Summary[]
Heznazap Zegna is a minor character from Crestseal. He was a Stargazer soldier of Aspirantze rank and served under Vizarigat Keoan until his death at the Battle of Rockbreak
Early Life[]
Heznazap was born in the outskirts of the capital city and the heart of the Stargazer realm, known as Stargazer's Crest, during the winter of the year 342. Born into a poor family of the lower class in a slum and grew up there. His early years were marked by learning his father's occupation, woodworking, and later working as a carpenter during his adolescence and early adult life. He married and had three children between years 361 to 367 while continuing to work as a carpenter. Over the next years the family, which was already of lower class, experienced financial shortcomings, Heznazap decided to pursue a career in the Astravar military as a Sphrerer, both to provide more for his family and to fulfill a childhood dream of his he never pursued, to be a soldier and serve Astrava. After 30 years of civilian life and nearly 20 years of being a carpenter, He went to check in with Phanon Academy in year 372 to determine whether he was fit or not, and prepared for it after he was confirmed fit despite his advanced age.
Phanon training[]
Next year, at the age of 31, exceptionally late for an aspiring soldier as many enlist in their early adolescent years to learn Phanon, Heznazap enlisted with Phanon Academy, embarking on a journey that would lead to his formal induction and training. During his training, he struggled to understand the basics and control Phanon. This was seen by researchers to be due to his age; Candidates must be young to learn Phanon and the older they are, the longer it will take to master Phanon and utilize it properly. But Heznazap was able to accomplish it, it took him 2 years, significantly longer than usual.
Integration into the Army[]
By 375, Heznazap fully completed his training and overcome the obstacle that was put on him due to his age. He was now a proper soldier of Astrava and was given the Rank of Aspirantze a few weeks later. He was integrated into the team of Vizarigat Keoan, and Aspirantver who was also 15 years Heznazap's senior. Only a few months in his status as an enlisted soldier with a Rank, he participated in more than 7 battles, most being small skirmishes against various smaller groups as those of Heznazap's status, newly enlisted soldiers would not be sent into very dangerous battles, as at the time they were seen as a valuable investment that should be nurtured by the Stargazer leadership.
Heznazap, aside from his age that made him stick out like a thumb, combating as a new soldier of the lowest rank as a man in his mid-30s, performed exactly how an Aspirantze was expected to perform. He did not stand out in any other way, neither he was outperforming others or underperforming. He progressed alongside his generation throughout the year and served under Vizarigat Keoan's team of over 30 Aspirantzes.
After six months, the team tried to convince Vizarigat into a sparring duel, against all 30 of his force. Vizarigat eventually accepted, and he won, defeating and incapacitating all 30 of his team without even getting hit. This made Heznazap realize how big of a gap between Aspirantze and Aspirantver, and how long of a way he needed to go.
Time passed quickly, and Heznazap had already an enlisted for over a year now. This looked like a dream to him, he dreamed of being a soldier like this as a child and could not believe this was real. With his main reason for being one now to provide for his family, Heznazap was happy that he made over 7 times the money he made as a carpenter, thus providing for his family significantly more.
Team Keoan was constantly on the move, they were situated in the southern region just outside of Stargazer control, one of the dozens of teams located there to curb local Esakar force. Heznazap, in the blink of an eye, had already living this life for over 3 years now and was engaged in over 70 battles. These battles, although many were small skirmishes, were significant and he lost several of his comrades, people he trained together with years ago at Phanon Academy, he felt like he lost family with each death. A few weeks later Team Keoan was sent as a reinforcement to Teams Verizan, Mekri, Korza, and Merka in a large battle known as the Battle of Rockbreak, taking place in the region of Rockbreak against several allied small factions who armed up against Stargazers. This was the largest battle Heznazap was a part of, and the battle he met his end, targeted by a significantly powerful soldier who could hold his own against even Vizarigat himself, meaning Heznazap never stood a chance, he was quickly overwhelmed and defeated by him, alongside several of his teammates. He and his teammates, who were new soldiers and died before they could even develop, represent the meaning of wasted potential for Palovans.
As he was dying, he knew that his status as a soldier killed in action would provide even more money for his family and improve their status, so he closed his eyes for a final time as a happy, fulfilled man.

He controls both Lesser and Greater, sends Lesser underground to analyze and identify the weak point of a Vitapirer Castle to infiltrate it, and simultaneously controls Greater to engage in combat amidst intense gunfire, facing thousands of capable Vitapirers whose bullets can easily kill him should he get hit. He successfully infiltrates the Castle using Lesser, sabotaging its weapon systems, and coordinates reinforcements while evading gunfire from the Vitapirers while maneuvering Greater to dodge Vitapirer gunfire and stall them. |
