Buttercup Utonium is one of the main protagonists of the franchise, being one of the four titular main protagonists (alongside Blossom, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Bubbles) of Sonic and the Powerpuff Girls and a minor character of Courage the Cowardly Dog: The Old Stories of Brunette.
