Luna
SeikatsuDestined Misfortune

As just a 15 y/o girl, Luna is the only protagonist in Seikatsu: an (almost) fearless girl with a strange addiction to popcorns with butter. Throughout her life, she had been taken as an 'outsider' and a 'danger' because of having something that no one else had: powers beyond what anyone, and even she could understand. Worrying not about it though, she still remained optimistic about her situation on that world, even when she was a bit more overprotected and left out of society because of this. Or at least, that was until the society ceased. The 'God Moon' events happened, and she seemingly was the only known survivor on the entire Earth; of course thanks to her powers. This changed the way Luna saw things, as well as the way she lived.

Things had taken an unexpected turn, from her being pushed out of society to being the only member within that extinct society. It all seemed like her life was going to be scavenge and loot buildings to get resources and learning how to survive, from what the situation looked like... And it was true, but it all wouldn't be just that.

Backstory[]

Everything started at the moment Luna was given birth. It was a peaceful morning on a sunny Friday, and her parents were heading back home after having given birth to Luna herself, who could do nothing but stare around the surroundings at that moment; obviously because she was a baby at the time. They were having a walk back home through the city, when an explosion was heard far up within the skies... And a plane fell off the clouds, violently crashing on a building near of them. This event, of course, caused an even bigger explosion to happen way too near of the family. Everybody nearby of the area started running away for their lives, and so did her parents. Everything at that moment pointed towards it being a plane malfunctioning, since there was no evidence of it being something else... Until suddenly, the skies turned white, and the God Moon awakened for the first time on a different form than its usual one. It seemed to have taken the appearance of an enormous white sphere that could and had eclipsed the entire city just with its sheer size. It limited all of its actions to releasing a piercing sound shockwave to catch the attention of any person walking around there. And while everybody was simply told to not look at it, there was Luna, who couldn't attend to reasons at the time and was essentially a dumb ass, who stared directly at the glowing sphere floating on the sky. And rather than it murdering her off or turning her into some kind of eldritch being, the God Moon simply started whispering stuff on an unknown dialect as the white coat that covered the skies started advancing and eventually made its way inside of her. The child then suddenly started floating around and glowing on an extremely white colour, almost as if she was about to explode into a million pieces. It was being recorded by several television channels all around the world. As she stopped floating and landed back inside of her baby cart, unknowingly to herself and everybody else pretty much, she had achieved supernatural might and an ability beyond any possible reasoning... Thus it wasn't going to be without a cost, even though it could have. The price for such power arrived not a lot after the event: Isolation.

Upon her receiving the power bestowal from the transcendental deity, Luna hopped off the baby cart and started walking... as a baby. She had gained enough strength to do that just as a baby and much more. And even when this was enough of a reason for people to start trying to get her out of the zone as fast as possible, everyone decided to call the military itself upon seeing what the girl had done right after learning how to walk by her own self. The baby quickly ran towards several cars and lifted them on the spot like they weighted nothing, throwing a bunch of them up on the air towards a location that... was oddly extremely near of her own house. She kept running around the city and causing chaos for a few minutes more when the military arrived... and almost failed to stop her as well. They could do nothing but sing her a song to sleep, which was absolutely terrorific seeing how not even a bunch of guys with tanks weren't a match to her strength. Still though, after they managed to make her become asleep, the militars, along with her parents, started thinking of a plan to not let this happen again. They thought about keeping her on a jail on the outsides of the city, but there were two issues with that: She was too young to be on a jail, and she would be able to escape regardless of where she was or of what material it was made. They thought about keeping the girl within the military forces' watch so she couldn't really do anything that could put people in danger... Though that wouldn't really work as well knowing how the girl could beat up whatever was thrown at her just as a baby by herself. They even thought of not doing anything and trusting on that she would behave like a normal person... But after a good bit of thinking, they found the key to the solution they were trying to find: Isolation.

For the next 15 years, Luna became permanently locked within her house, not being able to come out for any reason at all and no matter what happened. Her education, beliefs, personality and literally everything else were shaped around the environment she was located at: her house. There was nothing to really worry about on there... as there was really nothing to do other than what her parents told her to do. She got a pretty good education thanks to several teachers who arrived at her home every single day to give her class like any other kid; however, there was a difference between a normal class and what she had been getting throughout her life. There were no classmates to bother her, no bad influences to distract her, or anyone else the teacher could focus on while she was doing someone else, so she obviously started learning a lot faster than the rest and eventually became much, much smarter. Not as much as a genius, but a lot smarter than how much any teenager of her age or on a similar age range was. She also learnt from her parents to stay calm at all times, and thanks to both of them being quite followers of the japanese culture, they dragged Luna into the lifestyle they usually had, which oddly helpt her a lot on the process of acquiring extreme amounts of tranquility. That's also why she usually wears a kimono as her clothing and why she obtains a kitsune mask from The Dreamer at the end of the second arc instead of something else. She also had a fair amount of control over her conceptual powers at this time, having destroyed and re-created the concept of time, along with several others such several times across her entire life whenever she went out of her usually calmed status. It seemingly was going to be like that for the rest of her life... Until her adventure suddenly started with the 2nd awakening of the God Moon.

The sphere-shaped shining deity surged from the skies once more, emitting the same bright bang that left the skies completely white 15 years ago... But this time it was way different from before. Instead of just heading towards Luna, the light consumed the planet for a few seconds before disappearing along with the God Moon. This seemingly did nothing... To Luna, because the rest of the entire humanity was shaking their heads in pain, being consumed physically, mentally and spiritually by the remains of that blinding glow the deity had thrown at them. And thus, after a few minutes, everyone but the girl turned into the God Moon's Servants, with her not being capable of stopping their corruption in any shape or way. With these few minutes, Luna only had time to make herself a titanium spear out of the cars she had thrown towards her house 15 years ago, which she would enchant with her conceptual powers and stab her parents with before they turned into mindless zombies controlled by a divinity. On all of this though, there was a problem: there were too many, and they all knew where she lived along with the God Moon itself... So for the rest of her life, she had to play her cards differently and attain one single objective: Survive.

A while after Luna managed to finally defeat and restrain the God Moon from its own powers, she could feel how reality wasn't behaving the same way as it normally would. Not only because she had no one else to fight at all, but because weird events that weren't supposed to happen were actually happening; though it all started right after her final fight with the deity, when a strange figure appeared inside of her dreams. This figure looked oddly familiar even when she hadn't seen it before, almost as if she should actually know who the stranger was. The newcomer asked her questions that she didn't have any answers for on a daily; or better said, nightly basis. Not only that, but when she was awake, which was obviously most of the time, she started seeing how certain stuff warped itself in and out of existence just in front of her eyes; which started to bother her after a while. Luna stayed like that for 2 more weeks, wondering what was happening around her, what were the answers to the questions she had been given, but most importantly, who that strange figure in her dreams actually was... Until one day, she decided to research about the last one.

The next day after those 2 everlasting weeks, she was walking through the lonely streets as she always did, when she saw a sign glowing in the distance; which was in fact about to disappear from the world she was on. As quickly as she could, Luna ran towards the sign and held on to it as both the object and the girl vanished out of the world. Next thing Luna could see was a white void with an invisible floor she could step on, and yet another figure walking on the distance towards her. Out of self-defense, she grabbed her absolute lance tightly and dashed towards the figure, throwing a blow with the titanium weapon that didn't even stand a chance to land because of the differences in speed. The stranger quickly revealed himself to be the same stranger that had been asking questions on the girl's dreams. After a quite long conversation, the guy, also known as The Dreamer by himself and now Luna, stated that the questions he asked to her had no answer at all, and were only a bait to bring her to his world. The reason of why? He wanted to thank her for defeating the God Moon, as the deity was only causing problems both to the dream realm and to all dreams themselves at the same time by merely existing.

From there, both of them became good friends who spent their free time together talking and walking through both the real world and the dreamspace. They didn't have much in common, but they both learnt from the other. One day, while they were talking within the white void of the dreamspace, the dreamer asked the girl if she wanted to see something never seen before, a request that she accepted out of curiosity and interest. The moment after she answered and accepted his proposal, the infinitely-sized white void that composed the dreamer's land warped itself into a random scenario that Luna had seen before: her house. Something was wrong though, as there was more people there than her. That was actually because it wasn't her actual house, but a manifestation of a dream she had dreamt previously. From that moment, Luna and the dreamer started visiting more of her dreams one day after the other, something that allowed Luna to show her emotions to someone else for once on her entire life. That was, until one dream turned out to not be a dream at all.

This "dream" resided on Luna's mind, exactly where her dreams are made, though this wasn't exactly a dream. This was a manifestation of the God Moon located deep within her mind and that no one knew about, not even herself. It wasn't the source to her powers, but rather a mental parasite that was feeding itself up thanks to Luna's newly shown emotions; this parasite would turn out to help Luna later on, though the dreamer believed that it was bad. He thought he had to do something about it, or else it'd kill his only friend. Though this parasite reacted to his presence, and someone made its way into his mind with a sonic wave; the same that mutated almost all of humanity and that Luna managed to withstand. However, the dreamer didn't mutate at all. Instead, he went crazy, and started attacking the only friend he ever had.

Thanks to the mythical mask given to her upon the death of The Dreamer, Luna started seeing things in a different way than before. Quite literally, because thanks to it she could see the physical manifestations of ghosts that used to live in people's dreams, with some even being people from dreams themselves. This meant she wasn't alone anymore, at the cost of having lost the only person that she had ever been friends with. It wasn't that bad though; at least the mask reminded her of him... And had the dreamer's soul inside of it, which was the only reason as to why the girl could use his reality and dream-bending powers in the first place. Her life had become slightly more boring again, but with a twist: this time, she could see the wonders and beauty of the lonely world that surrounded her, as much of a joke as this sounds. She actually liked her situation, how she was truly free and able to do whatever she wanted to do without any restrictions. This was her life, and she had complete control over it. Well, for her remaining time alive.

Another stranger zoomed in from space out of the blue, with his landing caused a shockwave that destroyed every single building on a one hundred kilometer radius of himself. This being walked towards Luna, and introduced itself as "Masanori, the Masked Reaper" to later reveal this person... well, entity, was Death itself. Upon knowing this, both of them started a very long conversation that could be basically summarized in Luna asking Death why they were here. She asked questions as to who there was left to bring to heaven, why exactly they wanted to talk to her out of all lifeforms in the universe, and even told them that she had already defeated The God Moon and The Dreamer so there was no threat to worry about. But there was one. It was Luna herself; or rather, Luna's powers, though she didn't know this was the reason... But how did she get to know it was her the one who had to be killed now? Well, it was thanks to the only answer Masanori gave to all of her questions and information:

"Death arrives to knock at your door."

Ultimately, she ended up giving her own life away in her last struggle for survival.

Appearance[]

For being someone who has been excluded off society for her entire life, Luna doesn't look that bad physically. Standing at the monumental height of 5'2", her clothing resembles the ones of a japenese culture, rather than the ones of the american culture she was born at. She likes to wear a white japanese kimono with pink-coloured flowers only with their outlines drawn rather than with their pink colour filling them entirely, which gives people the sensation that she is not dangerous but a rather calm person instead by just looking at her clothing, even when literally everybody believes the opposite about her. In addition, she owns a little purple & white flower, which she utilizes as an accesory for her long, white hair. Talking about her hair though, its pure white colour makes it feel as if there was snow covering it, even more with its long length making it seem like it is the snow itself. They fit her facial characteristics perfectly, which is rare yet incredible to see: her light skin colour makes her long hair to seem even more brilliant than it actually is, and about her eyes... That's a completely different story. These dark blue eyes comparable to the sky on a starry night could make anyone fall in love with them, even more when they complement her appearance completely. It's a shame that a person like this has to suffer her own fate.

Personality[]

Luna is... One of a kind when it comes to her behaviour. Even when having been forcefully dragged out of society for pretty much almost her entire life, she has gotten an incredibly good education that not much people could compare to, both when it comes to actual intellectual education, and manners as well. She isn't someone who gets stressed easily, or who tends to get angry often. She isn't too serious to the point of seeming like she has no feelings, or depressing as of being sad at every single moment of her very existence. But neither she is an overconfident person, or an hyperactive one. She isn't someone who is happy even when they shouldn't, nor someone who is extremely ignorant and calm.

Luna seems to have reached a peak of emotional stability that no one else has, a zen that was believed to be impossible. This was, in part, thanks to not having to follow any social standards and therefore having freedom over her actions and over what she could and couldn't be. Her intellectual education also helpt this greatly. Since she had her parents teaching her about what she did and didn't need to know, there wasn't stress caused by homework, exams or bad grades, nor classmates to slow her pace down. And even though this was good, she could sometimes feel lonely because of this, looking at the windows of her house and seeing all of those kids hanging out. I mean, her parents were the only people she really knew, so it was comprehensible. Regardless of this, she only gave that kind of stuff a little bit of importance, just enough to not get worried about it.

Overtime, through the entirety of the second arc known as "A Dreamer's Wonders", Luna starts to experiment with different dreams alongside The Dreamer itself, something that changes her way of seeing things entirely. Visiting such a massive amount of dreams woke up interest within her soul, which bloomed up into more interest and a feeling of genuine happiness whenever she felt like she was entertained. Along her first positive emotion though, a negative one arrived: Boredom, which she was able to feel whenever she wasn't doing anything productive or fun. As time went on, she kept learning from emotions thanks to the dreams she had visited and her past life memories. More feelings kept awakening within the depths of her heart... Until one day, that zen she had reached thanks to those 15 years of emotional numbness was almost gone. The only thing she was virtually uncapable of feeling was stress; after all, there was nothing that could stress her out there, as there really wasn't anything to do that could cause such feeling to awaken within her.

From there, she was almost a new person. She didn't see her life as something depressing and dark, but on the opposite, as a gift. The tranquility of being alone at all times didn't have a price for her. The entire planet was there for her to explore, and even without other people in it, she could still visit places she normally wouldn't have been able to. Luna was no longer calm in personality, but a bit too joyful about the world she was forced to live within... Almost as if she liked her fate. Oh wait, she does like it.

Attack Potency: Small Building level (On a test taken long before the God Moon events, her punches were stated to be comparable to the strongest explosion a rocket launcher could produce. This statement was later on confirmed to be true on the start of the God Moon arc, in which she generated an amount of kinetic force enough to punch an entire house into ruins), Low Multiverse level with Reality Warping (2 universes. Can operate within the real world as she can within her own dreams and the dreamspace, being capable of altering every instance of anything within the universe to whatever she wishes for it to be); can bypass durability with her Absolute Lance and Law of Freedom | Universe level+ (Equal in strength to The Dreamer who shook the entirety of the dreamspace with his power: a physically infinite realm that operates outside of the main universe's timeline within the same "grid slot", which he also created), Low Multiverse level with Reality Warping (Empowered by her Dreamspace state, her magic distorting reality itself barely managed to stop the outburst of energy caused by The Dreamspace's shattering, which consumed the latter's timeline and was about to consume the main universe's); can bypass durability with her Absolute Lance and Law of Freedom | Low Multiverse level (2 universes. Luna's soul, mind and body merged and absorbed the full power of the universe all the events took place on, including both the main universe and the dreamspace itself; was capable of temporarily keeping up with Masanori before becoming overwhelmed and stripped off her transformation); can bypass durability with her Absolute Lance, Law of Freedom and Soulburn.

Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Caps at 77.7 km/s, enough to run through the entirety of the USA in a minute), with FTL reaction speeds (Capable of barely reacting and moving out of the way of light-based attacks) | Infinite, possibly Immeasurable (Kept up with The Dreamer in combat and later outran the inminent outburst caused thanks to his death by reaching the end of The Dreamspace as it was shattering, phasing back to the main universe and running straight to the end of time which was about to be consumed into nothingness as well) | Immeasurable (Should be at least as fast as her Dreamspace state. Kept up with Death in battle).

Lifting Strength: At least Class 10 (Can wield her own Absolute Lance, which is made out of 2 cubic meters of titanium, thus weighting 9080 kgs) | Unknown | Unknown.

Striking Strength: Small Building Class | Universal+ | Low Multiversal.

Durability: Small Building level (Can resist attacks from several God Moon Servants at the same time, with each one of them scalling to her own attack potency in terms of raw strength) | Universe level+ (Could take blows from The Dreamer, who shook the entirety of the dreamspace with his power: a physically infinite realm that operates within the main universe's timeline) | Low Multiversal+ (Capable of tanking through Death itself's attacks, who's strength is comparable to Luna herself's yet he couldn't knock her out regardless of how hard he tried).

Stamina: Extremely High (Ever since the start of the God Moon events, Luna has had to endlessly fight and search resources for hours without taking rest, sometimes even to the point of not sleeping at all during that day) | Infinite (Doesn't have the need to rest as her Dreamspace form operates with endless energy from a world of dreams) | Infinite.

Range: Standard Melee Range physically, Extended Melee Range with her Absolute Lance, Hundreds of meters with shockwaves, Low Multiversal with Reality Warping (Can manipulate the dreamspace and the real world at the same time) | Standard Melee Range physically, Extended Melee Range with her Absolute Lance, Hundreds of meters with shockwaves, Low Multiversal with Reality Warping | Standard Melee Range physically, Extended Melee Range with her Absolute Lance, Universal+ with shockwaves, Low Multiversal with Reality Warping.

Standard Equipment: A conceptual spear designed to be the "Absolute Weapon" and the Dreamer's Spirit (Kitsune Mask) | A conceptual spear designed to be the "Absolute Weapon" and the Dreamer's Spirit (Kitsune Mask) | A conceptual spear designed to be the "Absolute Weapon" and the Dreamer's Spirit (Kitsune Mask).

Intelligence: Above Average (Luna has shown to be able of understanding things and executing actions that not much people could have done, yet she has never gotten to be smarter due to complications in her personal life caused by her own powers. Over the course of the series she also learns how to survive in the desolated world she lives in).

Weaknesses: Her law works on a melee range, meaning she has to touch something to use it on that something. She possesses no kind of ranged attacking methods other than the wind shockwaves generated by her own punches. Her entire power and even her own law can be nullified simply by possessing a resistance to conceptual manipulation. Has little knowledge about concepts, meaning she can't exploit the full use of her conceptual manipulation | Only is able to use this form indefinitely in the Dreamspace; if she someone is dragged out of it, her form will wear out in 30 minutes | Doesn't have much experience on this form, which makes it so she can be overwhelmed rather easily by more skilled opponents.

Notable Attacks and Techniques[]

Absolute Lance: An enormous lance made out of 2 cubic meters of pure titanium, enchanted with Luna's conceptual manipulation, and thus given the characteristic of being the "Absolute Weapon". This has a few interesting effects, such as the weapon being able to bypass durability, the ability to negate resistances upon contact with an enemy, and even the capability of ripping off space-time itself by just swinging it with enough strength. This morphs into a scythe when using her God Moon Reaver form.

  • Dimensional Rift creation: The capability of Luna's Absolute Lance to rip off space-time by swinging her weapon with enough strength. Upon at least two of them having been open, they will act as wormholes that give Luna the ability to travel from one rift to the other one.

Dreamer's Spirit: The abstract representation of the former dreamer's consciousness within Luna, represented as a kitsune mask; the same one she wears on the picture shown about her. This mask's passive and active effect is the same: the ability to bypass the boundary between the real world and the dreamspace; however the difference between them is that upon wearing the kitsune mask, Luna can see the embodiments of different dreams flowing around the real world. From there, she can approach said embodiments and ask them about stuff in order to gain information. This ability is later on improved with the effect of seeing and interacting with things that don't exist.

Windblower: Thanks to her increased strength, Luna can generate shockwaves of pure wind that give her an increased attack range. The damage they deal is akin to the one Luna can deal within a single punch to her opponents, and due to being simply compressed air pushed from her hands, they are very versatile and can be used in a great variety of ways.

  • Sonic Bomb: Luna can pick up an object on the floor, as a rock for example, to throw it at the opponent. Thanks to her increased strength, this rock accelerates at incredible speeds towards wherever she launched it at, bringing a ball of compressed air surrounding it. This easy but effective strategy makes up for a good source of ranged attacking that doesn't require of punching the air at all times.
  • Tempest Axe: Luna can send a massive, vertical wind wave towards her opponent by simply launching an axe kick to the air. Upon its release, this attack will have a massive vertical range but nearly no horizontal range, which means it is not that hard to dodge.
  • Reverberance: Luna can strike a t-pose and start spinning at fast as she can go. When she has a few seconds of doing this, a tornado will form around herself and surround her body. Whoever or whatever enters this tornado will either be flinged away nearly instantly or be struck by the sub-relativistic rotational force of Luna's body spinning at her full speed.
    • Shattered Skies: If Luna gets the opportunity to do so, she can start spinning at her full speed way up into the sky, approximatedly a hundred meters up or so, to generate a tornado around herself. However, this tornado does not have a base to stand on so it behaves differently. Instead of being just limited to physical interaction, she can gradually slow down her rotation to shoot all of the compressed air she has accumulated into a wind rain.

  • Conceptual Manipulation: Luna is capable of manipulating the conceptual content of whatever she touches, whether it be a person, object or anything else; by creating, modifying or destroying said content. Thanks to this she was able to modify the concept of her own weapon.
    • Law of Freedom: Luna's characteristic magical ability which allows her to erase whoever she touches just by erasing all of their concepts, bypassing stuff such as durability or most types of immortality.
  • Dreamspace Operation: Luna can warp reality to open a gate between the real world and the dreamspace, from which she can essentially turn her dreams into reality as long as those materializations of her dreams aren't stronger than her and her magic. She can also operate within the real world as she would be able to operate the world inside her dreams; meaning she has complete control over the reality that surrounds her on a multi-universal scale at most. Dreamspace Operation is mostly passive as Luna's presence already warps reality itself on her favour without her interference when a gate is opened.
  • Soulburn: A magical ability exclusive only to Luna's "Phantom" form which consists on using her dreams to cause nightmares to her opponents. She can shoot magical blasts that will start to combust within the adversary's soul within contact, fueling her drive for battling as it fuels the opponent's nightmares and slowly burns away their soul, bypassing their durability in the process.
