Abe no Kiyohime (Real name: Shizume Tsuchimikado) is a snake youkai who, many years in the past, consumed the soul of the greatest and most powerful onmyoudou practitioner, becoming a great youkai herself. This left her with his many Shikigami, and, over a thousand years later, she sensed one of her Shikigami, Ruri, when she witnessed the Tougenkyuu and its travel to Gensokyo. Excited to reclaim her, Kiyohime pursued her into Gensokyo.
