Summary[]
Adam Newman is one of the secondary protagonists in Collapse, being the previous leader and now advisor of The Rebels. Before forming the group of renegades, he was a normal citizen in the Borea before realizing the truth of the Court. In reality, he is an entity of immense psionic power known as the Silver Key, with Nyarlathotep wishing to absorb him to use his power in order to destroy the Outer Gods. As such, he escaped their influence before realizing what destruction they caused. In order to combat them, he created the renegade group known as The Rebels. Thus started his fight across all of time and space against the Abyssal Court.
Appearance[]
Adam takes on the appearance of a rather well-built young adult, looking at least somewhat akin to his actual age. With messy black hair that often spikes up, more often than not it is dyed light green thanks to the inherent powers of the Silver Key. His eyes are a shade of piercing red, and his pupils take on the appearance of sharp ovals, if you will. On the palm of his hand rests a strange symbol, that being of a key. As such, he often hides its appearance through the use of dark green fingerless gloves. After spending some r and r with The Rebels in a rather peaceful world, his skin eventually gained a slight tan to it and his hair would be dyed completely black, being a bit longer than it usually would. Unfortunately, Nakano would point out that his hair was quite stubborn, as it refused to change into any other hairstyle and stick with its spiky appearance.
Most commonly, Adam would wear a green camouflage military jacket over a dark gray shirt, with a white scarf adorning his neck. Even when in causal appearance, he never lets go of it, or out of his sight. In order to communicate with the others of the group, and focus on the control of his psionic powers, his right ear wears an earset that blinks red when receiving messages. He completes this set of clothes with green camouflage pants running down to black combat boots. After his awakening, he would go on to wield a sword that would turn into a naginata. It would be much like Ruby Rose's Scythe, capable of changing into a box form secured by the back hip.
Personality[]
Adam is someone who is stoic in all that he does, and that can be off putting to others. Still, that does not downplay any of his heroic qualities. He will always stand up for others that are facing injustice, and will always look to do more than what is needed. But he rarely seems to talk upon most occasions, and when he does, it feels something akin to an interrogation more than anything else. Thanks to this, he is terrible in communication and conversation, with the only ones who truly understand him being The Rebels, his family. He feels he owes a great debt to them, and tries to help in anything that they do, even though he is the Co-Leader and creator.
He is quick to pick up on how a person is feeling and know how to motivate them. The only problem is that trying to articulate his motivation is tough. Sometimes he can be too soft-spoken, or too energetic. Oftentimes, he won't say anything at all. At best, his advice can be seen as rather pushy, and at worst, forcing people to change. There are often times where he can't read the situation, and it can lead to arguments that leave his relationship with the other individual worse. Luckily, after a talk with The Rebels, this has seemed to calm down. In the end, he is the glue of the group, constantly holding them together and can often mediate between arguing parties. He is a strong advocate for self-reliance, constantly making sure that those he saves can save themselves when he is unable to. His strong and passionate nature is a catalyst for change in many, with an exceptional example being Nakano.

- Susanoo: Adam's Omikami, a sword that can take on many appearances. It most commonly takes on the form of a mechanical sword capable of transforming into a naginata, with its resting form being something akin to a box. However, this is only the form it wants to take on, and it can transform into a multitude of many other things. But its strength lies in its nature as an Omikami, being bound to Adam's existence. Thanks to this, Adam can continously resurrect as long as Susanoo still exists, with it even being used to boost his strength and power. Lastly, there is one unique trait that solidifies it as one of the strongest Omikami out there. Its ability to alter and bend logic to its will. With it, it almost seems that the universe bends to make sure that its attacks always strike.
Intelligence: Genius (Is a capable leader and has been considered to be a smart individual by even Nixon. Was able to keep up with Amara's conversation, which would confuse even the greater minds at the time. Is exceptionally skilled in combat, and could keep up with opponents much more powerful than he by his skill alone. Standard Tactics: Thanks to the nature of Presences alone, Adam practically strikes first. As his Presence is an Offensive type, he will often try to close the distance between him and his opponents, using his Presence to defend and strike back. In melee combat, he will immediately use Susanoo and attempt to land killing blows. However, he can be careful if he knows his opponent is a threat, not relying or abusing his regenerative abilities. Superimposed Existence: Thanks to wielding the power of an Omikami, Adam is virtually immortal as his existence now becomes tied to such. So long as the Omikami in question still exists, he is capable of coming back from any destruction and even shrug off debilitating or even lethal wounds. Such a weapon grants him immense regeneration, even to the point where he came back from the destruction of his State. In the utmost dire of situations, Adam is capable of pushing his consciousness into his Omikami, inhabiting it and making it become his own body. Still, with an existence tied to his Omikami, he also experiences its own existence, with his true form residing with the whole form of where they came from.
The Final Gate: The full power of the Silver Key, it unlocks all Gates of the psyche and allows the wielder to become omnipotent over their own mind. Thanks to this, they have access to the limitless vacua of psychic energy. Their standing in reality is now gone to even the Outer Gods, losing all physicality or metaphysical stature. They inhabit a level of reality where Paradox Demons stand, and their psionic power in time can be used to alter even the fabric of reality itself.
