You know, I think that was literally the worst possible thing that could've happened
~ Dante upon his summoning

Summary[]

Dante is one of the beings summoned by Nil in the VSRP Tor Everybody Wants to Die.

While his backstory is unknown, Dante's actions more than show his personality: that of a capricious and somewhat sadistic trickster, more interesting in causing chaos than anything else. This actually changes rather quickly though, has he forms a friendly rivalry with Puncher McFucker despite their goals and ideals being complete opposites. Despite his seemingly inconsistent nature, Dante proves to be a rather perceptive individual, showing that he is not some mindless creature with no ability to do anything but cause chaos.

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Immortality (Types 1, 3, and 4; Outsiders can reform from their essence present in their home plane), Regeneration (Mid; can regenerate most of his torso, including his head, after it was destroyed), Non-Physical Interaction (Magic can interact with non-corporeal, conceptual, and nonexistent beings), Damage Reduction, Chaos Manipulation, Law Manipulation (All demons play into the multiversal balance of Chaos and Law, with demons specifically being formed from raw chaos and increasing ambient chaos, and although their overall effects are very minor outside of Demon Princes, this can potentially send entire planes into the Abyss), BFR (Anything a demon consumes is sent to the Abyss), Fear Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Madness Manipulation, Memory Manipulation (Passively causes supernatural fear and mental damage simply by being viewed, potentially making them go insane and attack everything around them. His innards generate a black substances that causes unnatural fear and short-term memory loss on contact), Corruption (All types), Soul Manipulation (Interacting with a demon rends the soul and corrupts the flesh), Blood Manipulation (Blood spontaneously appears within the presence of a demon, pouring from walls and filling empty space, like buildings or holes in the ground. Piles of gore also appear without any corresponding deaths), Spatial Manipulation (A demon's presence creates mazes and buildings larger on the inside than on the outside), Weather Manipulation (Demons can drastically alter the weather by being present, such as causing blizzards in the middle of summer or earthquakes far from where they should occur), Power Modification (Magic looks corrupted and sickly in the presence of a demon), Minor Death Manipulation (Plants and animals within the same biome as a demon may randomly die off), Disease Manipulation (Creates of a lawful or good alignment are sicked by the presence of a demon), Animal Manipulation, Biological Manipulation (Wildlife near a demon can be corrupted into dire versions of themselves, becoming stronger and more aggressive), Possession, Non-Corporeal, Mind Manipulation, Sense Manipulation, Transformation (Even weak demons can possess others, becoming insubstantial wisps that not even other magical beings can touch in the process, to control their mind and senses. Those who are possessed have their biology altered into that of a demon over time), Astral Projection (Demons can freely project into the Astral Plane), Curse Manipulation, Statistics Reduction (Corrupter Demons can curse a target that they are possessing, drastically reducing its capabilities), Power Bestowal, Statistics Amplification (Enhancer Demons can give special properties to targets they are possessing, drastically improving its capabilities. Can reinforce objects with his aura to use them as weapons), Telepathy (All demons are capable of telepathy. Can show others his memories with Omnireceptacle), Fragrance Manipulation, Poison Manipulation (Passively releases a hellish scent that outright harms those who are too close), Martial Arts, Weapon Mastery, Explosion Manipulation (Chaos Hammer creates a multicolored explosion that heavily damages those of good or lawful alignment), Intangibility (Gaseous Form turns the caster into insubstantial mist. Can become intangible through Omnireceptacle), Teleportation, Unholy Manipulation, Summoning (Can summon multiple Hezrou and Little Witch Friends, the latter coming from inside the target), Creation (Can create "Gifts"), Resistance Negation (BLACK Damage ignores resistance to physical or mental damage, requiring specific resistance to it), Aura, Telekinesis (Can extend a black aura outwards to take control over objects that the aura touches), Earth Manipulation, Teleportation, Forcefield Creation, Matter Manipulation, Magnetism Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Durability Negation (Black Death Harmony creates an impermeable barrier of darkness, within which Dante can control anything down to the molecular level, breaking down matter by elongating or compressing it to cause extreme electromagnetic and gravitational interaction, to the point of acting "like a miniature Big Band"). Resistance to Magic, Reality Warping, Holy Manipulation, Subjective Reality, Soul Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Poison Manipulation, and Ice Manipulation

All Previous in addition to Immortality (Type 4; capable of simply leaving the land of the dead, Mandos, and returning to the material universe unless held in Mandos by force), Extrasensory Perception (Can sense insanity, even within the normal world from the Hungry World), Analytical Prediction (Pneumatic Burst allows the user to predict the trajectory of attacks, allowing them to drastically reduce the damage they take or even reflect attacks), Flight, Shapeshifting, Surface Scaling, Body Control, Fire Manipulation, Magma Manipulation, Darkness Manipulation (All Balrogs maintain control over flames and darkness), Electricity Manipulation (Even an incredibly weak Balrog created a massive storm during their battle with Gandalf), Reality Warping (Possesses a measure of control over the Hungry World. Can deal Chaos damage, which is caused by the unstable energy of the universe itself), Improved Madness Manipulation (All types; adept at driving people insane simply by talking to them without any supernatural interference. Can directly drive people insane through various means, and simply looking at or thinking about him can do the same), Invulnerability (The Ainur and Maiar are immune to conventional weaponry. Blade Barrier creates an impenetrable wall of blades that absorbs all damage), Absorption (Capable of absorbing the minds of others. Passively absorbs the energy from magical or energy-based attacks through Phantasmal Armor), Illusion Manipulation, Invisibility (Can create large, complex illusions. Shadow Strike uses illusions and "mental deflection" to make the user effectively invisible), Sleep Manipulation (Shadow Strike causes uncontrollable weariness to invade the target's mind, causing them to fall asleep instantly), Acid Manipulation (Can deal Acid damage through various means), Life Manipulation (Some attacks deal Vitality damage), Paralysis Inducement (Can stun targets), Blood Manipulation (Can cause targets to bleed extremely quickly with various attacks), Perception Manipulation (Can control whether or not someone can see him), Ice Manipulation (Can deal Cold damage), Healing, Empowerment (Deals more damage against humans due to having excellent knowledge of their anatomy and weaknesses), Power Nullification (Ring of Steel can cause a target to fumble their abilities, making it not take effect), Status Effect Inducement, Resurrection, Necromancy (Can resurrect himself or others), Animal Manipulation (Can control crowds of animals), Limited Fourth Wall Awareness, Spatial Manipulation (Can pull at space to open portals to and from the Hungry World, with this being shown as Nimble Jack directly interacting with the borders of the comic panel). Resistance to Death Manipulation, Durability Negation (Resistant to Pierce damage, which ignores armor), Ice Manipulation (Resistant to Cold damage, which can flash-freeze a target), Petrification, Mind Manipulation, Absorption (Can break out of Declan's mind drain)

All previous in addition to Immortality (Type 8; if Dante dies outside of the Twisting Nether, he will eventually reform there. He is also reliant upon the base chaos of the universe and the evil in the hearts of men), Non-Physical Interaction (Capable of interacting with highly abstracted platonic concepts), Abstract Existence (Type 2; Dante is the physical avatar of Chaos within the material universe), Acausality (Types 1 and 4; exists on a similar level to other gods, who are unaffected by Labelas Enorath potentially ceasing the flow of causality and existed before the concept of causality), Vastly Stronger Damage Reduction, Dimensional Travel, Enhanced Senses (Generally aware of things happening within other planes entirely as well as throughout his own. Possesses True Sight, allowing him to see the true forms of shapeshifters as well as abstract concepts, such as Gods), Magic, Paralysis Inducement, Blood Manipulation (Can paralyse others by taking control of their blood), Avatar Creation, Transformation (Can freely disperse into a swarm of bats or reform from such at will), Energy Manipulation, Soul Manipulation (Fel Magic is a manifestation of pure disorder that burns the souls and life-force of others to fuel itself), Poison Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, Water Manipulation (Can use The Skull of Gul'Dan to drastically corrupt an ecosystem, turning rivers to poison and saturating the area with toxic Fel Magic that warps the wildlife within), Enhanced Absorption (Can absorb others into his body), Death Manipulation (Can inflict Ability Drain through various means, which instantly kills the target should any of their abilities be completely removed), Reality Warping, Time Manipulation, Spatial Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), and Incomprehensibly Enhanced Chaos Manipulation (Possesses full control over his plane's space-time, and can even forcibly convert parts of other planes into his own, although this is difficult under normal circumstances. Holds power over the Chaos opposite to God's order), Aura, Plant Manipulation, Fungus Manipulation (His domain as a Demon Lord is that of fungus and plants, causing his mere presence to cause spontaneous plant growth on surfaces that don't normally allow it as well as cause massive parasitic infestations in nearby plants), Empowerment (Every chaotic or evil thought of feeling within men grants him power), Immortality and Regeneration Negation (Types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8, up to Mid-Godly; capable of permanently killing other Demon Lords), Power Nullification (Can nullify magic), Holy Manipulation, Willpower Manipulation, Text Manipulation (Can create symbols that cause those who view it to go insane or suffer a weakness of self). Resistance to Chaos Manipulation, Spatial Manipulation, Time Manipulation (Originates from the Twisting Nether, being immune to the effects of its nature such as chaotic energy that affects the flow of time and tears open space)

All previous in addition to Immortality (Types 5, 6, 7, and 9; as a Neverborn, he cannot die in a way that mortals understand the concept. Can only die if all of the beasts born from his Chaos die at at once, and even if they are killed his Chaos will live on within a new host. Usually operates through a puppet body while his true self is present within the Mindscape and Hungry World), Regeneration (High), Abstract Existence (Type 1), Acausality (Type 5; Daemons are living ideas and contradictions that exist above the concept of causality), Non-Corporeal (Exists as a disembodied consciousness which is itself composed of swirling dimensionless chaos), Lower-Dimensional Existence (Exists as a two-dimennsional projection), Quantum Manipulation (Exists in a state of quantum uncertainty, meaning that everything he is, he is not, and everything he is not, he is), Social Influencing, Mind Manipulation, Memory Manipulation, Paralysis Inducement, Soul Manipulation (His Mystic Eyes can cause hypnosis and paralysis and control the memories and souls of others), Dream Manipulation, Power Nullification, Clairvoyance (Can see through images of himself and sees everything seen by those who summon him), Elasticity, Berserk Mode, Rage Power, Technology Manipulation, Data Manipulation, Aura (His presence causes revulsion and various physical ailments in humans), Empathic Manipulation, Law Manipulation (As a Dead Apostle, Dante exists to defile the laws of man and human civilization. Due to this, legendary treasures born from human hands that are used against him will turn to dust or do nothing unless it is used by a proper Emissary of The Throne), Time Manipulation (Can stop time. His regeneration works by reversing time), Light Manipulation, Darkness Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Instinctive Reaction (His beasts will attack others and intercept attacks independent of his will and knowledge). Immunity to conventional weapons (His mystery is similar to that of a Servant, rendering him immune to attacks that lack such mystery), Resistance to Madness Manipulation (Can live indefinitely in the Nightmare Realm), Magic (All Magi are resistance to basic magical effects), Holy Manipulation, and Death Manipulation (The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception cannot see any lines or points within Dante, and his Chaos can live even after his "ultimate point" is pressed, forcing death onto the concept of his existence)

Attack Potency: Large Building level+ (Superior to TETH Abnormalities like Complete Food. Caused significant damage to Nuuk during his battle with Puncher). Unknown with Black Death Harmony | Town Level+ (Vastly stronger than Durin's Bane, who, while nearly dead and having spent the last three days fighting nonstop, destroyed a significant part of a large mountain on accident), Higher with Belgothian's Sheers and Shadow Strike (Belgothian's Sheers and Shadow Strike deal far more damage than Dante's normal attacks, as the former was able to horrifically deform Puncher's arm through sheer force despite his significant durability boosts). Unknown with Black Death Harmony | Country Level+ (Vastly superior to Father Llymic, who can instantly lower global temperatures by ten degrees. The Amazon Rainforest, which is a part of his body, was growing so quickly that it would weigh more than the entire South American continent in an hour) | High Hypoverse Level (Exists as a two-dimensional projection), Multi-Continent Level by possessing a body, Higher with Belgothian's Shears, Shadow Strike, and as the 999th Beast. Unknown with Black Death Harmony

Speed: Hypersonic (Can move at just barely below Mach 10) | Massively Hypersonic (Can move at around Mach 99), Higher with Amarasta's Quick Cut (In the space of a normal attack from a comparable opponent, Dante can strike thrice) | Sub-Relativistic (Can move at approximately .02c) | FTL

Lifting Strength: Peak Human | Class K | Class T | Class P

Striking Strength: Large Building Class+ | Town Class+ | Country Class+ | High Hypoversal Class physically, Multi-Continent Class by possessing a body, Higher as the 999th Beast

Durability: Large Building level+ (Could take many attacks from an amped Puncher and even prevented the destruction of most of his body when Puncher amplified his power as much as possible) | Town level+ | Country level+ | Unknown physically (His actual durability can fluctuate wildly, as damage to his form doesn't actually matter to him), Multi-Continent Level by possessing a body, Higher as the 999th Beast and with the Soil of Genesis

Stamina: Infinite (Requires no sustenance and can act indefinitely) | Infinite | Infinite | Infinite

Range: Standard Melee Range, up to Interdimensional with some abilities | Standard Melee Range, up to Interdimensional with some abilities | Below Standard Melee Range, up to Multiversal+ with some abilities | Standard Melee Range, up to Multiversal+ with some abilities

Standard Equipment: "Gifts", can produce E.G.O. equipment | All previous, swords and whips of flame and shadow | All previous | All previous

Intelligence: At least Gifted (While it is rarely demonstrated, Dante is a highly capable combatant and strategist, being vastly more intelligent than the majority of humans) | At least Gifted (On top of his previous intelligence, Dante is also an extremely clever manipulator, easily able to make people who, by all rights, appear totally mentally sound kill themselves in less than a minute by exploiting their flaws and even minor fears. Also possesses the intelligence of beings that helped create the universe and its rules) | Extraordinary Genius (More intelligent than an Elder Brain, which is the conglomeration of countless Mind Flayers, who maintained a space-fairing and interdimensional society, and their knowledge, with many individuals outclassing an Beholder, who plans for every possible event no matter how unlikely it is, in this aspect)

Standard Tactics: Dante is shown to be more interested in finding unique ways to utilize his abilities than using ones that would quickly end a fight, meaning that he doesn't lead with instant-win abilities unless its against someone he knows can't give him any tension or has another reason to be quick with. Moreover, he enjoys breaking down his opponent over time rather than killing them | Same as before, although he is more easily capable of determining if he needs to fight seriously against an opponent due to his ability to more thoroughly read them | Dante is much more passive by this point, likely due to his newfound affinity for plants and fungi. Despite this, he is still more than capable of reading his opponents to formulate an adequate counterattack on the fly | Same as before

Weaknesses: Possibly rather overconfident in his abilities and enjoys a good fight despite his relative inability to engage in such. His damage reduction is ignored by good-aligned weapons and his resurrection can take up to a century. Omnireceptacle must be used as a weapon, limiting its use somewhat | Same as before, although his resurrection is far, far faster | Same as before, although his resurrection is even faster, when he is within someone's mind, erasing their memories can erase him, he is weakened by the sun, and absorbing strong beings is time-consuming and painful.

Notable Attacks/Techniques: Possesses the combined abilities, physical capabilities, and intelligence of the Hezrou, although lacking its abstract physiology, Laetitia, a Balrog lacking its time travel, and Nimble Jack without his reliant immortality on insanity, Tichondrius, Zuggtmoy, the Lady of Rot with several abilities missing, Bill Cipher with his time travel and precognition removed, and Nero, in addition to Kouu's Omnireceptacle, The Taken's Nightblade Class, Dracula's Power of Chaos, and the physiology of a Chaos Daemon from Warhammer 40,000

  • Chaos Hammer: Dante unleashs chaotic power to his enemies. The power takes the form of a multicolored explosion of leaping, ricocheting energy. Only lawful and neutral (not chaotic) creatures are harmed by the spell
  • Unholy Blight: Dante calls up unholy power to smite his enemies. The power takes the form of a cold, cloying miasma of greasy darkness. Only good and neutral (not evil) creatures are harmed by the spell.

  • BLACK Damage: All of Dante's attacks deal "Black" damage, meaning they will both damage the person physically and mentally at the same time. When their mental health gets low enough, opponents will go insane, either committing suicide, fleeing, or lashing out at everything around them. This type of attack also ignores resistances to physical and mental damage, requiring specific resistance to BLACK damage.

  • Omnireceptacle: A Returner Talent originally owned by Kouu whose true nature is that of dominance, as it allows him to control all creation with his battle aura to use them as weapons. This includes lifting pieces of the ground and rubble and throwing them as projectiles and even taking over Touya's Lord Impaler's spikes and turning them back on him. The battle aura takes the form of a black aura that can extend from him into the object he wants to manipulate. Since his talent is required to be used as a weapon, Dante tends to simply cut himself when he uses it for other purposes, like teleporting himself.
    • Teleportation: Dante can teleport over long distances, and he can also teleport his followers to him.
    • Intangibility: Dante can turn intangible at will, allowing attacks to pass through him harmlessly.
    • Memory Insertion: By extending his aura into a person, Dante can allow them to see his memories.
    • Reinforcing: Dante can extend his aura into objects to reinforce and turn even a regular wooden branch into a combat staff.
    • Earth Golem: By extending his aura into the ground, Dante can create a large earth golem.
    • Black Death Harmony: The Omnireceptacle's barrier technique, which requires a short preparation time. Once his preparations are done, the enemy and Dante are surrounded by a black spherical barrier. On the inside, the enemy appears to be surrounded by infinite darkness, with Dante appearing as a white phantom that cannot be physically harmed and can depart whenever he wishes. Everything inside this enclosed space is subject to Dante's will on the molecular level, allowing him to break matter down by elongating it or compressing it, incandescence is created through extremely high movements and collisions of matter, and extreme magnetic and gravitational forces act on it in tandem.

  • Dual Blades (*): Mastery of dual-wielding melee weapons, favoring the use of blades and piercing implements.
    • Belgothian's Shears: The brawny Belgothian was an anomaly among the Nightblade masters, but he exceeded them all in raw power. Leveraging his strength in direct but lethal attacks like the shears, Belgothian could often finish an enemy in a single move.
    • Nidalla's Hidden Hand: The controversial Nightblade master Nidalla demonstrated the cruel effectiveness of poisons during the Age of Unreason when she combined the foul toxins with the Whirling Death technique, allowing her to prevail in battle against greatly superior numbers.
    • Amarasta's Quick Cut: Legendary for her speed, Amarasta's blades were said to sound like a whip through the air, leaving only streaks of light to fast for the eye to follow. masters of this technique can strike thrice in the space of a normal attack.
    • Whirling Death: A devastating technique intended for multi-target combat. Those that survive are left bleeding as if from a thousand cuts.
    • Execution: A merciless blow struck during a moment of opportunity, with the intent to quickly finish a foe. Those that survive are not likely to remain alive very long.
  • Amarasta's Blade Burst: Master of assassins Amarasta, legendary among the Nightblades for her alacrity, developed a technique by which she would unleash a burst of deadly phantasmal blades which spread out from the point of attack to impale all adjacent foes.
    • Lethal Assault: Committed to the offensive, Amarasta would continue her relentless assault following a blade burst to quickly and decisively finish off any surviving adversaries with her imbued weapons.
  • Veil of Shadow: A psionic veil clouds the minds of nearby enemies, slowing their movements and diminishing their effectiveness in combat.
    • Night's Chill: Causes foes affected by the Veil of Shadow to feel the dark chill of the nightfall over them, sapping their life and weakening their defenses.
  • Phantasmal Blades: A legendary technique of the Nightblades. Hurl a conjured blade infused with shadow magic that rends through flesh like paper.
    • Frenetic Throw: Dispense continuous volleys of phantasmal blades with frenetic speed but less killing power per blade.
    • Heart Seeker: With refined technique, Phantasmal Blades are conjured so sharp that they can pierce through multiple targets while invisible phantasmal threads draw vitality from the victims.
    • Nether Edge: Empowers the phantom blade with dark magic, a loathsome technique used only in the most dire circumstances.
  • Pneumatic Burst: Secret martial techniques of the Nightblades enable you to draw vital breath or "pneuma" from your surroundings for short bursts of speed and power. The metabolic acceleration caused by these vital breaths also confers minor healing.
    • Breath of Belgothian: Overly muscled and slow by Nightblade standards, part of Belgothian's success was attributed to his ability to recover health and outlast opponents through a profound mastery of the pneuma breathing technique.
    • Shadow Dance: Practice in combat meditation allows you to achieve a calm clarity in the heat of battle where you can calculate the path of enemy attacks and shift subtly to lessen the impact of weapon attacks on your armor or to deflect projectiles.
    • Elemental Awakening: Adept Nightblades can pull energy from the air or even foes their weapons come in contact with to deliver blows of intense cold.
  • Shadow Strike: A cunning combination of illusion and mental deflection allows you to seemingly vanish and reappear above your victim like a nightmarish specter.
    • Nidalla's Justifiable Ends: As a practitioner of poisons, found unsavory by most Nightblades, Nidalla maintained that the end justified the means. This toxic twist on the traditional Shadow Strike will ensure the end of any foe that survives the initial attack.
    • Nightfall: As Dante reappears and engages his prime target, a pall of darkness will descend upon surrounding enemies like the darkest, coldest night, chilling their blood and invading their minds with an uncontrollable weariness.
  • Phantasmal Armor: A Metaphysical barrier forms around Dante, brought into being by the focused power of mind and spirit. This barrier repels physical damage and transfers energy from magical attacks into his own pneuma reserves.
  • Ring of Steel: In the blink of an eye, hundreds of phantasmal blades encircle Dante at lethal speed, cutting down adjacent foes.
    • Ring of Frost: A powerful pneumatic technique causes the ring of steel to draw energy from the nearby air, magnifying cold damage and freezing foes but at the cost of piercing damage.
    • Circle of Slaughter: Vicious phantasmal blades slice deep into foes caught within the ring, spilling copious amounts of blood.
  • Blade Barrier: For a master Nightblade, Belgothian was rumored to lack fine control of his conjuring; but he had the unremitting willpower to summon so many blades that they would form an impenetrable shield surrounding him, giving him a moment of respite from his foes.
  • Anatomy of Murder: Knowledge prized by royal assassins, the extensive study of anatomy familiarizes you with all of the most vulnerable and damaging locations in which to slide a blade.
  • Blade Trap: Dante's command of Nightblade techniques allows him to entrap enemies within a prison of deadly phantasmal blades.
    • Devouring Blades: The phantasmal blades drain the life essence of the foes trapped within their grasp, transferring it to Dante.
  • Merciless Repertoire: Though traditionally shunned, sometimes a knowledge of poisons and elemental powers can be the most effective means to gain the upper hand in combat.
  • Blade Spirit: Conjures a swirling cloud of lethal blades that will roam the battlefield, slicing enemies to pieces.

  • Power of Chaos: Dante acts as the physical herald of Chaos, the abstract entity who is the embodiment of root of all Evil and Chaotic things, making him a partial Dark Lord. Dante's very existence is one connected to the Chaos within the heart of every human, with every chaotic thought and feeling produced by humanity empowering him. Similarly, as long as humanity exists and continue to have a chaotic existence, Dante will never truly die. In combat, Dracula can tap into Chaos' power directly, allowing him to transform into his most powerful form.

  • Dead Apostle: Nrvnqsr is a Dead Apostle, a superhuman, immortal, vampiric undead being that has refined his inherent human traits throughout his unnatural lifespan, allowing him to reach supernatural levels of strength, which was then passed on to Dante . Due to his great age and the nature of his existence, conventional weapons are useless on him. While immortal, he must continuously feed on others to maintain this immortality, otherwise his body will turn to ash.
    • Denier of Human History: Dead Apostles are beings diametrically opposed to Heroic Spirits. While servants uphold, protect, and support human civilization, Dead Apostles exist to defile the laws of man. Legendary treasures born from the hands of humanity will have their "divine protection" destroyed. However, this does not apply to the weapons created by the gods themselves. Unless Legendary Treasures and Noble Phantasms are wielded by the proper "Emissary of The Throne," they will be totally useless against dead apostles. The weapons either glance off with no effect or crumble to dust.
  • Magecraft: The art of achieving conventionally possible ends through supernatural means.
    • Soil of Genesis: An ancient spell from the Age of Gods taught to Nrvnqsr by Roa. It allows Nrvnqsr, or now Dante, to manipulate five hundred of his parts to form an imprisoning mass that requires the firepower needed to obliterate an entire continent in order to destroy.
  • Lair of the Beast King: Nrvnqsr's Reality Marble, inherited by Dante. This is what is responsible for his nature, as it allows him to absorb other creatures and merge his existence with their own, transforming them into "Chaos", which he can then control. As opposed to other Reality Marbles, which are imposed on the world, Dante only contains his within his own body, thus avoiding the World's corrective impulses and allowing him to use it theoretically indefinitely, as long as he regularly consumes humans to fuel his magical energy.

His body can be likened to a primordial sea of chaos, effectively a world of its own. It has no form, meaning, or direction, and is constantly changing. The chaos takes the form of a black, tar-like substance. He can use it to absorb others, spread it over the ground to trap them, and can otherwise manipulate it as he pleases. It is made up of the 666 beasts that its previous user Nrvnqsr has absorbed into his being, each one of which is an extension of him. A human body should only be able to contain thirty conventional beasts, but Dante contains twenty times that, and his beasts include members of the Phantasmal Species, such as unicorns and even a low-ranking dragon. His beasts can take the form of any animal on Earth when he releases them, and not even he is completely sure what beasts he'll release upon the world. Dantecan condense all his beasts into a single form that acts as the ultimate expression of his strength, the 999th Beast.

If a beast is killed, it simply returns to the chaos within Dante and is reformed. Normal attacks are meaningless against him, and not even Arcueid can kill Nrvnqsr under normal conditions. To destroy him, all 666 of his beasts and his own life must be taken at once. Even when Shiki stabs Nrvnqsr's "Ultimate Point" and erases his existence, Nrvnqsr is killed, his Chaos endures and is able to reform with a new host.
