Summary[]
Hjalmarr Ellansson is the primary antagonist of The Rise to Power Arc of The Shadow of Revenge. He is a half-German, half-Norse warrior with superhuman power. He is revered as one of the greatest warriors of the time by his allies and enemies alike and was famed as Hjalmarr the Undefeated or Hjalmarr the Tall, standing at an astounding ten feet tall. He is the Earl Marshal of the army of York, and the leader of the general Northumbrian armies.
After being believed to be dead toward the end of The Rise to Power Arc, Hjalmarr returns, revealing he regenerated from his father's attempt at ending his life and was able to grow massively in power from it. Hjalmarr is a key ally to Momo over the course of The New World Arc and was able to wound Lord Vallum and keep pace with Momo
Backstory[]
Hjalmarr was born Hjalmarr Ellansson in 1169 to a German mother and Norse father in Ellanher. Hjalmarr grew up being trained to be a weapon for Ellanher, as his father constantly drove him to become stronger and more powerful, as he grew up, he only knew war, participating in many large battles as he gained a name and reputation for being undefeatable, incredibly tall and inhumanly strong. By the time of his mid twenties, Hjalmarr's campaigns had made England a proxy of York with Hjalmarr being hailed as the greatest warrior within England and arguably the world in the minds of most. At the age of 31, Hjalmarr was dispatched to kill the healer of a far away village. Hjalmarr sent out his most competent knights, whom swiftly killed the healer, but little did he know, he had brought doom to himself.
