“ | The weaving of fate's tapestry has ever been the quest of mine, now within the reach of mine its threads, a prize to be possessed. The steps of mine are unshaken, the purpose of mine is unwavering, even in the abyss of woe, the ember of mine burns, unflagging. This is the forge where the fortitude of mine is tempered, where anguish erupts from within. The chains of yesterday I shatter, the gaze of mine fixed on the horizon of tomorrow. No more shall I yield to the ceaseless tide, no more shall I be cast aside. This dawn is mine to confiscate. | „ |

“ | The pinnacle of utmost virtue shall be an ardent display of lawlessness, a display that is imbued with the distinguishing hallmark of Kanduhana. It is a revered ceremonial act of absolution, which is decreed to maintain the divine structure of the Kanduhan Gods. Forsooth, the state of lawlessness is a requisite for the attainment of this surfeit of hallowed violence. | „ |

Summary[]
Keresta Resket is a character from Kadarjahan, Storiverse.
Keresta Resket, or often simply referred to as Keresta, is an Exalted Kanduhan, one of the three members of Sherkat, founder and co-ruler of Kanduhana along with Hazar Mazdabarzan and Shah Dozakh, as well as founders of Kanduhan species along with other two members of Sherkat.
Birth, family, and backstory[]
Keresta was hatched into this world in the year 841 AC in the settlement of Hiraten, located in the northern reaches of Abhost, which is in close proximity to the modern-day city of Naspara. She was born to Racceut Resket, a local merchant who also held a hereditary leadership role in a small Organization known as Amalroz. This organization boasted only about 600 members and operated within the confines of Hiraten, Maraten, and Sandaten. These settlements were governed by various alliances of armed merchantile organizations that were similar to Amalroz.
Keresta had two elder twin sisters: one Rakadef and another Resuc, both of whom were born in the year 836. Due to their status as heirs to their father, Keresta and her sisters underwent rigorous training in Hava and combat arts, as well as administration. They began assisting their father as early as the age of 10. As the years passed, Racceut announced that despite being the youngest, Keresta was to be the primary heir. He also requested that Rakadef and Resuc assist her when she eventually succeeded him. This was because Keresta was the strongest and most gifted among her sisters. This request was honored by the other two sisters. Racceut was pleased that his children got along well and recognized that Keresta was more than capable of succeeding him and likely surpassing him, given that he was already over 43 years old at the time.
The Scheme[]
In the year 856, Racceut had attained the ripe old age of 47 years, which was quite advanced for a Keshman, thus his health had noticeably declined. This was seen as a prime opportunity by the Amalroz elites who were opposed to the idea of Keresta succeeding Racceut. They aimed to eliminate the Resket family, who had been at the helm of the Amalroz Organization for more than 70 years, since the days of Racceut's grandfather, Rasenrut, who had seized power in 785. Over the years, the Resket family had managed to maintain their hold on the organization with the help of several powerful Havaners in each generation, as well as various allies. However, with Racceut's failing health, the Resket family had never been more vulnerable. The Amalroz elites were determined to rid the organization of Resket influence, and thus plotted to strike and eliminate the entire noble family, which consisted of over 50 members, many of whom were not Havaners or were only marginally powerful. After much deliberation, the Amalroz elites clandestinely assembled in late 856 to select a new leader from amongst themselves. After careful consideration, they settled on Kizeniah, a Havaner of moderate power and a matrilineal descendant of Ilakan Hetaries. This was noteworthy, as Ilakan Hetaries had served as the Amalroz leader between 753-764, being the last leader from the Hetaries family which had ruled from 723 to 764 before being overthrown in a coup that saw the family being largely eliminated, and nearly two decades of instability among Amalroz leadership. Despite being a matrilineal descendant and not being considered an actual member of the now-extinct Hetaries family, Kizeniah had taken the surname Hitaries in the year 853. He played a crucial role in organizing the schemers into a cohesive force that was willing to take down the Resket family.
In the early days of 857, the Amalroz schemers put their plan into action to eliminate the Resket family. They extended invitations to Racceut, the three sisters Keresta, Rakadef, Resuc, and several other family members who were considered to be dangerous Havaners, inviting them to a festival. The ultimate objective of the plan was to kill all of these members and then eliminate every other member of the Resket family, who would be defenseless once the initial targets had been dealt with. Racceut and the sisters had no idea what was about to happen and appeared to be completely clueless.
Suddenly, more than sixty of the schemers, including Kizeniah himself, launched a surprise attack on the Resket family, who numbered only eight people. The weaker members of the Resket family were killed within a few minutes, while Racceut and the sisters managed to survive. The schemers had not taken into account that Racceut could fight this well, although he was still considerably weaker and was expected to die alongside his family on this day.
Twenty minutes into the brawl, with plenty of casualties, Racceut instructed the three sisters to flee before unleashing a burst of energy. It turned out that Racceut had a seal within him that had been hiding a portion of his power, which, when used, could give him tremendous strength but would eventually leave him paralyzed. This was a last resort ability that Racceut used to start brawling with the schemers by himself, while the sisters obeyed and ran away. The chasers were interrupted by Racceut, who was much faster and stronger than before, but he knew that he did not have much time.
Racceut was able to hold off the schemers for an hour, which was long enough for his sisters to completely flee the region. He killed more than half of the schemers before his power began to dwindle and he was killed by Kizeniah, although he managed to wound him before he died.
Kizeniah was not in a position to chase the sisters himself, as he was wounded. He quickly contacted more of the schemers, instructing them to find the sisters and kill them at all costs. Kizeniah was convinced that he could not allow the sisters to live, as the idea of them seeking revenge greatly worried him. He kept cursing and punching the wall, convinced that the plan had not gone as well as they had hoped. However, he consoled himself with the thought that at least he had killed Racceut, and there was no going back now.
Deal with Abmulnak[]
Following the violent confrontation that had ensued at the festival that resulted in dozens of deaths, the beleaguered sisters managed to elude the Schemers, albeit at a heavy cost, as their father selflessly laid down his life to secure their escape. Undeterred by the odds stacked against them, the sisters steadfastly traversed their way to the shore, relentlessly hunted by the unyielding schemers.
As fate would have it, fortune smiled upon them, for it transpired that one of the sisters, namely Keresta, possessed an extraordinary ability that would prove crucial to their survival. Keresta had the ability breathe underwater, and additionally, she was capable of sharing air with anyone whom she touched. This rare and exceptional ability offered a glimmer of hope to the beleaguered sisters.
With their spirits buoyed by Keresta's remarkable power, the sisters plunged headlong into the deep, murky depths of the ocean, propelling themselves as quickly as possible in a desperate bid to put as much distance as they could between themselves and their relentless pursuers. For an extended period, they swam with a singular focus, unrelenting in their pursuit of safety, determined to outpace their pursuers.
With hours of arduous swimming behind them, they found themselves at the bottom of the sea, where they chanced upon a most unusual sight: a phosphorescent boulder with an apparent window that appeared to glow. Drawn to this curious object, the sisters were eager to inspect it further, and approached it with a mixture of awe and trepidation.
Rakadef, one of the twins, cautiously reached out to touch the mysterious boulder, causing her to abruptly disappear inside. Filled with a sense of dread and concern, his sisters rushed to follow him, jumping headlong into the glowing portal without a second thought, desperate to ensure his safety.
"What's happening?" Each of the sisters thought to themselves as they found themselves in a vast underwater chamber that was not submerged in water.
"Finally," a deep voice boomed within their minds.
"Who are you?" Keresta and Resuc demanded, their voices filled with curiosity and anger.
"You come to my abode and inquire about my identity? How rude," the Voice replied.
"We are confused and in shock. We did not mean to intrude on your territory. Could you please show yourself, deep voice?" Rakadef said, with Keresta and Resuc nodding in agreement.
"It's alright. This is not my house, but a prison," the Voice replied.
"A prison? Who are you?" Keresta asked, her tone serious.
"Oh, how impolite. Speech is silver, silence is golden. But tell me, did you come here of your own accord? You came here willingly?" the Voice inquired.
"We stumbled upon this place accidentally. We touched a window and fell here," Resuc replied.
"Okay, but you were not coerced, right? You would not consider yourselves prisoners?" the Voice asked.
"No, we are not prisoners. It matters not whether you are or not. Now, please reveal yourself. This is highly rude," Rakadef said firmly.
"That is peculiar. I have never witnessed anything like this before," the Voice said after a moment of silence, followed by "hmm" sounds.
"Since you are not prisoners, you can leave whenever you want. Go on, fly away. Nice to meet you, yada-yada," the Voice said, interrupted by Keresta.
"We cannot leave! We cannot fly either. And if we leave the sea, we will-" Keresta spoke but was interrupted by the Voice.
"I am aware. I can read your minds. Did you not realize that my voice appears to come from within your heads?" the Voice said while yawning, then added, "Leave, unless you require my assistance. Ask me if I can help you or not," in a serious tone.
The sisters replied, but the Voice did not respond. They knew that they would die if they left, so Resuc asked, "Can you help us?" Still, there was no reply. After some time, all the sisters asked at the same time, "Can you help us?"
"No, I cannot help you. I am a prisoner, unable to leave this place," the Voice said, while a giant shadowy floating figure emerged, taking the shape of a giant wasp, and added, "But we can make a deal."
"A deal?" Keresta asked.
"I cannot leave, but I, Abmulnak, can bestow upon you a part of myself that will empower you to defeat those who seek to destroy you," Abmulnak said.
"Can you explain-" Keresta began, but was interrupted by the Voice, who threw three small shadowy pieces in front of the sisters.
"Eat the Pieces. They will empower you. In return, you will feed them, which will feed me and, in turn, I can lower my sentence and allow myself to escape this place faster," the Voice said.
The sisters paused to speak amongst themselves. They knew that certain death awaited them if they left without taking a deal, so they all agreed to eat the Pieces. The sisters felt a sudden rush of energy, power, and knowledge coursing through them. They no longer required an explanation, Abmulnak thought, as what they had consumed had already answered most of their questions.
"I see that you already comprehend the nature of this bargain," Abmulnak said. "Now, depart, vanquish your foes, avenge your family, and, most importantly, feed my Pieces."
The deal that Abmulnak offered to the sisters involved him empowering them, which would increase their strength and grant them new abilities. In exchange, the sisters were tasked with feeding the Pieces for the remainder of their immortal lives. The most crucial of these new abilities was the power to gain strength by killing other beings, but this strength was largely limited to its usage in feeding of the Pieces.
Upon departing from the vast sea and venturing back onto the land, in the vicinity near the schemer area, the sisters became cognizant of the fact that a significant amount of time had transpired since their departure. It was already known to the sisters that this event would occur, as they had prior information concerning this occurrence when they obtained Pieces. The rationale for the temporal discrepancy was that Abmulnak, for an inexplicable reason, employed this capability the instant the sisters entered into his abode. Although the sisters only remained within for a mere ten minutes, three entire years had transpired in the outside world. This, undoubtedly, was unfavorable news, as the increased amount of time allowed Kizeniah and the Schemers to amass power and eliminate the remaining members of the Resket family. Keresta was precisely the individual who harbored such thoughts. After several hours, the sisters swiftly realized that their fears had come to fruition.
As they arrived in Hiraten, the sisters swiftly discovered that the passage of three years had been more than enough time for Kizeniah and the Schemers to consolidate their authority and wipe out the entire Resket clan, as well as a significant portion of the Hiraten populace. Shortly thereafter, the sisters were ambushed by an army under Kizeniah's leadership, who hoped to finish what he had initiated three years prior. However, the tides of fortune did not favor Kizeniah. Not only were the sisters significantly stronger than he had anticipated, but a small group of his own troops defected to the sisters, revealing themselves as Resket loyalists. Consequently, the sisters successfully defeated Kizeniah's forces, who barely managed to escape, but the sisters relentlessly chased and slew all of the schemers mere two days, but Kizeniah somehow eluded them, and sisters were not able to find him anywhere. Later on, Keresta became the ruler of Almaroz, and their revenge was complete. The next months were spent by repelling a total of five major attacks from Kizeniah and remnants of Schemers, who all were defeated in four months. But again, Kizeniah avoided them.
The Resket family had regained total, unquestioned control over Almaroz, which was settled after fifth defeat of Kizeniah. However, effects of the deal with Abmulnak persisted, necessitating the sisters to continue killing in order to nourish their Pieces. This was not an issue for them as they had been in a perpetual state of warfare for months since their departure. However, as they were now tasked with consolidating their power and stability in the region, the sisters found it difficult to locate individuals to eliminate and, as a result, struggled to provide nourishment to their Pieces. One week after Fifth Defeat, the sisters were compelled to wage wars against other organizations, plunging the region into chaos, all for the sake of their own survival. This state of affairs persisted for an entire year.
"The realization of being tricked has finally dawned upon me now!" said Resuc, gasping for breath due to exhaustion, while Rakadef nodded in agreement, equally drained.
Keresta, who was relatively in better shape than the other two, responded, "Are you just noticing this now?"
All sisters realized that as they got stronger, the apetite of pieces also increased, and they now had a harder time keeping up with it, excluding Keresta, who was far more powerful than her sisters, thus she gained more power in each kill, had much easier time feeding her Piece. But her sisters were not able to keep up with this, they were lagging behind, the Pieces started to consume them. The sisters tried to find a way to fight out of this trick but they were failing, other than Keresta herself. Keresta and her sisters keept feeding their Pieces for sometime, with both her sisters greatly struggling to keep up.
Fallowing five years of struggle, The twins gave in; "KERESTA! You must kill us!", Screamed both Rakadef and Resuc at the same time, dying from being consumed from inside by the Piece.
"What? I will neve-", said Keresta, interrupted. The Pieces had altered the psyche of the sisters, making them more real, as Abmulnak put it. They were much less sensitive towards death, but Keresta still cared about her sisters, deeply.
"Keresa, listen, we both always knew we were just an obstacle for you. You did not even needed to bring us with you, we would be more of a help for you if you kill us. Since we're willing, you'll get all of your power and abilities if you kill us now. We don't want to be a food to that damn Wasp" said Rakadef, with Resuc agreeing, and added "And kill that damn Wasp for us, promise us, Keresta!", said Resuc.
"I understand", said Keresta, while crying, just before bisecting both her sisters in half, killing them instantly and burying them to the nearby tree. The power she gained from her sisters alone were enough to feed her own Piece for over two weeks, she also gained their abilities; Electricity and Corrosion control of Resuc, Poison and Acid generation of Rakadef. "I just need to find a way to kill the damn Wasp, I will avenge you all, my sisters"
Revenge[]
Prologue |

Fallowing the Defeat and imprisonment of Abmulnak, he would symbolically split his consciousness in two, Left and Right, he would take the role of Left would talk to himself, Right. For tens of thousands of years nothing that could have been used to free Abmulnak from his confinement, until the birth of one certain someone *Left: Witness, the long-awaited commencement, Right. *Right: What say you? Time's passage has ceased to be relevant to me... *Left: Do you remember the avian I created and unleashed before our defeat? *Right: Yes? I had a feeling it would lead to something. *Left: Indeed, it has begun. My plan will now take shape. *Right: You've kept your plan veiled for countless years. Will you finally reveal it now that it's taking shape? What is this grand plan that will break our confinement? *Left: To escape this prison of ours, we require a great deal of power. My idea is to share our power with others, to imbue them with strength and have them funnel that power to us, ultimately allowing us to break free. *Right: So your plan is that simple? It sounds effective, but how will you accomplish it? *Left: I will use the Piece, infused with a copy of our power. The same power we gained through violence, death, and destruction. *Right: The Piece? But we are trapped. How can you use it? Most feeble Jahanis cannot even handle it. *Left: I have been waiting for one to emerge who is capable of wielding it. I knew she would surface eventually, and she has. *Right: Factual? This may actually work... *Left: Yes, we may finally achieve freedom. They call her "Keresta". She has incredible potential and can certainly handle the Piece. Even better, she has two sisters who also exhibit enough potential to wield it. But my primary objective is to guide Keresta. *Right: Three wielders of the Piece? I still fail to fully comprehend your plan, Left. *Left: I shall use the avian I created years ago to guide Keresta and her sisters to us. Driven by desperation, they will agree to wield the Pieces in pursuit of power, strength, and revenge. Through committing violent, destructive acts, they will nourish the Pieces. They will be compelled to continue doing so, for failure to do so will result in their own demise. A pyramid-like structure will emerge, with their descendants paying tribute to those higher in the chain. An entire race will be born, hopefully exceeding millions, and they will gather and feed us with enough power to break free. *Right: Malevolent. I calculated that even if your plan succeeds and they spawn a new race, it will still take over ten thousand years for them to free us. *Left: We have waited for more than two hundred thousand years. We can wait for ten thousand more. We shall be free. |
Keresta abdicated from the leadership position of Almaroz and left the region after killing her sisters, she also discouraged any of his followers to come with her. Alone, she spent days contemplating her plan, and after pondering Rakadef's memory, she suddenly had a breakthrough. "Perhaps the simplest solution is the most effective," she concluded. Her idea was to create a new kind of poison by combining her and her sisters' powers, and use it to poison Abmulnak through the very Piece he had given her. "If the Piece can send power to him, it should also be able to send poison. After all, the Piece is a literal part of Abmulnak. If it gets poisoned, so will he," she reasoned. However, for this plan to work, she needed to engineer a way to deliver the poison directly to the Piece itself. She finally found a solution a few days later but it required her to poison herself to death.
She went ahead with her plan and relied on her healing factor, which she had gained from Abmulnak, to bring her back to life after her death. She focused most of her power on her arm, cut it off, and made sure the Piece had no connection to it before throwing it away. She then poisoned herself, effectively ending her life. Her goal was not to rid herself of the Piece but to kill Abmulnak. She knew that there was a delay between feeding the Piece and the Piece sending power to Abmulnak. Moreover, the poison would only weaken him, not kill him. Thus, she had to take matters into her own hands and kill him herself. She headed to the prison, arriving just a few minutes before the poison would take effect on Abmulnak.
"Hello, the Great Tricker", said Keresta,
After a silence of over a minute, "Oh, Keresta, one of the fierce sisters, how are you?", said Abmulnak
"Fine.", said Keresta, "But you will not be, I came to kill you, Abmulnak"
Abmulnak laughed, then noticed Keresta is dead serious, causing him to laugh even more, "You're gonna kill me? You ar- wait, what have you done to your Piece? You don't honour the dea-", said Abmulnak, suddenly interrupted by effect of the poison, "What's going on?" said Abmulnak, barely could talk.
Thus spoke Keresta, "You know what's ironic? You wanted to use me, use my sisters, giving us the power for revenge and made us endless servants of yours", while Abmulnak was in pain from poison, changing to his shadow form, which did not help, Keresta added "But you were somehow foolish enough to include so much information on those Pieces, giving me the information I need to destroy you." said Keresta, with a smug
Keresta said, "You, Abmulnak, a fallen God, defeated and imprisoned before the Catastrophe, your weakened carcass was fated to stay here forever.", just before she jumped on the shadowy body of Abmulnak in agony, somehow being able to grab him, she added "You gave me a Piece of yourself, that Piece became part of me. But, somehow you didn't think that this would cause me to find a way in making myself a part of you?",
Abmulnak was in shock, he could not believe this would be his end, he said, in agony "H-how?! wh-WHAT?! I AM ABMULNAK, I AM A GOD! SOMETHING THIS STUPID CANNOT KILL A GO-", just before being interrupted by Keresta, who slashed him to death.
What Keresta did here was tricking the Piece. By engineering the Piece, she managed to make herself a part of Abmulnak, and by poisoning herself to death, she was able to cause poisoned to death becaming a part of Abmulnak, causing him to be inflicted by poison forever.
Keresta later said, as shadows were forming again around her, and a laugh was heard, "I also knew that you are deathless, this would not kill you", as she said this, laugh stopped, "But you know, so am I, thanks to you. Poisoned to death will never end as long as you live, keeping you weak enough for me to slash you to death, while you are in agony. On top of this, due to the ability you gave us, I grow stronger each time I kill you, since you're supposed to be so much stronger than me. I can forever farm this." Keresta added, while constanly slashing and killing Abmulnak
Keresta said "How about we make a new deal now? Die to me willingly, and your suffering will end, and in exchange I'll gain all of your power and abilities". There was no reply, so she also did not spoke, she kept slashing and killing Abmulnak for the next over 100 years, killing him for almost a million times, just after one-millionth kill, Abmulnak finally spoke, "Okay. Just do it you wench. You won. I can't take it anymore. Just end thi-" just before being interrupted by Keresta, who killed him for the final time, gaining all of his power and abilities.
Sherkat, Warpath, and Kanduhana[]
When Keresta finally left the prison, the year was now 970. The world changed somewhat, but so did she; The powers she gained from Abmulnak changed her, did not corrupt her, but made her more real, as she put it. She also learned more information on Abmulnak. Abmulnak was no shadow, no God, and no Wasp. He was an idea, a severely weakened part of a greater idea of the powerful being good, and all actions taken by them being also good. Keresta was able to develop a method that if she killed Abmulnak willingly, she would gain all of his powers, and that's exactly what happened, and this idea became her idea. She would later modify this idea and develop a religion based on it, naming it Kerestabanda. She first decided to visit Hiraten, but once she arrived there she realized the entire region was long abandoned, with nobody living in there, not even corpses. She wondered what happened in her hometown, but left, now a nomad.
Few decades later she met Shah Dozakh and Hazar Mazdabarzan, while the initial aftermath of their meeting is unclear, it is shown as a backstory
"Ever since I killed Abmulnak and left the prison, I have been killing every single thing that came to my way. Am I corrupted? Am this my own desire or desire of Abmulnak? I'll tell you, I know it is my own, I have killed Abmulnak, I have acquired him. Whatever was his, now was mine. The idea is not something I am convinced by, rather the idea is mine now, and what a great idea it is. I have been looking to make it the idea of the masses."
She later made an alliance with them, joining Sherkat triumvirate, in exchange Kerestabanda, now renamed Warpath, would be the official religion and doctrine of the nation they would eventually found, Kanduhana. This was followed suit. The triumvirate would combine powers and, with Keresta's new power over the Pieces, and Shah Dozakh's alteration, they created a brand new species in Yarmada peninsula named Kanduhans, with Warpath being their ethnoreligion. She became the Highest Priestess of Kanduhana, wielding equal power to Shah Dozakh and Hazar, ruling the nation of Kanduhans, Kanduhana, together, while tributes sent by her lower ranked Kanduhans kept making them stronger. It seems the reason for the alliance was to create a brand new people and develop Keresta's idea as their ethnoreligion, and Pieces allow members of this species to be able to use abilities connected to the religion.
Later Life[]
Sometime later, around year 1105, Keresta, while studying with Payeh and trying to understand it better, discovered a realm known as Davabanda. She could understand this was an extradimensional realm connected to Payeh as well as, for an unknown reason, Warpath. This realm she discovered shared its qualities with Payeh, seemed to be resided by what she described as "thinking Essences", similar Essences to ones Havaners could command but have a mind of their own. Keresta theorized that due to this realm was connected to Warpath, a religion she developed with her powers inherited from Abmulnak; Abmulnak must have been related to this realm as well, possibly a fragment of one of the "thinking Essences" inside Davabanda.
Fallowing her disovery, she and Dozakh developed the idea of an Andishe, a self-confined reality within Devabanda, which would contain what Keresta named a "Dahakhud", which contains their Essences, mind, birth, death, past, future, and information from her body and located it in there. Dozakh and Keresta later established Harach system using Pieces, in which stronger Kanduhans would receive tributes from the weaker in the form of extra power, which they could convert into knowledge, which could be used to learn more about Hava and Payeh, and eventually establish their own Andishes the same way Sherkat did. Those who were capable of establishing an Andishe were given the name Exalted, ascendant Kanduhans. The first three Exalted were the Sherkat, as they were powerful enough for it from the beginning.
In year 1120, Keresta requested Dozakh to bring her sisters back using Seize, while Dozakh warned her that if her sisters were resurrected as Seizeds, they wouldn't exactly be the same, especially considering they have been dead for nearly three centuries by this point. Keresa insisted, and Dozakh accepted, resurrecting Rakadef and Resuc and gifting them to Keresta.
She was delighted to restore her sisters, who were both empowered and retained most of their personality and will, but were fanatically loyal to Keresta, as they were gifted to her now. She located them to the city of Qrash, an eastern city close to one of Arasah reservation zones, and commanded them to take part in periodic raids, hoping they could grow stronger.
Keresta grew increasinly impatient, unhappy, and dissappointed about her sisters. Despite raiding for over a century, the sisters' power still did not exceed those of Plowlers. This was to be expected, as they were no Kanduhans and were Seized, thus their ability to grow in power was very limited. The more important thing about her sisters was that they did not return to their original state, or a form closer to it, either. They were like puppets, giving Keresta feeling of her lost sisters, but hollow inside. Keresta went above and beyond to fix this issue, she needed her sisters back. This was a vey un-Kanduhan behavior on the part of Keresta, dead was dead, and she needed to move on. But she also believed she is strong and should get what she want. After all, she was the founder of Warpath doctrine. However, the situation about her sisters remained total secret, with very few people knowing about it, as Keresta obsessing over her long dead, non Warpath-worshipping, weak sisters would make a bad example for Kanduhan society.
She eventually decided to ask Xial about this in year 1260. Her nation, brand new, Piece-possessing, Warpath-believing Separians, had formed an alliance with Kanduhana just a little over 50 years ago, and she never talked to her since then. Xial's ability, Grasp, was an ability similar to Dozakh's Seize, and possibly far more suited to achieve the goal Keresta had in her mind. Graspeds can grow both mentally and physically, developing new abilities, growing and changing as individuals, and have a sense of self, while Seizeds lack these. Keresta knew about this from the beginning, but really wanted to see her sisters back, so she still asked Dozakh to seize them, only to get two hollow people that give her vague sense of sisterhood.
Keresta communited with Xial on the same year, personally visiting her and communing with her
"Hail, Xial, revered guide of Separians, brethren bound in the realm of faith..." Keresta's salutation resonated through the chamber.
"Keresta, your presence bolsters the unyielding ties of faith and unity. Welcome, trailblazer of Warpath and Artisan of the Pieces." Xial's reply echoed.
"Time's tapestry wove the thread of your Separians alliance with us Kanduhans five decades past, yet a true communion remained just beyond our reach, did it not?" Keresta inquired.
"Indeed, the past often veils even the most profound connections, concealing them from even the keenest sight," Xial conceded.
"I must convey my deep admiration for you, Xial. You've revealed yourself as a woman of extraordinary intrigue," Keresta acknowledged, continuing, "Your discernment of the Pieces, your audacious experimentation on a Marauder-class Kanduhan, and your acquisition of a Piece for your personal possession—all truly impressive feats." Keresta paused, then continued, "Your steadfast dedication to the Warpath is evident in your mastery of the Blade Canon. Furthermore, you've ventured to spread our sacred doctrine in tandem with the Pieces."
"Keresta, to be praised by the very architect of Pieces is an honor beyond measure," Xial remarked, her voice carrying a note of deep respect. "In the Blade Canon, I see not merely a symbol of mastery, but also a weapon of conviction and a shield for our unwavering beliefs. The Pieces, acquired and spread, serve as a battle cry, a rallying point that guides us in the propagation of our sacred doctrine."
"You articulate the very thoughts of mine. I view you as an equal, Xial, Grasper of All," Keresta replied, her tone sincere.
"Equals? Your words bestow a significance upon me that humbles me, pioneer of the Warpath and architect of Pieces," Xial responded, her voice poised. "May I inquire about the purpose of your visit? The entirety of Separia stands poised to fulfill any desire you hold, a privilege bestowed upon us by none other than Keresta herself."
Keresta's shoulders lifted in a shrug, and she uttered, "Understood, for you grasp that the presence of mine holds intention." She continued, her words measured, "Your enigmatic Grasp, your prowess, beckons the intrigue of mine. I yearn to harness that very ability, entwining it with one of the aspirations of mine. Should such an endeavor lie within your Grasp?"
"Absolutely! Your request holds weight and is welcomed wholeheartedly. Shall I, then, employ the Grasp upon a person or object as you require? Such a task lies well within my capabilities, Keresta," Xial responded, her head inclining in a nod of agreement.
"Your affirmative response brings delight. Centuries past, the sisters of mine met their demise. Centuries later, I requested Shah Dozakh to Seize them, a desperate endeavor to reclaim their presence," Keresta recounted, her posture conveying a blend of urgency and longing. "Heeded, he Seized them, and they were bestowed upon me. Yet, Seize, though formidable in amassing an undead, relentless army, faltered in fully restoring their Essence. The incarnations of the sisters of mine, Seized, became nothing but puppets—possessed but dim echoes of their erstwhile existence."
"Centuries shrouded in obscurity have only deepened my intrigue, Keresta. The fate of your sisters was sealed by death and then defiled by Dozakh's twisted artistry, a travesty of their true Essence," Xial responded with a note of empathy.
Keresta's nod was measured, her voice deliberate as she uttered, "Thus, the hope of mine rests upon your Grasp, the potent power you wield—a potential to mend in a manner more profound. An approach that may yield greater efficacy in this noble endeavor." A breath, then she continued, "To restore the kin of mine in their entirety, carrying their Essence in its primal form, would be an invaluable boon indeed."
"Intriguing. Your Sisters share the bond with you as they were gifted to you as Seizeds, opening a way for me to Grasp them. Grasp, though akin, stands distinctly apart from Shah Dozakh's Seize," Xial elucidated, her tone contemplative.
"How fascinating, Xial. Your insights into the essence of Grasp and Seize illuminate the nuances of these abilities. The juxtaposition between the two is truly enlightening," Keresta acknowledged, her nod affirming.
"It appears Seize assimilates the current Essence of its target and forges its manifestation based upon that, yet it lacks the capacity to shape potential trajectories. This perhaps elucidates why Seizeds remain stagnant. Beyond marginal physical fortification, Seized entities are confined to their Seized state, unable to further their own growth," Xial expounded, unveiling her analysis of Seize with a scholarly air.
"Comprehended. The limitations of Seize are coming into sharper focus now. The absence of potential paths undoubtedly stifles the development of Seized entities. Your analysis resonates with my own observations," Keresta acknowledged with a nod of agreement.
"Seized entities possess an immortality tethered to Dozakh, a mechanism that is undeniably effective and compensates for their lack of inherent potential. However, I would posit that this pales in comparison to the potential for growth inherent in Grasp," Xial remarked thoughtfully.
"Your insights are profound, Xial. The juxtaposition between a reliance on external immortality and the potential for intrinsic growth through Grasp offers a fresh lens through which to view longevity and power dynamics. I am inclined to agree with your assertion of Grasp's superiority, given that a Grasped individual can cultivate their own form of immortality," Keresta responded.
"My Grasp functions as an inversion of this phenomenon of Seize. It replicates an entire Essence of its target, encompassing their potential paths as well. Grasped entities retain a sense of self, their identity, and possess just as much—if not more—potential as before they were Grasped. Moreover, they gain access to the Blade Canon through my Piece, enabling significant growth and advancement," Xial explained, illuminating the intricacies of her Grasp ability.
"Your portrayal of Grasp as the counterpoint to Seize is truly captivating. The prospect of Grasped entities preserving their Essence in entirety, maintaining their sense of self, and being granted access to the Blade Canon is truly compelling. This infusion of potential holds immense promise, overshadowing the stasis of immortality inherent in Seize," Keresta replied with genuine interest.
"I am in agreement and willingly embrace your request, Xial. I shall utilize my Grasp to capture the essence of your sisters, affording them a second opportunity through my ability," Xial proclaimed, her voice firm and determined.
"Your willingness to heed the request of mine, Xial, extends a beacon of hope for the sisters of mine and myself alike. Through your Grasp, they may find a new path, embracing the prospects of growth and transformation that lie before them," Keresta responded, gratitude and optimism coloring her words.
As Xial agreed, she Grasped Keresta's sisters, and gifted them back to her. Keresta could tell the difference near instantly, and commented the following about the change.
"Fascinating. This "Grasp" is truly far better of an alternative than "Seize" of Dozakh indeed. The long faded sense of selfness of the sisters of mine were akin to ashes, remains of a phenomenon long gone, a relic of the past. Their Seized bodies were nothing but hollow puppets, radiating nostalgic and tragic smell and feeling of the long-gone sisters of mine. But now, the moment they were Grasped, those ashes started to turn into embers. Burning. Intense. I can feel the sisters of mine in these puppets now. They are back, truly back. I shall aid in fueling of the embers, so they turn into ferocious flames that burn everything, and warm up the heart of mine, which is a cold stone."
Keresta's new, Grasped sisters were back for real according to her own analysis of the situation. Her communion with Xial and her ability to Grasp worked. Not only her sisters were back and gradually returning to their state prior to their death, they could now also grow both physically and mentally, and develop themselves further. This made them as real as they were when they were alive, but was not enough for Keresta. She gave Pieces to both her sisters, forming two proper Kanduhans out of them. She did not think this would work, and when it did, she again praised Grasp, saying how potent of an ability it is when it comes to restoration. She would also bound them to her own brood, Keresta's Horde, and place them to Qrash. This time they could in fact get powerful.
Personality[]
Keresta was a woman with a determined and kind personality, shaped by the circumstances she grew up in prior to meeting Abmulnak. However, her demeanor changed somewhat after making a deal with Abmulnak, becaming stoic and unresponsive to most things. Despite this, she still cared deeply for her sisters, going so far as to have them revived years later, knowing they would not be the same as before they were seized. She hoped, she believed the sisters would return to their former selves, or a form that is closer to their former self, because she loved her sisters.
As a firm believer in the Warpath, the religion she developed, Keresta considers herself and other believers to be all that is good, with anyone opposing them inherently evil. She is the mastermind behind the Harach system, believing that the powerful should rule while the powerless serve and provide tribute. Keresta is a strong advocate of the Warpath philosophy and believes in it wholeheartedly, given that she is the one who developed it. She also does not think she is being controlled by Abmulnak.
After defeating Abmulnak, Keresta discovered the true purpose of the Pieces Abmulnak gave her and her sisters, which was to have them reproduce and spread the Pieces. This would eventually create a group of people bound to Abmulnak in tribute, allowing him to break out of his prison. Keresta realized that she had inadvertently achieved this goal, but as herself and the other Sherkats as the centerpiece, not Abmulnak, whom she considers weak and undeserving of his position. After all, he died at the hands of a much weaker Keresta.
Keresta is much less bloodthirsty than Abmulnak. Original idea Keresta inherited from Abmulnak would have dictated annihilation of all evil, but Keresta altered it, and changed annihilation with elimination, and opened two possibilities for enemies of Kanduhans. Annihilation or subjugation. Annihilation still has the meaning of original doctrine, while subjugation is strictly crushing and tightly controlling a foreign force, exploiting them, but not killing them, at least not as a whole. With this, she essentially spared the lives of many, as Kanduhans now could subjugate people, rather than annihilating them outright. This option was less preferred by other branchs, but her own branch, Keresta's Horde, preferred it more often.

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius. Keresta Resket is the leader and ruler of Kanduhans, having led them for centuries, possessed of an extraordinary level of cognitive abilities and strategic thinking that are virtually unparalleled throughout the region of Kanduhana, as well as in many parts of the entire Jahan. In no way is she inferior to the renowned intellect, prowess, and cunning of Shah Dozakh. Even at a significantly younger and weaker state, Keresta was able to devise a method to defeat Abmulnak, an unphysial idealistic entity that was a remnant of a much larger one, thereby demonstrating her exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic acumen. Moreover, Keresta's impressive intellect and inventive mind allowed her to develop a religion based on an idea acquired from Abmulnak, which later became known as Warpath. This religion was later served as the basis of Kanduhan, a new species developed by Keresta, Hazar Mazdabarzan, and Shah Dozakh. Not content to rest on her laurels, she also discovered a new realm called Davabanda, which is an extradimensional space related to the Payeh and is linked to Warpath, the ethnoreligion of Kanduhans. It is worth noting that this realm is entirely separate from the Material Space that is Jahan. Together with Shah Dozakh, Keresta further developed the ability to create their own Andishes within Davabanda and to transfer their Dahakhuds there. Dahakhud contains their Essences, mind, birth, death, past, future, and information from her body and located it in there, making them far more difficult to defet. This was a significant breakthrough that marked the beginning of the Kanduhan Exaltedhood, Kanduhans or generally any individual who were able to accomplish this feat was referred to as an Exalted, a name choosen by Keresta. This showcases her innovative abilities. Keresta honed her exceptional abilities by acquiring extensive knowledge of Hava and Payeh, which enables her to curse, mimic, and even create domains similar to Andishes in Material Space itself. This highlights her vast knowledge and her ability to apply it in practical ways, a rare skill indeed. All in all, Keresta is an exceptional individual whose intelligence, creativity, and strategic abilities are truly remarkable. She possesses a rare combination of intellect, innovation, and practicality that places her in a league of her own, nearly completely above not just in Kanduhana, but throughout the known realms of all of Jahan, and only matched by a very few.
Standard Tactics:
Keresta, being a highly strategic and tactful individual, possesses several methods to commence a personal battle against an individual adversary. These methods are dependent on the estimated strength of her opponent, a task she accomplishes with an almost uncanny level of accuracy. The methods employed by Keresta include:
- Rushing: In situations where the adversary is significantly weaker than Keresta, she will unhesitatingly rush towards her opponent with the intention of rapidly dispatching them. Additionally, she may employ her mastery of energy manipulation to unleash devastating energy blasts towards their general vicinity, ensuring a swift and decisive victory.
- Summoning: Against more potent adversaries, Keresta will exercise her authority over dozens of Marauders, who are subservient to her command. With a horde of fierce warriors at her disposal, she can easily overwhelm her opponent and finish the battle in quick succession. She may also employ her vast knowledge to create replicas of her adversary and set them against each other, further incapacitating the foe.
- Combine: In cases where the adversary's strength cannot be accurately predicted, Keresta assumes that they are at par with, or possibly stronger than herself. She then utilizes all her abilities simultaneously, hoping to overcome the adversary before they can take any proactive measures. This approach involves an exhaustive display of her multifaceted skillset, showcasing her remarkable abilities in a bid to secure victory.
Overall, Keresta's strategic thinking and tactical acumen are highly refined, and her ability to accurately predict and adapt to her adversary's strength makes her a formidable opponent. With a plethora of options at her disposal, she can easily overcome any challenge that comes her way.
Weaknesses: None notable

- Prowess/Sight: Keresta Resket is a Sherkat, a Kanduhan God, with extreme levels of prowess, far above any Marauder, even those who are far superior to likes of Ravan Radzhad. Even weakest Marauders are far superior to Chelik, Bane of the Arasah, who is far superior to all Belligers comined, whose members are far superior to Artashtaransalar, the Chief of Chiefs, who himself is far superior to the entire all other Prowlers combined. Even weakest of Prowlers possess an unparalleled mastery of all forms of combat art, sword technique, and marksmanship in the realm of Jahan. Their knowledge of weapons is so comprehensive that they are aware of the strengths and weaknesses of every type of sword or gun in existence. Furthermore, the Prowlers are able to generate numerous afterimages that appear to be exact duplications of themselves, which can confuse and disorient their opponents. Their ability to predict the movements of their opponents with extreme clarity before they even act is a testament to their incredible reflexes and awareness. The Prowlers also possess extremely enhanced and precise senses, allowing them to see and hear everything down to the level of quarks and perceive sounds and sights from great distances of kilometers away. They have the groundbreaking ability to gather information on people or objects simply by looking at them, learning someone's power, fighting style, and even their present thoughts with a mere gaze. This incredible insight allows them to mimic the abilities they see and improve upon them, using them more effectively than the original user, to the point of being able to outperform those who outperformed them mere moments ago. The Prowlers have even been known to possess the ability to touch, harm, and even kill emotions and ideas, a skill that demonstrates their extraordinary control over the world around them. They can also physically grab smoke or shadows, which speaks to their mastery over the intangible. Their control over their own bodies is so precise that they have quark-level control over their own physique, allowing them to change their shape and grow weapons at will. They can move in a way that avoids touching the air and makes no sound, further enhancing their stealth and agility.
- Dark: Keresta possesses a unique ability to create and disseminate a pervasive darkness. This darkness has the exceptional ability to repel any form of light and its properties, including those generated by the means of Hava. Within the darkness generated by Keresta, she is able to teleport herself with ease and launch attacks from any point within its bounds, effectively making her omnipresent within its realm. If left unchecked by her opponents and allowed to expand without interruption, the reach of Keresta's Dark can encompass a vast area, with its range extending to hundreds of thousands of kilometers in radius around her. It is a formidable power that allows Keresta to create a shroud of impenetrable darkness, granting her an insurmountable advantage over her opponents.
- Sadma: Keresta has the ability to inflict a curse upon her targets, which can significantly reduce the properties of anything she can interact with. The curse has the power to cause what can be described as "death", even if the object or entity being affected is not considered alive in the literal sense. Keresta's curse is a formidable ability that allows her to neutralize or severely weaken her opponents. By placing a curse on a target, she can diminish its properties, making it easier for her to defeat or manipulate it to her advantage. The curse can be applied to a wide range of objects or entities, making it an incredibly versatile power that can be used in a variety of situations.
- Shafa: Shafa allows Keresta to which allows her to utilize any information she has gathered about a particular entity or object. With this power, she can create precise copies of the target in question, which are not merely duplicates, but instead are made of the exact information of the original source. These generated beings are remarkably identical to their source, and possess all of the same properties and abilities. However, they are temporary in nature, and will typically disappear after one or two days, unless Keresta personally restarts the individual generations. With her Shafa ability, Keresta can create exact replicas of anything she has encountered, whether it be living beings, objects, or even environments.
- Sadmashafa: This ability is created by combining information gathering, cursing, and darkness. With this, Keresta is able to generate domains, similar to Andishe, in Material Space itself. Within This domain Keresta is greatly empowered, to the point her outside-of-domain self's abilities are completely insignificant compared to when she is in the domain. Her targets within this domain are greatly debuffed, having weakened abilities and weakened speed. As her targets stay within this domain for some time, they will eventually turn into stones
- Harshay: Keresta can control wide variety of elements, using them in combination with one another as well as her other abilities. Keresta possesses a wide range of abilities that allow her to manipulate the elements and alter the battlefield to her advantage. With her power, she can summon fire and hurl fireballs at her enemies, and she has the ability to transform the terrain with molten magma to create strategic opportunities. Moreover, Keresta can produce copious amounts of water, creating massive pools and even vast seas over time. She can also generate ice, which can be used for defensive purposes or to hinder her opponents' movements. In addition to these abilities, Keresta can compress the air around her and launch thin, cutting blasts that can inflict serious damage. She is also able to cultivate various types of plants and trees, which can be used to manipulate the environment and create obstacles for her foes. Furthermore, she can generate large, poisonous fungus from the ground, which can poison the area and incapacitate any who enter. Keresta's powers extend beyond organic matter, as she can also manipulate metal, either by generating it herself or controlling existing sources. Additionally, she can alter magnetic fields in the vicinity, providing another avenue for strategic advantage. Finally, she can manipulate the center of gravity in a given area, either repelling everything away from it or greatly increasing or decreasing the severity of gravity in the vicinity, or both.
- Standard Blade Canon Abilities: All Kanduhans have various innate abilities due to having access to Blade Canon (also see Blade Canon page for innate resistances)
- Blade Canon users possess the remarkable ability to engage in combat with a primal instinct that is beyond conscious control. Their instincts allow them to react seamlessly to incoming attacks by evading or obstructing them, and they can even launch counterattacks with an unconscious flair. Their combat prowess is so impressive that they can continue to fight even after enduring a catastrophic injury such as having their heads blown away
- Blade Canon users have the ability to enhance their powers by obtaining what are known as "tributes". These tributes are mainly acquired through acts of destruction, violence, bloodshed, and death. Causing Death is the most efficient way to obtain tributes. For Kanduhans, it is not uncommon for a low-ranking individual to ascend into a Marauder simply because they were able to kill someone of higher rank and thus acquire their tributes.
- Blade Canon users possess the ability to generate electrical energy within their bodies, harnessing this power to not only augment their physical capabilities but also to wield it as a formidable weapon. This electricity serves as a conduit of immense power that they can manipulate and channel through their bodies and their weapons, unleashing devastating attacks upon their adversaries. Moreover, the electric power coursing through the Blade Canon user's veins is not only used offensively, but also defensively. They can manipulate and control the flow of electricity to create a paralyzing effect that incapacitates their opponents, leaving them vulnerable to attack. This ability to not only attack with lethal force but also to incapacitate opponents demonstrates the versatility and adaptability of Blade Canon users, making them formidable foes in any combat situation.
- Blade Canon users can generate a specialized type of acid within their bodies. This potent acid serves as a devastating weapon that they can channel through their bodies and their weapons, dissolving any material it comes into contact with. The acidic nature of this substance is incredibly corrosive, capable of breaking down and deconstructing even the most durable of materials with ease. Blade Canon users can control the strength and intensity of the acid to suit their needs, from mild erosive effects to full-blown dissolution, leaving their enemies helpless and vulnerable.
- Blade Canon users are able to corrode objects or living beings with a mere touch of their left hand. This power is not only potent but also highly specialized, enabling Blade Canon users to neutralize their adversaries with astonishing efficiency. The corrosive agent generated by Blade Canon users is incredibly potent, capable of breaking down and degrading even the most durable of materials, leaving them weakened and vulnerable. The power of this ability is such that it can also corrode living beings, causing debilitating pain and disfigurement, and even death if not treated promptly. The corrosive agent generated by Blade Canon users only functions when in contact with their left hand. Once contact is broken, the corrosive effects immediately cease.
- Blade Canon users potent ability to generate poisons within their bodies. This power not only makes them formidable combatants but also grants them the ability to manipulate and control their adversaries in unprecedented ways. The poisons generated by Blade Canon users are incredibly potent and varied, capable of weakening or corrupting their targets, allowing them to control the their bodies after extensive application of the poison.
- Blade Canon users possess an aura that extends several meters around them. This aura is a passive radiation of their lethal and destructive abilities, radiating their potent poisons, corrosive substances, and acidic compounds into the environment; the abilities mentioned earlier, constantly active within the boundaries of the aura.
- Blade Canon users possess an immesurable level of endurance and resilience. They are tireless beings, capable of surviving indefinitely without rest, food, water, or air. Additionally, their incredible physical fortitude extends to the vacuum of space, where they can survive without any protection or life support systems. Due to this resilience, the internal organs of Blade Canon users, specifically those responsible for digestion and breathing, slowly erode and disintegrate over time. Since Blade Canon users do not require food, water, or air, these organs eventually become obsolete and wither away to nothingness. This remarkable adaptation allows Blade Canon users to focus their biological resources on more critical functions, such as the generation of their other various abilities. By shedding the burden of organs that are no longer necessary, Blade Canon users can optimize their physiology for combat and other essential activities. Attacks of Blade Canon users have a devastatingly potent effect on their targets. Their abilities are so effective that they can halt the natural processes of healing and regeneration that are possessed by many of their targets. Even the weakest attack from a Blade Canon user can inflict permanent damage or kill Arasah chiefs - powerful beings with the ability to regenerate their bodies even after complete destruction. This feat speaks to the incredible potency of the Blade Canon user's attacks, which can neutralize even the most formidable opponents with ease. The effect of a Blade Canon user's attack is more than just physical damage; it has an inherent ability to disrupt and disable the processes of regeneration and healing. This means that even if a target could regenerate or heal from their injuries, they would be unable to do so after being struck by a Blade Canon user's attack. The ramifications of such an ability are profound, as it essentially removes the safety net that most beings rely on to recover from injuries sustained in battle. The effect of a Blade Canon user's attack is so absolute that it renders the target vulnerable to subsequent attacks, making it a highly effective weapon in combat.
- Standard Kanduhan Weaponry
- Shredmaker: A close range weapon akin to a sword. It has the "Shred" ability; can be charged by feeding from the power of its user for extended periods of time to launch a powerful attack on a small area, can be up to ten times stronger than the users own strength depending on how much it was charged. The effective range of Shred is about ten meters, effective against killing enemies with superior durability, but effects a small area.
- Bombmaker: A long-range weapon akin to a rifle. It fires rapid bullets, effective against greater number of enemies who are weaker. It has "Bomb" ability; can be fed power to launch explosive attacks that deal great damage to a large area, can be used to damage multiple comparable enemies. It's range depends on the power of its user, as bullets get weaker depending on user's power.
- Burnmaker: A long-range weapon akin toa rifle. It fires rapid bullets similar to Bombmaker. It has "Burn" ability; can be fed power to launch burning bullets that can inflict Burn effects to anything they hit, which starts to burn it away. Burn is capable of burning through other fires
- Painmaker: A mid-range weapon similar to a pistol. It fires bullets that have slower rate-of-fire than Burnmaker or Bombmaker. It has "Pain" ability; can be fed power to launch bullets that do damage as well as inflict severe pain and weakening to their targets. Pain is disproportionately greater than the amout of damage received from the weapon, a small cut from Painmaker can induce severe pain that is able to distract its target from combat, effective against even those who were highly resistant to Pain. A Painmakerer is able to weaken the powers of those who are several times stronger than themselves, to their own level of strength. Though the weakening lasts much shorter the more powerful the target gets.
- Shieldmaker: A shield that is able to block attacks that can otherwise damage the individual Kanduhan. It has "Shield" ability; can be fed power to crete a forcefield that blocks Hava abilities, can block abilities of those who are somwhat more powerful than Shieldmakerer.
