Summary[]
Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin', as well as the Blueballs Incident mod. In this version of reality, Boyfriend is part of the Troll Containment Foundation, a multiversal organization dedicated to containing Trollge individuals. He was first involved with the organization when a transport error caused him to be brought to Exhalted, an escaped Trollge pianist. Despite his lack of proper equipment to deal with Trollges, he managed to subdue and befriend Exhalted, allowing him to be taken into custody. After Exhalted eventually let himself die for good, Boyfriend officially joined the organization.
He was involved in and was the source of the name of "The Blueballs Incident", an incident where a Trollge by the name of Legion managed to distract him long enough to kidnap and corrupt Girlfriend and escape containment. While in the original timeline of events, Boyfriend failed to save Girlfriend and Legion took over Boyfriend's entire home dimension, intervention from a mysterious third party allowed him to go back and save Girlfriend, eventually leading to Legion's destruction.

This property allows Boyfriend's voice to damage TP Cells-based beings and nullify their powers, preventing them from affecting Boyfriend for as long as he sings. While Boyfriend usually uses it to sing against opponents, the microphone will affect the opponent as long as any sound is used with it, seemingly increasing in potency with the volume. If Boyfriend fails to properly sing against an opponent, their power will affect him more and more.
