Legion was right, Lucifer. You are no longer the same. You were just envy and jealous of the daddy who didn't pay attention to you, and after living with his little human friends, you decided to go back to being the Angel of Light and the Star of Dawn and bla bla bla. This night, your end and that of your Father will be inevitable. Heaven will fall and Hell will come to Earth.
~ Abaddon to Lucifer before the Battle at Megiddo.

Abaddon, also known by many other names like Apollyon, Demon of the Abyss, Angel of the Bottomless Pit and The Destroyer, is a powerful and evil Demon created by Lucifer, the daughter of dawn, and the main antagonist of Warriors of Eden. After Lucifer's disappearance from Hell, the Demon Lords began a search for the Morning Star, and upon discovering that Lucifer had become a human and returned to Heaven, Abaddon came to the conclusion that Sheol needed a new leader and wanted revenge on Lucifer and God by bringing about the event the Father and daughter wanted so badly to avoid, the Apocalypse.

Backstory[]

Birth[]

After the Regent of Light, Lucifer, fell from Heaven for going against God's orders to bow to Adam and Eve, she ended up in Sheol, an unknown, dark and empty dimension whose purpose is still unknown to most Angels, even for her. When she arrived in Sheol, the Daughter of the Morning ascended with her flames that place, illuminating with a reddish fire that never goes out, living up to her title of "Bearer of Light", thus transforming Sheol into the current Hell known by humans.

After reforming Sheol, Lucifer began creating beings from her power to help her start her reign and thus be able to take revenge on God. In order not to waste too much energy, most of the millions of Demons were created from insignificant fragments of Lucifer's power, but they were still stronger than an average human. The strongest demons were the Lords of Hell, these being: Leviathan, Asmodeus, Lilith, Belial, Abaddon, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, Azazel, Mammon and Belphegor. These Demons were in charge of a specific circle of Hell, Belial was in charge of the First; Asmodeus was in charge of the Second; Third of the Beelzebub; Fourth of the Mammon; Azazel of the fifth; Leviathan of the Sixth; Belphegor of the seventh; Abaddon of the eighth and finally, Lucifer would be in the ninth circle with Lilith.

Abaddon was in charge of 250 million demons, 83,000 legions, all of them possessing scorpion-like bodies, who were in a strange and sinister part of Hell known only as the "Abyss", which is a gigantic dark pit, where the demons of Abaddon are torturing fraudsters and liars.

Dark Ages[]

During the Middle Ages, also called the Dark Ages, with the spread of Christianity and due to the commandment "thou shalt have no other gods", the altars of pagan gods were increasingly being destroyed and the gods were increasingly weakened as their cults were abandoned by humanity, which resulted in most deities isolating themselves in the spiritual plane, thus causing sorcerers to lose their sources of power. Abaddon and his legions took advantage that humans involved with magic needed a source for their spells, and began to receive worship in exchange for giving power to witches and sorcerers, thus giving rise to the first Satanist communities. During this period, Abaddon became known as "Apollyon", "The Destroyer" and the "Demon of the Abyss" by the Church, being confused with the Devil herself.

20th century[]

During the 20th century, the couple Samuel Smith and Esther Roberts began to close the gates of Hell that gave access to Earth, something that drew a lot of attention from demons, including the Demon Lords who sent their troops to stop humans. However, Samuel and Esther managed to close the gates of Hell, imprisoning all the Demon Lords and their various demons within Hell, with a few demons remaining trapped on Earth. A few years after the sealing of the gates of Hell, Lucifer ended up disappearing from Sheol, which left all the Demon Lords confused and without what to do, which forced them to try to do something to escape the Infernal Abyss. Mammon, for example, asked a follower, Berith Edwards, to try to perform a ritual to undo the couple's spell and open the Infernal portals.

Lucifer's Redemption[]

Years after the Morning Star disappeared, it was discovered by demons who heard some comments from angels that, in reality, Lucifer was trapped in the human body of a woman named Helena Smith, the granddaughter of the same couple who sealed the portals of Hell. The Princes of Hell after receiving the news understood what it was about, saying "this is the finger of God". Abaddon then came up with the idea of trying to destroy Lucifer's human body and any remnants of feelings involving her human family, with the intention of making her hate God and everything again. After that, with much effort from the Infernal Princes and thanks to the fact that Berith Edwards had managed to open a small crack in space and time with the ritual partially completed, they managed to send the demon Mehiel and various other Devils to Earth, which attacked the city where Lucifer lived. Legion and the other demons managed to make Helena recover some of her memories of Lucifer and, in the midst of the battle, Helena in a fit of rage killed Legion.

However, the plan didn't exactly work out, though Lucifer partially recovered her Angel memories, her human side still maintained control of her personality and Helena decided that she would continue fighting to protect her family, before "Lucifer took over her body" again. Helena and her brother and sister-in-law set out on a quest to obtain Metatron's Cube, and with Gabriel's help, Helena was purified by the Seraphim Metatron's Cube, resulting in her splitting into two sides, an Angelic side, with the personality both the human Helena and the Angel Lucifer who inhabited Heaven and loved God and her siblings, and the other side, the jealous, envious, vengeful and extremist Devil, also known as the Great Red Dragon.

Cursed be you, Yahweh! Damn you, Lucifer! You're weaker than I thought, you bastard and bitch! Go back to daddy's arms, loser. Hell now has a new leader.
~ Abaddon enraged with Lucifer.

After that, Lucifer returned to Heaven, something that for the Demons, especially Abaddon and Lilith, was the most impossible thing to believe, but it was reality, the Angel Lucifer had repented and been forgiven by God, so the end of the world, the battle of Heaven and Hell, of light and darkness, the Apocalypse, had all been canceled with the redemption of the Morning Star. Abaddon then, in a fit of rage, decided that he would be the new leader of Hell, however, obviously other Lord Demons such as Belial and Leviathan were against Abaddon's will and, the Abyss Demon to everyone's surprise, attacked and killed the two Demon Lords with a direct hit to their heads. After that, the other Demon Lords bowed before Abaddon and swore loyalty and that he would be the new leader. Abaddon then went to the last circle of Hell, the ninth, and sat on Lucifer's throne.

Abaddon, after becoming the new leader of Hell, was determined to start the Apocalypse, however, he had no idea how, as the portals of Hell were still closed. A year after Lucifer's departure to Paradise and after the events involving Berith Edwards, who was killed by Lucifer's human brother and sent to Hell, only to be tortured and then expelled by Mammon for being considered unworthy to exist even in Hell, since because of him, Lucifer had returned to Heaven and the gates of Hell remained closed. Then, suddenly, to the surprise of all the demons and souls that were in the ninth circle of Hell, a portal opened and a gigantic dragon serpent fell into Cocytus, thrashing and destroying everything around it. It was Great Red Dragon, which had been cast into the Infernal Abyss by Isaac Smith, the Malakh Daniel and the Seraph Shekhinah, something that gave Abaddon and his demons a lot of headache.

For several months, the Demon of the Abyss and his devils tried to defeat the Dragon, but he was far more powerful than anything they had ever faced, and it was clear to them that this was actually the husk of what was left of Lucifer. After months of trying to defeat that draconic serpent, Great Red had fed on several souls and demons, which resulted in him transforming into a huge Seven-Headed Dragon and, single-handedly, managed to open a dimensional portal out of Hell. Although Sheol was devastated, the Red Dragon managed to further weaken the spell that bound the demons in Hell, thus allowing Demons to be able to make manifestations and possessions on Earth, although not with as much power.

Beginning of Sorrows[]

Now with Demons able to make possessions, Abaddon had an idea. The Demon of the Abyss decided to possess Robert Thatcher, who was a very wealthy man who had direct access to the White House, and within him, Abaddon created a shard, whose mission was to become the new president of the United States. Abaddon was determined, if neither Lucifer nor God were going to start the Apocalypse, then he was. His plan was nothing short of unleashing a world war, or rather, a world nuclear war. However, his plan needed time to execute.

Alliance with Michael[]

During the period when he was possessing Robert Thatcher, Abaddon felt tremendous energy coming from Israel, close to where Canaan was formerly located. Abaddon then left Robert's body for a while and flew across the Earth until he reached the place where the great energy came from. Arriving in Israel, Abaddon possessed a random person and went to the site. When he got there, he found none other than Michael the Archangel. Abaddon then approached and talked to the Right Hand of God, and found that he was jealous and angry at Lucifer for her having returned to Heaven as if nothing she had previously done involving her rebellion mattered more, being welcomed back with praises and songs from their siblings. Abaddon found this situation interesting, and decided to take advantage of the situation to make a deal with Michael, for the two to get revenge on God and Lucifer.

Abaddon also raised the idea that he needed to become an Angel, otherwise he would be easily defeated by Lucifer, and wanted Michael to turn him into an Angel. Michael initially refused without a second thought, but after a few months, he personally went to Hell, warning Abaddon that he accepted the proposal. Over a period of twelve years, Abaddon was surreptitiously preparing his troops for the battle of Armageddon, while his shard worked on Earth, moving the strings like a puppeteer to create intrigue between the rulers.

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
~ Revelations 9:11 (KJV).

After a period of twelve years, with the third world war finally breaking out, Abaddon finally joins his army that is about to begin the final battle of good and evil. At the sound of the Fifth Trumpet of Apocalypse, the shard of Abaddon finally breaks the seal that closes the gates of Hell and the Demons are freed from Hell, swarming the humans on Earth. At the sounding of the Sixth Trumpet, Abaddon himself mounts his horse and gallops with his locust-like demons out of the Abyss in the Eighth Circle towards Earth. The planet is then attacked fiercely from several sides, with the demons destroying cities, killing people, and heading towards the city of Jerusalem, where the final battle will take place.

The Armageddon[]

When they arrived at the scene, Lucifer was already waiting for them in Megiddo with the celestial army. It was then that Michael appeared and revealed that he was rebelling against God and was determined to dethrone the Creator with the intention of becoming the new God. Along with Michael, several Angels who were his allies also arrived, now Fallen Angels. The other angels, who were with Lucifer, angrily attacked Michael's angels. As the sun set over the horizon and at the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet, that's when the battle between Lucifer and Abaddon began. Abaddon then transformed and revealed that he was now an angel, a Cherubim, transformed by Michael. As the Regent of Light could not handle Michael and Abaddon at the same time, Lucifer sent her shade, Great Red Dragon, to fight Michael as she battled Abaddon.

Lucifer was in her base form, not appealing to her Divine form, so she didn't have such an easy time defeating Abaddon. While the battle between Lucifer and Abaddon was going on, Michael fought the Great Red Dragon, while his angels fought Lucifer's angels in a fierce battle, two hundred million angels on each side, fighting each other. Michael with difficulty was able to defeat the Red Dragon. However, much to his surprise, the human Isaac Smith challenged him to a battle, taking advantage of the Archangel being worn out from fighting Lucifer's aspect. Michael ended up underestimating the power of his enemy and was defeated by him, reaching to the point of denying all his light, becoming a demon, only to be defeated once again by Isaac. Abaddon was eventually defeated by Lucifer and he, scared, ran towards Michael, who was also defeated on the ground. Abaddon took advantage of the fact that Michael had become a Demon and absorbed him completely, thus undergoing a new transformation and becoming a very powerful entity with the powers of Angel and Demon, now known as Sathariel.

Now, Lucifer, The Morning Star, our battle will result in the end of this age and this world. You will be destroyed by your own creation. And after taking you down, I will go to Heaven and I will dethrone the Most High! I reject you and God! Now, let the battle between the Daughter of God and the Devil begin, I am the Angel of the Bottomless Abyss, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. I am your destruction. The "Omega" for your "Alpha".
~ Abaddon to Lucifer.

Lucifer then enters her battle mode, unleashing all of her hidden power, which she had obtained by merging with Metatron's Cube and began a fierce battle between her and Abaddon, with each punch between the two causing a wave that shook the fabric of Creation, several unfathomable notes traversing the Multiverse. Although Lucifer was very powerful, at that moment, Abaddon had overcome her powers and, to the fear and sadness of the heroes of Earth and Heaven, Lucifer was eventually defeated.

With the Morning Star's defeat, Lucifer's Angels and Michael were about to resume the battle, and the Demons were already starting to attack the Angels, while Abaddon was about to kill Lucifer. That's when a small, feminine voice caught their attention. It was Isabel Smith, daughter of Isaac, approaching the battlefield. Abaddon didn't initially understand what that girl was doing there, until she said in Her cute voice "I Am Yahweh." As she uttered these words, an unfathomable and infinite power emanated from the girl, which encompassed all of creation, causing both the Divine Angels and the Fallen to bow before the girl, calling her "Yah".

Isabel then revealed her true identity, showing that she was, in reality, an avatar/aspect of God, who had been created precisely with the intention of preventing the End of the World. Isabel then assumed her God identity, releasing Her unspeakable power in the form of a gigantic energy tornado, which quickly encompassed the entire battlefield, including the Demon of the Abyss. God then showed His glory to Abaddon, and the Angel of the Abyss saw the stars being born and dying, he saw the darkness of the deepest caves, he saw the glory of lightning, the pagodas of China, the dances and songs of Haitian Vodou, he saw the galaxies spinning and merging, the atoms spinning in perfect harmony in balance, sustaining the entire Universe. God then told Abaddon that no matter who or how many reject him, He will remain the ineffable and eternal Yahweh, without beginning and without end, eternal and immortal.

After God showed the glory of His Creation to the Angel of the Abyss, Abaddon ended up for the first time feeling something called "terror". The Angel of the Abyss then fell to his knees in terror, for for the first time in his long life he had felt the majestic, titanic and immeasurable presence of God, and he now knew with more absolute certainty that what he had seen was only a insignificant fraction of the Will that gave life to everything and everyone. Isabel then with a snap of her fingers separated Michael and Abaddon and removed his angelic powers, and threw him into the Lake of Fire, Where he was being tortured for years and years.

After Isabel defeated Abaddon, She with a snap of her fingers sent all the demons back to Hell and freed the souls that were inside, and then closed the gates of Hell, with Abaddon and his demons inside. After that, the war raging across the globe was stopped, with the governors of several countries signing a peace contract. Despite the fact that the Third World War had almost devastated life on Earth, little by little humanity returned to reestablish itself.

Solomon's Arc[]

During the Arc of Solomon, twelve years after the end of the Third World War and the Apocalypse, after the ancient King of Israel regained his Ring, he gained power and authority again over the Seventy Two Pillars, that is, the seventy-two most powerful demons in Hell. During the final battle, Solomon pulled Abaddon out of the Lake of Fire, and although he was no longer as powerful as he once was, he received a power up from Solomon.

We're back to the old legend now. No matter what you try, human, the blazing flames may have burned my body, but they didn't burn my hate! I think the determination to kill keeps me from dying, I think I'm evil personified.
~ Abaddon to Isaac Smith.

Abaddon was eventually brought back with other Demon Lords, with Solomon manipulating them into attacking the heroes of Earth and Heaven, with Isaac Smith staying to fight Abaddon. Although the Abyss Demon thought he could fight the human, much to his surprise Isaac was much stronger than he is formerly, since he held in his hands the powers of the gods Izanagi and Izanami merged into himself, in addition to all knowledge and power of Sophia, his alter ego. Which resulted in Abaddon being easily defeated by Isaac, with the battle ending with Abaddon being charred by the flames of Haziel. Thus ending the history of the demon Abaddon, forever.

Appearance[]

Abaddon during his time on Earth and in Hell took on many forms. In Hell for example, his favorite form is that of a humanoid being, similar in appearance to a muscular man, 2 meters and 90 centimeters tall, possessing a grayish black skin tone. In this form, Abaddon's arms are darker on the forearm, with his fingers possessing sharp, lion-like claws. From the waist down, Abaddon's body is full of sharp spikes. Abaddon also has two tails similar to the tails of reptiles such as lizards. Adaddon's head is a man-like face, without hair or any fur, with glowing yellow eyes, which sometimes turn red or completely dark, with four sharp horns on its head, and a mouth full of sharp teeth like those of a shark. His most notable feature, however, is his two massive bat-like wings on his back, making him look even bigger than he already is.

Abaddon has also manifested as a female demon a few times, mostly with the intention of seducing or deceiving men. In her female form, Abaddon appears as a thin, petite woman, 1 meter 64 centimeters tall, possessing pale skin, representing death, with greenish eyes and black hair. She often appears wearing a gothic lolita-style dress, with either a scythe or a sword. Abaddon can also manifest long horns protruding from her head and massive bat-like wings from her back, giving her a disturbing and terrifying appearance. When in his incorporeal form, Abaddon usually manifests and is perceived as a dark smoke that moves from side to side.

When he became an Angel, his appearance changed drastically, changing to a handsome man with gray skin, dark hair, eyes with dark sclera and golden irises, possessing an attractive figure. In this form, Abaddon wears a more elegant outfit, resembling a dark cloak. Although he became a cherub, his wings turned black, indicating that he was a Fallen Angel. Inside the human, Robert Thatcher, Abaddon's appearance was that of a young-looking man, in his mid-twenties, with dark hair and dressed in a business suit with a black overcoat over it. However, sometimes when Abaddon's shard was exposed to some sacred object like a Bible or even the mention of God's name, he would had a spasm reaction, with his eyes turning completely pitch black, this being one of the reasons that led Isaac Smith to discover that the "president" of the United States was not exactly the "president".

After absorbing Michael, Abaddon's appearance changed drastically, becoming totally different from all of his other forms, due to the contradictory and conflicting nature between an Angel and a Demon. Abaddon became a devilish being, turning into a being with humanoid features, but with broken skin with several spikes coming out of his body, having a height of over 4 meters in height. His skin is red, dark red mixed with light red. His face is now very distorted, having instead of his mouth, a hole with a flaming light coming out of it, with huge, dark ram's horns protruding from his head, with his most notable feature being his wings which were now the damaged wings of a dragon, probably due to Michael's wings being broken before the merge. Abaddon also possesses an enormous tail protruding from his body, being as nearly as big as he is and possessing a sharp point.

Personality[]

Abaddon is known for several abominable and evil acts, being confused by humans with the Devil herself. Even in the supernatural world he is not well regarded, as he took advantage of the growth of Christianity to found a new religion that saw pagan gods as demons, making cultists worship demons instead of gods, giving rise to Satanism. From an early age, Abaddon was very submissive to Lucifer and saw him as the greatest among the greatest, the Lord and God of Demons, in the same way that Angels and Humans saw God as the Lord of Lords and the God of Gods.

In regarding to divine beings like the Angels, Abaddon has always despised them, them and their Creator, God, seeing them as nothing more than irritating beings. In Abaddon's view, Angels have always been inferior to Demons, with humans being equally as insignificant. Lucifer, of course, was seen as the only exception to all Angels, she and any Angel who abandoned their abode in Heaven to indulge in the pleasures of the flesh. Regarding the Gods, Abaddon always saw them in the same way as humans, since they were just humans with high spiritual powers, something that didn't make the slightest difference to him, since he was still much stronger.

Abaddon possesses an arrogant, persuasive and mischievous personality, and is very proud of himself, likely due to the fact that he was created as the personification of Lucifer's hatred and desire for revenge and destruction, whose goal was to annihilate all of Creation in order to take revenge on the Creator of All Things. Because of this, Abaddon has always been a frightening and evil demon, torturing souls in Hell, reveling in the screams of pain and fear of the people suffering in the Flaming Abyss. However, Abaddon seems to have a special hatred for the humans Samuel Smith and Esther Roberts, who sealed him and the other Demons in Hell for several years. This hatred was passed on to the rest of the Smith family, such as Isaac Smith, the grandson of Samuel and Esther, and to Helena Smith, Isaac's sister, who is Lucifer herself.

When Abaddon discovered that Lucifer had incarnated in Helena Smith, Abaddon initially believed that Lucifer was trapped inside the girl, and sent his demons to try to get Lucifer out of there and, upon discovering that Helena and Lucifer were literally the same person, Abaddon soon realized that this could only be the finger of God, who had transformed Lucifer's intangible, spiritual body into a tangible, physical body of flesh and blood. To make matters worse, after Abaddon discovered that Helena, that is, Lucifer, had given up being the Devil and had reverted to being an Angel of Light and returned to Paradise, it filled Abaddon's heart with doubt and anger, wondering if it was really real that Lucifer, the Angel that was hated by billions of humans and thousands of gods and goddesses and millions of angels, was now again the Regent of Light and the Left and Right Arm of God. Although it initially seemed impossible, it was reality.

As of today, I am the boss in this godforsaken flaming, disgusting pit. I hope I made it clear. Now, get these two carcasses out of here.
~ Abaddon after killing Leviathan and Belial.

Abaddon, then filled with rage and decided that he was going to become the new lord of Hell and he himself would destroy the world and take revenge on God and Lucifer. It was at this moment that Abaddon revealed his true nature, no longer possessing Lucifer's hatred anymore, but ended up developing his own hatred for everything and everyone, killing two of his siblings without a second thought just because they went against his will, showing that he doesn't care, or rather, never cared for anyone but himself. Another demonstration of Abaddon's evil personality was when he invaded the body of an innocent man and forced him to do what he wanted by placing a Shard inside him, with the intention of causing a Third World War between humanity. During the time that his shard was inside Robert Thatcher, the man suffered psychological pain, going from being a normal person to a manipulative and sociopathic madman, worsening his relationships with his family and friends, until finally causing disorder and chaos among the others rulers of planet Earth, to start a nuclear war between the nations of Earth.

This Shard also showed that although Abaddon is evil, he is a genius, remotely manipulating the population and the presidents and rulers of the planet to make them fight each other. This also shows the devilish side of Abaddon, as he would start a war that would annihilate the entire Planet and also start a war between the powers of Hell and Heaven, resulting in millions of deaths for both sides, and none of that seemed to matter to him, with only his revenge mattering, a desire that was also shared by the other demons. Abaddon was also shown to be a great manipulator, since his fake display of emotions made Michael trust him a little, telling him that he was angry and jealous of Lucifer, something that made Abaddon take advantage of the situation to offer a proposal to Michael, something which Archangel initially refused but later relented and accepted, but even after accepting and agreeing to turn Abaddon into an Angel and becoming his ally, he didn't want to make Abaddon a Seraph, after all he didn't trust the Abyss Demon enough to allow him to have that much power.

I underestimated the power of mortals and my sister... I think it's the end of us...
~ Michael defeated to Abaddon.
Oh yeah. It's really the end. But only for you, Michael.
~ Abaddon before absorbing Michael.

In the end, Michael's suspicions were right, as when he and Abaddon were losing the war against Lucifer, the Angel of the Abyss quickly betrayed and absorbed him, killing Michael in the process and getting all of his powers multiplied, all without a drop of resentment for having killed his ally. At the end of the battle, Abaddon told his creator, Lucifer, that he denies the Morning Star's authority and God's authority over the universe and was determined to dethrone both. However, all of Abaddon's confidence and pride fell to the ground when Isabel Smith, the avatar of God, manifested her divine powers, with her unfathomable and immeasurable power being making Abaddon feel for the first time the fear of dying, getting down on her knees and putting the head to the ground, wanting mercy from the Almighty. However, Isabel had no mercy on such evil and cast him into Hell, where Abaddon was tortured for years and years, with his sanity increasingly damaged and distorted.

When he returned during the Solomon's Arc, Abaddon once again displayed his great arrogance and underestimated his opponent who had defeated Michael, Isaac Smith, being defeated again and this time being erased from existence by Isabel's father.
