Ashley Lee

Summary[]

The spirit of the Romeo & Juliet fountain is the spirit of a deceased lovesick teenage girl within the universe of Monstrosity.

Prior to her demise, Ashley Lee was a regular high schooler. Those who had the fortune of crossing paths with her would undoubtedly speak highly of her, depicting a girl full of life and joy who would seize every opportunity to lend a helping hand to those in need.

The young lady, possessing an endearing demeanor and a smile capable of melting even the most frigid of hearts, found herself flooded with boys attempting to court her in attempt to gain her affection. However, Ashley would leave more than one broken heart, as hers already belonged to another. His name? Blake Waylon.

Prior to meeting Blake, Ashley never thought much about love; to her, it was a foreign concept. She could understand love in a familial way, but never came close to understanding why her friends would talk about their newest celebrity crush for hours.

Everything changed the moment she caught a glimpse of Blake's emerald eyes. She felt a warm feeling strike her to her very core, causing an unfamiliar tightness in her chest as she almost felt her heart skip a beat. Finally, she understood what love was, and she had to acquire it.

At first, it started small, such as stealing glimpses at him whenever he wasn't looking her way or simply waving at him with a warm smile when they would cross each other in a hallway. But ever so slowly, what started out as an innocent crush would devolve into a sickening obsession.

The accumulation of which would all come crashing down when Ashley found another girl, known as Samantha, flirting with Blake. Once again, she experienced a constriction in her chest, akin to her heart momentarily ceasing to beat, yet on this occasion, it was a result of intense anger.

The mere thought of losing her beloved to this dimwitted red head made Ashley's blood boil, and so she plotted for a way to get rid of this insignificant pest.

Using her knowledge of her beloved's perfect handwriting down to the detail of how he dotted his I with a little smiley, Ashely wrote a false romantic letter to Samantha. Within the letter, she informed her to meet her at the school's fountain, a location that was rumored to make it impossible for your crush to refuse your love.

Ashley waited for what seemed to be an eternity, hidden behind a tree as she tightly clutched the kitchen knife she had brought just for this occasion.

The moment she caught a glimpse of the ginger, flaunting a bright smile on her face as she walked to the fountain, undoubtedly hoping that Blake would reveal to her his affection, Ashley jumped from behind the tree, brandishing her blade as she began her assault on her rival.

Despite her utter shock, Samantha, sporting a more muscular physique, was able to struggle with her attacker, panically attempting to disarm her. The two struggled, unable to gain a proper advantage over the other, until, the red head pushed Ashley back with all her force.

Ashley's eyes widened as she was pushed away, as she lost her footing, the last thing she heard was the sickening crunch of her skull cracking on the stone fountain.

Nowadays, the fountain gained an infamous reputation, if a couple was ever to pass by it, it is said that Ashley's vengeful spirit will murder the woman without an ounce of sympathy. As for the man, he will momentarily be spared, forced to watch their beloved's corpse as they are flooded with questions before eventually joining them as the spirit bitterly rips out their heart, having been once again tricked into believing she would finally be reunited with Blake.
