What is your purpose? To kill an innocent life, a child no less? To enforce some type of twisted justice? Or is it to protect those who cannot protect themselves? To help the helpless, save the hopeless, isn't that what an Executor should do?
~ Artemis convincing Tsukyo

Artemis Bennet is the deuteragonist in Olethros, the leader of the Argos and would eventually convince Tsukyo to join their side. She was originally a normal citizen in New Olympus, naive to the true nature of its tyrant. But after finding a young child scavenging around a food, she would eventually have to fight to protect them from the dangers of the city. In truth, she discovered a Titan-Human hybrid that Zaeto Kagami wanted to acquire in order to experiment and create new humans from the child's genetic material. Along with the rest of the Argos, sans Tsukyo, she would be able to escape into the wider wasteland of the world.

Appearance[]

Artemis is a very skinny and even somewhat malnourished young adult, obviously not being the most healthy of those around her. Due to her nature of taking all the work for herself, she often appears tired and pale. But she is not without her fair share of scars and marks, with most of them gathered from fighting against other humans. It is the main reason why she covers her right hand with her glove, as that hand has a large gash running across it. With long silver hair flowing all the way down to her torso, it is complimented by her eyes that are a mixture of blue and orange.

Although saying that she doesn't stand out from the crowd in terms of clothing, Artemis does have a slight fascination for fashion. Due to the cataclysmic events that occurred, she hasn't been able to wear anything more than some simple clothes. She wears a loose-fitting light gray shirt with various black stripes running across it, almost giving it the appearance of a sweater. The fabric itself is very similar to that of a sweater as well. Underneath it, she wears a navy tanktop with the white symbol of a dove carrying an olive branch, soaring through the sky. Although she has commented on wanting to wear some type of dress, she had to settle for a pair of khaki dress pants, along with white and gray running shoes.

Personality[]

Artemis has multiple characteristics befitting her of being the leader of the Argos. She is capable of changing and inspring those around her with her words. This is thanks to her unnatural ability to tell the emotions and feelings of others, and even nearly connecting to them on a personal level. She was the one that gathered the Argos together and is often seen as the 'mother' of the group. Most of the time, she is seen as being incredibly busy either holding everyone together or working on something in her meantime. A problem that she faces, quite obvious, is that she doesn't take the time to take care of herself. Her mind often worries about the unknown possibilities, almost nearly focusing on the negative effects.

This has shaped her more vulnerable side, as she faces severe abandonment issues, unable to accept someone in her life leaving. Constantly looking for others to be around, she is very rarely seen by herself. Although it even might not look like at it, Artemis looks to others for advice and support on what she should do. The main factor holding her back from fully trusting others is her anxiety, believing that those around her could possibly become traitors. There has only been one person in her life that she could truly trust with her life, but even that took an ungodly amount of time and effort on both parties' efforts.

Relationships[]

Tsukyo Ulysses[]

You're the first person I ever wanted to ask about this, but, do you think I would look good in a dress? Like, an actual dress that we used to wear before this world turned to shit?

Tsukyo is the first person that Artemis could ever trust with her life, even going so far as to claim the Executor as under her protection when facing against the rest of the Argos. That being said, the road to getting there was extremely difficult. Multiple circumstances occurred where the two had to rely on each other to get them to this point. Even after several rescues from Tsukyo, Artemis was still suspicious of her. But it was until Tsukyo finally renounced her title in front of Zaeto that Artemis would break down her walls around the Executor. In the times when the group was able to rest, the two talked to each other and got to know one another better.

To Artemis, Tsukyo was her one and only friend that she could truly break her shell and facade around, acting just like a regular young adult that got wrapped up in the mess of the world. This comfort and relaxation around Tsukyo eventually made Artemis wonder who Tsukyo was to her. For a bit, things were awkward between the two as they had no idea what their relationship was. But in the end, they managed to finally talk about it. No matter how hesitant Artemis was to start a deeper relationship, Tsukyo had comforted her along the way. That was when Artemis realized that she was in love with Tsukyo, and her feelings weren't just admiration. After their talk, multiple of their discussions were compared to 'a married couple', much to their embarrassment.

Please, don't go.

It is what broke her heart when she saw Tsukyo leave to sacrifice herself in order to become a distraction. But thanks to Tsukyo's plan, Artemis and the rest of the Argos were able to flee to safety. To this day, Artemis would never forget her first and only love.

Abel[]

....Thanks.

Artemis originally saw Abel in a very similar light as Tsukyo, seeing the man as nothing more than a hired gun to help them along their journey. One could see why, as she was the one to pay him the money to help the group to safety. Still, she saw his usefulness in the field and often wondered if he was some type of failed Executor. Being integral in the formation of the Argos, Artemis began to realize how much of an outcast Abel was when compared to others in his line of work. For one, the man sticks to his word and even has a code of honor. Something not many other mercenaries in the world have with the dwindling resources. Eventually, she began to respect what he was capable of, and slowly realized his indetity as a partner and member of the Argos.

Einstein Holmes[]

I trust you to get the job done. Is that good enough?

Artemis' relationship with Einstein can be slightly strained, as the two has had their fair share of differences amongst the group. With Einstein's natural genius, Artemis has had an especially hard time convincing them to go along with her plans and actions. The two knew eachother from sparse interactions from when they were both regular citizens before finding the truth. The most their interactions had were simple greetings before going on their way. Which is what made it especially difficult to have Einstein trust her and eventually form the Argos. Still, just because of their simple bickers here and there, Artemis and Einstein can agree that they lead a group of outcasts in order to save another one.

Andrew Rivera[]

Indeed, but he is making do with what he has.
~ Artemis replying to Tsukyo

Artemis' first meeting with the child was when she found him scrounging around in a dumpster, looking around for some food. Although seeing Andrew as a child that couldn't survive in New Olympus, she felt a strange pull to him, eventually offering to help him to some food. After that, the two created a sort of mother and child relationship, with Artemis wholeheartedly saying that he could trust in her. She surmises that this is because of her own maternal instincts, in a way, but she was never good with that type of thing. Still, she feels quite proud of Andrew and what he is in this world, seeing the child's innocence and positivity as something to admire. After all, not anyone can keep up such a positive attitude in the middle of a wasteland, surviving in a corrupt city no less.

Combat Statistics[]

Tier: 8-C, ignores durability with Ivory Rose

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Expert Scythe Wielder (Can wield Ivory Rose with utmost expertise and has even been stated by Tsukyo that if the two were on an even playing field, Artemis would win with her skill), Power Nullification, Soul Manipulation, Quantum Manipulation, Regeneration Negation (Up to High), and Immortality Negation (Type III) with Ivory Rose (Ivory Rose is capable of striking through spiritual phenomena and even directly attack the soul if need be. Works just like weapons Executors use, which are capable of severing quantum bonds and kill Titans)

Attack Potency: Building Level (Was able to compare and manage to fight against a Titan, who are capable of turning tanks into dust), ignores durability with Ivory Rose (Ivory Rose was capable of damaging higher-end Titans such as Azrael and Executors like Argentum Alba, though he was caught off-guard)

Speed: Hypersonic (Capable of reacting to and deflecting bullets that move at Mach 5 speeds)

Lifting Strength: Unknown, possibly Superhuman (Was able to slightly push Argentum Alba, however he was caught off-guard)

Striking Strength: Building Level

Durability: Building Level

Stamina: Athletic. Was still capable of moving around and managing to carry others around despite not being able to rest for multiple hours.

Range: Extended Melee Range

Standard Equipment:

  • Ivory Rose: The signature weapon of Artemis, being a weapon that she managed to recover from the wreckage of the ruins of a secret weapon meant to be used before Executors rose up to protect humanity. This unique scythe is capable of cutting through quantum bonds, with its mere presence even being capable of nullifying and even halting an Executor's Will from being exerted onto reality. However, doing so would strain the weapon and heat it to immense levels not even other Executors are capable of withstanding and wield it effectively.

Intelligence: Artemis is considered to be a rather intelligent figure, as the leader of the Argos. Although not as smart as Tsukyo and nowhere near Einstein, she is capable of leading and using every one of her teammates' strengths to their advantages.

Weaknesses: Cannot use Ivory Rose in the presence of other Executors, otherwise her hands begin to burn.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Sen-kai no Suingu: By extracting the entirety of her strength of her body, Artemis is capable of swinging Ivory Rose at mach speeds, allowing her to even deflect bullets that were being shot at her. She has even used it to cleave apart multiple Titans.
