Summary[]
Season One[]
Be My Rimworld Pawns is a playthrough of Rimworld by Mr. Bambu wherein he invited various members of VS Battles Wiki to serve as his pawns – the users would create their backstories and choose their passions and skills (with as much or as little details as they liked). The original thread garnered 13 volunteers, with 3 individuals joining after the start. This verse follows the gameplay reports of that thread, which can be found here.
In brief: Rimworld takes place on a rim world (that is, a world on the frontier of space with no real central civilization or society). The world is barbarous, featuring many civilizations of varying levels of technology, ranging from neanderthal tribes to spacer-tech empires. The colonists of BMRP struggle to survive under harsh conditions in the jungle mountains of Kaunt, eventually constructing a small country known as the Weebscaler Accord.
Season Two[]
Several months after the first thread, a second thread was created, under the premise of instead attempting to do a purely medieval colony. The plot was related to the old via the introduction of Psycho, a character from Season One that remained alive in this future colony, nearly a thousand years since the Weebscaler Accord began. It was revealed that he was a lich, and set out to the far reaches of the Imperium's territory to learn esoteric magic. In doing so, he attracted to him followers and disciples, and formed the kingdom of Wratholme- although he was not the formal ruler of this new kingdom, he was the mind behind the throne, so to speak.
Season Three[]
Once again, some months after the conclusion of Wratholme's story arc, came another thread. This time linked with non-VSBW members, the thread was focused on warfare and bloodshed. It followed the story of another original colonist, Crabwhale (now known as Crabbius the Great), in his efforts to liberate a rebellious planet called Golgohrra. Taking place about 50 years after the start of the establishment of the Weebscaler Accord, much of the Accord's leadership has been absorbed into the greater Imperium government, and indeed Crabbius serves as a general of the stellar empire. Users signed up to be marines in a war of giants and demigods serving under the mostly-cybernetic general clad in gold.
Season Four[]
Who knows what may come...
Powers of the Verse[]
As a standard, BMRP follows much the same power levels of Rimworld (that is to say, largely falling within tier 9 with up to tier 7 technology). However, due to the inclusion of a great number of mods, the verse features certain large departures – melee weaponry and bionics extend far beyond usual physical parameters, reaching into low-end Tier 8 physicals, and psycasts similarly reach into Tier 7 with far wider applications in terms of hax- including time manipulation, BFR, corrosion inducement, paralysis inducement, and more.
- Baseline armed pawns can scale to 9-A via the mining calculation. The damage for industrial weapons like carbines and assault rifles is not significantly above this nor do they scale to the next echelon up, so Industrial tech and down seems to land in Small Building level.
- With bionics/peak industrial/baseline spacer tech, a pawn ought to scale to the full impact of Neural Heat Dump, which would yield 9-A+. This includes things like Imperium troopers and most Ignotus.
- Characters significantly above janisarries scale to high-end monsters such as Feralisk Clutch Mothers, who can survive a fall from space (calculated at 8-C). Cataphracts and their peers scale here casually.
- The greatest monsters, those who easily fodderize the might of peak Feralisks, scale to the Chthonian, who can tear massive holes in the earth by moving. This includes most high-end spacer tech colonists, including those wielding Royal Charge weapons or Bolter weapons. Those in this tier are High 8-C.
- Finally, post-spacer tech- extremely experimental weapons such as the APB-1- can atomize creatures as large as an elephant in a few shots. This is calculated at 8-B, although does not scale to anyone directly as of yet.
- Many of the most powerful weapons in the verse have personas that can afford a damage multiplier of up to 5x. These weapons, and those who are comparable to them, can reach 8-B in strength via multipliers, without scaling to the APB-1.
- Greater feats exist- psycasts have a calculated range of 9-A to 8-A, depending on the strength of the caster, with the most powerful psycast, Fire Beam, having a Low 7-C calculation. It is extraordinarily taxing to perform and places the user in a coma, and thus is not assumed to scale to psycasts on a similar level.
- Similarly, certain mechs and special weapons have greater feats: the most powerful terrestrial artillery are regarded as Low 7-C via the antigrain warhead, for example, and the Diabolus has a 7-C calculation for its cannon.
- Starships have various feats, the greatest of which is the Mi-Go ships capable of causing earthquakes via unknown mechanisms; this is placed at 6-C due to the severity of the earthquakes.
- Users of the Warlord tree can boost their move speed considerably. Focus, Adrenaline Rush, and Speed Boost give well over a 5x boost to one's speed.
- As an example. Comiphorous' base speed is 12.6 cells/second, or 18.9 m/s (Superhuman). With Focus, this gets bumped to 16.36 c/s (24.54 m/s), with Adrenaline Rush it becomes 24.56 c/s (36.84 m/s), and with Speed Boost it becomes 73.68 c/s (110.52 m/s). His leap is somewhat faster than this and may be considered Subsonic+ in a borderline case such as this.
- Many characters have small boosts- Exoskeleton Suits, Work Boots, and Jogger traits, for example, give small buffs.
- Mounts who provide increased speed on the worldmap possess a calculated pace of low-end Subsonic.
- Individuals with high-end bionic legs are assumed to be capable of movement speeds of up to Superhuman, given the stated ability to outspeed vehicles; even using only 60 mph, this results in high-end Superhuman.
- Large pack animals scale higher at about 20 metric tons for toting large volumes of stone as well as multiple elephant corpses.
- Significantly larger characters ought to upscale somewhat, although none are significant enough that I'd consider them outside of Class 25.
- Certain pawns can fight essentially indefinitely. Ignotus is vastly superhuman in this regard (who require no sleep and very little food), as are the Bellators (who require very little food and very little sleep).
- Characters also have pain feats, with many continuing to fight after losing limbs (such as Azontr in his fight against the Odin).
- Melee weapons obviously tend to stay in extended melee range. Polearms have an argument for several meters not mechanically but implicitly.
- Pawns with significant levels (6) in Intellectual should be given Above Average, whereas a higher level like (8) could be considered gifted and (12) could be considered genius. By the top of this tree (19-20), you are specifically amongst the best of the human race and thus Extraordinary Genius.
- Persona cores are specifically comparable to the top tier of humanity and should be considered Extraordinary Genius.
