Summary

Gor-Talith, Voidforger of the Covert is a character from Crestseal. He is a high-ranked Cavil Congregator and leader of the Talith Congregation.

Background

Early years

Spawned in a Cometwarden belonging to Vsak-Ra from her mother as a result of Fragmentation to serve as an expendable foot soldier, Gor-Talith was expected to serve as a pawn for the Cavil Empire, having never seen his mother. Disgruntled by her current existence, Gor-Talith would defy the fate that was placed on her, she would prove herself in many battles, and earn her right to Lathar. Quickly surpassing many of her peers, even superiors, and rising to the position of Conenant in less than 60 years, far faster than most individuals, and with much little amount of Lathar. Gor-Talith was also disgruntled by her nature, so she changed herself from female to male and made himself be known as Voidforger of the Covert

Departure from Vsakra and conquest of the Moon

Shortly after the arrival of the Cavils of Vsarka Congregation into the Proxima Solar System, Gor-Talith and his followers broke away from the Congregator they served, Vsak-Ra, and his Cometwarden as Gor-Talith believed he was in danger in his place. Prior to his escape he secretly built a Procedurator, a machine used by Cavil to convert energy into Lathar, their food. He fled with his own troops. Decades later he arrived on the Palovan Solar System and, after exploration of uninhabited territories, he landed on the Moon, and declared himself a Congregator there after some decades of building, establishing Talith Congregation as a Cavil territory. Other Congregators gradually accepted his status but were dissatisfied by his actions, deserting and theft.

Gor-Talith ruled the Moon for centuries, eventually forming a very populous society in there, made up of hatchlings of his original troops as well as immigrants from other Congregations. During his rule, he patrolled Palova, but did not invade it as he had respect for Palovans living in there. He watched as Palovans struggled in their Dark Era, put themselves back together in their City Era, and unified under one government called Pinnacle in Unificator Era. Gor-Talith expected Pinnacle to invade the Moon sooner or later, as the Moon was an abandoned territory of the Palovans. Something had made them leave the Moon and other territories in this Solar System, his Cavil knew that much.

War against Pinnacle

First Clashes and Triumph

Gor-Talith was always prepared an was battle-ready for an eventual Pinnacle invasion and war that would lead to, which eventually came as he expected, resulting in a decisive victory for him and near total annihilation of Pinnacle's army. He himself participated in the war, and saw certain individuals, leaders of this Pinnacle Army. These individuals could be killed, but they did not stay dead. Anytime they died, a sphere would come out of their bodies, a spark of lightning, and boom, they are back, living again. This intrigued Gor-Talith, so he battled one such woman named Kesravia Mel, after a lengthy, difficult battle, Gor-Talith prevailed and captured her for interrogation and to experiment.

Gor-Talith interrogated Kesravia and learned a lot about these individuals, who were known as Chosen or Sentinel depending on their alignment. He understood these immortal Chosen were the leaders of Pinnacle. They were immortal like he was, but unlike him who cannot die, they died but did not stay dead. He understood he should beware of the Chosen. The crushing victory against Pinnacle did not stop the conflict, however. Quite contrary, it spanned a period of constant military campaigns, as Gor-Talith ordered retaliatory raids against Pinnacle, who themselves also retaliated. Gor-Talith was not able to expand into Palova, but neither could Pinnacle expand into te Moon.

Revolt of Vse-Sarka and attack of Ser-Vasra

Eventually another Cavil named Ser-Vasra, a high-ranking Congregator and rogue Cavil, launched an attack against Talith Congregation in other side of the Moon, coordinated at the same time when a Conenant of Gor-Talith named Vse-Sarka who ruled the region launched a revolt against his rule. This was a planned effort, Gor-Talith could not believe he missed it, he and his forces were too preoccupied with war against Pinnacle and these politic games slipped from his sight. This was a major attack, which caused most of his attention being needed to focus on invasive Ser-Vasra and rebellious Vse-Sarka. It was during this two year period Pinnacle was able to take a piece of Moon and heavily fortify it. After defeating and repelling the army of Ser-Vasra, Gor-Talith saw Pinnacle's conquest in his own territory. Surprised, but not mad, he tried a different approach, one not chosen by Cavils very often; diplomacy. He sent an emissary to Pinnacle, who was executed by them. This reignited the conflict between his Congregation and Pinnacle.

As decades passed, the conflict between Pinnacle and Talith Congregation graually lessened, especially after an elite force led by Gor-Talith himself managed to reconquer part of the Moon conquered by the Pinnnacle. Eventually the two were able to sign a truce, an uneasy one.

Arrival of the Quakers

Sometime after this truce, a force of Quakers arrived and attacked Palova. Gor-Talith initially maintained neutrality and did not interfere, though he knew about the Quakers and he knew being neutral when they are involved would be impossible. Soon or later what he thought would happen happened, a portion of the Quaker force attacked the Moon, which resulted in Talith Congregation entering the war against Quakers on the side of Palova. Following the defeat of Quakers and death of its leader, Alvaraz, the truce between Pinnacle and Talith Congregation was strengthened, and both sides progressed towards forming a kind of Coalition.

Standard Equipment:

• Rigor Sword: A sharp, thick sword of Cavil making. As a hard-to-wield, high-tier weapon, Rigor Sword is generally only used by Voidjors and above. This weapon allows the user to find the weakest point of the target and destroy it, it can cut any target, including space itself.
• Shock Pistol: An advanced pistol of Cavil making. Representing Civil engineering and technology, this pistol is charged by the user's own stamina which is channeled in the form of stun bullets. These bullets are able to momentarily stun any target upon impact, preventing both the body and the mind from progressing for a brief moment, allowing its user to launch another attack.
• Rigofigur: A Cavil device used to determine the relative power of the target. It can analyze and detect the power of the target relative to the user by producing a color. White means weaker, Orange means around the same, Red is stronger, and Black is far stronger

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius. Gor-Talith is a highly capable soldier and a leader who is capable of outsmarting others, including high-ranking Paramountver Paramountmond Rank Palovans while Aspirantzes of which are geniuses in their own right. Secretly built a Procedurator without being detected, deserted when he believed things were getting dangerous for him. Took the Moon and ruled it for centuries, forming a Congregation of his own. Repeatedly repelled and stopped invasions from Pinnacle whose leaders and soldiers are all geniuses in their own right

Gor-Talith will attack the target with Shock Pistol and Blasts if they are around the same level or weaker based on Rigofigur detection. If they are significantly stronger, he drags them into the Voidforge and combats them there

Notable Attacks/Techniques

• Cavil: Gor-Talith is a Cavil, a member of the Cavil species. Being a Cavil alone grants several innate abilities.
  • Lathar Sustenance: Cavils subsist off only Lathar, as such no need to breathe.
  • Grit: Cavils are linked to their Grit, also called mental Grit, which is the determination and resolve of an individual Cavil.
    • Survival: The more Grit Cavil have, the more they can push through and survive in situations that are otherwise fatal. Gor-Talith, as a Voitain, can survive even as a skeletal structure and remain functional due to his mental grit.
    • Adaptation: Cavil grit allows them to adapt their abilities and body to combat inconveniences, they can temporarily alter the way their own abilities work to make them effective against targets that previously resisted it. Such as Gor-Talith temporarily changed his Boltmance abilities to Watermence by using water as the basis against an enemy resistant to electric but weak to water attacks
• Medic: Gor-Talith knows basic Medic, which allows him to heal himself and others to a limited degree. He does not need it due to his grit but can use it for others who do
• The Voidforge: Gor-Talith's signature Method is his control over an isolated reality he calls Voidforge. This reality was not created by him, it existed prior. He gained access to it in the past and attained its control. He can drag his targets here by manifesting a gateway to it from his body, which can extend several meters and drag anyone whom he wishes to drag to Voidforge. He has control over the reality within the Voidforge, including the reality of those dragged in here. He can simply leave and leave them be trapped, alter reality within the Voidforge as he wishes, destroy the minds of those he dragged in, induce instant death, or even erase his targets, or anything that exists inside the Voidforge. He can also target Kernels with any of his attacks while inside the Voidforge
  • Voidforge Storage: Gor-Talith can also use the Voidforge for storage purposes, he has shown to use Voidforge as a gateway for his troops during his battles
  • Voidforge Travel: Gor-Talith can use Voidforge for fast travel. He can go to Voidforge, and return to Middlescape on a different location. He has been shown to cross several light years of distance withOutside the Voidforge utilizing this method. This Method also allows him to return from different Realm he might be sent in
• Spatial Slash: Gor-Talith knows Spatial Slash, which allows him to cut through and pierce space itself. Both his pistol and his sword can be used in tandem with this Method
• Boltmancer: Kryn is a master Boltmancer. This allows him to Boltmance; manifest and control electricity in various ways
  • Stroke Palace: Gor-Talith can manifest a spherical structure of electricity and lightning that surrounds him and reflects projectile-based attacks for some time.
