A little girl named Astyana born in Troy during the Trojan war as the daughter of the great hero, Hector. Ever since she was born she knew nothing but the horrors of war. One day her father went outside the walls all by himself. At first, there was a lot of cheering, then followed by silence. Curious about what happened to her father, Astyana rushed up the stairs of the walls. Her mother tried to stop her, but she managed to slide by. When she reached the top, she saw the corpse of her father getting dragged across the ground by a chariot. The man in it was a tall, blond man with a single wing and a broken halo. When the Greeks finally invaded via the Trojan horse, Astyana and her mother tried to flee. They however were betrayed by Helena and Pares and left as a decoy. On their escape her mother gets shot by an arrow, piercing the back of her head. Her eyes and mouth run over with blood and then she finally tips over and falls on Astyana. Too scared to move she tries to hide under her mother's dead body. Odysseus, who was tasked with killing her, wasn't able to bring himself to do so when he saw her cowering in fear beneath her mother. Astyana stayed in this position like in trance for a couple of days, unable to move due to the fear and confusion. It was only when she couldn't bear the hunger any longer that she got up to look for something to eat.
When she got up, she realized everything got burned down to ashes and the only edible thing left were the corpses of the deceased. Although reluctant at first, she started eating everyone she didn't know, obviously leaving her mother be. Another person she found and didn't eat was the person who had killed her father, Achilles, since she resented him too much and didn't want to feel like her life was indebted to his flesh. The days passed and the corpses started rotting under the summer heat. The only one that stayed fine was Achilles' body since it was that of a "pure-blooded demigod. She still didn't want to eat him, so she went for the rotting bodies instead. Needless to say, that didn't go so well. After almost a week of throwing up, diarrhea, and severe stomach aches she was out of options and devoured Achilles after all. While doing so, someone appeared within the ruins of the city. He was fairly tall with six wings, wore a black robe, and had hair split into black and white. His eyes were a deep, cold purple. The boy walked over to the body of Astyana's mother and ripped out her soul, while the little girl was watching and eating. Although she wanted to stop him, she couldn't. She was way too starved and just couldn't stop herself from eating. She had no other option than watching the crying, for mercy begging soul of her mother getting ripped out of the corpse and being stowed and taken away in a small bag.
After she finished Achilles she started feeling weird, since she stopped feeling hungry. Not only that, but she could also feel something on her back pushing against her clothes. She went over to the close by the ocean to take a look at the reflection, since all the water in the wells located in the city ran dry or were covered in feces, left by the Greek to ensure that there won't be a return. When looking at her reflection, she noticed a small wing on her back and a fragment of a halo above her head. They reminded her of the person at fault for all of this, so she tried ripping out her wings in disgust, but they just grew back. When she tried to kill herself out of desperation, since she was on the verge of giving up anyways and most certainly didn't want to live a life in a body like this, she wasn't capable of going past the skin. She had inherited Achilles’ immortality.
She started to leave the ruins and wander around aimlessly. On her way, she didn't eat much. For two reasons. The first being she never got very hungry and the second that the stuff she did eat wasn't helping. She was also hiding her halo and wing all the time under rugs. She usually stole the food she ate, if she ate at all. Some time passed and her hunger grew stronger by the day. One night she was wandering around a temple of a god when she suddenly smelled something nice. She followed the scent and found two demigod guards protecting the entrance of the shrine. One was wounded and patched up. Overwhelmed by the sensation Astyana walked up to the guards. Her head was empty. The two guards first thought she was a lost child and tried to help. Astyana simply stood there and neither moved nor did she say a word. When the wounded guard kneeled down to ask her some questions, she instinctively bit him in the head, immediately killing. The other guard tried to kill Astyana, but the spear he was carrying broke when he attacked. Unable to harm her, Astyana overwhelmed and killed him too. She started eating both of them, in pure ecstasy, enjoying herself like she hasn't in a long time. It was only after that she realized what she had done. This was the first time however that her wings and halo disappeared and that she looked human again.
She kept wandering through Greece until the Roman Empire invaded and took her in as a slave. She didn't struggle or try to defy it since she simply didn't care much at that point. She is held in horrible conditions and only fed very little until she is sold off to a rich merchant, owning a large mansion. There she met other slaves which she befriended. She became a "personal service" slave for the merchant and his sons. Although they did horrible things to her while living out their fantasies, she felt happy for the first time in a long time. Maybe even the first time at all. She never had any friends before and she never had the feeling of being useful either. The years passed by and Astyana actually managed to start smiling again, until she became hungry again. She did her best to suppress it, but in the end, she slaughtered everyone in the mansion, the other slaves who she befriended, as well as the merchant and his sons, who gave her a purpose. Unlike the first time, however, this time she was fully clear and understood the thing she was doing. She tried to stop, but she couldn't. She hated herself for destroying her happiness, but,... but they just tasted way too good for her to stop. She was enjoying herself although she hated it at the same time. She wanted to stop and yet she didn't. Her friends were begging for mercy as she ate them from bottom to top. The more they screamed. The more they begged for help. The more tears ran across their faces. Yes, the more they pleaded for her to stop, the more she enjoyed herself.
She was on her own yet again. To not fall victim to her hunger again, she now started to murder and eat on a semi-regular basis. To avoid killing the innocent she joined armies and raided the battlefields for corpses at night. The more she ate, the stronger grew her hunger, needing to eat more and more. With each person, she ate she grew stronger. Her mind however grew weaker, instable to the point of breakage. All the souls inside the corpses entered her body. Hundreds, thousands, millions. All her souls were fighting with Astyana's soul over dominance within her body. If she happened to grow any weaker, she would lose that fight. If that was to happen she would turn into a former god, a hideous, deformed creature and go wild on an endless killing spree with no survivors. Since Astyana was an inherently good person, there was no way she could let that happen again. There was no way she could allow such suffrage. The only way to stay strong enough to fight the souls within her was to keep eating. The more she ate the harder it was to fight them off and the more exhausting it became, so she had to eat even more. Eat. Eat. Eat. Her mind went nearly completely blank over the next thousand years. Eating. That was all she could think of. No, that wasn't true. She also had a wish, the wish for someone to kill her and end her suffering. Besides that, she didn't even take notice of whom or what she ate. Humans, demons, angels, dragons, she ate them all, completely indiscriminately. Before she knew it, she went past all the boundary walls, reaching the world beyond meaning. Her self slowly started to fade away into a form that could not be described. This was the first time during the last hundred or so years that she actually took notice of what was happening. Her urge to eat was fading due to existing beyond meaning. With her mind already gone way too far already, instead of embracing the fact that she could finally let go of her past self and finally achieve happiness, she chose to stay the way she was. How can she eat with her feeling of hunger gone? How could she fight back the souls when they aren't there anymore? However, by staying as she is, accepting the way she is, and not wanting to change anything about herself she moved to the next higher layer, becoming even stronger, nearly untouchable by most. In the end, she became the sixth strongest being that wasn't blessed by chaos in one way or another.
A couple hundred years passed yet again. Astyana actually managed to slowly regain her sanity and formed the "anti-god" unit, composed only of humans. Although on the surface their goal was to rid the earth of all demigods, due to unfair and unjust treatment to humans, the reality of it was that Astyana was simply looking for an easy way to get food with small effort and little exposure. It wasn't necessarily a lie that she wanted to rid the worlds of demigods either since she did indeed hate them quite a bit. On the other hand, she hated everything and everyone. A demigod took her father and turned her into the creature she currently is. A god took away her mother’s souls. Humans betrayed her and burned down her home. Although all this happened over 3000 years ago, she couldn't stop holding on to these grudges.
A little later she met Hana by chance. The two got along fairly well at first. This friendship only held till Astyana killed one of Hana's friends, a demigod girl, who was also the descendant of Helena, the woman who came up with the plan to use her and her mother as a decoy. When Hana showed her that she too is a human, strengthened by the powers of a god, Astyana pitied her and offered to kill her. When Hana refused, Astyana decided to go for it anyway, in hopes of "saving" Hana from the same fate she had. Before Astyana managed to finish her off, Jack interfered. Astyana immediately recognized him as the one who took away her mother’s soul. Enraged she finally snapped and all the hundreds of billions of souls she had stockpiled within herself went wild, slowly turning her into a former god, even overwhelming Jack. Unable to fight back and not wanting to be eaten by Astyana, he opened his third and final seal to finish her off.
Up until this point, the reader knows nothing about her, which wasn't experienced by Hana, and only after she dies one gets and inside on her past.
Astyana is a very nice and gentle person who always looks out for others. Her first priority is to ensure the well being of others even above her own. She loves helping others and has a weird or need to feel like she is useful.
As a child born to the royal family and daughter of the prince and greatest hero, she was always very sheltered and never had many friends outside the royal court. Even those view friends she had within it, usually just saw her as a way to get to her father or grandfather. This left her fairly isolated and made her almost obsessed about getting people to actually like and accept her. Ever since she was born she never knew anything but war, seeing dead bodies being carried through the streets on a daily basis. Corpses and the stench of rotting flesh were normal for her, leaving her very unemotional and cold towards death. The first time she ever felt truly sad was when her father had been killed by Achilles.
When she had to eat the corpses of the fallen, she initially wasn't very fond of either the idea or the taste, but over time she got used to both. By the time she ate Achilles she was basically addicted to it. At this point it was less of a case needing to eat, but wanting to.
Over the years, with every passing day, her mental strength kept declining. Not only was it getting harder and harder to hold on to her sanity or even her consciousness, but it also mattered less and less to her. The only thing that kept her going and stopped her from giving up, was her wish to protect everyone around her. Her keeping herself in check made her useful. This way she was needed. At least until someone was to kill her. That is what she was thinking. This urge, this obsession of being needed drove her to the point of refusing to just save herself when she actually had the chance. As time went by her mind slowly kept diminishing, to the point where she wouldn't talk or even react when talked to. She seemed like a mindless zombie, who could do nothing but eat.
Although she did recover slightly over time, her mind, morals and view of the world had become greatly twisted. She still wanted to do good deeds and help others, but her methods and even goals were way off. She decided to only kill and eat "bad" people, so that her mind can rest easy, however, due to her messed up moral compass, that usually didn't go all that well. Her means of helping people were also usually not well received, like when she tried to kill Hana "to set her free".

Intelligence: Astyana is surprisingly intelligent, although she often seems crazier than anything else. She learned multiple complicated spells in a fairly short time and is in general a quick learner. To simply reach as far into the layers as she did, is only possible with a very sturdy, hard to shake mind. If she didn't have that, she would have likely ended up completely brain dead. This intelligence of hers is however compromised by the fact that she permanently needs to suppress the souls within her, putting a great toll on her mental, physical and spiritual well being. Later during her life her consciousness fades further and further, leaving her more or less mindless. Although she manages to recover some of it, it came at a cost. Her mind was completely messed up. Her thought processes, sense of judgment and logical thinking suffered the most, which heavily reflected on her actions. Although she only ever means good, an outsider would very likely mistake her for a psychopathic villain.
Weaknesses: Other than her frail mentality, none notable.

- Fire Magic: Generic fare based magic. Can create and control large amounts of fire, ranging to temperatures of up to 16.000.000°C.
- Wind Magic: Generic wind based magic. Can create storms or be used to fly and lift objects.
- Gas Magic: A magic that can create and control all sorts of gases. This can range from toxic gases to highly flammable ones.
- Water Magic: Generic water based magic. Can be used to create floods, large waves and rain.
- Ice Magic: A subtype from water magic. Can freeze things to almost absolute zero. This is not strictly limited to water, but anything that contains liquids.
- Earth Magic: Generic earth based magic. Can shift the earth, create canyons and earthquakes.
- Golem Magic: Creates stone golems with their own mind, loyally supporting the caster of the magic. There are multiple types and sizes of golems, with different levels of strength. They tend to vary between city-block and small island level in strength and durability. They will keep reforming for as long as the user possesses mana.

- Explosion Magic: The user compresses highly explosive gas and lights it on fire. The limit comes only down to the user’s mana.

- Weather and Storm Magic: The ability to create storm cloud and hurricanes. With this even lightning can be created, however, not controlled. If needed hundreds of lightning bolts can be created at once. It can also be used to create fog or mist to hide in.

- Sandstorm Magic: The magic to control sand and create sandstorms.

- Portal creation: Spatial magic that allows the user to open a portal to any place. The further the other side of the portal is away, the more mana is needed.
- Teleportation: The magic to instantly teleport to any place you have visited before.
- Storage Magic: The magic to create a storage dimension. This one in particular isn't connected to the flow of time and allows the user to pull out objects they haven't even put into the storage yet.
- Dark Magic:
- Curse Magic: Curse magic has many different uses, depending on the curse used. It can range from horrible luck to even death.
- Darkness Magic: Magic that manipulates darkness itself. Not very useful outside of concealment.
- Necromancy: Magic that infuses the souls of the dead into objects, to bring them alive. The infused object will then change its shape to suit the infused soul. The strength is dependent on the soul.
- Light Magic: Magic to create and manipulate blinding light. It can be bundled and focused to create grave damage or simply be used to illuminate rooms or to blind an opponent for a getaway.
- Magical Bullets: She infuses pure mana and parts of her saints flame into her anti-aircraft cannon. These bullets hit incredibly hard and usually don't leave any trace of whatever is hit.
Achilles' Immortality, which was granted by Chaos, is that of the "unchanging". Any outside force, which tries to influence the body, will be nullified. It turns her skin and even her organs invulnerable and allows her to resist all kinds of things, like poison, radiation, diseases, extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme gravity, etc. Unlike Achilles, she doesn't possess the same kind of weakness. Her body is fully covered by it, from head to toe. The only exceptions are parts of her body that weren't originally hers, like her wings, horns, halo, etc.
A saint’s flame is a remnant of Chaos. It is usually only given to the ones that lost something during the split of the narrative. Astyana however gained it by consuming Achilles and other gods and demigods who possessed a flame. The saints flame has many different uses, the main use however is the erasure from the main narrative itself or to be more exact, it "moves" whatever is affected into  and turns them into something that cannot be. As a simple explanation, if Aether was a page that can be written on,  isn't simply an empty page or the description of emptiness, but a hole cut into the paper or the lack of a paper all together. The only way to resist it, is by having a saints flame yourself or vastly overpowering it. The only character within the story that managed to do so was Aether, one of the three supreme beings. One flame might also be greater than another flame, allowing one flame to consume and overwrite the other. This is also how Astyana died in the end. A saint's flame also puts the user in great agony at all times, making it feel like one's soul is getting ripped apart. This gets even worse with increasing amounts of flames. Jack, who has two, is considered extraordinary for not simply falling into a pain induced coma. Astyana has multiple hundred flames within her body, although vastly weaker. A saints flame greatly increases the adaptability and evolution rate, when applied to a human. The body won't know how to combat it and starts evolving to a point where any new obstacle will be overcome in a very short time. This is how Astyana not only resisted, but also gained abilities from her suicide attempts.
- Beyond Measure
- Time Manipulation: The ability to alter and change time. Astyana tried to use this ability to change time so that she would never end up in this situation to begin with, but had to realize that since she is now separated from the flow of time, it won't have any effect on her current self. Instead she simply created alternate timelines, in which she had killed herself over and over again, in hopes of changing her present self.
- Space Manipulation: The ability to alter all of the lower steps, the World Tree and the surrounding void into anything imaginable. This ability is however strictly limited to small things. If anyone was to use it on a grand scale anyways, like turning everything into a different story, an avatar of Aether would put one to justice, as it is strictly forbidden to ensure the growth potential of everyone.
- Mental Existence: When entering the first layer, one leaves their physical body behind. This makes it so these beings are unaffected by physical changes. If one was to lose their body, they can simply create a new one.
- Beyond Comprehension
- Madness Aura: If anyone comes too close to the physical embodiment of one of these beings, they will start sweating uncontrollably and gasp for air. They will be filled with an unexplainable fear. If one was to hear or let alone see or touch one of those beings, unconsciousness or death will be the result.
- Paradoxical Actions: Although these beings aren't paradoxical existences, like the next layer, they are capable of making paradoxical and nonsensical actions. If watches, they seem to make perfect sense.
- Beyond Meaning
- All encompassing Existence: The ability to say "yes" and/or "no" to anything and everything at the same time. The things they can say "yes" and "no" to are only limited 1. by whether they exist within Aether (Within Aether exists all that can and can't be expressed in words.) and 2. The next layer.
- Paradoxical Existence: With the all encompassing existence also comes the paradoxical existence. These beings can change everything about them and decide their own "truth." This includes inherently contradictory things, like having multiple sizes at once. If someone was to now measure, it would yield multiple values and all would be correct and seen as fine. If someone was to observe this, they wouldn't find anything wrong with it. Even when specifically asked, whether it makes any sense for someone to have multiple sizes, they wouldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
- Existence beyond Meaning: These beings can now also exist in their "truest" form. A "form" that leaves behind all meanings, explanations, etc., in the same way a beyond dimensional being leaves behind things like sizes. Trying to give this a proper explanation is however nigh impossible and the moment one tries, it is already wrong, since they exist "beyond" the explanation and meaning of their own existence. Trying to interact with them in this form is completely impossible, since nothing that can be described or even not described, can affect them. Technically speaking even this explanation is meaningless and "false". It was simply meant to give an understanding of it anyways.
- The word of God: The ability to enforce laws upon lower steps or even oneself. These laws are the only thing within their "sub-narrative" that can affect even beings beyond meaning. The limitations of this are that the law may not be used to limit anyone’s growth potential or directly limit any abilities of someone else. If these rules are not upheld, an avatar of Aether will put the perpetrator to justice.
