A subgenre of Fantasy typically taking a less than noble and bright tone in their settings and stories, with many at times revolving around much grimmer and darker set of themes commonly incorporated into their plot. With a rather famous example being that of Kentaro Miura's Berserk, which places its protagonists in a decrepit, dangerous world which at times is void of any manner of hope or justice and is populated with depraved monsters and individuals out for the blood of the innocent. The most well known form of Dark Fantasy is Supernatural Fantasy, which involves tales of Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, and the Undead.
