking at their Oversoul. This can invoke physical transformations even outside of carbon-based life forms), Black Hole Manipulation (With The Boon of Chance and manipulation of physics, Mynx can manifest black holes to destroy foes. The interaction between these black holes and her strange matter remains unknown, but she notes it is "not something you want to experience"), Clairvoyance (Mynx can track and monitor people’s Oversouls from far distances, able to target them as long as she can accurately identify the target with her magic), Conceptual Manipulation, Soul Manipulation, and Resistance Negation (Mynx holds an extremely high proficiency with the soul, achieving the nearly-unheard feat of modifying and splicing entire sections of even her Oversoul with precision and grace. She uses this to both bolster and augment her own soul, as well as infiltrate and subvert the resistances of souls around her if given enough time. Mynx has a mastery with provoking weak points and squeezing water from a stone, finding a way to break down even the most impenetrable of magical fortresses), Creation (Mynx can create any manner of traditional, non magical matter, and frequently summons augmentations into her body through The Possibility Storm), Cyborgization (Mynx’s body possesses an ever-shifting and swiftly evolving number of cybernetic enhancements for a variety of purposes, such as heightened physical capabilities, quick access to her devices, and various protective and analytic measures), Data Manipulation (Mynx can convert her magic into electronic influence, capable of re-writing or manipulating the memory or capacity of computers as well as the data they hold), Death Manipulation (Aside from a plethora of low-strength high-range instant death spells meant to easily deal with non-Consortium Travelers, Mynx can also invoke heart attacks, bursting blood vessels, and a variety of other physiological conditions through sheer luck. This can also apply on a mental level, invoking mental duress and strain capable of destroying the mind and soul among similar effects), Dimensional Storage (Mynx keeps a variety of easily accessible dimensional states and pocket realms around her for swift retreat or general storage), Disease Manipulation (Through luck, she can both invoke diseases that an individual possibly could've caught as well as exacerbating the effects of these diseases by invoking repeated biological failures. If not contested by another magical user, even a basic flu can result in certain death), Dream Manipulation (With her proficiency in mental manipulation, Mynx frequently manipulated the dreams of both her and her colleagues, using them as spaces to perform extensive, lucid planning as well as simulating events before they happen in a very efficient way), Earth Manipulation (With The Boon of Chance, Mynx can invoke calamities from the ground such as earthquakes and volcanoes), Elemental Manipulation (Like most Consortium Travelers worth their salt, Mynx knows a variety of basic elemental spells for combative and casual purposes alike), Energy Manipulation (As a proficient weapons producer and manipulator of Caelum, Mynx can easily channel Caelum from The Consortium directly into highly pure energy blasts with existence-erasing properties. She is notoriously proficient in this, and later becomes an infamous criminal in Nova Alyph for her mana battery technology alone), Fate Manipulation (Mynx's Boon of Chance does not concern itself solely with the luck of the present, but additionally, the luck of what could've and will be. In scenarios where time or specific circumstances are a prerequisite to an theoretical outcome, as long as Mynx would be able to manifest the desired outcome in such circumstances, Mynx can rapidly or near-instantly shift reality to make an outcome possible), Genius Intelligence, Hacking, Illusion Manipulation (Mynx can shield and protect both herself and pocket realms from all manner of senses and abilities to avoid detection, with several layers of fail-safes against information analysis and other penetration methods meant to reveal the truth), Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8: Mynx is ageless and biologically all-powerful, capable of surviving excessive blows across her body and regenerating regardless. With The Boon of Chance, she can create spiritual Boltzmann brains with her exact memories and experiences to revive herself briefly after death. With The Possibility Storm, Mynx can perpetually shift what aspect of her soul she is reliant on, allowing her to live dependent on her Essence despite what physical harm may come her way. However, after her resurrection in Last Chance, she notes that revival is no longer readily possible for her), Information Analysis (Mynx is an experienced knowledge mage who worked with none other than Rakiel E. Maruher himself. She is capable of analyzing magic and objects in an instant, breaking down their many properties to a degree depending on the strength of the original caster. Against weaker foes, she can analyze information directly out of their mind), Information Manipulation (Types 1 and 2: Similarly, she is capable of obscuring and manipulating information, having fundamentally altered her name and identity within her Oversoul to utter gibberish for purposes of evading detection and scrying-based magics among many other information-altering abilities meant to trick foes equal or less than her in skill. While not as proficient in it as higher-level information manipulators such as Rakiel and Zythas, she can alter fundamental numbers about herself in small ways to reduce or amplify her relationship with physics), Instinctive Action (With The Boon of Chance, Mynx frequently finds herself happening to notice or react to circumstances before she would have otherwise known to do something), Invulnerability (Through manipulating and converting matter and physics to an altered, more stable state, Mynx can divorce herself from the rules of traditional physics and reality to become invincible to all forms of normal damage), Life Manipulation (Mynx can create consciousness and combine souls into objects, sparking life in anything), Magic, Magnetism Manipulation (With The Boon of Chance, Mynx can manipulate and eliminate a planet's electromagnetic fields for immensely dangerous and volatile results), Metal Manipulation (A skill first picked up by Rakiel, Mynx has also learned how to warp metal with just a thought), Mind Manipulation (Through Soul Grasp, Mynx can swiftly reprogram the Essence of allies and foes alike, manipulating their minds, thoughts, and memories freely. She can swiftly harvest and hijack the mind for anything she desires, as well as purifying it from outside influence and invoking extreme focus and emotional control), Photographic Memory, Pocket Reality Manipulation and Dimensional Manipulation (Like many Consortium Travelers, Mynx frequently creates smaller realms for storage, hiding, or general living. While she doesn't control these realms absolutely, they tend to have many layers of warding and protection against outside interference to make them nearly impossible to find and difficult to enter), Portal Creation (Mynx can create portals for dimensional travel in place of normal teleportation when she wishes), Power Modification, Mimicry, and Nullification (Mynx can pick at the souls of allies and enemies alike, striking inhibitors to either enhance or weaken magical abilities. She can reconfigure the soul to enhance or eliminate resistances and grant natural affinities and weaknesses for and against various types of magic. Finally, with enough time, she can copy and transplant information and talent for non-Boon magics into her own soul), Preparation, Probability Manipulation and Supernatural Luck (Mynx possesses a remarkably rare ability in The Boon of Chance. With the immense power of luck itself, Mynx can manifest truly ridiculous odds into reality in a near-unlimited stretch of ways limited only by her imagination. Passively, Mynx is protected against all matters of misfortune. Examples include perfect health against all diseases in the mind and body, guns jamming in her presence, always bringing useful equipment for any given circumstance, and happening to accidentally defend against surprise attacks before she is actually aware. Actively, she can summon meteors, snipe people with gamma ray bursts, warp physics and reality, teleport, and even resurrect herself through sheer luck alone), Quantum Manipulation (Through sheer luck alone, Mynx can manipulate and create cosmic phenomena such as strange matter and false vacuum decay. She can summon these abilities with incredible precision, creating and erasing instances of these abilities swiftly to completely erase enemies, warp physics and reality, and even stabilize her body to a point where it no longer abides by the rules of physical reality as known. This ability is, additionally, notoriously difficult to resist for Consortium denizens due to both holding immense natural, physical power evading the Oversoul altogether while also being backed by Mynx’s own magical influence), Radiation Manipulation (Aside from generally being able to warp matter and physics and frequently working with highly radioactive materials, Mynx can summon stray, concentrated gamma ray bursts to instantly kill targets), Reality Warping (With both The Boon of Chance and regular magic, Mynx can warp and contort reality in a plethora of ways, scaling from distorting space to altering the fundamental laws of the universe), Regeneration (At least Low-Godly: While Mynx can't regenerate from the full destruction of the soul, the raw power and all-encompassing nature of The Oversoul makes destroying it particularly hard anyways. She can regenerate, splice, and reform from the destruction of both her mind and body, even at the same time, and can handle having parts of the fundamental concepts of her existence being eliminated outright. However, the destruction of her soul entirely would kill her, granting this level of regeneration based on the complete recovery of Mynx's physical body), Regeneration Negation (Mynx is capable of inflicting wounds with her spells that a variety of traditional Consortium regeneration methods outright fail against), Resurrection (Through sheer luck, Mynx was able to project her magic past the complete collapse and reset of The Chain's absolute influence over reality, combining the birth of a child with her exact DNA with the spontaneous creation of an Oversoul with her exact memories and makeup to revive herself in the new universe. With preparation, she can more easily and quickly revive herself from more localized destruction. She lost this ability when transferring into the New World), Self-Sustenance (Types 1, 2, and 3: Mynx’s body is self-preserving, regenerating, and efficient, giving her near-tireless stamina physically and little need to satiate any bodily requirements), Shapeshifting ( Mynx regularly and passively shifts her body to near-identical copies of itself to negate and cancel out magical effects, and can further shape her Existence in several ways for stronger physical capabilities and both biological and technological physiology), Social Influencing (Mynx possesses immense social wit, using both her calculating mind and charming personality to get what she wants out of even the toughest of individuals), Statistics Amplification and Reduction (While not the most proficient in it, Mynx can magically charge her body for largely increased speed and capabilities to a point where she can keep up with more skilled combatants such as Vayla. Similarly, she can amplify the abilities of enemies to cause unintended effects, such as accelerating their body far faster than their reactions or amplifying small jabs with immense power to leave the user winded and off-balance. Finally, she can weaken opponents with the contrary, reducing speed, strength, and durability to assist in dealing with more combat-adept foes), Telekinesis (Mynx can move objects with her mind with little issue, and enjoys using small pushes to trip or disorientate weaker foes), Telepathy (Like many Consortium Travelers, Mynx can send mental messages with magic either across an entire world or to specific people. When needed, these messages can be incredibly well-encoded and designed only to be read by the intended recipient), Teleportation (With The Boon of Chance, Mynx channels the theory of indeterminism to warp and teleport both herself, others, and objects around. This ability is often quite difficult to resist due to its indirect nature of application), Weather Manipulation (Mynx can summon extreme natural phenomena with ease, creating extreme storms and horrible weather out of nowhere).
Absorption and Information Analysis (Can create devices such as The Aetheric Siphon that drain mana and knowledge from her surroundings), Duplication (With robots, clones, and Imitatrix), Electricity Manipulation and Fire Manipulation (Mynx can channel electricity and fire into several basic technologies, such as firearms or explosive rounds), Flight, Forcefield Creation and heightened Resistance to many types of indirect magic (Can create forcefields that also distort and cancel out indirect magical wavelengths, such as The Psybane Veil), Homing Attack and Explosion Manipulation (Mynx can fire homing missiles from nearly any point on her body), Invisibility (Through light-cloaking technology and magical shielding, Mynx can remain invisible and imperceptible to all forms of physical or arcane sensory below a certain level), Madness Manipulation (Can create arcane spells and cognitohazards that prove disastrous for an enemy's mental state), Physics Manipulation (Can defy and break laws of physics with a variety of devices), Pain Manipulation with The Rapture, Sound Manipulation with The Melodic Apotheosis, likely far more (Mynx has been shown to regularly create technology for spells and abilities she can already cast normally, using devices as a cheaper and more cost-efficient way of carrying out things she could still otherwise do).
BFR, Dimensional Travel, and Teleportation (Consortium Travelers can shun themselves and others through The Consortium to avoid conflict and explore the multiverse), Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1) and Soul Manipulation (All Consortium Travelers can conjure both the essence of their Boons, which originate from the very Chains themselves as pillars of Consortium structural law. Similarly, they can interact with The Oversoul, an embodiment of the self in all ways and encompassing even the user’s Boon in a way above both their Existence and Essence), Cosmic Awareness (All Consortium Travelers have an acute awareness of the multiverse around them, capable of reading waves in dimensional space and identifying magical signatures to track down dimensional traveling foes and find various universes within the vast sea), Enhanced Senses (All Consortium Travelers have a heightened sense of physical awareness, capable of seeing farther distances and hearing even the slightest of sounds with control and precision due to their close relationship to Caelum), Extrasensory Perception and Limited Perception Manipulation (Consortium Travelers can sense magical signatures and see the world by its natural Caelum, as well as use highly impure magical spells to cloak or warp others’ magical sensory abilities), Existence Erasure (All Consortium Travelers can control and manipulate pure Caelum to eat away at the fabric of existence), Higher-Dimensional Existence and Non-Physical Interaction (All Consortium Travelers can interact with forms, physical or not, on the Caelum level of their given magic. Mynx is particularly capable of this, being one of the progenitors of Consortium Travelers as a concept), Self-Sustenance (Type 1, 2, and 3: Consortium Travelers can exist and move in a greater-dimensional space without the presence of air without difficulty. Essence-reliant beings are not dependent on their physical body and can regenerate with magic, while physical needs are more akin to suggestions), Astral Projection (Essence-reliant beings can manifest their ethereal bodies on a higher level than their physical ones, allowing them to see beyond physical boundaries and extend deep into The Consortium), Shapeshifting (All Essence-reliant beings can easily reshape their body with their own magic depending on what they desire, though tend to be bound to a creature of similar size to their Existence), Intangibility (Essence-reliant beings can often split apart and morph their body into spiritual energy for short periods of time), Unconventional Immunity to Mind Manipulation (For an Existence-reliant being, as long as the Oversoul and Existence of the body remains intact, an individual will not die even if their Essence is fully destroyed or hijacked. The mind will swiftly repair and replace itself in this case, albeit with significant loss to memories and knowledge outside of magical use. If the body is not controlled directly, it will act on pure instinct during this time).
All standard Consortium Traveler resistances at a traditionally and unconventionally high level (With The Possibility Storm, Mynx holds an ever-adapting soul that rapidly replaces and shifts in response to any attempt to infiltrate it), Resistance to Probability Manipulation and Fate Manipulation (Even when weakened and without the full power of her Empirical, Mynx still holds a notably high resistance to all effects under the branch of Chance on a level of the Empirical itself), Unconvential Resistance to Quantum Manipulation (Mynx has a passive relationship with matter and its mechanics, fluidly interacting with it to such an extent that she can survive having all the matter in her body fully converted to a more “stable” state of existence, as well as being able to interact with and live with all the changes to reality and physics that may come with it), Resistance to Radiation Manipulation (Drinks Radithor, a highly radioactive vial of water, on a regular basis).
Attack Potency: Outerverse level (As a First Herald, Mynx can channel the power of The Empirical of Chance, a force that fundamentally dictates the infinite, continuous stretch of the chain below it. Her control over The Empirical of Chance is noticeably high up on its own chain of hierarchy, having climbed several metaphorical "links" above where she started in the unending climb for power) | At least Mountain level (Summoned several meteorites to smite The Heavens of Nova Alyph with her Boon of Chance), likely far higher (These attacks were notably casual by her standards, and all buildings and structures within Nova Alyph are magically reinforced to be several times stronger than normal in most circumstances. With certain techniques such as false vacuum decay, she could likely destroy far more)
Speed: Immeasurable (Comparable to Ash Verle, whose Empirical of Time operates above all temporal links. All First Heralds can operate on higher levels of existence with higher comprehensions of time and can travel through time in addition to warping through dimensions) | Massively FTL+ (Comparable to Vayla, who is weaker but still vaguely comparable to her Pre-Reformation self in speed, making her comparable to performers of The Planck Dance. Can react to her own creation of strange matter, erasing it from existence before it can spread too far)
Lifting Strength: Unknown | Class G (Can lift and throw skyscrapers telekinetically. Comparable to The Knight of Consequence, the physically strongest person in the era)
Striking Strength: Unknown, likely Outerverse level (Never physically fights in combat, and relies on her abilities for a majority of what she is capable of, but can briefly struggle against far physically superior foes on this level) | Mountain level (Could hurt The Emperor casually, and could contest The Knight of Consequence's strikes)
Durability: Outerverse level (Could survive physical hits from some of the strongest First Empiricals, such as Jackson Merrick, Ash Verle, and The Knight of Consequence), The Empirical of Chance and The Possibility Storm make her exceedingly difficult to kill (The Empirical of Chance passively and actively increases her survivability, allowing her to reform, teleport away from, and reincarnate out of danger. The Possibility Storm continuously creates new instances of her mind and body, erasing any single-shot attempt to kill her) | Mountain level (Could survive hits from various physically powerful foes, such as The Knight of Consequence), The Boon of Chance and The Possibility Storm make her exceedingly difficult to kill (While weakened, Mynx is still capable of manipulating chance to both boost her survivability and evade attacks, as well as staving off spells that would otherwise kill her instantly)
Stamina: Infinite (By the end of Anamnesis, Mynx can cast spells with complete disregard for stamina and mana, being only limited by what she actually knows how to cast and how quickly she can invoke her spells) | Superhuman physically (Regularly survived gunshots and brutal injuries with little issue, and has fought off swarms of soldiers for long periods of time with few signs of tire), Below Average magically (She is highly reliant on her technology in this state, as her body is less capable of withstanding the spells she prefers to unleash)
Range: Outerversal | At least Thousands of Kilometers, likely Universal with most attacks, up to Complex Universal with magic.
- Aetheric Siphon
- Along Mynx's back are a series of inlet valve siphons that naturally draw arcana from the environment. As ambient Caelum energy flows through the air, the Aetheric Siphons spring into action. A series of interlocking plates and articulated mechanisms react to the presence of mana, adjusting their position and shape to optimize the mana intake process. These various valves help her fuel her spells as well as derive information from the lingering remnants of previously cast spells.
- Imitatrix
- As an expert mechanical engineer and soulcrafter, Mynx has mastered the art of weaving automaton for her own purposes. However, during The Empirical War, she came to learn that robots are inevitably outmatched by any particular Empirical user, making them near-irrelevant in a straightforward fight. With this in mind, she created The Imitatrix, a class of automatons modeled directly after her. With her own augmentations, appearance, and personality, they can act the part and distract opponents, with heavy layers of information magic making any given Imitatrix appear exactly as Mynx in every manner of detection.
- Psybane Veil
- After being mugged and shanked in an alleyway, it didn't take long for Mynx to learn the importance of personal defense. At all times, Mynx's body is covered in a skintight magical forcefield meant to endure attacks and prevent contact. Moreover, it also serves as an arcane scrambler, further defending her from attempts to attack her in nonphysical, indirect ways.
- Very Normal Bouncy Ball
- An all-time favorite of Mynx's, the Very Normal Bouncy Ball is a seemingly innocuous sphere transformed into a vessel of chaos. Defying the laws of physics, it bounds with mind-boggling velocity, accelerating rapidly and tearing through adversaries with ease. Better yet, Mynx has meticulously imbued countless cognitohazards upon its surface, cursing anyone who looks at it to a murderous, obsessive rage, inflicting a protective fury over the ball's existence.
- The Rapture
- The Rapture, or Painfinity, is a self-defense weapon of Mynx's personal design, resembling a cross between a riding crop and a fly swatter. Its slender, flexible shaft is expertly crafted from durable, black leather, adorned with intricate engravings that shimmer with an otherworldly iridescence. Meanwhile, at the end of the handle is a large, padded surface covered in a web-like pattern of interlaced, shimmering threads.
- Upon contact with a foe, or any surface directly touching the foe, The Rapture unfurls an unfathomable, agonizing rush of suffering within its target, igniting every pain receptor at once in a frenzied chorus. It even accounts for irregular or cybernetic biology, by identifying unpleasant, negative signals and delivering them in extreme abundance. The pain is easily enough to incapacitate or even kill a battle-hardened human being.
- Melodic Apotheosis
- In her adventures across the multiverse, Mynx came across an assortment of sounds well beyond any human comparison. She collected these melodies, from hypernovas to black hole mergers to spatial tears in existence, and stored them within a compact, sleek box adorned with protective arcane channels. When activated, this speaker unleashes a cataclysmic wave of sound capable of killing nearby listeners and destroying surroundings with a maelstrom of destructive vibrations. The sheer magnitude of these collected sounds leaves nothing but oblivion once it reaches its final crescendo.
- Radithor
- Mynx's favorite drink. A small vial of radiation-infused water.
- Rehmer's Gift
- A special set of devices found within the depths of The Noviaan Lab Remnant, left there be Rehmer for Mynx to find in the future. There are three in total, and each provides a massive, unimaginable surge of mana, providing Mynx with the Caelum to cast her spells with impunity.
Intelligence: Even as a child, Mynx held a remarkable prowess for learning that had no help in flourishing throughout her early days. At a young age, she was already forced to take care of herself all while advancing her own studies and knowledge. After running away from home, she made a name for herself through her street engineering and repair skills, and found herself unintentionally associated with a group of domestic terrorists.
ㅤㅤWhile on The Empirical Project, she was regarded as one of the most intelligent members, despite being young and solitary in nature. She spent several years making significant advancements in the study of magic with minimal assistance from others, and played a vital role in the revelation of Empirical Forces, and with it, the downfall of reality as they knew it. In the chaos that followed, she demonstrated her acquired social wit and tactical planning by fooling and evading a plethora of foes, constantly manipulating and backstabbing people to stay one step ahead of the many attempts on her life. In the end, she proved vital in constructing The World Reset, and forged a magical spell to shunt her consciousness into the future through luck alone.
ㅤㅤAfter her revival, Mynx adopted the title of 'the smartest woman in the multiverse' and showcased her prowess by overcoming numerous magical barriers previously deemed impossible, with only a fraction of the resources available to previous inventors and scientists. She continued to thwart entire governments, using her magical knowledge to outplay, evade, and even maliciously vex small empires through illegal businesses and large-scale projects, serving the dual purpose of both causing trouble for said government and proving a point.
ㅤㅤWhile a majority of her knowledge is focused in science and engineering, Mynx is still a relentlessly talented logician capable of keeping up with Vayla’s incredible strategic capabilities. Her mind is comparable to a supercomputer, if not optimized to a point surpassing that through her own mental modifications. Despite being repeatedly placed in environments where she is outgunned or reduced in power, she still manages to carefully manage her resources and deal with combat scenarios in the safest ways possible. While completely devoid of even the slightest training of martial arts, she frequently manages to match skilled opponents in melee combat through intuition and quick thinking alone.
ㅤㅤWhen her resources are more abundant, she is prone to investing excessive effort into exceedingly small projects, to the point of overkill. She is a proficient social manipulator and liar, combining an understanding of the human psyche with a logical and calculating mindset to get what she wants. Mynx frequently sets up massively complex and multi-faceted plans consisting of both logistical and social aspects to achieve otherwise impossible goals. However, these plans can backfire when Mynx's charisma and knowledge of social situations clash with her own sense of pride.
ㅤㅤMynx’s ego often serves as the largest drawback to her own unimaginable intelligence, as she often becomes self-absorbed and oblivious to the feelings of those around her. Mynx's relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries and testing the limits often lands her in more trouble than if she had stopped while ahead. The same cunning and deceptive behaviors that make her a formidable adversary eventually come to the attention of friends and family who have grown tired of being manipulated as pawns in her grand schemes. Worst of all, Mynx’s ambition played a pivotal role in the emergence of The Empiricals, an event that led to the demise of the entire multiverse. In summary, despite Mynx's exceptional intelligence, she struggles to differentiate between what she is capable of doing and what she should do, often leading to severe consequences.
Standard Tactics: Mynx's standard tactical behavior is difficult to identify, as it strongly depends on the circumstances at hand. Generally speaking, she prefers to know what she is going up against before making any major strategic decisions, and acts accordingly.
ㅤㅤWhen caught off-guard or against an unknown foe, Mynx spares no expense nor sympathy, no matter how helpless the enemy may seem. She will usually prod with a variety of quick spells to see if the enemy is strong enough to resist them in the first place, while also leaving to a more safe distance. If an enemy has no ability to survive her spells, she won't bother wasting any time in dispatching them.
ㅤㅤOtherwise, Mynx is known for her caution and ridiculous defensive paranoia born from a fear of the highly lethal Empiricals that surrounded her. She spends so much time preparing her defenses for any given circumstance that even Rakiel found her preparations rather excessive. Only after Mynx is sure in her defense does she unleash overwhelming offense, quickly figuring out what works and sticking to it until the opponent is dead. When truly serious, she pays no attention to silly ideas like "collateral damage" and single-mindedly focuses on dispatching the threat first, and dealing with everything else afterwards.
Weaknesses: No matter how much Mynx outsmarts her enemies, her insatiable lust for controversy and attention plunges her into an ever-deepening spiral of danger and lethality, ultimately leading to the destruction of everything she touches. Mynx is incapable of finding contentment and cannot resist the urge to assert herself for the sake of her petty beliefs. The concept of proportionality is completely lost on her, as she responds to minor annoyances with outrageously excessive retaliation, the product of a bored woman with an too much free time. In summary, while her intellect is near-insurmountable, her personality persistently drives her abilities to their limits, exacerbating the situation with each passing moment.
ㅤㅤAdditionally, later in her life, her preferred spells become far more taxing for her weakened reincarnation, forcing her to be more picky with her spells.
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- The Empirical of Chance
- Conjured from the depths of cosmic fabric, The Empirical of Chance manifests as the supreme custodian presiding over the intricate tapestry of luck and uncertainty. Transcending the expansive continuum of ceaseless progression, The Empirical of Chance commands dominion over each successive echelon in the unbroken chain of ascent, endowing its Herald with boundless mastery over the capricious whims that govern the realm of destiny.
- As an Empirical Boon, its absolute dominion over chance resides on a higher plane, surpassing the myriad interwoven and overlapping links below. The power is unique and individual, channeled into a chosen vessel as a divine Herald, bearing forth its message and will as a fundamental force of nature. While lesser wielders of the Chance arcana may grapple with the relentless surges of ever-ascending potency, The Empirical of Chance possesses a directive capable of reshaping the very fabric of The Consortium across the immeasurable expanse of infinite spaces and beyond.
- Unlike her counterparts, Mynx, as the First Herald, shares an unparalleled attunement with The Empirical of Chance, elevating her Oversoul to a realm where it can ward off Empirical-level abilities in their varied forms. Though her physical form may bear vulnerabilities, her soul becomes an impregnable fortress fueled by otherworldly determination, exerting dominion over fate itself.
- Her power extends far beyond mere passivity, becoming an active manifestation of resolute will that can impose its influence upon reality itself, bending and even reshaping the fabric of existence to cultivate ideal circumstances for desired outcomes. For example, with but a fleeting thought, she can manipulate the currents of destiny, orchestrating celestial trajectories to barrel towards enemies, even when such objects were absent from the cosmic stage.
- Moreover, at a tangible level, she expertly distorts probabilities, birthing extreme spatial phenomena of unfathomable destructive potential. From unleashing concentrated gamma bursts to snipe people at precise moments, to utilizing either false vacuum decay or strange matter in brief, cataclysmic bursts that rend and annihilate known reality, to effortlessly traversing the spatial spectrum at her whim by harnessing the very essence of indeterminacy, the potential for this ability is nigh-unbound. Notably, she is immune to many of these effects, such as being able to survive at a vacuum state of existence.
- Her potential for chance extends past the physical and into the realm of metaphysical reality, allowing her to cause mana surges, spatial rips, and a plethora of other reality-obliterating phenomena with little effort at all. At the pinnacle of her potential, she engineered the improbable birth of a soulbound Boltzmann Brain, a sentient entity with her exact memories and experiences, materializing simultaneously with a child bearing her precise genetic makeup. This extraordinary feat allowed her to transcend The World Reset and the annihilation it wrought upon all, defying even the very Empirical Chains themselves.
- However, after this reincarnation, Mynx lost a massive amount of her Empirical capabilities and struggles to cast spells beyond the realm of Adagio due to her lack of internal mana.
- The Possibility Storm
- Each Empirical entity is accompanied by a paradoxical manifestation known as a "Paradox Weapon," an embodiment of its will upon reality, an irrefutable and flawless decree within its designated domain. Within the expansive domain of their respective Empirical concepts, each Paradox Weapon reigns supreme and unchallenged, save for encounters with another Paradox Weapon, an event of cataclysmic ramifications.
- Mynx's Paradox Weapon materializes as The Possibility Storm, a metaphysical force unusually intertwined with her very essence. Through The Possibility Storm, Mynx possesses a soul in a perpetual state of flux, ceaselessly adapting and reshaping itself in response to any infiltration. Through sheer luck, she perpetually maintains the ideal configuration for any given challenge, thwarting all attempts to breach her defenses. This ethereal metamorphosis encompasses not only her physical form, which readily assumes the cybernetic augmentations required for a given task and intuitively anticipates her needs before she even thinks of it, but also extends to her soul's intrinsic dependencies, altering them to align with the most advantageous course in any given circumstance.
- Similarly, her body and mind frequently micro-shifts, blanking or delaying most abilities that target her by rapidly "removing" the original target and replacing it with a new, identical physical or mental configuration of Mynx. While these evasive maneuvers prove less effective against abilities of universal, unceasing nature, bereft of specific targeting, such as time stop, such abilities will still have to deal with her soul’s resistance normally.
- Improbability Drive
- The Mānas-Vijñāna of a Consortium Traveler represents the incarnation and embodiment of their essence and desires. In the most perilous and dire situations, it awakens as a manifestation of their unique perception of the world. Their soul becomes a beacon of innermost hopes as if their spirit transcends the boundaries of the physical realm, allowing them to navigate the intricacies of reality with extraordinary clarity.
- Mynx's Mānas-Vijñāna takes the form of The Improbability Drive, the transcendent representation of her ego and perfection in all things. Within a localized area, she channels the very concept of doubt and hesitation that exists in all human beings, causing them to fail to act in critical moments. This doubt persists, again and again, as people continuously manage to make the actions most detrimental to themselves in the current moment. Without proper countermeasures, any enemy will be completely incapable of defending themselves, and even mental wards are ineffective given the roundabout nature of the ability.
- The fullest potential of her Empirical of Chance goes on full display within this form, as her luck fully encompasses everything the world has to throw at her. No matter what it is, if there is a chance that it will fail or hesitate, it will do so again and again until the match is over. This ability is only limited by Mynx's own stores of mana, and with high enough supplies, this move can be seen as an instant win against most opponents.
- This form is not easy to maintain, however, and tends to exhaust her after use.
- Soul Grasp
- By infusing a rudimentary incantation with boundless potential, Mynx harnesses a Dominion-branch spell to seize control of an adversary's Oversoul, granting her unrestricted authority to reshape them according to her whims. With her unparalleled skill in arcane manipulation, she employs her profound understanding of magic to reshape their biological and physical composition, redefine their spiritual and mental essence, or even manipulate their arcane aptitude.
- What makes this spell a go-to for Mynx to dispatch minor threats is its interaction with her Empirical of Chance. Leveraging her connection to the Empirical of Chance, she passively navigates opposing defenses with unparalleled finesse, absentmindedly evading arcane barriers and seamlessly aligning her own signature and energetic resonance to stealthily infiltrate even the most formidable souls. Even Empirical users on her level found themselves threatened greatly by this ability until they modified their souls to better resist it.
- However, following her resurrection, the once straightforward spell has incurred exponential costs. Given how she frequently ends up having to fight multiple foes in quick succession, Mynx more commonly opts for cost-effective methods of dispatching her foes, favoring techniques with broader areas of effect.
- Disinformation Campaign
- After the formation of The Final Triumvirate, Rakiel E. Maruher shared his unrivaled expertise in information-altering sorcery with each of his allies, bestowing upon them the formidable capability to manipulate the very fabric of intelligence. With the unlimited potential of comprehension unfolding before them, they took to modifying the very makeup of their Oversouls with irregular, labyrinthine datasets for purposes of misdirection and protection against the omnipotent Bearer of Chains.
- Mynx channels Disinformation Campaign to distort and manipulate any knowledge that poses a threat to her well-being. Initially devised to veil her identity, this potent ability shrouds the fundamental abstractions of her name and likeness with an ever-shifting cacophony of unintelligible information to defy The Bearer of Chain's tracking abilities. Though not attaining the same level of mastery as Rakiel, Mynx has expanded the utility of this artifice to encompass the entirety of her personal knowledge. Rather than shunting attempts outright, Disinformation Campaign adeptly manipulates and disseminates convincingly falsified data, fortified by intricate layers of fabricated metadata. While usually passive, this can be channeled to actively lure opponents into traps with false information.
- Furthermore, this information can be utilized offensively as a means of deriving and processing massive amounts of information about people and objects, as well as enabling Mynx to verify their authenticity and surmount most defenses against analytic sorcery. In combination with Soul Grasp, Mynx can pull apart the entirety of an individual's memories and knowledge, allowing her to quickly learn many of their spells and skills. After her reincarnation, she still remains one of the most defensively proficient information mages alive, though she struggles to intrude on others as easily as she had in the past.
- Consortium Traveler Physiology
- Marked as a Consortium Traveler, Mynx's soul is intrinsically intertwined to the beyond, her connection transcending the boundaries of the known. Her ethereal soul, ascended to a higher echelon of existence, resonates with the touch of the Consortium as a conduit for the profound forces that shape the multiverse. Within her lies a profound affinity for traditional Consortium Traveler abilities, enabling her to traverse the vast expanse of the multiverse, exist within the void of existence and channel that same energy into the physical and metaphysical planes, meld dimensional boundaries, perceive the delicate pulsations of arcane wavelengths echoing across the abyss, and bend the very ideas that make up reality itself.
- Empirical
- As a holder of Empirical power in her first live, Mynx held absolute power over an entire fundamental chain of existence. Where all other abilities exist on a never-ending spectrum, swimming upstream against the raging rapids, the source of her power is the very sky the water comes from. Even on that particular scale, Mynx is an extraordinarily powerful Traveler, wielding a level of defensive potency that makes her near-immortal even to the other First Heralds.
- Adagio
- After her resurrection in Nova Alyph, much of Mynx's monumental was sapped away by the chronic lack of arcane energy in the multiverse, severely limiting Mynx's capabilities. Even then, she is still capable of channeling the highest level of natural Caelum power, existing far above the known states of Aria and Oratorio. She rarely struggles with potency, instead suffering from a lack of mana to take care of all the enemies she often needs to beat.
