“ | No, This isn’t suicide. I don’t want to die here, like this. I know the Wasteland sucks. Every single person knows that. But I also know that, so long as folks think the right way is more killing, nothing is going to get better. I’d like to live. I’d like to go back to Glory and tell her what an idiot I’ve been. But I also know… just like every one of you knows… that there is no easy way out. Never. I don’t know what this Cognitum has told you, Dawn. I don’t know what the Core has to offer. But I do know that there is no simple fix to the Wasteland. No saving it. There’s only doing better, and making the hard choice. | „ |

Fallout Equestria created by Kkat
Blackjack and Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons created by Somber
Death, Blackjack had fully succumbed to the cancer and radiation that was wrecking her body. She had died, and her soul had passed on to the world of stars, seeing all the grandeur of the universe in its origin.
The Stars showed her the beginning of life on Equestria. The centerpiece of a cosmic schism that shook the very universe. Her world, her life was simply a cog in the machine of war between universal constructs. Watching with horror as the twisted spirit corrupted the Sun and Moon sisters of legend. The Stars had wanted to spare Blackjack's soul from the torment she would be destined to face. But she refused, shunning the idea that she can run away from such a cosmic catastrophe, and leave her friends to die.
It was with that notion, that she returned to the living world. A world significantly altered by cybernetics and synthetics. Blackjack had become a cyberpony, complete with retractable hands and thumbs.
Following a brief drunken adventure with the Stable Dweller Blackjack had learned that Sanguine was destroying every outpost she had visited before arriving at Tenpony, having grown desperate in obtaining EC-1101. With no time to spare, Blackjack and company leave Tenpony Tower. Hoping to stop Sanguine's ambitions once and for all.
Appearance[]
Blackjack is a white unicorn pony, sporting a red and black mane motif, serving as a compliment to her playing card theme.
Post death Blackjack's body was plugged top to bottom with cybernetics. Both keeping her alive and to assist in combat. Her eyes still glow though that's now due to them doubling as video projectors with a red tinted flashlight.
Her most prominent appearance change is her limbs, which have been entirely replaced with prosthetics. Notably she can mold her hooves into mailable hands, to better hold and utilize equipment.
As for the rest of her body, only a select few vital organs survived the cyborgnization process.
Despite the more imposing appearance Blackjack's body is again not as durable as one might be led to believe, and it'd be foolish to believe it can endure more heavy armaments' like a tank, as they are notably combustible.
Personality[]
Like her appearance Blackjack as an individual changes very drastically throughout the events of Project Horizons. At her core, she is a jovial, peace loving, drunkard on the outside however this is only to mask the great pains she constantly feels within. Blackjack abhors the lawless conditions and mentalities associated with The Wasteland and will go out of her way to enforce whatever she can define as peace.
As with Littlepip when she first left the stable Blackjack initially had an extremely sheltered and limited world view. Being almost completely unable to comprehend what would drive ponies to madness. Her own always do better mentality caused her early on to feel immense pressure. this pressure compounded with immense feelings of regret in regards to innocents and friends she got killed, or had to kill, often lead Blackjack to thoughts and even acts of attempted suicide. However, through the help of her friends, and their reassurance that she was important and was making a positive impact on the world she learned and realize that she had and could persevere more than any other pony. With her past in mind she pushes forward with the faith of others and her history to remind her to never give up, to always push to do better and be better.
For this section of this story as well as the ones that follow, more than ever Blackjack's regrets come to reinforce her do better, be better life motto. She's come to terms with that killing herself when others less fortunate have died in her name would only make their deaths feel ever more meaningless. She continues her quest with that in mind not just for her sake, but the ponies who gave their lives to make discovering the secrets of the Hoof possible.

Once activated the spell presents users with a HUD of the chances of their attack hitting their target. Once released all attacks are carried out automatically.
- E.F.S.: E.F.S., short for Eyes Forward Sparkle, is a sensory spell that when activated gives the user an indication of lifeforms surrounding them, making several assertions and determining whether or not they are a threat to the user.
- EC-1101: Program embedded into her Pipbuck that gives her access to highly powerful pre apocalypse weapons. A spirit named The Dealer is embedded into the program, he can help Blackjack with advice on how to deal with certain situations.

- Star Metal Sword: Sword made of the same material that cases Trottenheimer's Folly's ammunition it is the strongest known material on Equus.
- Vigilance: A 12.7 MM pistol, and family heirloom of Blackjacks. Despite its ammo weight it has a surprisingly decent amount of travel to its shots.
- Taurus Rifle: Heavily Modified Standard issue scoped hunting rifle, Blackjack picks it up after the owner it was named after was killed by Deus, its shots were able to pierce Deus's armor point blank, and it works great in long distance shootouts.
- "Loaded Down": Advanced Assault Rifle with armor piercing rounds.
- Duty and Sacrifice: Twin 5 Shot 45 Caliber Revolvers, they were specifically made to be fired telekinetically and thus prove extremely effective in combat due to their armor piercing abilities.
Notable Abilities/Techniques:
- Telekinesis: Blackjack can use the ever basic telekinesis spell to lift small objects like firearms or other weapons.
- Energy Projection: Blackjack has the ability to fire "Telekinetic Rounds". Pockets of air she has encased in a layer of Telekinesis that she can fire like a bullet.
- Mind/Memory Reading: Blackjack can read the minds and memories of others or even transfer them to herself if she touches the target's forehead with her horn.
- Teleportation: Blackjack can teleport herself 3 feet using her teleportation spell. Due to her inexperience and cybernetics, she can only teleport herself, and use of the spell will leave Blackjack completely exhausted.
- Passive Fate Manipulation: It is revealed in the final section of the story that Blackjack has always been able to manipulate fate to her favor passively, given she can meet certain requirements to trigger an ability. The ability was first theorized by Cognitum, and several other characters of seemingly higher origin (Discord, The Stars, and The Dealer), have all respectively given credence to the ability's existence. In it Blackjack can alter her fate to "win" contests against others at the cost of losing something of high personal value. The conditions for reaching this state are extremely vague as it was able to be triggered for the first time to help Blackjack avoid trouble in killing someone who beat her in a benign card game. Full extent of the ability surpasses the comprehension of the universe governing Star Spirits, beings who are capable of seeing into an infinite number of timelines.. The ability is subtly displayed and referenced on Blackjack's cutie mark, an Ace and Queen of Spades. According to The Dealer (Himself a ethereal cosmic being who feeds on suffering.) and Cognitum Blackjack may always win in some extreme fashion if she can pay a heavy cost and suffer in return. Throughout the events of Project Horizons the variation of what can be defined as anteable has varied drastically, be it Blackjack offering pieces of her own flesh and blood, the lives of those close to her, ponies that would be painful to lose, or more meta concepts and ideas. Blackjack clinically dies 3 or 4 times yet even in death the ability has kept her in the game as it were. The ability however is more inclined to keep Blackjack in a perpetually tortured state, is situation dependent, and will not full take effect if Blackjack is unable to ante up something to trigger the ability, be it lacking a more vested interest in the conflict in question.
Intelligence: Average, Blackjack is a mare that by her own admission is not as smart as the peers that surround her. More often than not she will base most of her decisions on feelings over something feasibly smarter for the long term. As previously stated however, this is by her own admission and she is fully aware of where in that mindset she could end up being predictable at first glance. This self awareness of being the pony with "The Biggest Heart in the Wasteland" and her other traits has allowed her to get the drop on her opponents by doing the opposite of what they might be predicting. Along with that Blackjack has had bouts of good decision making when it comes to highly stressful situations.
Weaknesses: Must maintain power by consuming scrap metal, rocks, or gems in particular. Failure to maintain power will result in her being put in a coma. Excessive use of magic, or use of more exhausting spells (Teleporting) will render her horn inert for some time. She has a Magically Induced Tumor that can make her more prone to Mind based attacks. Pipbuck is vulnerable to EMPs. E.F.S. does not inform its users what kind of life it finds and has trouble with elevation. Stealthbuck only lasts an hour and requires an hour of recharge time after each use. Blackjack's fate manipulation requires her to "ante up" something of extremely high value to her personally. Holds an extreme amount of regret for her past actions, and is easy to manipulate emotionally. Taking excess drugs can overexert her body and kill her. Can be very predictable at times.“ | I’ve never liked gravity. It’s not heights that’re my problem. It’s falling. It’s the idea of gravity pulling you downward. The sense that there was some force constantly clutching at you simply because it could. It didn’t matter how hard you tried or what you wanted, gravity was always there; inescapable, inexhaustible, and unforgiving. | „ |

Blackjack and Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons created by Somber
Sanguine was stopped, Discord freed, Hightower cleansed, and the Highlanders were put into the ground, but trouble still found its way into Blackjack's mind. Further tormented by the ever growing control of The Goddess, Blackjack, in ever lowering mental depravity seeks to right the world before her, no matter how much pain she endures.
She has two missions before her now, stopping Lighthooves, a genocidal maniac, from declaring civil war on The Enclave, and from unleashing a dangerous bio weapon, which would turn everypony into meat obsessed husks. Fitting to also find out EC-1011s true nature in the mean time.
With her new augmentations, Blackjack thrusts her mentally shaken group to the Society, hoping to borrow their aircraft and stop Lighthooves before it was too late. Before the Goddess's strings could further seep into her, or the end of the world would come.
Appearance[]
Blackjack is a white unicorn pony, sporting a red and black mane motif, serving as a compliment to her playing card theme.
Prior to battling a tank Blackjack required further upgrades, as it was clear she ignored previous descriptors or warnings. Her hooves and frame have now been fitted with reinforced tank barding. Allowing her to take and endure far more than she could previously. A minor side effect of these upgrades saw her lose the ability to turn her hooves into hands due to a glitch.

Fallout Equestria created by Kkat
Blackjack and Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons created by Somber
A horrifying predicament befalls Blackjack again. The stress, the mind bending stress of her mission all but sees her in torture in every waking moment, the death of herself and her friends further bespells a madness within her, one curated by her new augmentations.
More Machine than pony, more automaton than moral, she lashes out in futility, threating to kill the Stable occupants of Shadowbolt Tower, Lighthooves mission was irrelevant. All of this to her was irrelevant compared to what she thought she had lost, herself. The stars dark prophecy seemingly being true.
But a voice, a lone voice that she did not recognize through sound but in emotion, stopped her pain and agony, Boo, uttered her first word, "Blackjack". The pony she had worked to raise, do right for unconditionally, and save, had grown! For as much as she had lost already, she would only continue to lose more precious things if her mind went astray, and so she subsided her anger, as a calm wind overtook her.
But the transfiguration into a cyber alicorn had revealed yet another reason to fight on, she was pregnant. The child of hers and P-21 rested in her new, disfigured body. With a newfound vigor and courage she reasoned with herself to continue forward, to stop Lighthooves bio weapon and forge a future where she can start a family...happily...
In her final fight with the maniacal madpony Lighthooves, Blackjack emerged victorious. Not wanting the tower's destruction to trigger the release of Lighthooves bio weapon, she activated one of the towers resting megaspell protocols, which would implode the tower in on itself. As the spell went off Blackjack, exhearting the last of her power reserves, flew against the black hole like pull, as buildings and decrepit buildings were plucked from the ground into the ever growing sphere. Finally having survived the hell storm, Blackjack fell into the core with Boo clinging on to her. Her power reserves drained, it was only by sheer chance that she survived. However the damage to her systems made moving impossible, henceforth for the next 3 months, she spent her time as a metallic vegetable teaching Boo all she could like a mother, as she eventually regained her strength, periodically using the perceptitron to see the impact Security's absence would have on Hoofington.
Appearance[]
Blackjack is a unicorn pony, sporting a red and black mane motif to compliment her naming motif.
In this key Blackjack endures her most violent transformation thus far. She is now 90% cyborg with only her reproductive organs and brain being left of her vital flesh and blood. Her new body sees her adorned with 2 wings to her side, as she has now become a cyber alicorn.
The pain that this transformation brought upon her can be seen no more clearly than her face. Of which is now almost entirely a frightful automaton. A chilling reminder of the pain she has endured.

Range: Melee Range unarmed, Several Meters with weapons
- Pipbuck: A Inventory Management, Health Monitoring, PDA System Fused to the bone of her front right hoof, Blackjack uses a highly modified at this point to allow her to monitor her vitals and use the device via a HUD built into her eyes. The device can track enemies up to a kilometer away, manage Medical Supplies, help her hack into other devices and do the following with pre-automated spells:
- S.A.T.S.: S.A.T.S., short for Stable-Tec Arcane Targeting Spell, is a targeting spell that slows the users perception of time to a crawl and allows them to more accurately deal with targets.
- EC-1101: Program embedded into her Pipbuck that gives her access to highly powerful pre apocalypse weaponry. A spirit named The Dealer is embedded into the program, he can help Blackjack with advice on how to deal with certain situations.
- Stealthbuck: The Stealthbuck is an add on for Pipbucks designed to replicate the abilities, of a Zebra cloak, it completely makes the user invisible and cancels out any noise the user would make to a degree.
- Healing Potion: Provides Low-Low Regeneration if consumed
- Combat Shotgun: Shotgun with drum magazines, a running gag in the story is how Blackjack loves to break these.
- Vigilance: A 12.7 MM pistol, and family heirloom of Blackjacks. Despite its ammo weight it has a surprisingly decent amount of travel to its shots.
- Mane Six Statuettes: 6 Statues of the Mane Six from the MLP Friendship is Magic TV Series series, these statuettes each contain a small fragment of each respective pony and Rarity's soul, it is strongly hinted that these statues if all united can give their respective holder resistance to Mind and Empathic Manipulation from even the strongest of Alicorn Magic and The Goddess.
- Penance: Highly Advanced Prototype Sniper Rifle that has low kick back when enveloped in magic.
- Teleportation: Blackjack can teleport herself small distances using her teleportation spell. Due to her inexperience and cybernetics, she can only teleport herself, and use of the spell will leave Blackjack completely exhausted.
- Mind/Memory Reading: Blackjack can read the minds and memories of others or even transfer them to herself if she touch the targets forehead with her horn.
Flying uses an extreme amount of power and she can only fly for five minutes before shutting down. Excessive use of magic, or use of more exhausting spells will render her horn inert for some time. Can be very predictable at times.Other[]
