The M203 grenade launcher, often shortened to M203, is an underbarrel grenade launcher, which is a single-shot grenade launcher that is designed to attach to a rifle, using the same rounds as the older M79 break-action grenade launcher. It was designed by the United States Military for the M16 rifle and the M4 as well, though it can be mounted onto the C7, which is the Canadian version of the M16 rifle.
Stand-alone variants of the M203 do exist, along with versions designed especially for other rifles, with this attachment being applied under the barrel, with the launcher trigger being in the rear of the launcher just forward of the rifle magazine. It was implemented into the XNDUIW community in February 2024.
Overview[]
Like with any other toggleable attachment within the XNDUIW community, the player simply presses the G key on their keyboard to fire a grenade. The launcher is a single-shot grenade launcher, meaning the player will need to reload the launcher once the projectile has been shot from the launcher as well. It is designed to be used for close fire support against point and area targets, and the round is designed to break through windows and exploding inside, blowing up doors and producing multiple casualties. It's main purpose is to engage enemies that are inaccessible by direct fire, and a character who is experienced in Weapon Mastery can use it to suppress the enemy based on movement and sight. In addition, it can be used as a crowd control weapon, when equipped with tear gas grenades, and it is classified as an anti-personnel weapon.
The 37mm version became available on the US market in 2017, and are considered a "title 1 firearm" and are not considered "destructive devices" under American law, and these launchers can be sold in the same way as regular firearms on an ATF form (4473).
