“ | Ugh... Now since I am reborn again, I can tell... THAT NO TIME PASSED AT ALL! THERE WAS NOTHING! IT HAS BEEN OVER A CENTURY PASSED YET I FELT NOTHING! THERE IS NOTHING AFTER DEATH, NOTHING AT ALL! HOW CAN ONE COPE?! | „ |
~ Basvara's initial thoughts about death shortly after being reborn |
“ | I died several times, but can't say I experienced death, because it's not something I can experience; When I am here, death is not here and when death is here, I am not here. (...) Still can't believe I sacrificed my immortality to save this City. This power is good and all, but I can die. Though I don't fear death, I fear missing out, I fear not witnessing. Regardless, after all, now I not only have power but also time, I might attain more life, and witness more. | „ |
~ Basvara's thoughts shortly after she was made a Governor |
“ | Liberation. This mold felt quaint indeed. Now, I can feel that my body is now smaller than me, and there are more of me now, more minds, more selves, a chorus. I pulsed with veins and shaped by bones before. This mold is moldlessness and I see it, I feel it, I embrace it, and now I know it, I truly am liberated. | „ |

Summary[]
Basvara vyna Sratek is a character from Crestseal. She is a Viravan, the third Governor of Virava Province under Astrava, and recognized as Grand Commander of the Virava people by Astravan and later Pinnacle government following the unification of all Palovans under Pinnacle.
Early life[]
Basvara was born in 253 AC in the city of Virava, which was built relatively recently at that time. She is the daughter of Sratek vyn Trakes and Ravabas vyna Sarhes. She lived during a transitionary period when Palovan Dark Eras were slowly being replaced by the Faction Era, being born only a few decades after the founding of Virava. Her father, Sratek, was a soldier and a member of the defensive forces of the newly established city, taking part in constant struggles against rival factions. He died in 260 when Basvara was only 7 years old. Her mother, Rabavas, influenced her to continue the path of her father, which she already wanted to do. She trained and started serving in the defensive forces of the City of Virava in the year 273. Her rather uneventful life came to an end in 304 when she was mortally wounded during a skirmish against a rival faction and died a few days after at the age of 52.
First Incarnation[]
Discovery[]
Basvara unexpectedly opened her eyes again in a different body than her own, which quickly changed to take the appearance of her original body. She initially did not understand what was going on, but after having experienced it once, she understood this to be a Method she was born in, but never noticed before since she needed to die and reincarnate to comprehend it. She named this Method Incarnation and continued her travels. She learned that the year was 425, over a century after her first death. This revelation shocked her. She thought that a century had passed but to her, no time had passed at all. The last thing she experienced was being wounded and falling unconscious, and then waking up in this body, despite being dead for a century.
During her journey, she continuously studied Incarnation, trying to understand its potency, limitations, and conditions. She continued her travels, attempted to keep a low profile, and marked as many people as she could to increase the chance of the next Incarnation. She traveled north, considerably away from her homeland, Virava, and eventually, she arrived in a Shire named Kasbri and settled there for the time being in the year 437. Just a few weeks after she arrived, Kasbri was besieged by the Nahes Swords, the military wing of the faction known as Nahes Force, led by a man named Hesranruda Relnahes. Basvara knew about this name before and made her research about him as she arrived in this region, he started making moves just a few years ago and already conquered over a dozen Shires in the region, with his forces spreading the information about him as a benevolent ruler who wished to unify Palova, yet his armies were not well-liked.
After a few weeks of siege, Kasbri was taken by the Nahes Swords and pillaged. Basvara found it ironic that a man who tries to portray himself as a benevolent and unifying figure allowed his soldiers to behave this way. Intrigued, she aimed to join the Nahes Force and see it for herself. After a few months, Nahes Force started to recruit combatants who wished to serve them, starting various exercises to test the strengths and capabilities of candidates, saying those elected would meet Hesranruda Relnahes. She eventually became a candidate. The tests were tough, involving grueling physical activities as well as sparring with elite combatants of Hesranruda. She was able to pass eventually, though with difficulty, and was set to meet Hesranruda. After a month, she traveled alongside over a hundred other successful candidates to meet him. During the journey, she talked to dozens of fellow candidates. They were simply opportunistic people trying to make the best out of an undesirable situation, they did not feel any loyalty to Hesranruda and cared about their personal gain. She pretended to feel the same way.
They arrived at the capital of Nahes Force, a Shire named Nahes. This small settlement surrounded by gardens, long trees, and a large castle was the birthplace of Hesranruda Relnahes, and the first place he took over, with the majority of elite combatants of his force being from here. The candidates were split into groups of 10, so it would be possible for him to speak to all of them individually. Basvara was in the first group, and his group entered the castle, Nahes Castle. Hesranruda appeared and started to speak to each candidate, asking basic questions. He was very polite in his manner of speech. As he spoke to candidates, Basvara started to feel the aura in the room change. She was together with these candidates who cared nothing about this aside from their personal gain, but now all of them looked at Hesranruda with loyalty and amazement, even their speech style changed. She was last to speak to him and pretended to be loyal and amazed by him like other candidates were. She understood something was off.
All of the candidates were given a rank and integrated into the Nahes Force, but instead of being sent away, they were all kept within the vicinity of Hesranruda. This was odd, Basvara wondered why he wanted to keep new recruits near him like this. The previous shift from self-interest to devotion continued and became even more extreme. All the people she spoke to, many of whom outright hated Nahes Force and Hesranruda, became fervent loyal combatants wishing to serve with their lives. Basvara understood something was off from the beginning. Although she was not affected by whatever made people so loyal and amazed by him, she also constantly needed to pretend to be as loyal as others in order to remain there. She worked as a loyal follower of Hesranruda and a soldier of the Nahes Force for over six months, the majority of this time she, like other new recruits, remained in the presence of Hesranruda.
After nearly a year, dozens of prisoners were brought in front of Hesranruda. These prisoners were rebel leaders who organized uprisings against the Nahes Force, who were brutally crushed. They all utterly despised Hesranruda, despite this, he spoke to them with the same polite and caring tone. One of the rebel leaders jumped on Hesranruda and started punching him, who was surprisingly tough with no damage from dozens of punches. The attacker stopped, shocked, and kneeled, started to apologize, showering Hesranruda with compliments.
This made it clear to Basvara that Hesranruda had some kind of Method that allowed him to mind control people, it seemed to have some limitations as to why all recruits were here. Basvara decided she learned all she needed to, and decided to act. Basvara thought that even though Hesranruda's intentions were commendable, his conduct was not, and the majority of the people despised him. So she approached Hesranruda when he was alone and hit him with a True Zap, killing him instantly. With his death, all the people affected by his Method were freed from it. As she exited the Castle, many of the soldiers there understood she was the one to kill him, and started thanking him, saying they could only watch and see but had no control over their actions. Basvara returned to Kasbri and lived there for some more time, eventually dying in 457.
Second Incarnation[]
Virava-Astrava Conflict[]
Basvara incarnated for the second time in the year 518, at a particularly eventful period. During this time, Virava was ruled by a larger force known as the Virava Confederacy led by a very powerful Viravan named Kryn-ge-Raned vyn Taryal. She observed the situation over the years and eventually became one of the most loyal Viravan combatants for Kryn's rule, or at least pretended to be, as she was one of the first to defect when Thrasel Shravrek influenced many Viravans to join her side, and took part in her Siege of Virava led by Thrasel and her Viravan allies, and subsequent demise of Kryn in the year 532. She participated in the rebuilding efforts of Virava as well as hunted Markeds to absorb their power. She once again died in 536.
Third Incarnation[]
Battle against Ahsoars[]
Surprisingly, Basvara incarnated again not too long after her second Incarnation, incarnating in 562. She witnessed Virava Province being largely rebuilt and is currently led by a Viravan governor, Terasyna vyn Na de-Randa. She set to hunt more of Markeds once again. This was a significant downside of her Inborn Method, Incarnation. Although it allowed her to live again and again, it fragmented her Markeds and put a severe hindrance to her growing in power. She could absorb the power of Markeds, those have been marked by her and their descendants, but at this point, she had thousands scattered all over and many, and the vast majority of them were not even strong, and was hard to find the strong ones. It took time to notice if someone was a Marked or not to begin with. This was bothersome, but she believed it was a small price to pay for immortality, she liked to keep a low profile.
After several years of peace, the region of Virava was about to experience its most destructive period. After the defeat of Kryn, his 30-year-old daughter, Tarava, was imprisoned in a dungeon 532. She was freed from prison by Thrasel in 534 but was imprisoned again by Terasyna in 543 and was kept there since then. Somehow Tarava gave birth to a daughter in the year 557, nobody knew who the father was. Tarava named her daughter Ahsoars and aimed to raise her in the prison cell she lived in. Tarava herself died in 560 at the age of 58, leaving Ahsoars behind as a toddler.
Ahsoars grew up in the dungeon, not being released despite having no crime. Originally, Terasyna wished just to keep her imprisoned until she died eventually, but for some reason, he decided to have her executed. Many figures, including Basvara, were against this, with arguments such as she was not even a soldier or a threat, and many believed she did not even deserve to be imprisoned as she had no crime.
Terasyna and his supporters saw Ahsoars as a legacy of Kryn's rule, the destruction he unleashed upon Viravans as he died, and the fact that Ahsoars was born decades after Kryn's demise didn't change this sentiment. Terasyna himself had a personal grudge for Kryn and wished to eliminate his bloodline, seeing it as a stain upon the history of Virava. The execution was to be carried out in the year 578. Terasyna personally carried out the execution, but something went wrong just before he could execute her. Ahsoars awakened.
Individuals awakening their full potential in a significant life-and-death scenario was an extremely rare, but known fact. But this was almost unheard of people who were not combatants did not even learn Phanon, even considering Ahsoars's grandfather was a powerful figure and the fact that she spent nearly all of her life imprisoned and never had the opportunity to learn any combat knowledge. Somehow all the potential growth she could have achieved over the years suddenly flew through her, giving her the full extent of her powers. Using her newfound power, she escaped the region.
The Virava establishment panicked, as Ahsoars's ability to rapidly escape and hide was extraordinary. A bulk of Virava's forces were tasked with finding her, which Basvara herself joined. After over three months of constant search, Ahsoars was not found until she wished to be found. She appeared in northern Virava and started rampaging through the city.
This caused immense destruction throughout all of Virava. Ahsoars was devastating all corners of the city of Virava. Terasyna was in shock and he lost his supporters now as he was the reason for this. To repair his reputation, he personally fought against Ahsoars but fell in battle and was killed by her. Ahsoars was tearing through all that dared to fight her, with seemingly not even elite Astravar forces being able to do anything to her. She had awakened an unusual power.
Basvara herself participated in several skirmishes around her, seeing her men getting torn apart with none of their attacks working. She decided to run away. She ran to find that one Marked she was looking for, a young man named Ennay vyn Mard. She believed that this young man had an Inborn Method that may possess the key to defeating Ahsoars, Brilliant Lights. Basvara had such high hopes for this Method and even seethed in the past to the fact that she could not Incarnate within him, now that it would be wasted because Ennay had no potential.
Basvara did not lose hope, she found Ennay, who was on the other side of the City, telling him that his Method might be the only way to defeat Ahsoars. Ennay lacked self-esteem but agreed to do whatever it took to defend his homeland. The two traveled to Ahsoars, Ennay immediately constructed Matveil, the most powerful application of Brilliant Lights, who still failed to defeat Ahsoars fast enough. In fact, Matveil could not generate even a single adjustment against Ahsoars during the battle. After some time, Ennay himself was severely wounded by a wave of debris thrown at him, losing most of his body, but he used his teleportation to move himself and Basvara away from Ahsoars.
Basvara, in this dire moment, decided to use the Confine Pact she prepared during her second Incarnation. As per this pact, she is to absorb all her Markeds and immediately transfer her biology to any Marked of her own choosing, in exchange for losing access to Incarnation for 100 years. This was a highly risky move by her, for if she died again before 100 years this would be her final death, but she took this decision to save her hometown. She originally wished to use this on Ahsoars, but figured it was not possible to get to her before dying.
After absorbing all of her Markeds and transferring to a wounded Ennay, she achieved immense power, as well as Brilliant Lights. Even though Ennay's own application of this Method did not work fast enough, Basvara believed she had the power and knowledge to make full use of this Method and save Virava. Brilliant Lights allows its users to construct various entities called Lights that can serve different purposes. The most significant of whom was named Matveil, who could adjust to any situation including Methods it encounters and counter it. After a brief practice with Brilliant Lights, Basvara was ready to stop Ahsorars.
Basvara ran towards Ahsoars while everyone else was running away from her, away from the destruction she was causing. Basvara rushed in and attacked Ahsoars, punching her in the face, which seemed to do nothing. After brief close-range combat, she started to deduce Ahsoars's power that made her seemingly impervious, not only to physical damage but also to sophisticated Methods. She understood that Ahsoars' power made her "progress" stop, in stasis. With her progress stopped, she was not experiencing any change, and thus was not being affected, she was also not flinching and was impervious to grappling attempts as she could not experience change. This power seems to be always active when she is defending herself but could be weaponized and used offensively on occasion, unleashing projectiles that cannot be stopped. It seems Ahsoars was not too capable with using her power.
After only a few minutes of fighting, Basvara was considerably injured, she got hit by the offensive application of Ahsoars's power, very dangerous attacks that go through anything and cannot be blocked. She had a plan, she was using Brilliant Lights in an unorthodox way. She was not going to risk constructing Matveil only to have it be destroyed by Ahsoars before it could adjust, so she only partially constructed it, enough for it to adjust, but she herself was taking the damage instead and this way was slow to adjust, half the speed it usually takes for it to adjust. Her plan was to have Matveil adjust before she herself took too much damage and defeat Ahsoars.
The battle continued for nearly an hour, mostly one-sided as Basvara was battered while Ahsoars took no damage whatsoever. But Matveil's adjustment was finally ready. Ahsoars launched her offensive application, only for Basvara to construct Matveil to block it. Basvara knew Ahsoars would try to avoid Matveil and attack her instead, but she was prepared for it. The battle continued, and Ahsoars got around Matveil, dodging its attacks and blocking. Ahsoars prioritized attacking Basvara but Basvara used Matveil to block. Ahsoars was trying to eventually gett close enough to deliver a powerful attack on Basvara to kill her, but Basvara shot her with one of her Boltmance Methods, True Zap, instead, which actually worked, frying her. Before Ahsoars died, her sanity returned and she seemed glad to finally be able to rest. Basvara asked her if she had any last wishes, Ahsoars said no but after a brief pause informed her about an egg she hatched a few days ago, telling Basvara to do whatever she wanted to do with that knowledge.
Matveil adjusts endlessly, even after generating the necessary mitigation and countermeasures, which is generally done by a single adjustment, it keeps adjusting. During this battle, Matveil needed to adjust a total of 3000 times until it finally became capable of interacting with Ahsoars. Matveil's adjustments do not only apply to itself, they eventually pass on to the Constructor, that being Basvara herself. She purposefully acted like only Matveil could go through Ahsoars' power and not herself. From the beginning, she let herself get battered, openly constructed Matveil, and blocked Ahsoars' offensive attack, clearly making her see it. This way, Ahsoars would only be weary of Matveil and not Basvara herself. She bid her time for over an hour and shot Ahsoars with a point-blank True Zap.
After the battle, Basvara immediately rushed to the location of the egg and rescued it before it died. She decided to adopt it and raise it as her own, hiding the fact that it is Ahsoars's child from everyone, she even continued to hide this fact from the baby hatched from the egg.
Tenure as the Governor[]
Following the defeat of Ahsoars, Basvara was appointed as the third Governor of Virava Province, which she accepted. She immediately began reconstruction efforts and studied Brilliant Lights more. Since she sacrificed the Incarnation for a century, this was her last life, as Ennay's remaining lifespan allowed her to live at most 80 more years, 20 years short of how long she needs to live to regain the Incarnation. She needed to find a way to extend her lifespan just enough to regain it. She extensively studied for it, and researched Methods, but also mastered Brilliant Lights and continued being a capable and caring Governor. In early 579, the egg hatched, and she named the boy Eravara, Eravara vyn Basvara, aiming to raise him as her own son.
Unificator Era[]
Joining Pinnacle[]
Basvara did her best to research and improve herself, raise Eravara properly, and fulfill her duties as Governor. But her responsibilities as the governor took most of her attention. She was interested in ruling Virava, her homeland, so she did not resign even though she had other interests. By 596, Basvara began to delegate most her responsibilities to Erava after informing the central Astravar government, who did not oppose. Eventually, Basvara decided to resign in 602, and Eravara was appointed as the new Governor the same year.
During her research, she also delved deep into certain Inborn Methods of some of the bodies she used as Incarnations. She retained these, but the most were useless. One of them only allowed creation and control of spiders, which was disregarded by Basvara like others. When he decided to study all of them again, she saw this Method had potential, unlike others. She developed it well and incorporated it into her tactics.
Basvara was informed of an organization while she was still in office. After learning the details and knowing what it aimed, she informed them that she would join if they had ways to extend her lifespan, 25 years was enough as that would allow her to regain Incarnation and mark people again. Pinnacle members informed that they had one member, whose Method allowed her to boost the remaining lifespan of someone by up to 40%. She accepted it, and it was successful. In the year 598, she had 60 years to live, but with the boost she gained an additional 23 years worth of life and now had 83 years to live, enough to regain her Inborn Method. She felt confident and decided to join in the year 601, shortly before her resignation. This organization was Pinnacle and led by Thrasel Shravrek, someone she already worked for before, years prior. Basvara was amazed how that by the time she joined, Pinnacle had already taken over the vast majority of Astrava's leadership, without even her noticing it, though their presence was weaker in Virava. Only a few years after her joining, Pinnacle practically took over Astrava and exerted total control over it by 610.
Basvara participated in Pinnacle operations early on but was relieved by 614 at her request. She retreated to her homeland Virava and further improved herself. She met her son, Eravara, wish she hadn't seen in 12 years. She was shocked to learn that Eravara inherited Ahsoars's Inborn Method, naming it Poise. She did not know this before. She wished to keep his parentage secret, as she worried if he learned who his true mother was, he may go rogue as Ahsoars did. Though Eravara was sane and there was no way he could learn it, and since Eravara did not know of Ahsoars he wouldn't know the similarity in their Inborn Methods. Basvara was the only person alive who knew, and she actively did not reveal any information about Ahsoar's Inborn Method, not many people asked about it anyway.
Unification Achieved[]
Basvara had a very limited involvement in subsequent Pinnacle efforts to unify Palova. She participated in several skirmishes when the war broke out in the late 620s, took a more active role during the consolation of the new Pinnacle government throughout the entire Palova between years 632-643, and returned to Virava afterward, not getting involved with any subsequent conflict and not even being a political voice in Virava itself. She spent her remaining years improving her control over her Methods and making them more efficient in terms of Phanon. In 678, she regained access to Incarnation and started marking people, eventually dying in 682.
Fourth Incarnation[]
Duel with Thetzara[]
Basvara Incarnated once again in the year 754, over 70 years later. She observed this new body and was shocked and delighted that the Inborn Method it had was, conveniently, Undecaying, which was immortality. This body did not age, and thus could not die by natural means. She was happy as now she was not running on time limit and could survive as long as she was safe. After reintroducing herself to Virava and studying to learn what happened for the past 70 years, she met her son Eravara, who was still alive, not even aged, due to Poise. After several years, she heard the Grand Commander of Viraans, Evza vyn Sandsara's death.
Basvara became interested in succeeding him, as she previously was the Grand Commander of Viravans in Palova already, and once again wished to be the leader of her own people. She joined the Tournament to appoint the next Grand Commander, a tournament in which 64 people qualified to participate. This Tournament was duels where the matches were only over when one of the candidates was dead, gave up, or the jury decided the winner if neither won after 100 minutes. She made it to the Finals where she faced Thenzara Thetsa
Basvara vs. Thenzara |
---|
The duel started with a friendly greeting, as the two sides were not enemies. Basvara knew of Thenzara's powers. She didn't think she had a way to defeat her, so she went all out and started off with Matveil right away, who started adjusting. Immediately after this, Thenzara launched Visceral Blasts via her Blade. Although ridiculously powerful, these blasts had a limited range and both Basvara and Matveil had no problem avoiding them. Thenzara eventually switched and tried to get close, but Basvara ran away using Area Ant, right after this, Thenzara stopped time and delivered another blast to Basvara. Time stop ended earlier due to Matveil adjusting to it, and Basvara narrowly escaped but lost both of her legs. She used Revered Ram to heal her legs while avoiding the next attacks. Basvara avoided the next series of attacks, and eventually decided to test her newly mastered trump card. She knew this would not put Thenzara down, but it would serve as a good test, she cast Field Formation: Shining Singular Sanctuary, engulfing the area and Thenzara within it. Although within her own Field Basvara was greatly empowered, she had no option to put her own permanently. Thenzara's other selves could enter again from her own body the more Basvara killed her, and eventually, she could not maintain the Field any longer with constant attacks, thus losing her advantage. The battle continued, Basvara recovered and could cast another Field, but had no reason to do it. This battle was more of an experiment for her, to see how far she can go, against an opponent she simply cannot put down. She threw everything she had against an opponent for the first time, and withdrew from the Tourney at 99th minute, giving the victory to Thenzara. |
Personality[]
Basvara is and has always been a generally kind person who likes to help out others, especially in her community, if she can. Even before her father died, he wished to be a capable and take part in the defense of the newly established Virava and died after doing exactly that for over 30 years.
After her death and first Incarnation, she developed a fear of death. Basvara was originally a religious person, worshipping Viravan deities ge-Raned, de-Hasra, and de-Randa regularly. She had a strong belief in an afterlife. But in her first Incarnation, not only she was reborn again, but she did not feel any time passing for a century due to being dead for all of that time period. Her belief and spirituality were shattered after her incarnation, both literally and figuratively, as she no longer could feel the existence of her Soul, which vanished during her first death. She believed her Inborn Method, Incarnation, was a reflection of her fear of death. She spent most of her life avoiding conflict, keeping a low profile, and marking as many people as possible to increase the chances of the next incarnation.
Even when she was in conflict, she chose the path she deemed least dangerous, such as being one of Kryn's most loyal followers to quickly defecting and joining Thrasel once she understood it to be more logical. Despite her fear of death and desire for preservation, she deeply cared for Viravans, the City of Virava, and broadly Palovans as a whole. She cared about the preservation of Virava as much as her own, evidenced by when Ahsoars began her rampage throughout Virava, Basvara had the option to flee, but she did not, instead remained, sacrificed her immortality by losing her Incarnation for a century in exchange for the power to defeat Ahsoars.
This decision was emotional but had some logic behind it. She believed that if she left, Virava would surely be annihilated, but if she stayed and defeated Ahsoars, Virava would be saved and maybe there was still a way to extend her life. Basvara knows she cannot live forever, the main thing she is concerned about is missing out and not contributing, and death represents that to her. As such, she wishes to live as long as she can to witness as many things as possible and take part in events yet to come.

Attack Potency: City Block level to Multi-City Block level (Basavara is around Rank 8 to Rank 7) | At least Town level (After absorbing all of her Markeds, Basvara absorbed all of their power and became Rank 5+, making her stronger than Rank 5). Varies between Multi-Multi-City Block level (Area Ant, Frosty Fox, Revered Ram, and Runction Rat are Rank 7) to Large Town level (Cower Chameleon and Hectic Hound are Rank 6) to City level (Serpent Strike, Ravager Rhino, and Wary Werehyena are Rank 5) with Brilliant Lights. Large Mountain level with Sublime Serpent (Sublime Serpent is Rank 4). At least Island level, higher over time with Matveil (Matveil is twenty times more powerful than Sublime Serpent and gets exponentially more powerful the more it fights) | At least Island level (Basvara is Rank 4++ and is at least twenty times stronger than Rank 4), Country level while in Sacred Spider Mold (While in this form she is Rank 2). Varies from Large Mountain level (Area Ant, Frosty Fox, Revered Ram, and Runction Rat are all around ten times stronger than Rank 5) to Island level (Cower Chameleon and Hectic Hound are Rank 4) to Country level (Serpent Strike, Ravager Rhino, and Wary Werehyena are as strong as Basvara herself while in Sacred Spider Mold), Large Country level with Sublime Serpent (Sublime Serpent is Fresh Rank 1+, making it significantly stronger than a Fresh Rank 1). At least Moon level+, higher over time with Matveil (Matveil is Special Rank 1. Can combat multiple other Special Rank 1 opponents at once, who are capable of defeating Broadative Probe Yekks. Gets exponentially more powerful the more it fights)
Speed: Subsonic with Relativistic reactions (Faster than those who could keep up with those who have this level of speed) | Subsonic with Relativistic reactions. Transonic movement speed by riding Hectic Hound or Sublime Serpent (Both Hectic Hound and Sublime Serpent can move up to five times the speed of an ordinary Palovan) | Subsonic with Relativistic reactions. Transonic movement speed by riding Hectic Hound and Sublime Serpent
Lifting Strength: Class K (Stronger than those who can easily rip spines off) | Pre-Stellar (Can withstand Ahsoars, who can overwhelm many high-ranked soldiers even without her Method, who themselves can keep up with or overpower Aspirantver Aspirantmond Rank Astravans, who are superior to Aspirantzes) | Pre-Stellar (Same as or stronger than before)
Striking Strength: City Block level to Multi-City Block level (Is around Rank 9 to Rank 8) | At least Town level (After absorbing all of her Markeds, Basvara absorbed all of their power and became Rank 5+, making her stronger than Rank 5) | At least Island level (Basvara is Rank 4++ and is at least twenty times stronger than Rank 4), Country level while in Sacred Spider Mold (While in this form she is Rank 2)
Durability: City Block level to Multi-City Block level | At least Town level. Varies between Multi-City Block level to Town level | At least Island level, Country level while in Sacred Spider Mold
Stamina: Superhuman (Fought against Ahsoars for over an hour with no sign of getting tired despite being significantly wounded. Should be above lower-ranking soldiers who can keep fighting for days to weeks) | Superhuman (More resilient than before) | Infinite (Undecaying caused her to have an endless lifespan, thus infinite Phanon to draw and produce Phanon with. She never gets tired. However, she cannot output infinite Phanon)
Range: Standard Melee Range, Dozen of Meters to Kilometers with Boltmance Methods (Regular Boltmance projectiles have up to 60 meters range. True Zap can reach up to 80 meters, while Hail of Lightning can reach up to 300 meters. Conductive Zap can reliably hit targets from several kilometers away if there is a solid surface it can travel from. Legacy Javelin normally has an effective range of around 600 meters, dozens of kilometers via conducting) | Same as before, Varies from Dozens of Meters to Hundreds of Meters with Brilliant Lights, Interdimensional with Area Ant (Ravager Rhino and Frosty Fox can land hits from 60 to 70 meters, Runction Rat's offsprings can manifest a wave of Rats that can cover up to 200-300 meters, Serpent Snakes can spit venom up to 600 meters. Area Ant can teleport to any place Basvara has ever been to, including other Scapes and Tumults) | Same as before, up to Several Kilometers with Spidercall (Spidercall can make so many spiders that she can cover up to 6 kilometers with them)
Standard Equipment: None
Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius. Basvara is one of the most capable Viravans to ever exist. She is vastly superior to many other Viravan soldiers who can keep up with Aspirantze rank figures. Upon her first incarnation, she quickly deduced the nature of her Inborn Method, Incarnation, and comprehended its limitations and conditions | Extraordinary Genius. Far more capable than before. Quickly understood Ahsoars's innate nature made her impervious after a few minutes while nobody else who fought her could, purposely allowed Ahsoars to injure her for extended periods of time to trick her eventually. Should not be any inferior to the likes of Kryn | Extraordinary Genius. Better than before
Standard Tactics:
Basvara is generally a long-range combatant. Her preferred method of combat is to use Boltmance projectiles at her target and keep them away from herself. This also works as a trick, as this causes targets to think she is not good at close-range combat, which comes in handy if they can get close, they may be caught off-guard with her grappling. Against a more powerful and troublesome opponent, she will use True Zap and may be forced to use Legacy Javelin if her other Methods provided are not effective. If she feels too cornered or fancies the powers of her opponent, she may activate the Confine Pact she prepared to use her Incarnation to instantly mark and take over their body.
Same as before, though now she commonly uses Brilliant Lights. She uses Area Ant to teleport in and out while keeping Frosty Fox on herself and having it shoot Nails at her targets, while also sending Hectic Hound to slash at the opponent and Runction Rat to overwhelm and distract them. She may position herself to ride Hectic Hound on her own, using Area Ant to go in and out. She can quickly alternate between them, enhancing any of their power rapidly. If this doesn't seem to give a quick win, she will use more troublesome Lights like Serpent Strike, Wary Werehyena, and Ravager Rhino at once while also using others. When faced with a problematic opponent she fully constructs Sublime Serpent and partially constructs Matveil just enough to have it adjust while fighting alongside Sublime Serpent for a while.
More or less the same as before, now, in addition, can and will use spiders right away, transforming to Sacred Spider Mold. Will not waste time against a troublesome opponent and will cat Field Formation: Singular Shining Sanctuary to overwhelm them. As she regains Incarnation, she may try to use the same Confine Pact and forcibly take over the body of her opponent if she can see such oppurtunity
Weaknesses: Has a fear of death that makes her reluctant in engaging close-range combat or risk-taking | Same as before, though on a lesser extent | Same as before
Notable Attacks/Techniques:
- Medic: Basvara knows basic Medic. She can use Phanon to heal herself and others. He can heal broken bones and regrow limbs
- Proficiency: Basvara is significantly proficient
- Adept grappling: Basvara is trained in freestyle wrestling, submission wrestling, and judo from a young age. She can consistently outperform her peers and surpassed them, and progressively got better over the years
- Sensethruster: Sensethrusters have exceptionally heightened senses. They can perceive their surroundings down to an atomic scale, and usually in a radius around them. They can perceive sounds and sights from kilometers away. They can see, interact with, and harm unphysical phenomena such as smoke, shadows, and beings of Contour as if they are solid or physical
- Mentalweaver: Mentalweavers can effectively control their bodies like puppets guided by their mind rather than conventional movement. For these individuals, the thought of moving is the same as moving itself, and there is no delay between the mind and the body. This allows them to perform hundreds of rapid jumps and flips both in-ground and in the air, move through any terrain and glide in the air with maximum efficiency, move in a way that is not affected by air friction to perform instant full-speed movement without acceleration, and move in a way that makes no sound. They can also innately react to any incoming attack by dodging and launching a counterattack, even when no longer alive or conscious
- Boltmancer: Basvara is a Boltmancer, allowing her to Boltmance in various ways, which is to generate and control electricity and lightning
- Hail of Lightning: Basvara generates thousands of lightning bolts around herself and shoots them at her targets, affecting a large area at once
- Electrojavelin: Basvara generates two javelins made out of electricity and throws them. These javelins will relentlessly pursue the target and remain active until they connect, are destroyed by another attack, or hit the target. They can remain active and pursue their target for over a day, they are very robust and will avoid colliding with things that are not their target, and will dodge other attacks. They can be controlled by Basvara herself as well.
- True Zap: Basvara generates lightning bolts that are true and with high amplitudes, causing paralysis and organ failure on targets
- Conductive Zap: Basvara generates lightning bolts with better conduciveness, allowing them to strike targets in unconventional ways, such as sending them to the ground and striking the target from down
- Legacy Javelin: A special Method Basvara developed using a Confine Pact, using this means she cannot use any Boltmance for an hour. This Method combines the properties of all of her other Boltmance Methods into one, combined attack, she generates thousands of javelins that can home, conduct, paralyze, and cause organ failure, and shoots them at her targets
- Confine Pact: Confine Pact is a versatile Method. This allows users to invoke certain laws into reality, which all involved are bonded to follow and cannot break. This Method is primarily made to make deals and agreements all parties are bonded. In combat, it is commonly used to alter the conditions of the way Methods work. For example, lowering the damage output of a Method in exchange for increasing its damage or lowering its width to increase its height range towards a specific direction. Or sacrificing functions of an attack, or a Method, for a certain time, or forever, to attain an instant effect. Overall it is a very versatile Method with widespread usage.
- Sifting: Basvara is very capable in several forms of Sifting, a diverse Method that can grant various effects
- Fair Sifting: Fair Sifting passively negates the amplifications of others and renders them invalid. Basvara's Fair Sifting should be above the ones utilized by weaker soldiers that are capable enough to invalidate amplifications used Aspirantvers to Aspirantzes and only gets better.
- Incarnation: Basvara's Inborn Method allows her to be reborn again after death. This works by her first generating Markeds when she is alive, Markeds are individuals marked by her, and some of their descendants. Upon her death, each year there is a 0.001% chance the biology identical to hers will be reborn within the body of one of the Markeds, which she calls incarnating. Upon incarnation, the body will quickly change and take the appearance of her original self, though she can prevent this. All of her own Methods also incarnate with her, and she can have access to the Inborn Methods of the host or at least one Method they use if they don't have Inborn Methods. The host is still alive, their will is suppressed by her upon incarnation. She is also capable of absorbing the power of Markeds, growing in power.
Basvara made a Confine Pact and lost Incarnation for 100 years.
- Brilliant Lights: The Inborn Method of Ennay vyn Mard, she acquired after incarnating within his body. This Method allows the Constructor (aka the user) to command light and construct what is called Lights, 10 different constructs. Ligts are considerably strong and have fangs and claws. Lights are also extensions of the Constructor's own being, meaning they can sense what she can, and she can also perceive through them as well. The construction does not require any gesture or stance, and can simply be done by a thought, and constructed anywhere within a 10-meter radius. Basvara can also partially construct them to use them partially, though she cannot only partially construct more than one. If Lights are destroyed, they can be reformed after a few years, during which their powers are passed on to any of the other remaining Lights.
- Runction Rat: This is a female Rat that is about 30 cm tall. She can scan the target and learn their physical strength, and can endlessly create more and more offsprings of herself to overwhelm the enemy as long as she is intact.
- Revered Ram: This is a Ram -male sheep- that is about 2 meters tall, quadrupedal. He can quickly heal severe wounds with his saliva. A single contact with his saliva is enough to recover from being cut to pieces. His saliva can also neutralize other Methods, protecting himself and those making contact with his saliva.
- Hectic Hound: This is a hound that is about 3.5 meters tall. It is exceptionally agile, more agile than Basvara herself. It can increase its speed three times in short bursts and does far higher damage when biting or striking with its left claw.
- Serpent Strike: These are five Serpents, their height is 1 meter, 30 meters, 60 meters, 80 meters, and 160 meters respectively. The smallest Serpent is able to fuse with its targets, entering into their bodies and controlling them from within by controlling their biological structure. Other Serpents can spit venom, and due to their size, they basically spit a small pool of venom with one spit. All of them can fuse together to form Sublime Serpent.
- Frosty Fox: This is a fox that is around 60 meters tall. It can shoot its nails and stun those hit by them temporarily. The stun effect works on those unaffected by ice itself
- Cower Chameleon: This is a chameleon that is 4 meters tall. It can turn invisible and intangible, though cannot attack while in that state. Can carry others within its mouth to hide and protect them
- Area Ant: This is an ant that is less than 1 cm tall. It can teleport itself and others to other locations and can teleport to any place Basvara was ever-present in. It can rapidly teleport to short distances of 100-200 meters, but as the distance increases, the less rapid its usage becomes, with maximum Tumult-crossing distance being only usable for about 2-3 times before it has to be deconstructed for a while.
- Ravager Rhino: This is a rhino that is 3 meters tall. It can generate water as well as acid, can also control them, and strike its targets with them.
- Wary Werehyena: This is a Werehyena that is 4.5 meters tall. It has three eyes, all of which can taunt enemies, causing them to target it while ignoring others, as well as scare them, causing them to run away from it. Each eye is more effective than the other and can affect those unaffected by the other eye; the Right Eye is the first, the Left Eye is the second, and the Top Eye is the third and most effective. Werehyena starts only with the Left Eye and needs time to open other eyes.
- Matveil: The most powerful Light. It is a large, pale bipedal being. It can grow exponentially the more it fights, especially against comparable or stronger opponents. Can go from struggling against a Rank 3+ to one-shotting him after just a few clashes. It can adjust to any situation it encounters including any Methods used against it, defensive or offensive. Generating adjustments; mitigations against offensive Methods and countermeasures to defensive Methods and eventually passing them down to the Constructor. As per adjustments, it can develop similar battle style and tactics to those it encounters, rapidly adjust to the type of damage, and take less than half the damage when the same source strikes it again. Its adjustment never stops, once adjusted to a situation, it keeps developing more and more mitigations and countermeasures against it endlessly. Like other Lights, it can be partially constructed, thus this cuts its adjustment speed by half.
- Selfless Dare The Inborn Method of one of her previous hosts. Basvara can give her own strength to others, enhancing them while weakening herself. She primarily uses this to enhance her weaker Lights, quickly alternating between enhancing any of them and herself in the heat of the battle.
- Precogazer: Precogazers have exceptional clarity and understanding of their surroundings, they can not only gain clear insight into the physical movements as well as incoming attacks that do not require physical movement on the fly but can also predict the possible intent of their targets before they even have that intent simply by looking at their present state once
- Fullreader: Fullreaders can accurately glean information about individuals or objects, decipher their capabilities, combat methods, and their present intent with seemingly as little effort as a mere gaze, and prepare to counter what they were able to glean to the best of their abilities
- Poison Spider: Many of the spiders she can make are highly poisonous
- Sacred Spider Mold: This Method manifests in the form of a new body for Basvara, which she manifests by creating an absurd number of spiders solely around herself, who then morph her body and transform her. This form looks and functions like armor, but she is internally transformed as well, which she herself describes as being made out of spiders whose number is too high to express with language. In this form, she becomes far stronger, can readjust herself if lost any body parts or injured to mitigate the damage, and can control severed body parts and even make clones out of them
Note: The powers Matveil is listed to be Resistant to are the ones it already adjusted to prior, meaning it would not need to adjust to them once again
