I am going to try to be as accurate to the title as possible, so, FIRST ROUND OF THE BOOGALOO
Jack of All Trades mainly focuses on Alsandairs. Alsandairs are superhuman in every sense of the word, their senses are extremely sharp, they can run at speeds pushing relativistic boundaries (at least, most of them do. Also, yeah, Relativity exists.), and they can punch holes in the sky with ease.
Though, they do not hold just physical traits... Well, most of them. But that's a special case. They also hold magic, which manifests as the ability of manipulation.
... Okay if I make this message any longer it's going to clog your wall, so I'm going to just continue in a reply
Manipulation is the art of controlling objects. From Creation to Regeneration to destruction, all of these things are covered under the blanket of "Manipulation"
Manipulation itself is done indiscriminately, as the mana flows through every bit of matter in the object. There is no sort of specialty in one form of magic, as all are accessible because everything is formed from the same sort of ordeal. There aren't fire mages or ice mages, it's just "Mage".
In special cases, people can manipulate the fine details of matter, but that requires they have their senses ludicriously tuned.
Only Jack and Xander, the two characters most prevalent in the main story, are on such a level that they can pull that.
Another thing about magic users is that use their souls, not their minds, to think. Brainpower is limited by the speed of electricity, but souls have the information travel much faster. If you're aware of your soul, you'd just end up using it to think. Your brain would merely carry the signal to your body for the action.
... Of course, they are able to carry the signal fast enough to block Rel attacks, so.... Eh, fiction is fiction.
Magic Users draw their power from their souls, which resides on the Ethereal Plane. A vast, unending land of the Dead made of an incoporeal form of matter, ungoverned by several physical laws, including relativity. Magic Users of a certain level can phase into Ethereal Matter, turning their body into purely Mana in order to go at or surpass the speed of light.
Of course, phasing is dangerous.
Normally, Souls are fused with the physical body, allowing it to be completely untouchable. Of course, when you phase, or when the soul is unbinded via an instantly lethal wound, all you get is a membrane of your own Mana preventing you from being completely oblitherated from existence.
.... Man that's an info dump and I haven't even gotten into the main purpose of Alsandairs existing
Wait I can just link you this and the point gets across quite a bit better. I mean, my prose was complimented by Prom so of course I'm going to abuse it ovo
Though, there are some details I should provide
At the time, neither of them really had the time or memory doping for properly using magic, so they just basically accidentally shot out elemental attacks by instinct.
The knife given to Abban is Bone Steel, basically, Steel is Iron Mixed with Carbon. If you use bones for the carbon, the steel becomes a mystical object, a thing in limbo between physical and Ethereal worlds. This makes it great for stabbing souls.
Also, I'm running a discord Tabletop game on the FC/OC Discord, and this is the info doc. It mostly just covers basic stuff, along with details on the setting.
The game still hasn't properly started, but we have done presessions to check balancing and introduce players to the system. Summaries can be found here.
You too, huh? My dream is to make my series into an anime inspired animated series, but I plan to start it as a webcomic. I'll stop at nothing to achieve that goal. Idgaf how anime protagonist-y that sounds ovo.
She was created as an active parody on my part lol.
That said, my verse, while it doesn't really stick its head into hax, doesn't necessarily lack it. Soul hax is extremely common, mindhax and precog are there, and black holes and spatial manipulation are in the main character's possession by like, the second season.
My verse honestly is pretty neutured in terms of hax, mostly due to one ordeal:
Manipulation only works on physical things.
Meaning, automatically, there's no Time, Space, Gravity or Concept Manipulation or anything of the like.
Not to mention, Hax is mostly useless in my verse because literally anyone who's worth anything can regenerate, meaning you ripping them apart with your fancy dancy super sharp laser Hax sword doesnt mean squat in the long run. It also means a ton of body manipulation based hax don't so squat, as magic users have extreme body control.
Ultimately, there's only one way to get past this, and it's Soul Destruction, which you need to cause an instantly lethal would (read: ripping a hole in their heart and shredding their lungs, exploding their brain, you get the picture) in order to be able to do. And you need to be able to hit them hard enough to get past their mana.
It's less a power system and more a giant "no" to a bunch of ideas
.... Then again, the main strength of Hunter X Hunter is that it just says "no" sometimes, allowing people to fork around with it and bring it to it's best.
But, my fights aren't really very structured. It's mostly just the typical ultra power stuff blows up people punch each other thing more then not, since I don't want to dive into tactics as much when the story I'm trying to tell involves emotion and family more then anything else.
Raw hype and character interactions matter more than fights, tbh. It's something I've realized during my stint of writing. Granted, fights are still freaking awesome. I try to come up with strategy, but it's not as good as brawls.
Like, I'm cramming so much philosophy which I don't want to spoil for anyone that I can't fit anything beyond them hitting each other with weapons and having a fork ton of Regen abuse
Imma actively avoid philosophy. I don't wanna get into things I don't know well. Besides, if I do it wrong, I look terrible. I'm also terrible at foresight for that kind of stuff. If someone else sees something I don't (if Nux Taku or Mother's Basement makes a video on my stuff one day, I'll be in heaven), then that's great, but I won't be doing anything on purpose.
I really look forward to seeing what you do though. I'm gonna live vicariously though you ovo.
The main point of intruge about Xander... And I guess I'm willing to spoil this, he doesn't know anything about Rouge Spirits or the story behind why his family has all it's special stuff.
The reason behind that is that John and Natasha wanted to have another kid, and they didn't want that kid in on this, so, like, 12 years after they had their first son, Jack, they gave birth to Xander, and left him completely in the dark about anything as per the origin of magic and bone steel.
Unfortunately he kinda finds out. That, I am not going to spoil.

I myself don't think that thinking about the world in different ways is really that complicated. Though, I guess I have a ton of experience
Not only is my world view quite warped, but I just... Think alot. It's just something I do. If something seems like it doesn't have a concrete answer at first, I think until I get that answer. Usually I find the meaning I get out of it and move on.
I usually don't dig into the mindsets of characters or settings that much, but I know a ton about topics of thought. I suppose I have an artistic mind, I just see the world in a ton of perceptions and, whenever someone points out a new way to think about something, I hold up that lense to look at the series in.
Like, I initially saw Nier Automata as a pretty cynical mess for no reason with how the opening line is "if there's a God I wanna murder him"
Then Sewa pointed out how it fuels into the theme of futility of Nier Automata, the idea that God is dead and there is no true consistent purpose for anyone anymore.
Now I saw one thing I didn't like as something that fits pretty well with depression and the loss of meaning.

Yeah, tell me more about your main characters.
Well... I used to have way more, with them having a whole 5 kids, but then I realized 3 of 5 had no purpose to existing so I goofed them.
But, the basic idea is that Xander is a normal guy. I once heard YouTube Channel "Just Write" say that a story is like an essay, where you present your idea in the form of a thesis, with an antithesis in mind, represented by hero and villain, not necessarily respectively. At the end of the story, you form synthesis, where you form a conclusion based on both sides. In this sense, Xander is the guy reading the essay with the antithesis, as the protagonist.
Again, I do not want to provide spoilers, but, Xander, as a normal person, carries ideas which I, as an abnormal person, do not carry.
.... This metaphor doesn't work when the contents are something I want to keep a padlock on due to the story being based on two plot twists.
this video made me realize, my magic does indeed have some rules.
Like, for my magic, the limitations are...
You can only manipulate it if it is physical in some regard. You cannot hold something or put your mana into something that simply does not have a form to carry it.
You need a supply of mana to put into the object. More mass, speed, and energy density requires more mana accordingly. You can increase your supply of mana via training your physical body and soul, and you can amplify it via the strength of your memories.
You must understand what you are manipulating, and if you don't fully understand it, you must see it. Of course, that statement only really applies to general elements, in the case of matter, you would absolutely need to see it in order to manipulate those specific atoms. Your understanding of the deep complexities of your body makes regeneration way easier, as you can start from less and less material before resorting to outright creating entirely new tissue to replace your completely obliterated stuff.
No magic can bring you from absolute death. In our terms, no Mid Godly or beyond. If your soul is destroyed, nothing in the entire world will recover it. You can't even try to artificially recreate it.
Xander is naive, believing in something he knows isn't quite right.
But Jack, I've kinda dropped the ball on. But, mayhaps, for his role, he doesn't quite need to be absolutely wrong. Like, he brings up Superman, but, the core of Superman's character is no matter what comes about, he's a good guy, who just wants to save people, even if sometimes, he can't save people, and sometimes, the times are rough. He delves into more physical, tangible conflicts, and, Jack kinda does too. He's not a bad person, but, there are walls... or I suppose, a wall, he can't overcome.
Well.... okay fork it I'm just going to slightly reveal this
Jack is a normal guy who kills people.
That's kinda his character. Of course, not in the fashion of Yoshikage Kira who thinks murder is normal, but rather, he is aware what he does isn't normal, accepts that, and moves on with the day. That's his main gimmick, and what drives the story.
2-C Pokémon upgrades, Digimon does the same, a few people are potentially getting promoted, I'm pestering Dragon with a VSBW rendition of Hamilton where he plays the titular character and I'm Burr, and some lower tier Pokémon getting upgraded as well.
Just saw the Galactus vs BB thread. Galactus profile is absolute shit. Looking at it gives me tears. Lifebringer galactus would have more abilites than entire fate verse combined + 20 more. Although starving galactus is a massive jobber lol
TBH Surfer is very overpowered himself when he's serious, it's nearly impossible to put him down permanently without PIS. Remember I told you how a lot of 3-A can't do anything to Surfer with pis/cis off? Here's an example
The guy trying to absorb him is 3-B, Mephisto (Silver Surfer vol 1 #3)
By the way, one of the guy who was erased from existence was a food spirit named Don Slime, who's inivisible to regular humans (like Shinigami in Bleach). By eating pair people in Toriko can see and interact with souls (just like people in Bleach can see shinigami with enough reaitsu). Don Slime was immortal and he would resurrect infinitely even if his host (for ex. Ichiryuu) died.
I was wondering if Acacia also qualifies for soul manipulation as well? He devours souls and prevents resurrection since the souls are erased completely. However Beerus doesn't have soul manipulation on profile for killing Dr Mashirito either so I'm not sure (that's why I never brought it up for Acacia before).
Also by the way, could NEO (and also Neo-Acacia) could possibly get Astral Projection and resistance to Time Stop since NEO could move freely in the World of Souls? Technically moving in World of Souls would give infinite speed since space-time doesn't exist, but I think the author didn't think about that while drawing the panels, so this is likely just resistance to time stop.
World of Souls is like the otherworld in Dragon Ball except here time doesn't flow, and people can only enter as souls. If you stay too long you lose conciousness, energy, eventually your soul, and then possessed by a food spirit.
Moving in stopped time is legitimate, if you can answer this... Is it explicitly time stopped, as things moving once no longer move, or is it like in DBS and the World of Void? And where is the astral projection bit? It seems simple enough to not question, but I didn't see it.
(Btw, why did you leave again? I kinda miss your judgement and input. Pretty sure you could've become a mod by now.)
Yup it's legitimate time stop (time doesn't exist there at all really), also you can't physically enter world of souls, you have to enter it as a spirit yourself by leaving your body behind. Also you leave behind your body for too long you become possessed by food spirits. By the way, Neo is a food spirit himself, as is Don Slime (in his spirit form, he's also invisible in the spirit form, scan's above).
I miss you too, I would've liked to stick around but my family doctor advised me against doing distracting works since I have track record of goofing around and messing up my studies. Although being a mod sounds nice, thanks for the completment bro :)
Wanna add Astral Projection and Resistance to time stop to Acacia's profile? Also make a vs with him thread against a popular character, let's see how it goes. I might even join for today only, if you want ovo
You should better put the scans on Acacia's profile for justification for the changes. Otherwise some people might rage and call it unfair :P Same happened with Doctor Doom vs Rick Sanchez match, and it got locked to my displeasure ovo
I almost done, here are some key powers: Time Manipulation, Void Manipulation, Existence Erasure, Probability Manipulation, Sealing, Power Mimicry, Power Absorption, Regen (High), Resurrection, Attack Reflection, Astral Projection, Anti Regen
There are other pleb moves like fire, air, acid, light etc manipulation which I will add later.
You can use the source editor to fix the color issue (remove the color codes, such as "span style="font-weight:normal;color:rgb(213,212,212);font-size:14px;" ), I too have it when I copy stuff from one wiki to another. Or is it something else? TBH I am not very fond of the wikia coding lol
Imagine a teleporting sneak attack + existence erasure bite lol. Acacia also has probability manipulation (absorbed from everybody) which was not shown in combat, but he should be able to use Midora and Toriko's Food Luck feats technically. You could mention he can use Food Luck on the vs thread if you wish. There could be a note on his page stating that while Acacia has absorbed everybody's Food Luck, he has not shown it in combat, thus on vs threads it should be mentioned whether he can use Food Luck or not.
You want to see more of Food Luck? It's not just probability manipulation, it can also reverse all kind of misfortune on planetary scale. Even Resurrect dead people and restore their body. Is this Causality Manipulation or Fate Manipulation?
This is Zonge's Food Luck, the one I am talking about
Yeah. Basically, I went through Mewtwo's profile, on my phone no less, and elaborated on his current haxes. I went through Bulbapedia, searching thoroughly on every little detail and followed up on it. And then I added it to the profile if it was new or expanded the profile. Out of the things that actually matter, I was able to get matter manipulation, void manipulation, timespace resistance, mindhax that works on robots, teleportation in which he doesn't need to be present, interaction with nonexistence, etc. As an extra form of masochism, I elaborated on things I didn't need to, like the explanations for his AP, stamina, and intelligence
AS is one of the only few serious character in the series. Vast majority are pure goofballs. One of the few series that's explicitly anti logic. All you need is some willpower, a mecha with drill and badass dialgoues. It would kill non-corporeal gods :P
