Summary

Son Gohan, referred to in the series simply as Future Gohan, is an alternate timeline counterpart of Son Gohan where Trunks died in his place, causing Gohan to go Super Saiyan 2 and kill the Androids. He always thought that the Androids were the ones that killed Trunks, but when Goku Black arrived in his timeline, he was told that this timeline was caused by Goku Black killing Trunks due to his future meddling with timeline, causing Gohan to transform into Super Saiyan 3, almost killing him with a Special Beam Cannon, but Black manages to eat a Senzu Bean, getting a Zenkai and transforming into a Super Saiyan Rose, easily killing Gohan.
