Summary[]
Alex is the main protagonist of Monster Mansion: Afteryears and adopted son to Catherine Aberdeen. He seeks to make a name for himself in humanity and monsterkind in their unified world and not be tied down to his mother's legacy.
Personality[]
Alex is a slightly introverted young man, though he values his friends and loved ones just as much as anybody. Much like his mother, he holds a lot of love and compassion in his heart. He is also very adventurous, eager to start his work of doing missions at the mansion his mother runs.
Despite these positive traits, Alex suffers from heavy survivor's guilt over the death of his older sister, Azalea, whom he lived with as a child in an orphanage. Azalea was wracked with a genetic neurodegenerative disease that left her wheelchair bound, and her health rapidly degenerated until her untimely death when Alex was only six. Following this, Alex was soon adopted by Catherine and Shiori, being taken into their family as their youngest child, and becoming the younger brother to Violet. Despite these problems, he is very adept at hiding them from his family and friends, able to keep up appearances.
Overtime, through the support of his friends and family, Alex is able to repair his cracked personality and heal from the scars of his past, coming to genuinely love life and find worth in himself and how he brings light and joy to the lives of others, growing even more fiercely determined to protect them from the dangers of the world and those who seek to do them harm.
