A Data Ghost is a an unknown species discovered by the Agents in a timeline where humanity tried to ascend themselves to data forms. The experiment ended terribly as the test subject escaped, killing all of the staff and wiping out the entire complex. Theorised by the agents, these creatures could eventually wipe out life on a universal scale.
