Zayin, the personification of the Reader and human consciousness
“ | I will tell you who I am for you to understand who you are talking about... I'm you! That's right! I am the omniscient reader. I am the omnipresent blank page, and I am the omnipotent author! I AM ZAYIN, THE GODDESS OF MIRACLES! F*CK! | „ |
~ Zayin to her owner, Arial Jacques. |
“ | Well, I think by now you are aware too. But you and I are... Magna characters. So you don't have to worry about me dying or living, in the end, as long as people believe in me, I will exist. After all, I am Lucifer. I won't disappear any time soon from the minds of humans, hehe. | „ |
~ Helena Smith about her nature to Isaac Smith. |
Summary[]
Anthropomorphic Physiology, also known as Embodiment Physiology, refers to a particular ability of Warriors of Eden characters, belonging to both heroes and villains, which is the fact that the characters are fictional personifications of real-world concepts and physiologies of various ideas spread around the world, like the Abrahamic religions mainly. These specific characters are archetypal characters, being concepts personified within the fictional world of Warriors of Eden, such as Lucifer being the personification of the fallen angel of Christianity of the same name, or Isaac Smith, being the personification of John of Patmos, the author of the book of Revelations.
Metafictional Physiology[]
Unlike other works, which try to tell Jewish and Christian stories by adapting Biblical characters, in the Warriors of Eden universe, the characters are metafictional, being aware that they are only fictional versions of mythologies and related characters. That is, they are aware that they are adaptations created by the author of Warriors of Eden of characters from various religions around the world, and that there are several other fictional "versions" of them around the world based on the mythological character. The reason for this is that the characters in Warriors of Eden are literally just adaptations and reinterpretations of mythological characters or concepts and ideas.
To make it simpler to understand, it is as if there is only one original "Lucifer", which is the archetype of the fallen angel who rebelled against Abrahamic God in the past. The other characters from other fictions like Lucifer from Throne of Heaven, including the protagonist of Warriors of Eden, are just fictional adaptations of the mythological character. This is something Helena is aware of and understands in a sense her existence as a fictional personification of Lucifer.
Types[]
- Type 0: Characters who in a sense are aware of their fictional existence, but at a much lower level, such as Jeanne Smith, who is aware that it is part of the Warriors of Eden narrative, but does not fully understand her role within the story, as she is a "secondary" character.
- Type 1: Characters who are personifications of other fictional characters and are aware of it, can break the narrative and "play" with the meta-narrative, referring to themselves as fictional characters and understand what their roles are in the Warriors of Eden story, Springtrap for exemple.
- Type 2: Characters that are literally personifications of mythological characters and/or other concepts involving the philosophical field, such as Lucifer who is the personification of the fallen Angel Lucifer, or Michael, who is based on the biblical character while being a reinterpretation of the character.
- Type 3: Characters who are abstract personifications of all-encompassing archetypes, existing so abstractly that all their manifestations in the Warriors of Eden universe are just avatars and aspects of being. The entity that comprises this type of personification is God himself, the all-powerful deity of creation, who comprises an existence that encompasses Omnitheism, who interprets that there is some truth behind all religions, with perhaps all religions pointing to the same God, unique and singular.
