Summary[]

Alastor appears in Black Gryph0n & Baasik's duology of songs for his character, consisting of "Insane" and "Daises".

In "Daises", Alastor meets an unnamed man, whom he convinces to follow him by charming him with his theatrics. From there, Alastor shows the man around his garden and takes him into the woods. Alastor leads the man to a dingy shed, where he reveals that he is a serial killer who hangs the teeth of his victims on a wall, before brandishing an axe and pursuing the man through the woods. The man ends up tripping, allowing Alastor to catch up to him and hack him to death with his axe. When Alastor finishes burying the man's corpse, a group of hunters mistake him for a deer due to the deer tracks he left with his shoes and the nighttime environment making it hard to see, and they end up shooting him to death. The music video ends on a shot of a flower growing where the man's corpse was buried. In "Insane", Alastor finds himself in the fiery pits of Hell. He is initially confused, but very quickly accepts his damnation and looks to continue his serial killing career in Hell. Alastor also meets an unnamed individual who he knew while he was alive, whom he sings the entire song to.

The events of "Daises" is based on the few tidbits of Alastor's backstory given by Hazbin Hotel series creator, Vivienne Medrano, across her old livestreams. Because of this, "Daises" has been credited as a "really accurate rendition of Alastor's lore" by a certified Hazbin Hotel expert.

Powers and Stats[]

Tier: 10-B, 9-C with Fire Axe | At least 9-C

Key: Human | Sinner

Name: Alastor

Origin: Black Gryph0n

Gender: Male

Age: Late 30s - Early 40s (He should be the same age as his canon counterpart.)

Classification: Human, "equal-opportunity killer", former disc jockey[1] | Demon, Sinner, "equal-opportunity killer", "Hell's latest arrival"

Powers and Abilities:

Attack Potency: Human level (In his human state, Alastor shows no feats of significant strength.), Street level with Fire Axe (Fire axes are typically used to chop through wood, and they can cause severe damage to a human skull. Alastor presumably uses it to cut out his victims' teeth, and he later hacks somebody to death with it.) | At least Street level (After he "expired", Alastor is implied to be far superior to anything his human self would have been capable of, saying that his previous murders were "high school" and he's now "going for [his] degree". According to the description of "Insane", Alastor's power in Hell is apparently proportional to the amount of unspeakable crimes he committed on Earth[1].)

Speed: Average Human travel speed, combat speed, and reactions (Alastor briefly ran away from a hunter's hunting rifle, though he was still shot down by it.) | Unknown travel speed, combat speed, and reactions

Lifting Strength: Average Human (Alastor can handle a fire axe without any issue.) | Unknown

Striking Strength: Human level | At least Street level

Durability: Human level (Alastor was killed by a bullet to the head from a hunting rifle.) | At least Street level (He should be comparable to his Attack Potency.)

Stamina: At least Average (Alastor did not seem tired at any point during the events of the video.) | Unknown

Range: Standard Melee Range, Extended Melee Range with Fire Axe | Standard Melee Range

Standard Equipment: Staff, deer-hoofed shoes

  • Optional Equipment: Fire Axe (Human form only)

Intelligence: Above Average (Alastor is smart enough to hide his murders by covering his tracks with deer-hoofed shoes. He seems to have gotten away with 10 different murders by the events of "Daises".)

Standard Tactics: Alastor usually uses his Fire Axe to hack victims to death. One thing that's consistent across all of his murders is that Alastor seems to carve out his victim's teeth to hang them on his wall. (Human form only)

Weaknesses: Alastor doesn't seem to actively chase after escaping victims as much as he just walks after them, presumably out of some sort of arrogance. Otherwise, none notable. | Presumably same as before.

Notable Matchups[]

Losses:

Marsh (A Girl in All Boy School) Marsh's profile (Battle took place in Marsh's school, Alastor was in his sinner key, and both were 9-C)
