Megami No Hāremu (女神のハレム; Goddess Harem) is an original story written by Helios103 that is a parody of harem works for a male audience. In this parody, the protagonist is Mayumi Takahashi, a typical high school girl who is extremely beautiful. However, unlike what female characters are usually shown in harem anime, Mayumi is a pervert with a great deal of lust, despite being reserved, kind, and polite.
The story also works with meta-fiction and meta-language, having plenty of Fourth-Wall breaks making fun of the fact that normally a man having a harem of women is seen as a symbol of masculinity, while a woman with a harem is generally frowned upon. Unlike the other works by Helios103, in this story they didn't care so much about the story, since they already have the formula for the story, just needing to invert the genders of each character's role.
The work is inspired by High School DxD, Sin Nanatsu no Taizai, Shinmai Maou No Testament and Date A Live, being a parody of them.
Overview[]
The story follows the main character Mayumi Takahashi, a Japanese who is in high school and lived her ordinary and normal life until she was attacked by a being of darkness that was a demon, being defended by an angel and, in the midst of battle, a Mysterious young man saved the girl and bit her neck, turning her into a vampire. In reality, the girl was a Messiah sent by the God of the Bible with the intention of using her to destroy the demons and their leader Lucifer, however, she was also a threat to vampires and other monsters, which made the man known as Hayato turn her into a vampire, because he didn't want to kill an innocent girl, but he also didn't want her to eventually destroy him and his family, so he turned her into a vampire for her to be by their side.
Power of Verse[]
The Megami No Hāremu verso has a relatively good amount of levels. For starters, vampires have been shown to be able to casually lift 2 tons and run 100 meters in 3 seconds, also possessing night vision and heightened senses. Besides vampires, the back also has other monsters like Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Undead and Ghosts.
The verse gets really strong when we're introduced to angels and demons, with the demons basically being angels that fell from heaven. The angels are shown to be able to destroy and level entire cities, with their true forms being literally a nuclear warhead, destroying everything around them within a radius of several kilometers. Alphas, who are the progenitors of the monsters of each monster race, are able to annihilate continents and battle mid-level Angels, thus staying at the Multi-Continent level.
The Seraphim, who are the highest level Archangels, are the highest level of an angel, being powerful enough that with their punches they cause explosions equivalent to hypernovas. Lucifer, the main villain of the story is a primordial Seraph who precedes the universe itself and the laws of time-space, being able to wander through the primordial vacuum that existed before the multiverse, being notably an entity of Immeasurable speed, with the same being true of her sibling.
Ultimately, the God-Tiers of the verse are, of course, the Gods. The Gods are Primal Entities that precede the entire universe and created everything that exists, with the most famous of them being the Abrahamic God, Yahweh, who with his wife Asherah, together created the universe, heaven and hell and all their laws. They also created more universes in addition to these, making a total of seven universes. Another primordial goddess that stands out in the narrative is the goddess Tehom, the goddess considers the twin-sister of Yahweh, who was the one who created monsters such as Vampires, being the progenitor of all monsters in Megamiverse. The gods are notably in the Low Multiverse level via powerscaling with Yahweh and Asherah, the creators of the Multiverse and its 7 universes.
The strongest beings in creation are the Gods of Gods, who were the gods who created the first gods, also known as the pre-existing gods. The entities that present themselves as Ben Edlund and Susan Edlund are two primeval entities that created the primordial gods like Yahweh and Asherah. They also created countless other gods, with each creating their own multiverse. It is revealed that there are actually billions of multiverses, each ranging from a few universes to even hundreds of universes, and the shadow of Ben known as Therion is believed to be the ultimate threat to all of the multiverses. With this, the primordial gods Ben and Susan, alongside Therion, are at the Multiverse level.
Cosmology[]
The cosmology of Megamiverse features a vast universe that itself contains several parallel dimensions within it, including Abrahamic Heaven, Hell and Sheol. The Observable Universe which is 93 billion light years in diameter is only a small percentage of the actual size of the universe, known as the Material World, which is 200 times larger than the observable universe, having 18.6 trillion light years in diameter.
However, it is revealed that there are about seven universes created by the God of the Bible which together make up the Omega Multiverse, which was named for being one of the smallest multiverses in existence. There are other multiverses besides the omega multiverse, with some ranging from tens to hundreds of universes, with the Alpha Multiverse containing 200 universes, being the largest multiverse in the Omniverse.
The Omniverse is the set of all things that exist, there being approximately decillions of multiverses within the Omniverse, with each ranging from trillions to quadrillions of light-years in size, while the megaverses (sets of multiverses) range from a few sextillions to undecillions of light-year in size. The Omniverse itself is extraordinarily larger than anything imaginable, boasting a size of 100 quattuordecillion (or 100 x 10⁴⁵) light-years.
Furthermore, there is only one void known as The Empty which is believed to precede the Omniverse and all of existence itself. In that void, it is where Tehom, the goddess of chaos, sleeps, being only an insignificant facet of the goddess Therion, who is the void itself. The Empty is said to be at least ten googolplex light-years.
Finally, above The Empty, there is the Sacred Library, where the character known as the Writer dwells, having an immeasurable amount of books in her library, which in fact, each book is a different fiction, with each one containing its version of the The Empty, from the Omniverse, and from all Megamiverse characters.
